Local Kitchen Roseville I’ve tried a few local kitchens since I think they have a great concept. Taking favorite dishes from each specialty restaurant and making it available under one roof. Today I was excited to try the new Tam Rice bowls. Ordered the pork belly rice, Nash fried chicken, garlic fries and Boba guys drinks. The rice dish presentation looks authentic and creative. The Com Tam with the braised pork belly was super thin like thin bacon, you get two strips cut in half, I ran out of meat before I can finish the rest of the dish. The cha or egg pork cakes were also tiny, it was very stiff and lacked seasoning. I didn’t finish the rest of the bowl as it begs for more protein. The fried chicken was dry and needed sauce, it was also much greasier than I preferred, and completely bland. The garlic fries appeared perfect however it was heavily seasoned with salt. It was hard to enjoy. The Hong Kong MT, Thai Ice Tea were all on the low sweet side although I did not adjust the sweetness levels with my order. The boba was soft but wasn’t sweet. The service was quick today, the food was ready as communicated. The location appeared tidy and clean. Lots of parking and great location. Follow on Yelp and IG::: @Only1ChristineLu

The food was fresh , delicious and soooo flavorful 😋 sooo good and wish you had more places all around town ! Can’t wait for the new menu next month :-) thanks for the delicious variety under one umbrella

I’ve ordered from Nash & Proper before, but this was by far the worst experience. Ordered fries and chicken on Jan 7 at 10:38 PM, and both were completely unacceptable. The fries were undercooked and cold, while the chicken was not cooked at all—an obvious food safety risk. I could have easily gotten food poisoning from this. This was a huge letdown compared to past orders. Definitely not the quality I expect, and I won’t be ordering again if this is the new standard.

Amazing food, very tasty and well presented. Staff is friendly and a nice environment

Google
Love this place! The selection of cuisines is excellent, there is something for everyone. You order from a screen, then staff bring your food. There's a handy status screen that shows when your order will be ready. Service was quick and friendly. Everything I ordered was fresh and delicious, and my jasmine boba tea was lovely.

I'm a visiting student and man this food hit home. So many options here and each feels like this and with genuine care. I ordered the falafel, my friends ordered the Nashville chicken and burritos. None of us had complaints. While eating it was one of those night where nobody spoke because of how good it was. Serving sizes are excellent and quality exceeded all expectations. Absolutely recommend anyone looking for a solid meal that tastes like home.

Love getting a "Sammich" by Nash and Proper in a sit down setting. The sweet onion burger (SOB) was top shelf!! Foodtruck pricing in a retail spot.

09/14/24 It's been awhile since the last update, although I am a bit sad Sushirrito is no longer one of the local restaurants, I felt like a sandwich and tried out the Flavor Trippin' Griddled Mortadella (thinly sliced mortadella, Tay's hot mustard, salt & vinegar chips, shredded lettuce, mayo, and American cheese on toasted pullman bread) and added some spicy Russian dressing on the side. Liked the crunch and the heat from the Russian dressing works nicely with the rest this sandwich is throwing down. Also tried The Melt's BBQ Bacon Meltburger (over 1/3 lb of Angus and Wagyu beef, chopped, grilled and filled with melted cheddar, smoked bacon, crispy onions, and Memphis-style BBQ sauce on a toasted artisan bun) which was ok, but a bit too sweet from the bbq sauce. Update: Tried the "Proper Fries". Make sure to grab a large drink and prepare for a massive as-"salt" on your taste buds! Liked the crunch on the chicken. Also tried the "chicken shawafel" from SAJJ. Very good! Definitely consider this or the "Sumo Crunch". First time in - nice restaurant, easy to order menus from touchscreens, and the food was tasty! Lot's of options, nice portion size. The Sushirrito "Sumo Crunch" is awesome – so good! Curry Up Now's "Chicken Tikka Masala Burrito" was good and filling but not as addicting as the "Sumo Crunch". Next time in I'm either getting the Sumo Crunch again or snagging some of those "Proper Fries".

