Internet-Favorite Chefs TwayDaBae and Alvin Cailan Open Studio City Mini Food Hall | Eater LA

"Opened July 2 in Studio City, this new food hall brings some of the internet’s favorite chefs under one roof and operates more than a dozen locations in Northern California with a brief earlier stint in Orange County. The concept employs a single kitchen and uses recipes from well-known chefs and food personalities, allowing diners to pick and choose meals from a Cheesecake Factory-level of options; the model aims to maintain consistency and efficiency to improve profitability amid rising ingredient, labor, and rent costs. The Los Angeles outpost departs from the brand’s mostly takeout-and-delivery history in Northern California by offering on-site seating, cashiers, greeters, and servers, and it entered the Los Angeles market seven months after Neighborly’s debut. On any given visit diners can get an Oklahoma-style smash burger from Alvin Cailan (of Chinatown’s Amboy) loaded with bacon or chiles; Vietnamese broken rice plates from Tuệ Nguyen with blackened chicken or braised pork belly; Mexican carne asada or chicken adobada rice plates from cookbook author Rick Martinez; fried chicken from Proposition Chicken; and eastern Mediterranean dishes by Einat Admony such as a green falafel topped with pickled cabbage and sumac red onion. Most dishes are reasonably priced under $20 (many hover around $10 before taxes and fees). Dessert options are limited to items like berry sauce–covered nachos and a molasses chocolate chunk cookie. Competitor Neighborly has already announced new Los Angeles locations, indicating momentum for the new-school food hall concept." - Matthew Kang

The Most Anticipated Los Angeles Restaurant Openings, Summer 2025 | Eater LA

"A Studio City outpost of the Local Kitchens concept that brings multiple partnered chefs under one roof with a fuller dining experience—13 tables, communal seating, patio, ceramic plateware, murals, and staffed service—in contrast to the chain's kiosk-first model; menus will include Alvin Cailan's Oklahoma-style shaved onion Sweet Onion Burger, Tuệ Nguyễn's Tấm Tấm broken-rice dishes with charbroiled chicken and braised pork belly, Yalla Falafel's stuffed falafel and amba chicken pitas, and Proposition Chicken's Southern-style fried chicken tenders and sandwiches." - Matthew Kang

Mini Food Hall Local Kitchens, With Restaurants by TwayDaBae and Alvin Cailan, Is Opening in LA | Eater LA

"A mini-food-hall concept opening in June 2025 at 3960 Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Los Angeles, this single-kitchen operation partners with established chefs and restaurants to combine multiple menus and dishes under one roof. Customers will see multiple branded menus, including Sweet Onion Burger by chef Alvin Cailan (who owns Amboy in Chinatown) and Tấm Tấm Rice by chef Tuệ Nguyễn (who helms Đi Đì in West Hollywood and is also known by her social media handle TwayDaBae). Other partner menus include Yalla Falafel from New York City chef Einat Admony and Proposition Chicken from the Bay Area, with additional chef partners to be announced. The dining setup will be more complete than many mini-hall prototypes: 13 tables, communal seating, patio seating, ceramic plateware, murals painted by Los Angeles artists, and more staff on hand to greet customers, take orders, and facilitate service — a contrast to the chain’s earlier, “digital-first,” kiosk-oriented Bay Area outlets. The concept follows the recent trend of mini-food halls that operate out of a single kitchen — think cloud or ghost kitchens but with chefs licensing recipes and brand likeness — and was launched in 2020 by former DoorDash co-founders Jon Goldsmith and Andrew Munday, who have partnered with influencers and known chefs to serve popular items like burgers and fried chicken. Menu highlights preserved from partner kitchens: Tấm Tấm Rice focuses on the chef’s take on Vietnamese broken rice dishes, with charbroiled chicken and braised pork belly over rice, spicy pork belly fried rice, and crispy egg rolls; Sweet Onion Burger features Alvin Cailan’s Oklahoma-style shaved onion burgers with quarter-pound patties and plush white buns; Yalla Falafel makes stuffed falafel and amba chicken pita sandwiches; and Proposition Chicken offers Southern-style crispy fried chicken tenders and sandwiches. Orders will be accepted through the brand’s app and in person for dine-in or takeout, with delivery available via Uber Eats and DoorDash." - Matthew Kang

