"Get off the G at Greenpoint Ave, start walking north, and you'll eventually find this place that looks like it belongs near a beach on Cape Cod. Lobster Joint is a New England-style seafood shack, and it's the neighborhood's premier destination for clam strips, fish and chips, and popcorn shrimp. All of those things are great, but don't forget to eat a lobster roll while you're here. They serve a few different kinds—including your classic New England and Connecticut varieties—and we tend to gravitate toward the Lobster Club Roll. Like the rest of the rolls, it comes on a toasted, undersized bun with a large mound of lobster recklessly spilling over the top, although it also has some crispy bacon and a good amount of avocado. Order one at the counter, along with a Bloody Mary (with lobster) or a Narragansett, and claim a picnic table on the sunny back patio." - Team Infatuation

After traveling back and forth between Jersey and Connecticut, I figured it was time to finally try a lobster roll in CT. The Lobster Hut has an unassuming presence and you just might drive right by it (even with GPS) like I did. There are some tables outside of the food truck so you can eat there or take it to go. I was surprised that a food truck had pagers to let you know when your order is ready. Of course I got the lobster roll platter with fries. The lobster roll was stuffed with fresh lobster and I appreciated the fact that they did not use a potato roll for the sandwich. Plenty of melted butter on the side and the two together made for one unforgettable lobster roll. And the fries were most excellent! Hot and crispy, and not the least bit greasy. The one item that I found disappointing was the lobster bisque. It’s probably more me than the Lobster Hut. It had plenty of lobster in it, but it just wasn’t as creamy as the lobster bisque I’m used to from my favorite seafood restaurant. To be fair, I’ve yet to find a lobster bisque that comes close. Lobster Hut’s was decent, but did not have that pop of flavor that I’ve come to expect. I will definitely come back here when I’m in the area. Lobster was so fresh and tasty.

In town for work and looking for lobster roll close by. Found this hidden gem and was super excited to try it out. Straight forward menu and choice was easy... 1/2 LB lobster roll platter. Roll was amazing and loaded with lobster... fries were hot and crisp. Highly recommend!

Both proprietors are wonderful, pleasant and competent. Always in a good mood. They make my food exactly as I have with multiple changes and it's always fabulous. Best hot dogs since the old days of Jimmy's. And great onion rolls too And need I say the lobster rolls are fabulous too.!

Lobster Hut is in a nice location, but that's definitely the highlight. With crazy expensive prices for average portions, there are many other places cheaper, and for better quality lobster. That bring said, the food itself was not bad by any means, just expensive. So unless you're looking for a quick lobster snack, I'd go somewhere else.

Amazing lobster rolls, period!! Walk up to the hut (literally) and order a double lobster meal, take it to silver sands Park find a great seating and enjoy. The lobster rolls are generously stuffed with tasty well seasoned lobster meat. If you are a lobster lover you have to try this Connecticut take. Yum!!

My experience with lobster food trucks hasn’t been great, but in CT, you do what the locals do so I tried it. The lobster rolls were good but not fantastic. I would say to save some bucks and do without the fries. Just purchase the rolls on its own. Not a seafood person? No problem. They sold hotdogs too - 2 hotdogs with fries. Each platter came with melted butter and cole slaw. I would most definitely drench the lobster roll in butter. The bread tasted a little sweet, which wasn’t bad so the combination of lobster with butter and what I’m assuming is Hawaiian bread is great.

Hundred percent flavor with zero frills location. Wanted to close out my long trip north eastern road trip with some good seafood and was not disappointed. The lobster roll & clam strip roll were terrific - loved the homemade pickled tarter sauce. Must stop!
