The 17 Best Restaurants Near Lake Chelan - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The pizzas at Local Myth seem like they were created by hitting the “add all” toppings button. For example, the Taco Wagon has a sour cream swirl, three cheeses, jalapeños, tomatoes, onions, scallions, garlic, chorizo, and *takes a deep breath* cilantro. But we’ve found that their simple dishes are even better, like the margherita pie that comes with cherry tomatoes or the very cheesy and very delicious pepperoni calzone. Leftover cold slices from Local Myth are the perfect snack before doing a cannonball into the lake. Don’t worry, we debunk the wait-30-minutes-after-eating-to-swim rule basically every summer." - carlo mantuano, emily burks

Talk about the perfect pizza! This place absolutely nailed it! The pizza was amazing, that crispy undercarriage (not a hint of limp!) was exactly how pizza should be done. I got their lunch special, which was perfectly priced and came with a fresh salad and a massive slice of pizza that hit all the right notes. The staff were super friendly and attentive, checking in just enough without hovering. You can tell they really care about their customers and have a great connection with their community, everyone walking in seemed like a regular. If you’re a pizza lover, do yourself a favor and stop here. Great food, great people, and just an all-around feel good spot.

Google
Great experience, awesome staff, and wonderful pizza and beer. We took full advantage of the staff recommendations, I asked for a beer sample and he brought a second he said was a similar style, a local wheat ale, and that's what I ended up with, it was great. The wedge salad was a big hit and pizza, after he nailed it with the beer, I asked him to pick the best or most popular. His one question back was , "Do you like spicy?" Since we do he suggested "The Firecracker" this was a for sure winner! We will definitely be back!

Google
Ate lunch here yesterday, started out with 2 local draft beers and the wedge salad. I was in heaven, ice cold local brew and a delicious salad. Ordered the combo pizza, thin crust was crispy and the toppings were fantastic! I highly recommend this pizza restaurant!!! Almost forgot, the service was top notch! Thank you!!

Google
Came here for the first time and honestly did nootttt disappoint!! It’s so good and everything was fresh and amazing. Perfect crust, flavors and portions. Over all just delicious. We had a party of 5 and shared everything but the calzone (husband ate the whole thing himself and that thing is huge). We had ordered the 3 meat Calzone, Penne Al Ragu, Chicken Cordon Blue, Margherita Myth Pizza w/ Prosciutto and for dessert the Affogato. We dug right into the affogato so we didn’t get a photo but I absolutely - highly recommend getting it because it was so good.

Google
Tried “The First Date” pizza, and it was amazing! One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The thin crispy crust was perfect, and the salty prosciutto paired so well with the sharp blue cheese. The sweet dates and balsamic really brought all the flavors together. Definitely a pizza I’m going to order again next time I’m in town!

Google
This is a small local joint with friendly attentive service, laughs, and great music. The food is excellent, from the marinara to the pesto. The roasted red peppers are excellent, and the peppercorns are sliced thin enough to add a salty spice without overwhelming the other flavors. Grab a local or craft beer while you are here. I lived my porter, but the white stout was an excellent choice too!

Google
Even when totally packed, staff are so kind, down to earth, and helpful! Always the best pizza, best service, great selection of beers and ciders.

Hyung Kim

Google
The best pizza place in Lake Chalen. The server was so kind and food was so yummy.

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Sunday evening around 6. Parking downtown was easy. We weren't able to eat inside so we made a Togo order. The inside is cute though with nice booths and a quaint little outside area with stools. We had to wait around 45 minutes for our pizzas to be ready. The menu has an assortment of different pizzas! Crust was crispy and pizza made well. Portions good size and we had leftovers to eat later! If craving pizza in chelan definitely the place to be!