Google
So excited that this place has opened in LA!! Used to love going when I lived in the Bay, and their new Studio City location is even better. A great option for a quick weekday lunch or when you're with friends and can't agree if you should get Mexican or Asian or burgers. We tried the Carne Asada Carmelo Taco, Broke Chick Tam, and Green Falafel. Loved them all but my favorite was the Carmelo Taco - have had a lot of Mexican food but never anything like it. Super flavorful carne asada that wasn't dry at all and yummy melted cheese. Definitely want to try more of Rick Martinez's menu next time. Service was friendly and ambiance was great - plenty of seating and the parking lot is a bonus! Will be coming back!

Google
One of the best pork belly dish I've had in a long time! the food literally melts in your mouth! lots of flavor and arrangements of pickled side veggies that balances out your taste buds it makes every bite so much fun! I've also ordered chips n bean dips and I couldn't stop. The service was phenomenal! I'm coming back for dinner. I definitely recommend..

Studio City has a great go to lunch spot with Local Kitchens. What makes this place stand out is both the food and the concept. You can order from multiple restaurant options under one roof, so it works well if you are with a group or just want variety in one meal. This location features Chef Rick’s Mexican with Sonoran inspired tacos and burritos, Chef Alvin’s Burgers with Oklahoma onion burgers, Chef Ari’s Fried Chicken with California style fried chicken, Chef Tuệ’s Vietnamese with Saigon inspired rice plates, and Chef Einat’s Mediterranean with Tel Aviv inspired pitas and plates. I tried the fried chicken sandwich, spiced fries, chicken nuggets with ranch, and the Persian cucumber lemonade. The chicken sandwich was juicy and crispy with more of a chipotle style flavor. It is less salty than a Popeyes sandwich and instead has a smoky spice that feels intentional. The pickles and sauce bring good balance. The spiced fries were probably the highlight. They are crispy and seasoned almost like Cajun fries but with their own twist. I would definitely get them again. The nuggets taste like the sandwich filling without the bun, so they are a good option if you just want the protein. The ranch was solid and paired well with the crispy breading. The Persian cucumber lemonade was refreshing, tangy, and not overly sweet. It is pulp heavy, so if you do not like texture in your drinks that may be something to note, but I thought the flavor was great. Overall this is an easy lunch spot that I would come back to. I am rounding up to 5 because the quality and variety deserve it. Between the fries, the sandwich, and the drink, this was a really satisfying meal. I also like that they are open later and have a wide mix of options, and I look forward to coming back to try more from the different chefs.

The braised pork belly broken Rice has very authentic flavors. Blew me away! Cant wait to try more items. My friend has the fried chicken sandwich, also delicous.

Google
This place seriously impressed me. Local Kitchen is one of those spots where you can tell the chefs really care. every dish feels like it has a story behind it. They describe their food as inspired by personal connections to flavors on their board. I tried a little bit of everything: - Veggie egg rolls were super crisp and fresh, not greasy at all. -Pork belly tam was rich, tender, and packed with flavor. -Garlic fries hit the spot, crunchy with just the right amount of garlic. -Steak taco had bold flavor in a small bite and perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. -Burger was juicy and satisfying, a nice balance between comfort food and something a little more elevated. - Vietnamese coffee? Strong, sweet, and the perfect end to the meal. The vibe is casual but nice, not too fancy, not too basic. You can tell there’s a lot of heart behind the menu. Everything tasted intentional, like the chefs really put their personality into each dish. Local Kitchen is worth checking out. Great spot for sharing plates and trying a bit of everything.

Google
Still loving Local Kitchens and have ordered to go from here several times already. I was super excited to order the jackfruit salad however, the jackfruit protein was virtually non existent so ended up with basically just a bowl of greens. Bonus though — it did come with a spring roll which was delicious. While the greens were tasty, I really would have loved to try the full experience of Chef Tue’s bowl - I will keep ordering from here but just be sure to ask for the jackfruit if you come in here hungry to try it.

Google
What an amazing restaurant. I love each of the chefs's menus - each one feels so personal to the them.