Yelp
I really enjoy the late night hour and the variety of options available in one place. So far, we've tried the falafel, Nashville Proper, and Boba Guys. The food was delicious, but the boba could be improved. We had the strawberry matcha milk tea, and it was very lacking the matcha flavor. PS, please improve on your boba straws because it keeps breaking

Yelp
Download the App!! I absolutely love this concept! We've been loyal patrons for a few years now. Ordering through app is efficient. Delivery never fails. I love seeing the out with the old in with the new eats. Tonight we had a burger and fries from sweet onion. Delish! A chicken bowl from nopalitos. Excellent! Square pie guys never disappoints. On to Boba Guys! Strawberry Matcha Boba was so earthy and fruity goodness. I had the strawberry fields with almond milk. What a treat! Keep doing what you're doing local kitchens! See you soon!

Yelp
I really enjoy how this place has a wide variety of food options! It's great when you can't agree on what to eat. My niece got the birria tacos and enjoyed them 4/5. I always love to the proper fries & really like the combination 5/5 I would recommend a bit of extra sauce if you're a sauce person. The chicken sandwich is about $14 but trust me it will fill you up! The bowls are also a great choice for something lighter! I created an account with them and it's fairly easy to get a deal or coupon code! You do order via a kiosk so not much interaction but they are kind when you need something. I like how they redid the interior a bit so though you have little employee interaction it is still an inviting cozy space for a quick bite.

Yelp
This was our first time at Local Kitchen. Not sure why it's taken us so long to check it out but it didn't disappoint. There's something for everyone! We walked in and were immediately greeted. It's an open space with a few regular tables and some high tables. Lots of light! We ordered on the kiosk/tablet at the front of the store. Ordering was super easy! We started off with 2 drinks from Boba Guys. A Strawberry Matcha Latte and the new summer drink, Pineapple Cloud. Both came with boba. My daughter just wanted Nopalito's Chips & Salsa. And I ordered The Melt's Mac Daddy and French Fries. We found a table inside and waited for our food. We were shortly alerted via text that our food was ready. And then they brought it to our table. Everything was absolutely delish! We already can't wait to go back!!!!

Laura T.

Yelp
Food came out pretty fast but the place was empty. I got the salmon sushi burrito and it had a pretty nice variety of toppings. Got a nice bite of everything while eating. The salmon wasn't dry or over cooked which was very nice. Food was overall great but sad they were out of stock for the shrimp tempura burrito. Inside was nice and clean. Multiple tables and chairs to eat your foods dine in.

Autumn L.

Yelp
Wanted to try a little bit of everything from pizza, tender fries, and boba! Loved the variety and it was very fulfilling. The pizza was the absolute best in my opinion! And I've always loved boba guys however I did wish my fav drink was on the menu do keep in mind each menu is slightly limited from the original! Nonetheless each menu still had the best items and was great overall! Food was also pretty quick. The location is a bit small so space can be limited when busy!

Raimond S.

Yelp
It's nice concept of have several kinds of foods available. They had Mexican, Italian, Middle East and more. Seemed like good brands. They had vegan options available like falafels. They food seemed like warm up. They didn't have actually several kitchens like San Pedro square in San Jose. It's just one that can prep several kinds of foods. The service was nice and the place had plenty of space as there wasn't that many people there. I think is good place for lunch.

