Lo Sano Restaurant & Bar

I placed several orders on DoorDash and uber eats and each order I was unhappy with the order expecting a Latin flavor and getting no flavor and a lot of over cooked food. Here’s an example : quesadilla has thick sloppy layer of finely shredded chicken and barely any cheese, the flavor of the chicken is poor with there being next to no flavor at all. The so called “ alcapurrias” is a burnt piece of god knows what. It was the worst spanish food I’ve ever had in my entire life and I’m not spending another dime here

Party of 4. We stopped for the first time, I was a little worried because there is a lot of bad review about slow service and mean server but everything was Awesome. Good music. Good service. Food was good I’ll be back. Yeraldi (La colombiana ) did an awesome job taking care of us.

A very cozy place as soon as you walk in. So much decor everywhere you look, making the place look fancy, while still keeping it casual. The service is great, and the food is incredible ! A hidden gem indeed. I will be coming back for sure, 10/10 recommend !

Went here for Mother’s Day and the restaurant was decorated beautifully. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The service was friendly and the manager was even very attentive. The price was reasonable. Would definitely come again

The Crab empanada and Yuca fries were so delicious!!! I also had the Sancocho soup very yummy…Nicely remodeled has a big screen to watch sports now. Bar tenders were very nice.

Food is good music is on point depending on the DJ but some people who come in don't know how to respect personal space. Some men come there alread drunk and acting goofy with no sense but since I'm a boxer I have to defuse the situation. Otherwise place is chill and the service is on point hookah is good to .

Great find in the city! Food quality, taste, and presentation was elevated. Crispy chicken bites that were well seasoned, crispy on the outside and perfectly tender and juicy on the inside. White rice was perfectly cooked and the beans were saucy with great flavor. With a great atmosphere, clean restaurant and bathrooms. The cocktail menu was very good and they even have a dance floor for Salsa nights. Can't wait to go back.

Was not accommodating at all!! Came here to get some food and was COMPLETELY IGNORED!! It was EMBARRASSING!! Asked the server the bartender the server and the security for help and left hungry and angry!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND unless you are Latina!! Embarrassing

Great vibes. Their food is really good with big portions. Music is great and so are their drinks. Highly recommend to hang out with a friend or celebrate a birthday.

Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious and well- plated. Great ambiance, music was a bit loud to hold a conversation. I will go back.

Review on the Tres Leches Cake After a long night of salsa dancing my friend and I treated ourselves to tres leches (three milk cake) for dessert. Although we were lucky enough to take the last slice, the "wet" cake did not meet our expectations. While the consistency of the dough was decently light and airy, the cake lacked moisture- characteristically absorbed from a balanced mixture of condensed, evaporated, and whole milk. There was an overwhelming taste of condensed milk ( the more viscous of the three), which could explain why the cake was on the drier side. Overall the cake wasn't bad, but we certainly had better elsewhere. On the contrary, those with a sweet tooth may find the cake to be quite enjoyable.

The food was so delicious and plated very well! Food was piping hot and wait time was reasonable for fresh and well prepared & plated. The Waitress takes in your order right from the table straight to the kitchen right from the handheld machine. And drinks were so good and well made as well. The decor is modern with that theme of green grass on a wall with the cursive modern lights over it to grab your attention to the long bar area, where you can sit and eat your meal as well. This has to be one of the best Dominican restaurants I have ever been to. I've been there 3 times so far, and all for Sunday brunch. Accompanied with Spanish music playing a variety of Latin music, and pitchers of mimosas... you definitely get that dinner vibe but it's 2 pm (which is perfect for me!) It looks like at night time, it becomes a bar/nightclub, because if the coat room and small DJ booth. And I have seen their flyers on the table of some known Latin artist that you can see perform there, they charge approximately $50 a person, on selected dates.

It was my first time going here, I didn't even know they existed. I'm glad I do now bc their food was amazing and their drinks were perfect. The service was great, they were so pleasant and the ambiance was cute. It's a restaurant in the daytime and an exciting lounge at night, with tons of security. Love it!!

Food was salty and the drinks wasn't strong and I don't like how they treated my son so rude they thought I didn't heard what they said but I heard everything they said I would never come here again I won't recommend no family to come here.

I was at Lo Sano during their Sunday brunch events to celebrate a friend's birthday. Apparently during their brunch, they allow only big groups. It was a good experience and we were a party of 12. The tables were set for us and there were several birthday parties that weekend. The food (Sancocho and the Hangover burger) was fantastic and i loved the passion fruit mojito. The staff were very attentive too. The only issue that i had was the noise level. The DJ played the music so loud that I couldn't hear the person sitting next to me and after I walked out of the restaurant my ears were still ringing and i had a headache. Outside of that, i will definitely come back during a quiet night and explore the menu.