Google
Fresh, hot, fast, delicious I was disappointed to see the pre-opening announcement billboards showing “yet another” smash burger and fried chicken sandwich joint. Now that I’ve ordered for the first time, I’m genuinely excited to report the food is INSANE. I ordered the cauliflower, chicken pita sandwich, Vietnamese egg rolls and the fried chicken salad. Everything looks good, but those first three items were *chef’s kiss* Ordering delivery at 8pm usually has the most dismal options. But now? The flavor, the textures, the color! Wow. I’m going to be coming back to try more.

Yelp
Over the last few years, the food hall concept has taken over as a one stop shop for dining out. Whether it's inside a mall or a casino, food halls have become the new normal. However when I heard who were the chefs behind Local Kitchens, I knew this restaurant would be in a class of its own. Local Kitchens recently opened in LA and is located inside the Studio City Plaza taking over where Pick Up Stix used to be. There's plenty of free parking and they also offer outdoor patio seating. What makes Local Kitchens standout is that it's 5 different restaurants under one roof with each chef bringing specific dishes. They've been open for about a month and each time I've gone, the customer service has been amazing. It's a very modern space with art showcasing each individual chef. As soon as you walk in, you enter your order on a kiosk and the food is prepared within a few minutes. The menu offers your choice of Vietnamese, Mediterranean, California style fried chicken, Sonoran Tacos/Burritos, and Oklahoma style burgers. Of the dishes I've tried thus far, my personal favorites have been the SOB, Caramelo asada taco, and the raspberry lemonade. Besides the food being reasonably priced, Local Kitchens also brings attention to the different cultures that make up the restaurant industry. I can't wait to order something new tonight!

Yelp
Nothing's more frustrating than ordering food first, only to watch other tables--who ordered the same dish after you--get served before you. That's not just bad luck; that's a broken system. Fix your process and your protocol, or this place will end up like every other LA spot that shutters before it even gets going. Then came the "chicken sandwich"--a single chicken tender on a bun (pictured below). That's not a meal. That's a joke. But the real problem? Sam. The guy working the counter today couldn't care less. He didn't just mishandle the situation--he almost laughed it off, not sarcastically, but because he seemed too clueless to even realize how bad it was. The last time we came, the person running things actually cared. This time, it felt like no one was in charge, and Sam was coasting through, oblivious to the concept of customer service. And when we asked for a refund for that overpriced "sandwich"? Sam informed us they can't even process refunds on-site. Instead, we're told to wait for "services" to contact us--whenever they feel like it. Good food can't save a place when service is this careless. With staff like Sam running the show, this place isn't just on borrowed time--it's already circling the drain.

Yelp
Very nice place , clean inside. All the guys in the back are very nice and very helpful. I'm officially addicted to the CHICKEN TENDERS Tacos are also very tasty. This a great place when I'm not sure what I want to eat. Love the patio outside, door friendly always a plus for me .

Yelp
I was so excited to hear that a new eatery had opened in Studio City, especially one in such a convenient spot near where I usually hang out and grab food. I came with my parents and we shared a little bit of everything to get a good sense of the menu. First off, the Vietnamese Salted Cream Iced Coffee was a standout. The Trung Nguyen premium coffee, sweetened condensed milk, and salted cream tasted like dessert in a cup. Rich, sweet, and creamy in the best way. The Chicken Adobado Burrito was packed with flavor. Queso chihuahua, refried beans, caramelized onions, guac, pickled red onion, and not one but two kinds of salsa. The pecan salsa macha gave it a great nutty heat and the grilled tortilla held everything together perfectly. We also loved the Amba Chicken Hummus Plate. The shawarma spiced chicken paired so well with the creamy hummus and bright toppings like pickled cabbage, sumac onions, and spicy green schug. The pita bread was warm, fluffy, and slightly underbaked in the best way; almost pillowy. Such a good shareable plate. The Housemade Guacamole and Chips were fresh and zesty, classic but elevated with a nice kick from the serrano chile and jalapeño. The Bork Chick Tam came with charbroiled chicken, broken rice, a pork and egg quiche, pickled mustard greens, and more. The chicken was incredibly moist and the variety of textures and flavors made this dish super satisfying. For dessert, we split the Molasses Chocolate Chunk Cookie, which was chewy, rich, with just the right hit of sea salt and the Summer Berry Nachos, which were a fun creative treat with crispy cinnamon sugar chips and tangy berry salsa. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully put together. I'm really looking forward to going back and trying even more from the menu, especially to see what other guest chefs or specials they might introduce in the future.

