After visiting the stunning Lancelin Sand Dunes, we drove to Lobster Shack in Cervantes for lunch, and it was the perfect stop. We ordered the Shack Seafood Platter and upgraded it to include a whole lobster, shared among four people. The seafood was impressively fresh, and the lobster was sweet and succulent. The seafood chowder and abalones were also enjoyable—rich, comforting, and full of flavour. The homemade sauces, which complemented the seafood beautifully and took the entire platter to another level. We chose to sit outdoors and were rewarded with a breathtaking view of the vibrant blue sea, which added to the relaxed coastal atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We had a great time at Lobster Shack on our recent WA roadtrip (from Sydney) and would highly recommend it. We had lunch on our first day and, of course, ordered the lobster. It was my first time trying Western rock lobster and it was awesome – much sweeter than the Eastern rock lobster which I’ve had before. The food overall was excellent. One small suggestion would be to allow food ordering via the app (as you do for drinks), as the food queues can get quite long at peak times. The following day we joined a sea lion tour with Tamaka and Summer, who were fantastic guides and had such great energy. We saw several sea lions and had an amazing experience swimming with them. I’d recommend taking the flippers option, as the rocks in the water can be sharp. Our original tour with a Jurien Bay operator was cancelled due to wind, so we rebooked with Lobster Shack, who luckily had availability. The boat captain mentioned that tours from Cervantes are less likely to be cancelled due to the calmer waters.

An absolutely amazing experience that goes far beyond just a restaurant. The lobster fishing boat tour is very well organized and a lot of fun, making the whole experience even more special. The overall structure is excellent, the shop, restaurant, and facilities are very well set up. The only downside is the lack of showers. The food was delicious, with incredibly fresh seafood, and the boat tour itself was a highlight. A special mention to the all-female crew, who were outstanding and made the experience even more inspiring. It’s truly a unique and unforgettable experience, and definitely worth it! I high recomend if you are close to there and would like experience a new aventure.

Best lobster we have ever had! We did the pot to plate tour and got to eat the freshest catch. The next day we did the sea lion tour followed by lunch again, this time adding fresh abalone and lobster tacos. Super friendly attentive staff and high quality seafood. The factory tour was also well worth doing - learnt a lot and got to hold some live lobsters. Also possible to take away lobster sushi, cooked Carnavon prawns and sauce - look forward to eating them for dinner. Highly recommend and will be back!

**Service:** Efficient but not particularly attentive; expects a relaxed, informal dining approach. ——————— **Ambiance:** Casual and laid-back with a beachside charm, great for groups and families. ——————— **Taste:** Seafood quality is decent but inconsistent. Lobster and fish often overcooked, which affects taste. ——————— **Recommendation:** Best for diners who value scenic views and a social atmosphere over fine dining. The platter priced at is considered the most cost-effective option for sharing. ——————— **Overall review:** While prices are on the higher side, especially with platters around , the value is reasonable compared to a la carte options. The food quality is mixed but the experience suits casual gatherings by the sea.

Given the price point and that we were by the sea, I’d have expected the seafood to be fresher…. Oysters were really mid and I didn’t feel the sense of enjoyment from slurping it. It was rather fishy. Lobster filling was relatively generous. Chowder was my favourite.

Google
I read the reviews and wasn’t sure how this place would be. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! It was one of the best seafood platters and mussels that I have ever had. The calamari and fish were perfectly cooked. The lobster is fresh and very tasty! The atmosphere and view are just indescribable. We were also very happy that they had the bulmers cider to just top off the perfect lunch. Must do if in the area!

Had the fish and chips and the lobster roll. The fish and chips were greasy and slightly over fried. They used Spanish mackerel, which is already an oily fish in their fish and chips, so it gave a greasy aftertaste. On the bright side, the lobster roll had generous amounts of lobster. It was sweet and tasted fresh. It was value for money in my opinion. They were also awfully generous with their chips.

Yelp
Buy lobster & eat lobster from this local seafood icon. Its self serve. Clean & tidy. System works for large numbers of guests. Loster grilled with butter, fried in garlic sauce and pan fried abalone. Self serve. Retail lobster tails also available.