Yelp
We come to Chelan often and always make time to visit Local Myth Pizza. Their pizzas have a generous amount of delicious toppings with extremely flavorful combinations. The sauce is very tasty and there is an ample amount of sauce, so the pizza is never dry. For pizza connoisseurs, you'll be pleased to know the dough is not soggy, yet not overcooked either. For the amount of toppings on the pizza, that is no small accomplishment. This is not a case of Local Myth Pizza simply being the best alternative in town, it stands against any of the greats you've tried before.

Yelp
This place was very busy so we order pizza to go and had it a the park just up the block. My friends really enjoyed the pizza they ordered, unfortunately mine fell flat. I built my own with crispy pepperoni with onions and spinach. The crispy pepperoni was dried out, I would've probably been better off just getting the regular pizza. And there was a good amount of spinach but it was cooked on really well, it was almost like it was topped on for the last 30 seconds of the cook.

Yelp
Me and my two girl friends went to get a seat to eat pizza and they would not serve us. They were dismissive and unreasonable for no reason. I love their pizza and I'm bummed I couldn't share it with my friends.

Yelp
A group (5) of us stopped into Local Myth Pizza for lunch while staying in Chelan. Free parking can be found on the street. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Outdoors offers a small seating area to enjoy the sunshine during one's visit. Shade umbrellas protect against the direct sunshine rays. Indoors does not have a lot of seating so we were lucky that we happened to stop by mid-week and during the slow lunch hours. Local Myth Pizza gear is available for purchase. Local Myth Pizza offers beer, wine and hard ciders. There is a considerable amount of draft beer choices for a pizza joint. Growlers can be filled to-go. Lunch specials are offered Tuesday-Friday from 11:30am-2:00pm. Happy Hour is offered on beer/cider during this time-frame as well. I had a Lucille IPA for $6 (hh) while choosing my lunch choice. My daughter had an Endless Orchard Cider for $7 (hh). My wife had a Dirty Face Amber for $6 (hh). A couple people in my group ordered the lunch special "Slice up Your Life" (2 toppings) with a lunch salad for $11.49. My daughter and I shared the small (10") Garden Nouveau Pizza for $17: sun dried tomato, spinach, cremini mushrooms, red onion, artichoke hearts, red bell pepper, garlic, cheese, basil pesto tomato sauce, and drizzled with sesame oil. We substituted the kalamata olives with artichoke hearts for no additional charge. Our pizza was vibrant in color, loaded with fresh veggies and absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and efficient.

Yelp
Best crust we've ever had- thin with a good chew yet crispy as well. Fun to learn about the passion that goes into the pizzas. Everything is made from scratch! Chelan is so beautiful along the Riverwalk especially: get your pizza to-go and enjoy it along the river somewhere!

Yelp
Third pizza 'parlor' we found in CHELAN.... FIRST -5- Star we would give! Pizza was hand tossed, thinner, fluffy with a slight crunch crust! We ordered the Crunch Pep ADD SAUSAGE!!!!! (I was looking for a bit more protein) PERFECTO!! Some brews on tap! Bottles and wine, of course! Corner Parlor located across from the Chelan RiverWalk, so a great location to enjoy before/after a pleasant stroll... They have Take-and- Bake as well! Great job Guys! Keep up the devotion of Perfecto Pizza! (Order the Sybil Special= Pep Crunch+Sausage)

Yelp
Great service and the "First date Pizza " is a must. The Caesar salad very good but a little dry for my taste. A great choice

Sandy G.

Yelp
Excellent pizza with an amazing crust. Delicious but pricey. Texted when order was ready, right on time. Busy place.

Yelp
In Chelan you better pre-order your food or expect to wait an hour, so we pre-ordered our pizza and went to pick it up. We only had to wait a few minutes and we were on our way. The first thing I noticed is that I couldn't pick up a slice of pizza because the crust was so soggy it just folded up and all the toppings slid right off. I will say, there were a lot of toppings and they tasted good, but a soggy crust just automatically knocks a few points off (unless you like that of course). We also got an order of breadsticks that were just meh. They had a nice smoky flavor that was nice but they were extremely bland, even with the accompanying marinara dipping sauce. I'd probably try them again in the future but if it's like this again I don't think I'd be going back regularly. Fix that crust though and I think this would be an amazing pizza.