Yelp
The staff could not be more amazing. I had a hummus plate with green falafel. It was amazing. So many tastes that are different yet work together in harmony. The falafel are legit green. The pita bread is fluffy and thick and perfect for hummus pick up. They are the best falafel around. I'm so excited that this restaurant is close to work. It's easy to order. Food came out quickly. And the place itself is super cute. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Amazing addition to studio city! I love how you can have a 'tour of flavors' here. Seating is mostly limited to 2 seaters so it may be tricky to come with a big group as there is only one big community style table for big groups. The team is so nice, helpful and attentive. As a team learning the rhythm of opening a new spot they can be tricky and they nailed it. The food came out quickly and hot! We tried a bit of everything - the standouts were the chips + guac, chicken tenders, and pork belly tam. The chef inspired dishes are unique, flavorful, and makes you feel like you're eating right of their cook book! Be sure to end your experience with a horchata - it tastes like a berry dessert! Notes: - it's a bit small inside, so takeout may be the best option depending on the time of day - the amba chicken pita had a bit too much sauce for my liking (amba aioli) Will definitely be back and encourage you to try!

Yelp
Great new addition to Studio City! My husband and I attended the soft opening of Local Kitchens, and everything was so good! From the minute we walked in, we were greeted, and they took our order very quickly! The food also all arrived super fast too! We tried a little bit of everything, from each of the different chef's menus. Some of our highlights were the elote, pork belly tam, and the chicken tenders! The elote had the perfect level of spice from the pecan salsa macha. The pork belly tam was very tender and flavorful! The chicken tenders were also very juicy, yet crunchy! The inside is quite small, but they did a nice job at accommodating everyone. All of the servers were very kind and answered all of our questions! I can see this being the perfect spot to grab and go some delicious and affordable food if you're on the go!

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance are top notch. First time customers and ordered the Bacon SOB, the SOB with the side of fries and Aoli garlic sauce and SOB sauce. Also, ordered the Orange Creamsicle soda. They were all good and reasonably priced. We'll come back to try other items on their menu. Nice addition to the food scene in Studio City. Easy to get to with ample parking.

Yelp
Local Kitchens. Never heard of the name before. Catchy and interesting. On the 12th of this month I visited this new location that just opened couple of weeks ago and is doing great! I walked in and was greeted by Samuel and he was pretty knowledgeable about the menu and was also helpful to help me pick out few items from their extensive menu options and I was ready to go. The menu is divided into sections: by 5 different chefs and kind of incorporated all together. I got their 2 Carne Asada tacos, elote corn, a burger with their SOB sauce which stands for (sweet onion burger) and Raspberry lemonade. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. Eclectic & Authentic. Which I liked and was very much impressed by it. With that being said, I told myself that I will visit this unique restaurant with a different twist, one or two more times before I write a review on them. Yesterday, after my doctor's appointment my son and I went to LK to try more of their dishes. We both shared Elote corn, Amba Chicken Pita sandwich, The Broke Chick Tam, Chicken Adobado Rice Plate and Vietnamese Egg Rolls. Everything tasted HEAVENLY!! Fair portions and affordable prices. Restaurant is very cozy, nice, clean, with upbeat music, and friendly, customer service. Employees are well trained, and knowledgeable with the menu. It can be a bit confusing, but they walk you thru it. Has a patio, great art work on their walls and not one, but two clean restrooms. Also they are selling books by the chefs and have it on display as a decor. I thought that was dope. Thank you Samuel, Andy, Mia, and all the other employees and management. Will definitely return and it is literally 5 minutes away from my house. Will post pictures soon.:-)) Keep up the good work & ALWAYS BE CONSISTENT!!!!

Yelp
Local kitchen delivered. came here for the first time and explored their menu. the food was so fresh and delicious. Probably the best corn on the cob I've ever had in my life and the pita bread was beautiful. Had the caramelized taco it had just a perfect hit of spice.. The staff is super helpful and nice. Plenty of parking. Do your life a favor and pull up. The inside is super clean and you can eat inside or outside. Really nice vibe.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic food and service. Love the concept. I am a vegetarian and they had plenty of options along with meat options. A few must haves: - Jalapeño Ranch Wedge Salad - Black garlic cauliflower - Elote con Chiltepin
google avatar

Loretta F.