Yelp
The managers and customer service here are excellent. The two times I have been unhappy with a particular food item, I have received a $10 Local Kitchens credit. I feel like it's a guarantee that you will enjoy your meal. If not the present meal, then a future meal! After a late night of playing pickleball, I decided to try a sushi burrito from any restaurant for the first time ever using the $10 store credit I had received from dissatisfaction with a prior Nash + Proper Fried Chicken Sammich. Unfortunately, when placing the order on the app, I didn't notice that the location was set to Granite Bay, the last location I had visited. The manager was kind, patient, and helpful to call the Granite Bay store to cancel my order and put the $10 credit back to my account. She then fulfilled my order at this Roseville location without charging me! I was surprised and delighted. I thanked her heartily, telling her it was my birthday that day, so it was an especially special treat to get a free meal. What did she do then? She gave me free vanilla sprinkle Birthday Truffles from the Milk Bar!!! Thank you so very much. I really enjoyed the SUMO CRUNCH SUSHI BURRITO. It seemed to have good Yelp reviews, and given I am not often in the mood for poke or raw sushi, cooked sounded good and safe to me. In the past, I enjoyed the LATIN NINJA bowl, and an employee also recommended that flavor as her favorite sushi burrito. All the Sushirrito sauces sound yummy to me. The Sriracha Aioli is the customer favorite, but I really love the Wasabi Aioli. I believe the Japanese 7-Spice Aioli may be the 2nd most popular sauce. I haven't tried the Peruvian Herb Sauce yet. You also can't go wrong with the CRISPY SHRIMP TEMPURA. It used to be an amazing value at 6 for $9, but with inflation or price adjustment, you now get 4 for $9. Hmm, it appears that Sushirrito bowls are gone from the menu. Hand rolls are now offered. You can order bowls from the newer restaurants, SAJJ Mediterranean and Nopalito Taqueria. No more Senor Sisig or Curry Up Now. I have also eaten here with Burger King Bobby of Facebook local foodie group fame. During that visit, we enjoyed the MELT BURGER from The Melt and the CILANTRO MINT CHUTNEY from SAJJ Mediterranean. I also thought SAJJ's Garlic Spread was pretty good. The fried chicken in the Nash & Proper Sammich was overfried, burnt, and dry, so that's why I received the $10 credit after sending a review. So disappointing. The Sammich was scrumptious at the now closed Folsom Nash & Proper restaurant, probably my overall favorite Nashville hot chicken sandwich. In addition, an employee from the Granite Bay location told me that the Sammich was his favorite Local Kitchens meal. The Protein Plate was unimpressive with its small pieces of chicken, plain salad, and subpar pita bread, which seemed dry and wasn't fluffy or warmed. To summarize, here are my food recommendations: THE MELT 1. Patty Melt (Pro Tip: Add Lettuce and Tomato for no extra charge) 2. MeltBurger 3. Garlic Parmesan Fries 4. Tomato Soup (I have ordered this item the most!) SUSHIRRITO 1. Sumo Crunch sushi burrito (Try the Sriracha Aioli or Wasabi Aioli) 2. Latin Ninja sushi burrito 3. Crispy Shrimp Tempura (It comes with Sriracha Aioli) Many thanks again to Local Kitchens for providing stellar customer service. I keep daydreaming about the Sushi Burrito, so I will be back for that, along with my favorite Tomato Soup. P.S. As soon as I posted this review update, management already responded to me about the Protein Plate!!! So very nice.

Yelp
Excited for their boba guys addiction! I tried to order ahead but hate to say that they have an unremovable or adjustable tip added toward the end! Wish we can have more freedom to what we want to tip than just being force to. Basically, we drove and ordered in store. If it calls convenient fee, it will be a better word suit than tip. Drinks were good. And the food is the same as always.

Sammie M.

Yelp
This is a really cool concept for groups or if you can't decide what to eat. It is self service, so you order on a kiosk, but the interaction I had with the staff was very nice. I asked for extra fuego sauce for my chicken sandwich and the employee happily gave me a small side of it. They also display how long your order is going to take and what position you are in line. The chicken sandwich was delish and crispy and the portion was huge! I used to work at Boba Guys in San Francisco and the drink was spot on. I will definitely be coming back and am going to check out other locations since they have slightly different options.

Julianne S.

Yelp
Whenever I visit the bay, I typically get boba guys and crave it when I'm back home so when I heard the local kitchens was serving it, I had to see if it actually tasted the same. I think the milk tea tasted quite similar but maybe not quite the same. The boba itself was a good texture but had a weird sour after taste. I would probably come back here again to order milk tea but without any boba balls. The inside of the store had a decent amount of seating, was fairly clean, and they have kiosks you can order from.

J W.

Yelp
I really like the Proper Fries here but they decided to recently practically DOUBLE THE PRICE of it from $13 to $20!! I guess I won't come here as often anymore.

Ana F.

Yelp
Love the concept. Love the food. Love the warmth of the dude working there today. Can't wait to try other items. Today it was the Grilled Chicken Bowl for $12.74. Complimentary SPICY Habanero Salsa, Add Monterey Jack Cheese. I'm all in on this.

Greg S.

Yelp
This is a great concept that harkens to the 'ghost kitchens' only here you actually have a place to dine. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating options. Order from the app before you arrive, or from the touchpad stations inside. There are several restaurants working out of this location. I chose to have a chicken sandwich from Nash and Proper, a restaurant out of Nashville. The chicken was spicy, and super crispy. I liked it! Service was friendly and I did get to talk with the manager (sitting right next to me doing some business work). she says there will be more restaurants coming soon... It's possible they will have a rotating set of vendors. The current offerings are all notable so I am excited to get back in to try them.

Prerana D.