Yelp
It's around 2 hours away from Perth CBD, located close to the Pinnacles. It's full of tourist because of the location. The setup of the location is very simple. The staff are friendly, the lobster that we ordered and the grilled fish and chips are very good. The lobster is very fresh! I would return to this place again if we are heading to Pinnacles if not it's not worth the drive at all.

Yelp
Lobster special and BBQ abalone both tasted very fresh. Tour of the factory was also nice.

Yelp
Lobster! Who DOESN'T like it? So after a few hours today getting lost walking around taking goofy photos in The Pinnacles we ended up at this place by chance. We were filling up on fuel at the service station just off Cervantes Road (we were running on empty) and asked about places that were recommended for lunch. After hearing of a certain "Lobster Shack" our taste buds were definitely starting to anticipate the meal ahead. On initial impression it seems as if you are in the wrong place as it appears to be more of a factory when you first arrive. Braving the unknown to tame our rumbling bellies we carried on through the car park and located the hidden "shack" of lobster goodness. The setting is quite cool and has PLENTY of shaded seating. It is a easy as choosing a deal from the shop nearby and then handing your ticket to the chef in the "shack" who cooks up your FRESH Lobster dish. We opted for the "Jumbo" meal which is a special they are currently running. This included 1/2 a monstrous Lobster, 3 * lobster and seafood medallions, 4 * battered fish pieces, hand cut chips and a small salad for $65 all up. This has probably got to be the BEST/FRESHEST Lobster I have ever had. Big call I know but if you doubt me try it for yourself. Money value seems pretty decent too. Because this "shack" backs onto the factory (tours available) were the Lobsters are processed it is even possible to buy live or/and frozen lobsters to take home with you to try your hand at cooking. TIP: Live Lobsters require drowning OBVIOUSLY so don't get one if your not comfortable with that kind of preparation work before cooking. Frozen is still okay and eskies and ice/gel packs are also available.

Yelp
Ordered, paid for 3 lunches, got cutlery ceramic cups water bottle serviettes salt beside door. No trays provided. Walked out with hands full. Saw family sitting on same level I was on. Caught foot on anti slip bar fixed to step I did not see. There are 2 steps down to open area and 2 steps up to where family were sitting, there are warning signs visible. I went down, bottle smashed, ceramic cups in right hand broke. I landed on the 2 steps up to where my family were. Hand went through ceramic glasses and shredded my right index finger, broke the knuckle and cut the tendon. Staff ran to my assistance. They helped me up. Even before first aid box appeared they were cleaning up the glass and washing all the blood away. I was in shock. Chap from their boats with first aid training wrapped up my hand and suggested not to go to emergency room close by but to a hospital. They could not wait to get us out the door. Our expensive lunch was put into a "hot bag" and it was suggested we get going ASAP as I was bleeding heavily. Never got to eat any food. They had cleaned up and got rid of us so fast when I was going out the door you'd swear nothing had happened. I am now stitched up after an operation and in a cast. It took over 2 hours to get to jundaloop medical centre and the back of the car was covered in blood. My Australian holiday of a lifetime is now destroyed as is my families. I have to keep going back to hospital for treatment and cannot do the things I intended to. Don't go there.

Yelp
A breathtaking sea view, fresh food, super friendly and efficient service! Great family atmosphere, pet friendly and the Sea Lions tour is the icing on the cake!

Yelp
Drove for two hours over the recent long weekend just for this.... and i am not joking. Of course to make the wife and the kids willing parties to the trip, I had to sweeten the deal with visits to the sand dunes (aka pile of sand) and The Pinnacles (aka pile of strange looking rocks). :D Whereas there was ever only one thing and one thing only that i was aiming for. LOBSTERS!! Well, the long and short if it.. . it's ok. Food wasn't bad, but just not worth having to travel 2 hours for. We ordered a few serving of fish and chips and lobsters. The seafood were very fresh in general- The lobsters were cooked just right, and at $38 for a medium sized half, were within reason. However the fish and chips were too pricey for just a tiny portion. The next time I have a lobster sized craving, I may look for somewhere nearer to home before contemplating the 2 hour drive - perhaps this is the reason more than 80% of patrons there were tourists :)

Yelp
Very terrible experience at this restaurant soooo expensive got my orders wrong, twice no less. No air conditioning provided and you cannot bring your own wine... Just a place ripping off Chinese tourists