Yelp
From the moment you walk into this humble location, the energy is positive. Friendly greetings and sincere "thank you's" from the knowledgeable staff. Then the food and beverage arrive and Wow! We had items from Rick Martinez and also some egg rolls. Everything was delicious, hot and so fresh. We also had a berry horchata and a Vietnamese ice coffee with salt cream. Both exceptional. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
I just got to experience this new spot and got myself traditional Vietnamese dish and I am pretty satisfied with this dish because I love the fact that they have broken rice and the egg quiche with the daikon and cucumbers. It definitely feels very traditional since my family is from Vietnam ! I was a little worried at first only because they have all other kinds of foods, but I do like the fact that they are working with different chefs and have a big variety on the menu. The staff were really friendly as well so I definitely would come back and try the burgers!
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Loved the broke chick tam and the cucumber mint lemonade. Really tasty, great portion size! The server warned me the cucumber mint lemonade was a little pulpy, but I loved it. So refreshing. The only downside is everything on the menu looks amazing, it's hard to choose! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Tucked into Studio City like a hidden gem, Local Kitchens is a flavor-packed food hall that punches way above its weight. With a rotating lineup of local favorites under one roof, it's like a culinary cheat code for indecisive foodies. I tried Chef Tue's Vietnamese - The Rich Pork Belly Tam Braised pork belly over broken rice with pickled veggies, crispy onions, and sweet fish sauce. A comforting, umami-packed dish and was blown away by the freshness and speed--perfect for a quick bite that doesn't skimp on quality. Bonus points for the clean, modern vibe and friendly staff who actually seem to enjoy being there. Can't wait to come back and taste my way through the rest of the lineup.

Michael S.

Yelp
I read about Local Kitchens opening on Eater or Nextdoor, so when I saw that it was open, I decided to give it a try. So happy that I did. First, the person taking my order was excellent. I didn't get his name, but I suspect he was the manager. Very friendly and gave great advice on the food offerings. I took his advice for the Vietnamese Pork Belly that turned out to be excellent. Very tasty, high quality food. I highly recommend Local Kitchens. It lived up to the hype.

Chris S.

Yelp
Delicious! Seriously, the place to go with friends or family who might not all want to eat the same "genre" of items. My friend and I dined "buffet style" where we ordered some different items and tried a few bites of all the plates. The challenge? Everything was fantastic. So, here's what we loved (sorry, long list and names weren't exactly the same as what's on the menu): Vietnamese spring rolls - oh my goodness, my friend is a pho snob - said these were the best she's found - I thought they were delicious too SOB Burger - just wow Fries - I'm a fry snob - these pass the test with flying colors Herb-y Chicken Salad - fabulous (green, also full of herbs and a crispy fried chicken - healthy and naughty all in one bowl) Sweet nachos - seriously who knew raspberries, lime, cream and crispy brown sugar/cinnamon tortillas (anyone remember "Cinnamon Crispas" when that fast food chain with the bell was good?) would be such a magical match? Chocolate salted chunk cookie - seriously - just try it Mint cucumber lemonade - I can't even remember tasting something so refreshing and wonderful Raspberry lemonade - not just for summer, we'll drink this year-round Hearing all the other patrons at the tables next to us oohing and aahing over their plates made us realize, we weren't the only ones who chose well! We'll be back... often!

H G.

Yelp
Excellent food! We got the am a chicken pita and it was so flavorful and juicy, the portion was perfect for a lunch, we also got a Mexican rice plate with chicken is was also super delicious but kinda small. The place looks nice but the restrooms were both dirty, they should pay more attention to this and clean it more often.
google avatar

Wolfie T.

Yelp
This restaurant is phenomenal. Their cucumber lemonade is house made and tastes incredible. The Vietnamese food is some of the best I've ever had -- better than I've had in Vietnam. Highly recommend to everyone! There's something for everyone
google avatar

Flip F.

Yelp
Insane food and quality!! It's been a long time since I felt wowed by a restaurant and their dishes and this place did not disappoint. Tried a multitude of dishes and everything was delicious!
google avatar

G G.