Yelp
i like the concept to have a lot of local favorites in one place! having boba guys here made me so happy and the strawberry matcha hit. i loved when they had curry up now but it's no longer served here. overall great concept but wait times can be a bit long and it's more so a take out idea as the seating and indoor area is very simple and bare bones.

Michael Y.

Yelp
Always enjoy coming here for Nash and Proper fries. We also starting to enjoy boba guys as well. You can order and pay from their tablets. There is a little bit of wait, but they have a tv displaying the order status.

Diana K.

Yelp
Their pictures are misleading, they have a few things from each place, where as the pictures on the walls and etc, show things that don't exist at this specific restaurant! Sushi burrito was so disappointing too! The best food here for my husband and I was the mac n cheese! Was hoping for better, but highly doubt we'll be back!

Trini L.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday and it wasn't super packed. When you first enter, there's an option to order on three iPads. After taking a look at the different food choices, we were so surprised! They had sushiritto, nash and proper (mostly why we came), curry up now, and so many more! We ended up ordering from those three places and immediately sat down. You could see your order being made on the screen with an approximate time of how long your order will take to make. I really like the concept but would say we weren't impressed with all the food we ordered. Sushiritto was something I tried at another location and I remember it being amazing! This time around, it felt like everything was frozen. We didn't like how it was super cold. The curry up now samosas we're the star! Although, I'm pretty sure it was also frozen, it tasted the best in my opinion. You could also order on the website and pick it up when it's ready! I saw a few people do that so if I come here again, I'll do that in advance since it did take about 20ish mins to have everything ready.

Janae F.

Yelp
LOVE that I can try restaurants that aren't usually in my area here! I've been dying to try boba guys and square pie guys but never wanted to make the long drive to the Bay Area! Everything tasted super fresh and delicious and I can't wait to go back and try more! Also loved how easy ordering is!

Dave J.

Yelp
Service was excellent. The food, not so good. Had the hot chicken...couldn't even finish 1/4 of it...should be called Too Hpt Chicken. Nice people, but won't be going back.

Ashley K.

Yelp
We haven't been back in months. The quality started to go down with each order and we have moved on to trying different places.

Steve D.

Yelp
Local Kitchens brings it's unique Micro Food Hall concept to Roseville, CA. I was in the area, and came by for a quick peek at the new location. I have been to and have reviewed all the Local Kitchens in the SF Bay Area. I came to the Roseville restaurant to grab a burger & fries from The Melt, and to achieve bragging rights.....I have been to all six locations! Okay, Local Kitchens @ Roseville is a nice restaurant. It's located in a shopping mall, so there's lots of free parking. It has a dining area and an outdoor patio. There's lots of room in the ordering and pickup area, if you're concerned about social distancing. In-store ordering is done thru kiosks, that are small tablets. I always use the Local Kitchens App on my smartphone, and pickup my orders. You save $$$ and earn Rewards/ Promos. Menu choices offer the most popular items from each. Food is prepared on-site, so it's fresh when you get it. How do I know? Because I took a tour of Local Kitchens @ Palo Alto, there are kitchen work stations back there. I ordered the BBQ Bacon MeltBurger and Garlic Fries from "The Melt." Really good bacon cheeseburger and spicy garlic fries. I got it fresh as takeout. The Local Kitchens App told me my order was ready, so I just go in, tell the young lady my name, and she hands me my order. Simple, friendly, and quick. Limited staff contact if you're worried about social distancing. Yes, there's real people running the front counter. This is NOT a ghost kitchen. Overall, a good 1st time experience in Roseviile. These are not cookie cutter restaurants, they're all different. Nice setup with an outdoor patio. See You on Yelp! .... SYOY

Yelp
Putting a four only because when they first opened, they used to have Señor Sisig; best Filipino Mexican fusion food I've ever had! But then it left :( I wanted to see if there are plans to have it/older food vendors return?? If there are imminent plans of these vendors cycling through seasonally or something I would come to Local Kitchens more often honestly.

Terrence M.

Yelp
Ordered spicy chicken sandwich and the chicken bowl. The sandwich was horrible - burnt and over breaded. Barely any meat! The chicken bowl tasted awful. You're better off spending your money at McDonald. Save yourself the disappointment. You're welcome.

Kevin W.

