We visited Local Legend Brewing Company on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. In one word: outstanding! First, the vibe of the place is very comfortable, with sports memorabilia tastefully decorating the walls, a huge window showing off the beautiful beer fermenters, and huge doors that open to a spacious patio. There was amble table and bar seating inside and plenty of tables outside as well. Inside you will find a few arcade games and a pool table and outside there are games as well, such as ping pong and corn hole. Large mature trees shade the patio area. The building itself is very inviting and clean and every staff person we encountered was friendly and helpful. Okay, so what about the food? We all very much enjoyed our lunches. I ordered fish and chips, which consisted of a generous portion of perfectly cooked fish served with seasoned fries and slaw. My wife got a cob salad with chicken. The chicken breast was freshly grilled and placed atop the salad. She loved it! My son ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I had a bite and it was hot, indeed, but not so hot that it was not enjoyable. Finally my granddaughter ordered the Philly Cheese steak, which she thoroughly enjoyed as well. That was plenty of food, but we had to try their jumbo pretzel with beer cheese. We got it, shared it, and liked is so much we ordered another. I can't comment on the beer since I did not consume it, but their soft drinks were very tasty, from the Coke with plenty of fizz to the unsweetened iced tea which was crisp, clear, and clean tasting. There was nothing that we did not like about our first visit, and we definitely plan to add this to our short list of "favorites" on the island. Outstanding!