Yelp
A restaurant dedicated to a handful of chefs and their own creative menus is a great concept. The food's flavor is indeed enjoyable. However, I expect the standard of making the plate look like the picture to be upheld unlike some garbage place like burger king. Well, here we saw the Burger King tradition of showing a beautiful picture of food and then delivering a disappointment upon ordering. In the photo there's at least a half cup maybe a whole cup of beans one of the things I was looking forward to in this meal and instead I was given a minuscule tablespoon of beans on my plate among the very small portion you get for paying close to $20 for. These ingredients are not expensive. I could've made the same meal at home for the same price and fed myself for a week. I could've gone to chipotle. And had at least two meals out of it. This was just disrespectful. It wasn't even a full meal. It's like half a meal. And now I have to prepare another meal. you should be ashamed of yourselves charging this much money for this little amount of food you people are probably making a killing while ripping off the customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience during the soft opening- never been to a place where everyone is so friendly and happy to be part of the team! I had the two aviv dishes - falafel rice plate , extra pita and amba sauce- so freaking delicious. Hubby had falafel pita and loved it, especially the sauce I shared- it's mango/turmeric! Lovely time! Thank you! Oh and delicious complementary cookies just because i waited a few minutes extra!!!

Nicholas N.

Yelp
Staff here were definitely of wonderful service. Heard about the Local Kitchens through the Facebook ads with Chef Alvin Cailan. Got to try the burgers and com tam, and both were delicious! Everything was so clean and definitely will be back. Was here on the 4th of July.

V M.

Yelp
Incredible customer service! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and clean and beautifully presented. We were a party of 7 with friends from out of town, so we sat and talked for a while and never felt rushed. Really great experience and we will be back!

Yelp
Great menu! Tons of variety. I got the chicken tam plate...amazing. Also seems very reasonably priced...I don't normally leave reviews but impressed enough to. I recommend.

Yelp
Just went to the grand opening and tried a little bit of each with my cousin. Absolutely delicious. We must have had 6 dishes. Highly Recommend the Mexican, Vietnamese & mediterranean, dishes and drinks. The owners were so friendly and team had a great energy! Definitely coming back soon with family & friends!

Yelp
Visited again today. Had the Amba Chicken Hummus Plate and a Raspberry Lemonade. The good-sized chicken plate could easily be split and consisted of shawarma-spiced chicken, amba aioli, hummus, Moroccan carrots, pickled cabbage, sumac red onion, arugula, spicy green s'chug, shipka pepper, and pita bread. Every single item was beautifully prepared and super tasty. Even the pita was freshly baked and fantastic. The raspberry lemonade was packed with freshly muddled raspberries and very refreshing. Another winner meal from Local Kitchens.

Ludy C.

Yelp
My husband and I were invited to a Family and Friends event today. It was a great experience. We were very warmly greeted by Andrew at the front door. He gave us the menus and let us know we can select any items from the different cuisines from 5 Chefs, burgers, fried chicken, Mexican,Vietnamese, Mediterranean types of food. I had a steak taco, handmade guacamole and chips and Iranian cucumber and mint drink. My husband had two chicken tacos, chicken salad and a raspberry drink. All were fresh, cooked well and so very delicious. Place is very clean. The staff were all friendly and service was excellent. Recommend dining here. Everyone in a group or family has their choice of what to eat. We will definitely be back.

John P.

Yelp
Well, I see the potential in the place but it's not executed well staff doesn't seem to know in the front or I will say the register about ingredients and what it is not educated on the menu and what they have my wife got the Mediterranean chicken plate and it was not Mediterranean. It was a curry chicken. I got tacos. They're OK tortillas we're fresh. I found out that was locally sourced. I asked for slices of avocado they weren't able to provide I said, but you make guacamole yes but I don't think we have sliced avocado My son got the Fried, which is a fried chicken sandwich. Nothing special and store-bought french fries to go with it. This is why I give it a two star review it's OK

Yelp
Briann and staffed welcomed me with smiles, helpfulness, and brilliant service. Great food too!!!