Yelp
Will have to edit later due to not rating the food yet. Just walked in and ordered the food on the mounted iPads but WHAT WAS MISSING?? Hand sanitizer!! next to the big empty wall. Would it be too much to ask for hand sanitizer after hundreds of people touching the iPads over and over again. Gross!!. If you only knew how nasty peoples hands are. Plus ...they're spreading flu, RSV, and Covid. Please ... if you want to see this customer return, place hand sanitizers on the big yellow wall. Thanks... Sincerely, your ER Nurse. Update: had to drop a star. The food was nothing to write home about. Plain. Bland. My kids did enjoy the fries. Had the melt burgers but was nothing special. Tomato soup was too thick and cold. Mac & cheese was OK. Will not go again.

Arnel E.

Yelp
Got Nash and Proper's Jumbo Tenders and the Melt's MeltBurger w/ avocado via the Local Kitchens website. Got a text confirming my order and the food was waiting in the pick-up section. Place looks clean and organized with limited indoor and outdoor seating. Tenders and burger were flavorful. The price however is the factor that limits this micro foodcourt from getting a 5 star rating. Looking forward to trying the other choices in the menu.

Yelp
New Micro Food Hall in Roseville Order from FIVE restaurant menus simultaneously! Hot Chicken - Nash & Proper Filipino - Señor Sisig Burgers - The Melt Indian - Curry Up Now Healthy - Garden of Eat'n Added Bonus: Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream Señor Sisig - from food trucks to its first brick-and-mortar location in San Francisco's Mission district, a Bay Area favorite, unfortunately, I wasn't too thrilled about their Tosilog from my first time dining experience. They skimped on the tocino... but I hope to have a better experience next time. The Melt - San Francisco is the birthplace of The Melt. Yummy, delicious Melt Burger! Melted cheesy goodness with lots of flavor. My children also enjoyed the Three Cheese Classic and the Patty Melt! Nash & Proper - Nashville style hot chicken! I ordered the Jumbo Wings. Served on sliced white bread but I also ordered it with fries! And the verdict? Perfect and delicious!! I'm keeping this in my lunch rotation. It has been a long trek since their humble beginnings in Sacramento... now serving up the best fried chicken in town! There are kiosks set up for easy order experience but just download the app and order ahead while earning rewards. Keep track of your order on the app or the order board. Service and wait time has gotten better and better each time I visited Local Kitchens. Indoor and outdoor patio dining available. I had a chance to meet the GM, Derrick, and also Marcus! Thanks for coming to Roseville, guys, and thank you for my complimentary pint of Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream! I can't make it to the Ferry Building in San Francisco all the time so thanks for the sweet gesture! Review #2547

Yelp
When I heard Senor Sisig was a part of this new Local Kitchens concept, I was sold! If you have been to "food halls" in some of the bigger cities like New York or LA, this is the same idea on a very smaller simpler scale. It's essentially a food court with popular local vendors menus all in one spot. However usually at food halls each place has their own stall, but here at Local Kitchens it's all in one spot and you can pick from the different vendors in one order. They had a bunch of great options from Senor Sisig, Nash and Proper, The Melt, Curry Up Now and more. Senor Sisig is from San Francisco so we can't get it easily. It's a much smaller menu option here but they have their popular items available, and I picked the California Sisig burrito. Everything is packaged nicely into recyclable containers, but it is all pretty generic because again they're featuring multiple different businesses here, but it almost felt cafeteria like. The food was good and I enjoyed the ube horchata I ordered with my meal! It doesn't beat visiting the actual location and having all those menu options but it will do if you can't drive all the way there! Ordering is super easy, you can order ahead online or just order yourself at the self service ordering screens at the front. Then, your name shows up at the screen at the top of the wall and you can see where you are at in line with real time estimated minutes until your food is ready. I really appreciated that feature and wish more places did that. The interior is pretty small but they do have even more seating outside. They have utensils and water available if you want to dine in, and high chairs for kids. I felt like it could've been decorated a little more lively inside, maybe featuring/advertising all the vendors a little better. It felt a bit cold and dark, going back to that "cafeteria" feeling. Great concept, I hope they will consider adding more vendors or opening bigger locations across town (one in Elk Grove would be great!).