LISTEN TO ME!! BEST EMPANADAS ON THIS PLANET! Stopped here for food while on tour and I think about this meal everyday. I live in California and will be bringing my wife to the east coast specifically for this incredible food. Really wish I had the words to express how much my band and I appreciated the hospitality and seemingly love-filled meal. Would give 111 stars if I could!

Sunday brunch day So DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FOOD IT TOOK 2 1/2 hours to get our food then when we got it IT WAS COLD AND THE STEAK WAS SO SALTY literally I think I got high cholesterol that day lmfoa that's how salty the food was ....some of the employees don't have a appealing customer service skills at ALL it was a party of 5 and all of our food was disgusting the shrimp mofongo was over cooked the shrimp was over cooked also we all woke up sick throwing up and sick to our stomach. It's sad because when I went there before the food was amazing It's sad that they there letting them selfs go meaning in food wise the music is great but THE FOOD SUCKED won't spend my money here again SO DISAPPOINTED

Service was horrible, I have to wait 27 minutes for only ONE (1) beer and almost 2 hours for food. It was a young lady with black long hair, she was taking care of us in a super bad mood. This happens Sunday April 7 at 1:50pm I try my best to be very polite, but she was super rude with our table. She forget to give us the menu, then we have to ask for the drink menus because she never mention where we can find the drinks... food was EXCELLENT! But definitely never going back again after this. Another person from the kitchen helps us more than our waitress with the orders. We asked for more water because she brings the drinks (COCA-cola only) super late too. Also, we were ready to order and she said to us "call me back at 2:00pm and remember to me what do you want, because the sancocho is not ready until 2:00pm" unsure why she was unable to just take the order. I never experienced this before from Lo Sano because is a great restaurant, but this was very unpleasant.

Finalllllyyyy a Spanish place in ct that gives you mommy's good cooking while going out! The atmosphere was a family touch my kids enjoyed and they had a full bar for daddy!! It was a family win.

Rachel.... that's all I want to say! First time we came here the host who was new did a great job for his first day on the day! However, the server on that day was horrible, our wait was about 45min prior to the seating for our drinks and appetizers when I decided to just get up and go. My husband decided to give it a second try, I went for it, although I was turnt off the first time. We came back and met with the young lady who's a bartender Rachel she was very apologetic for the other servers and made sure we were good with again the new host. Who was also great! Fun fact: she makes great drinks!

I was at lo sano restaurant yesterday for brunch and let me tell you!!!! Above my expectations, the environment is very nice and the people that work there are polite and attentive. Our waitress kept checking on us to make sure we were taken care of. The food was absolutely amazing and the special drinks were delicious!!!! All of my friends had a lot of fun!!! We will definitely be coming back for brunch again! If you like good customer service, nice environment and delicious food! This is your place to go!

The service was amazing! I was craving bacalao but it wasn't on the menu. Giselle, the waitress, said she could go across the street, buy the fish, and make it for me. And she did!!! It was delicious!!!!

Gross just ordered food from uber eat from here. Got beef tacos which were unseasoned beef with cherry tomatoes. Who in the fuck puts cherry tomatoes on a taco? Also got a cuban sandwich which barely had any meat and instead of pickles they put tomatoes. Whats up with you weirdos and tomatoes? Had to put my own god damn pickles on my sandwich. Bad very bad

Amazing! Had my first time ordering from here yesterday. Great food, really great variety of foods as well. (They do offer vegetarian dishes) I ordered for pick up from the restaurant. Very nice set up, as I was hearing people talk about how great the place looked, and they were right. Quality of food is awesome and the set up is amazing as well! Great start for a new restaurant/bar, and very nicely organized. Great service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something new and fun.

The owner, Leo, greeted us as we walked in the door and made sure we were taken care of to the MAX! Great service and food! I will SURELY be back here! Mary was a great server as well! 10/10

Well the inside of the Polo was gutted and it looks great inside. It was empty when we walked in but for a few people at the bar. The food is just OK, nothing fabulous. Much better spanish food in the area to compete with this place. There is still a stage so they must make money off of the night life not the food.

Food was no good.. ordered via delivery and they delivered a roast pork meal with all fat and very little pork. You could taste the oil dripping off (which was cold btw, even worse.) My stomach hurt immediately after consuming this.

Horrible experience with the food, it was horrible. my daughter asked for chicharron the pollo with white rice and got some breaded chicken tenders with really dried, hard, flavorless rice. Asked for beans to see if it would make it better but the beans were no good either. My daughter could just not eat it. I ordered stake with tostones. The steak was disgusting, so chewy and flavorless, the tostones were mediocre. I was soo disappointed. The atmosphere was great but horrible food. I would never eat there again!