Carol O.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service was great. Rather noisy overall especially if someone is drinking at the counter.

Yelp
This mostly take out pizza place with just a few tables was a terrific choice for dinner on a winter weeknight. First of all, they were open. This is important in Chelan in February, as many eating establishments are closed on weeknights. But what terrific pizza choices! They had many different offerings of toppings. It's not just the usual fare. Mine was Canadian bacon and pineapple, but also black olives and garlic, both welcome additions. They have a good gluten free crust and local cider ( my go to as I'm not a beer fan). Prices were decent, and they served us quickly, and service was better than average! We finished up a few minutes before closing, and we got our check with a smile. I wish they were closer to my home. They'd be my fav for sure. Be aware they are popular. You can order online. Allow time for a line when picking up to go orders.

Nikita B.

Yelp
Service was fine but honestly the pizza was weird. E had the margarita and, while I'm the first person to jump on anything with fresh tomatoes, the pizza was totally overloaded with sauce and tomatoes, massive amount of garlic (creating bitterness), and something about the crust was just odd-almost like wheat bread. Not a do-over for us.

Yelp
We love this pizza place and have been coming for years. So glad it continues to be delicious! This time we had the Pep Crunch -did not expect the pepperoni to be cut up, but it really made the pizza taste amazing. All the flavors blended really well together. Also had their iced tea which is 1/2 black and 1/2 chai tea and also delicious! The inside dining is small-2 booths, a few tables and some bar seating. There's also some bar-style patio seating outside. But you can now order online and also take it to go to the park across the street. Perfect!

Yelp
We read the good reviews when visiting Chelan and decided to stop by and take some pizza back to our camp site. We had a buffalo honey pizza and a salad. Both were fantastic! We arrived on a Tuesday evening and this place was PACKED. There's a large free lot next to the building, so parking was easy. It was fun see the staff cooking the food and our items were actually ready quicker than expected. We wanted to come back a second time, but time didn't allow. Can't wait to come back next time!

Yelp
Foods Awesome - Great vibe - Servers are chill. Favorite pizza place in Chelan. Let's go
google avatar

Ariel K.

Yelp
We ordered 2 10" pizzas called three meat and sausage 2. Ordered regular size Caesar salad and bought red blend wine. Food was great. The restaurant was so smoky and we were glad that we didn't have to dine in.

Deborah M.

Yelp
Great three meat pizza with amazing crust. Service went above and beyond- friendly and quick! We ate outside with space and water for our dog.
google avatar

Yelp
This is some of the best pizza we've ever had. The Greek salad is so good we always grab one to go. Cute little bar patio with a nice view. Friendly service and cold beers.

Kathryn R.

Yelp
Local Myth has been in Chelan for many years for good reason. The pizza is delicious. It is imaginative. I personally love almost any pizza but Local Myth is aspirational. We generally do takeout since the restaurant is usually full and has no a/c...pizza is always ready and well prepared. The restaurant itself is charming in an off beat way -the only issue is lack of a/c and its own popularity!
google avatar

Deb L.

Yelp
The BEST pizza I have EVER eaten in my 63 years!! Nice thin delicious crust and combinations of items done to perfection: )
google avatar

Allison T.

Yelp
Amazing pizza- we have been to almost every restaurant in Chelan and this is by far the best. Added artichoke hearts to the Creamy chicken, and ordered the crunchy pep. We will come back! The wait is worth it.

Breanna W.

Yelp
Their food is so delicious! We had two calzones most recently and it was great. The service was friendly too.

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Wow! Can't believe finding really good east coast pizza in a small eastern Washington town. Chelan gem. Glad we came at this time of year...must be crazy in the summer. Great service.

Denise Z.