Yelp
Food is decent, value is not so great. Cheat day was in effect and the convenience of having 3 different types of places to eat at...all of which were places we wanted to try made it easy to choose this place. But overall.....meh From Nash and Proper we got the Sammich (HOT) and Proper Fries From Curry Up Now got the Tikka Masala Burrito From Senor Sisig got the Tosilog Burrito Nash and Proper: One of my biggest gripes is when a place calls themselves Nashville Hot, but really it's just a chicken sandwich place. I got the Hot level sandwich and well...wasn't really hot. Even the wife who is sensitive to heat said it was spicy, but nothing she couldn't handle. So if you want a spicy chicken sandwich for $12, then ok....you could also go anywhere else and spend half of that but cool. The piece of chicken it was massive, so +1 there Proper Fries: Awful. Unseasoned with massive pieces of chicken. Not enough sauce ....just lacking in all directions. Needed sauce to provide flavor. We ended up just eating the chicken off of it and tossing the rest. 1.5 star for Nash Curry Up Now Tikka Masala Burrito Flavor was there, overall size was there, but not enough Chicken and again, value.... for $11 it just wasn't substantial enough for a fat bastard like me. It was mostly rice, and I could also drive down the street and get something more filling for less....or to an actual Indian take out and spend the same to get more. The flavor was great and you could get filled up on the burrito alone if you get satisfied on mostly rice. This was my wife's favorite option 3 stars for Curry Up Senor Sisig This was my favorite option, but again, the value is terrible. For more than the Curry Up Burrito, you get a burrito half the size....maybe less than half. Take a look at the picture. It tasted great, but I would need at least 2 of those to make me happy.....and if that's going to cost me $24....yeah...better options elsewhere. Same as with curry up, the food food here was my favorite...just too expensive. We ordered to go on pickup and food was ready about 15 minutes before the pick up time....kind of a gripe considering I set the time for a reason, not to pick up the food cold. The food was still hot though, so it ended up not being an issue even though it didn't get eaten until about 45 minutes after the prepared time. All in all, it was decent and I would go back....if everything was at least $5 cheaper per item.

Yelp
Thank God we have this place in Roseville!! Bay area has 5 locations and we are lucky to be the 6th location!! Many foods to choose from.. but I came for the SENIOR SISIG!!! They ran out of the Ube Horchata, as well as the dairy free ice cream. I spoke to the general manager, Derrick, who came from SF business store and he explained the ube horchata drink is backed up on the orders due to Senior Sisig's end... but they hope it comes in soon. As far as the dairy free ice cream, it should be back by next week. He did give us a complimentary ice cream to try out that is local from SF, Humphrey Slocome. I chose Vietnamese coffee & corn flakes. I posted the pics to show what they look like. When entering the restaurant, U have tablets to order from... U can also order online to speed up the order. When you order online, even on YELP, you get a 50% off your order, which is sweet!! Their food was amazing. I always wanted senior sisig close to home, now I have it and I am thankful. Its not always easy going to the SF bay at AT&T Park to the Sisig truck for food when I live 2 hours away now. I love the many options of food available to order, The Melt... Garden of Eat'n... PLUS THEY CLOSE AT 2 AM!!!! Yuuup, a place that finally opens late to satisfy cravings that doesn't have to do with drive thru's!!! I am spoiled now!! But this makes my tummy and heart both smile.. especially since it's close to Planet Fitness, I can stop by for a late post workout meal!! SoO much food to choose from and no one to judge what you want to order, all in one spot!! THE LOCAL KITCHENS!!!

Milad P.

Yelp
Delicious! Make sure to try the Sammich! It's one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had! You also get to choose 8 different spice level depending of how much you can handle! It's clean and the service is very good.

Mara D.

Yelp
Great place! Arrived and was greeted promptly and instructed on how to use the iPads to order. They have a screen that displays how many people are ahead of you and the time remaining until your order is complete. I ordered the Nash and Proper fries and they were delicious. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Malasa for my bf. He said it was uniquely different. It had different ingredients than what you would get. They have seating inside and a patio also. Overall I highly recommend and will be back to try the different restaurants.

Yelp
Being from New Jersey we do not have spots like Local Kitchens. Local Kitchens offers a grouping of local restaurants in one convenient location. You can order multiple items from different restaurants in a single transaction. For example, my husband ordered a sisig from Senor Sisig and I ordered a chicken Cobb salad from Garden of Eat'n. My husband has had Senor Sisig before and knew he would love it. I had zero expectations of Garden of Eat'n but honestly it was one of the best salads I've ever had. It was a very generous portion and the ingredients were super fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed the chicken very much as it was well marinated and cooked perfectly (not dry at all!). I really loved every bite and didn't finish it because I was full! Pro tip: first time orders receive a 20% discount on their website. I don't know how long the promo will last but I am glad I got the 20% by happening upon the website rather than walking in to order! Food was prepared quickly because we ordered in the car and then waited maybe 5 minute inside. The digital screen updates you on the status of your order. Overall, a great experience!

