Lobster Trapp

We had amazing dinner here during our stay in Jamicia. Highly recommend. Service and food incredible. A wonderful family business. As reviews mention make sure to call ahead or organize with your hotel concierge as they open based on what they have caught etc. Can’t wait to come back!

Our hotel secured us a Saturday night reservation and we are so thankful - this is a special restaurant! Quick ride through Hopewell and you arrive at the most intimate dinner overlooking the sun setting on the ocean. We felt like family by the end of the night, learning about the restaurant’s history of her father being a pioneer and seeing his daughter run the restaurant with her young daughter by her side. I could eat their lobster with special butter, crispy potatoes, toast and veggies every day. And don’t forget to crack the lobster claws!! Thank you, we can’t wait to come back!

Food, service, atmosphere was all 5 stars! This is a family run business. It was pouring rain and it was still an incredible romantic experience. Seafood is caught the same day. Highly recommend.

The best succulent lobster in a magical setting with excellent service. It was a perfect evening with 20 friends. We were the only ones in the restaurant. They opened for us. I will not forget my experience at the Lobster Trapp in Hopewell. You must go!

Very private and intimate experience! Make reservations ahead of time. My husband ordered the lobster and I ordered the chicken. Food was great! We found this place on accident and we ate glad we did. Sit by the ocean while enjoying your meal.

The lobster trap was an amazing place. It has the potential to be so much more. It's a beautiful location but they have trash piles and its hard to walk on the rocks. It was a bit over priced, I'm sure b/c we are Americans. The food was awesome and the service was good until we paid. Now understand we paid extra and tipped everyone really good! But it took them over 30mins to bring us a to-go container. So if you go I don't recommend paying until you're about to leave. Also, Rooster the yard -boy was very nice and entertaining!! It is a place you can eat and swim in the ocean.

Such a magical setting on the edge of the ocean - intimate, romantic, and always blissfully private (have seen max 1 other couple eating at the same time). Warm, family operated service. Fresh, perfectly prepared, subtle, authentic food that is literally all we want to eat when we are in Montego Bay. We would (and have tried to) eat dinner there every day. It is far more delicious and better priced than the fancier hotel restaurant near by. Highly, highly recommend!