Yelp
Stopped for dinner at Local Myth Pizza and we're so happy we did. They were very busy, but we got a seat at bar while waiting for a table. . Chatted with some local residents who told us this is their #1 pizza choice. Took forever for a table and our pizza was slow to come out. However, they ended up comping us 2 drinks and a gelato. They did that without us making a single complaint! We thought the pizza was excellent and had no complaint on the service. Being comp'd was a pleasant surprise and shows how much they value their clients. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant!
google avatar

Rennie M.

Yelp
Best pizza in town hands down and now with the take home and bake edition, it is also nice so you don't have to wait. The con is the lack of seating and when it's crowded, it can be 2 hour wait at times to sit. if you can carry out or go when not busy, don't miss it while you are in Chelan and throw in that family size greek salad! love local myth!!
google avatar

Sean T.

Yelp
Local Myth serves up our favorite pan pizza in the area. They are not shy with their toppings and they are creative as well, they always have local brews on tap, they stock some local wines, and they have options for gluten free folks. The crust is unique and is kinda a blend of Neapolitan and pan pizza. They actually have another location at Benson Winery which is 100% Neapolitan style and I think that is even better. The flavors at that location feel more focused and thus shine more. The staff is friendly and efficient. I wish they were open to 9 rather than 8. The ventilation is somewhat sketchy and sometimes the inside of the restaurant can be a bit smokey when they are churning out the pizzas. In short, solid pizza, good beer. You won't leave hungry!
google avatar

Kelli C.

Yelp
Walked in the door, greeted by friendly staff! Needed to wait for a table, but that was ok since we could order a bottle of wine while waiting. Split a regular Caesar, so big and tasty! Had the combo pizza, cooked perfectly and so many toppings! When in Chelan again I'd love to come back and try another pizza! Cool decor, with the oven up front and you can watch them making the pies. Fun spot!

John W.

Yelp
Visited from out of town. Atmosphere was great. The service, pizza and beer were outstanding!

Nanci V.

Yelp
Excellent customer service!! An amazing choice of cold beer and the Cesar salad was crisp and delish! The pizza was meaty and the crust was light. Just the right amount of cheese to not overwhelm. Thank you Myth. Sorry to see you're not at Benson. It was a perfect combo!

Andrea S.

Yelp
They have Lucille on tap from George Town brewery yum the wedge salad was delicious the pizza was amazing love this place so good would recommend and certainly be back service was fantastic

Yelp
Local Myth Pizza seems like the highest reviewed pizza place in Chelan and we decided to get a quick pie to eat on our drive back to Seattle. It seems like wait times are typically 30-40 minutes around dinner time (we went the previous day and left because we couldn't wait). We only got a single pizza this time: Creamy Chicken, Small ($17) - The first thing we noticed was that the crust seemed a bit wan and didn't have that developed pizza crust color that you would expect. The crust was a whole wheat flour thin crust that wasn't particularly crisp. You can definitely taste the wheat. Within around 5-10 minutes after coming out of the oven, the crust was already soggy. As a result, it was hard to eat as the pizza was very droopy. I think the construction could use some work here. For the sauce, the allium flavor of the leek sauce comes through, with a hint of balsamic notes. The prosciutto and chicken add a meaty savoriness, always welcome. The sun dried tomatoes adds a nice burst of acidity, and red onion some sweetness. They supposedly us fresh mozzarella, but the texture reminded me more of low moisture block mozzarella. Overall the pizza tasted good, but the texture and construction left a lot to be desired. Local Myth might well be the best pizza in Chelan but I'm not sure it would survive in a bigger city. Still, it's a decent place to visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
Awesome pizza and service. Long wait but totally worth it. Got the firecracker and it hit the spot. Spicy but perfectly balanced and flavorful AF with loads of fresh toppings to work through. Hand-stretched crist was the perfect combo of crisp and chewy. Wedge salad was amply dressed and the combo of ingredients was so nice; dried cranberries a delicious counterpoint to the gorgonzola and blue cheese. Great place and can't wait to come back for another go.
google avatar

Jessica V.