Yelp
Pain in the rear to order food. Can't speak to a live person to order and must order online. But the webpage doesn't work well when ordering online via a mobile device.

Yelp
Senior Sisig without the long drive to San Francisco...YES!!!!! I ordered my fave: The Tosilog Burrito: Adobo garlic rice, sweet pork, and an egg. So so good. So glad this spot is here.

Yelp
I love the concept and how diverse it is. My group of friends and wanted to try it out because it seemed like it would fit everyone's preference. We got there and the self kiosks were easy to use. Every item had photos so that was a great bonus. The prices ranged from $10-$20. I ordered the shawarma bowl, a sushiritto, and garlic fries. My total was $40. Now I would say the food is ok in the most subpar way. The sushi burrito lacked flavor and at best is comparable to Costco Sushi. The shawarma bowl was tiny and not worth nearly $20. The garlic fries were the best part of the meal. All in all this is a nice place to TRY. But dang it, if you're already in Roseville, there are many other places with better food for better prices.

Yelp
Local Kitchens is the worst! There is 0 consistency and most of vendors would be appalled that their food was represented as such. I told myself never again but it was Easter and everything was closed so I thought how can they mess up a pizza? Man, was I wrong. What I received for $26 is an embarrassment and didn't even have the toppings in the picture. If this is how Square Guys wants to represent themselves, God help them.

Yelp
What a fun idea with tried and tested recipes. We each get what we want but it's better than a food court because we can order in advance from a single app. I wish more people appreciated the concept - not because I want slower service but because they closed the location closest to me.

Yelp
Fun stop for a group who want a wide variety of options. It's like a food court inside one restaurant. Grandkids got the most YUMMY grilled cheese sandwich and macaroni & cheese ever (The Melt). Adults had sushi rolls, babaganush and pita, cheese burger. Only issue I had was they didn't have any ice for my drink. No liquor license either. Beer/wine would be a nice addition.

Yelp
Local Kitchens is such a cool concept! My bf had to explain to me about how these restaurants operate..."cloud kitchen" is what I got from that convo haha. Essentially multiple restaurant offerings are under one roof. Restaurants included Señor Sisig, Curry Up Now, The Melt, Humphrey Slocombe, Nash & Proper. I've seen friends come here before, so I had it bookmarked, as well!l Anyway we came specifically for Señor Sisig. Upon entering, you can either place your order via the 3 tablets they have or scan a QR code on your phone (choose the correct one based on your phone being android or apple). If you place your order online, you don't have to step inside until your order is ready or you can order from your table. You also can get 50% off your order (up to a $10 discount) if you order online rather than through the tablet. Yelp also has an option for you to order through there too for a 50% off discount (not sure if the dollar amount maximum is different). One of the employees was really nice and welcoming, and he explained how the ordering system worked. Seemed like maybe some other customers might have been confused about the system and walked out, ahead of us. Restaurant was pretty empty inside but it looked like there were more diners outside and there were orders being prepared according to the board. The board also shows the estimated wait time for your food, which is super convenient. It was about a 10 minute wait for our food. Anyway we ordered a spicy Señor Sisig burrito with 1 egg and tocino. The burrito was a decent size, enough for one person. It wasn't cut in half as a heads up, if you're planning to share. The burrito itself was just warm, but I'm not sure if the cold ingredients inside cooled it down some. We had picked up our order as soon as it was ready though. The burrito wasn't really spicy, but that's fine...flavors were good. The burrito had a generous serving of guacamole, sour cream, fries, tocino, and a salsa of some sort? Kind of wished we got 2 eggs since it tasted good with the burrito. The egg was nice and slightly runny...kind of like a poached egg. The fries gave a nice crisp and chew to the burrito. If you've never had tocino before (like me), it kind of tastes like Chinese sausage and it was like Chinese bbq pork in texture. Overall, I'd order this again! If I'm in the area, I'd definitely come back to try other items!