MJ M.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to try a burrito on Rick Martinez's menu at Local Kitchens. I have lived in LA for several years, and consume more burritos than the average individual. This is easily in my top 3 most delicious burritos I've ever had...possibly the best I've ever tried. The flavor of the vegetables is unlike anything I've had before. The salsas are well balanced and completely delicious. The tortilla itself is delicious as well. Needless to say, this is my favorite spot at the moment. If you are around while this menu is in town, it is worth a visit. I am truly blown away!

Prat L.

Yelp
Great food ! And a fun pot in studio city ! The jalapeño ranch salad and the black garlic cauliflower were amazing

Marti N.

Yelp
I've been watching this place get ready to open with interest for months. It's such a cool concept. Today my friend and I ordered lunch and it was hard to decide what to get because everything looked so good. We opted for the chicken tenders and the fried chicken salad with the goddess dressing. Both dishes were fantastic. Fresh and super tasty. We plan on working our way through all 5 menus. Glad to have them in the neighborhood!

Good food and even better service!! We've gone multiple times for dinner and Mia has been so friendly and always suggests items off the menu for us to try! A great spot for late night food.

Yelp
We loved it the first time we went. I had the Vietnamese food, my son had a burger with garlic fries. We couldn't wait to go back. The second time we each had the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken piece was about half the size of the bun, too thick snd overcooked. Very disappointing. The staff are extremely friendly and great service. We will probably go back, just not get the chicken sandwich.

Yelp
Big win. Huge. A fantastic addition to the 818 and fills a void. If you've got a family that can never decide on what to have for dinner and never seems to all have the same food craving, THIS is the answer. There's something for everyone. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is warm, patient informative. The decor feels clean and fresh and energetic. Also, BIG TIP, if you order directly from their app, there's no DoorDash or Uber eats price inflation AND they have free delivery for orders over $35. Who else is sick and tired of Uber and DoorDash inflating the food prices as well as charging a service fee?

Yelp
Solid burger. Need to come back to try the other cuisines! Great addition to the area of you're looking for a casual lunch.

Yelp
Wow!! Loved every bite! I've had a lot of Vietnamese pork with broken rice plates, usually out in San Gabriel at places where it's all Vietnamese people, but the version here is hands down the best I've ever had. Deep, rich flavors and melt in your mouth, carmelized pork, flavorful rice, and tasty pickled veggies . The jackfruit salad was an excellent side dish, lots of herbs and a perfect dressing. Cute place too, lots of seating options. Staff was so friendly and helpful, cant wait to go back. I want to try more things but I dont know how I wont want to get that Vietnamese pork again! Lots of options though.

Yelp
We will definitely be returning as we LOVE having 5 culinary flavors in a one-stop location. Next time, we will order to eat onsite, but for our first time, we got the SOB Burger with fries, Chicken Tenders, Vietnamese egg quiche w/ scallion oil and Vietnamese caramel coffee. Our two FAV were the Coffee and Burger/fries. Frankly, the burger and fries are way better than Heavy Handed (closest Burger joint for comparison), and certainly more reasonably priced. As we were delayed in picking up our order all the food had a chance to cool off... to room temp. It didn't change the flavor or texture of the Burger, Fries and Chicken strips. Chicken definitely held onto its crunch, but we'd like to have it on the hotter (temp, not spice) side. We'll order the Chicken sandwich next time as well. I don't feel the egg quiche traveled well, but will give it another try as well. This is a welcomed concept to the area.

Yelp
Went here on a Sunday evening. I had chicken tacos, delicious sauce and great tortillas! Spouse had the fried chicken sandwich, it was a generous potion and also delicious. It's fast casual, but it's nice inside, it doesn't feel like a chain restaurant. Service was super friendly, helpful and fast.

Yelp
Wow, what a find! I can't remember the last time I was so happily surprised by a new restaurant in the neighborhood. Took a chance on it after a 4th of July freedom march down the street. Apparently it was their third day in operation but they have their act together already. It's hard to describe the choices because there are various specialties you wouldn't normally see together - mid eastern, Sonora, American burgers, bowls - but everything looked great. My wife had the green falafel pita and I had the chicken pita. Both were delicious. Not quite the same old thing, flavors and quality were fantastic. Everybody went of their way to be friendly and the place was welcoming, cute and super clean. Outdoor and indoor seating. Can't wait to go back and try the other cuisines. I swear I have no connection to this restaurant, it's just so nice to be able to give an unqualified rave. Five stars.