Yelp
I don't leave many reviews unless im really impressed by the service and the food. My wife and I came to local kitchens around 630 last night. The restaurant was busy and it took a few minutes for us to be able to order. A employee named Gus explained to me how everything works and recommended Nash and proper. He warned me about the heat levels and how hot they get. I chose the tenders and they were terrific. My wife had the chicken bowl and she loved it. We will definitely be back.. I wish I would of known about this place sooner

Yelp
What a novel concept! I love the idea of being able to order from several different menus in a single location. Local Kitchens kind of rocks a mega mall food court meets high school cafeteria vibe.... This visit (our first) my wife and I both ordered off the Filipino menu. My wife had the pork sisig with steamed rice plate and I ordered the California sisig burrito along with ube horchata to wash down our meals. The food was actually pretty tasty! Ordering was a bit confusing, at least it was on the first visit. There are several tablets set up at the entrance where patrons can peruse the menus and order their food. Alternatively, the Local Kitchens App can be downloaded on your iPhone and you can order there. The beverage menu and offerings are quite limited! Canned sodas, bottled water, lassi, or ube horchata are about it. You can't get ice water, coffee, or fountain drinks.... That said, the establishment was clean and offered a few inside tables and a few outside tables. The place seemed to be hoppin'! There are monitors that track peoples' orders and show a window of time to completion and ultimately inform the patron their order is ready. Lots of "to go" and delivery orders rolling through when we were there. I plan to return in the near future to try both a burger and Indian food. Prices are pretty moderate which explains the limited beverage and condiment selections. Needless to say, I like this spot and think you probably will, too!

Yelp
My first time there, I was confused about what to get, so I got the Mac Daddy sandwich from the melt, and it was amazing. It was quik and clean.

Yelp
Yay!!!!!! Nothing new, but love that they brought the hawker/food halls concept from Asia to this side of region so thanks for adding more diverse food in the area to understand what we always crave from Asia, the Bay and socal. This is way better for us in terms of bringing the food from the bay so thank you for bringing it here Patrick and team!!!! Will definitely just bring the fambam than bring the food to them (from the bay) LOL. Also already TOLD more folks from the bay and socal there's more options for food here now lol. What NOT to Expect: NOT a FAST FOOD, therefore be patient We're now in 2022, therefore no more paper What TO expect: Left entrance: Self-order Team members: found in the front, middle, all over. In the event you don't know what to do/order, JUST ask. Better to ask questions than hate. Again we are now in 2022, 2023 is coming lol Alternative: place your order online for pickup DO note: selections are not entirely what we have in the bay, perhaps limited selections at the moment since they just opened, but they have majority of our favorites especially Señor Sisig, Curry Up Now and The Melt. They brought Humphry Slocombe, Nash and Proper and Garden of Eat'n as well! Watch our for more choices to come. Our fat rears recommends lol w/ the current choices: Vada pav Kulcha naan Secret breakfast ice cream Matchadoodle ice cream Ube horchata Sisig-All ways lol, when getting the plate make sure to add your egg(s). Do commend them for cooking the rice PROPERLY, way to go Señor Sisig founders! Filipinos do not use jasmine rice, Filipinos can correct me. Sisig is meant to be fatty and filling, but for those healthy conscious ask for the vegan version. Garlic parmesan fries Tikka masala bowl Ghee makhni Cauliflower sammich Enjoy

Yelp
Me and my friend came in to this restaurant and ordered 2 boba drinks, They were great drinks I would totally have returned except for 2 girls there were loudly making fun of my friends name! Her name is Yuuki we placed the order at 7:20 and when we came in we were welcomed by like 3 people we placed our order and while we were waiting two young girls came from the back laughing asking what kind of F**** name is this and going on about it so unprofessional! Then when we ask who the girls were we are told they were Supervisors thats so disappointing!

Yelp
Local Kitchens is what they call a micro food hall. So what they do is bring a bunch of really great local restaurants together under one roof and make it really easy to order takeout or delivery. They only work with local restaurants and sort of emerging brands, especially ones that are founded by local chefs, and that's part of our mission is to help bring more local food to the world and make that as convenient as a big chain, but with sort of the great cuisine that you can find at these local restaurants. The current eateries are Nash and Proper, Garden of Eat'n, The Melt, Señor Sisig, and Curry Up Now. You may place your order inside on their tablets or simply go online to do it in advance. It's a nice concept and very unique especially for customers who are craving different foods and want them all together.

Yelp
Food was delicious & lots of variety for all! Their boneless chicken pieces are delicious & come in a variety of degrees of mild ++ hotness flavor. The restaurant has seating inside & outside.