Yelp
Local favorite , lunch special is amazing. They have local wine, beer, and cider on tap. Greek salad is a must!
google avatar

Tim A.

Yelp
Great pizza place in Chelan. Actually they have the best thin crust made with 00 grade flour and the toppings are all gourmet. This place gives Seattle's Pagliacci a run for their money.
google avatar

Tuan Q.

Yelp
Myth is correct, the lie that this is a good pizza joint. $25 bucks for a 12" pizza is a joke. The wait is horrible too. A bunch of tourist and stuck up local Celanese. You know the flannel/plaid-wearing ones or khaki shorts and polo. The pizzas are similar to California pizza kitchen but more expensive and soggy. They try to put on "Artisanal" ingredients like baby angel flowers from Unicorn Valley picked at night. Absolutely con job of a pizza joint. Ambiance is strictly faux Italian / Lake Chelan snobbery blue.
google avatar

Steve B.

Yelp
This place has great pizza for celiacs! You wouldn't know it's gluten free! Yumm yumm! The service is awesome too!
google avatar

Joy P.

Yelp
i was taken to local myth by locals who are regulars there and it was the absolutely best spot they could've shown me in town! very cute, small town vibe from the moment we walked in and great options, both food and drink-wise. you can eat in, order to go completely baked and piping hot or ready to be baked at home but my first experience taught me that any of these ways are going to result in happy eaters! we ordered a caesar salad to split and two different pizzas, one medium and one small. everything was delicious and the attentive, friendly service made for this non-local to want to come back the next time i'm in the vicinity. the pizza is very thin crust and regardless of which one is ordered, there's a healthy amount of ingredients sitting atop. they don't skimp! i'm so glad that this was my introduction to eating out in chelan town. it's an adorable place that merits a visit, and i bet it's super crowded in the summer when the weather is warmer and the town is more crowded so plan accordingly!

Rose O.

Yelp
What a RIP OFF!!! Over 200 dollars ... 4 people two pizza not even that Good!!! 7 small cups of wine(not served in wine glasses) we were so shook!!! Waitress seemed to feel Guilty of what we were charged.... Will NEVER go there Again!!!! Zero stars
google avatar

Jordyn L.

Yelp
Great pizza, great service, great environment! Came here for lunch on our way out of Lake Chalen and back to Tacoma, wait was a little long but we came right as they opened. Waitress was beyond amazing, kind, funny, and helpful! Some of the best service we have received in Lake Chelan, on top of great pizza! Would recommend!!

Natalie B.

Yelp
I'll be honest, this was one of the worst pizzas I've had. I was craving a basic margarita pizza, something I get all the time and never disappoints. All of the pizzas here look and sound amazing, I figured their margarita would be top-notch. However, It got soggy extremely fast, the mozzarella was rubbery, and there was honestly no flavor at all. I also got their version of a "Caprese salad", again, no flavor and not enough balsamic. I was hoping for the price that I would be amazed by both of these but that was not the case unfortunately.

Jan K.

Yelp
Pizza was good and the service was friendly and accommodating. Very relaxed atmosphere but it was early so I'm sure it gets busier.
google avatar

Jorge H.

Yelp
Honest to god , this is the best pizza I have ever had ! Delicious all the way around and all of the wait staff is super kind . Second time there and it won't be my last

Jim F.

Yelp
Best pizza ever! Happy group of 4 with Happy Bellies!! Came all the way from Mount Vernon for legendary pizza.

Hannah J.

Yelp
The pesto chicken pizza was delicious! The pesto had the perfect amount of flavoring, not too overbearing, with crisp crust. The pepperoni was also pretty good too. The place seemed pretty busy - overall decent establishment with friendly staff.
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Who would of thought you'd find amazing pizza in Chelan and even better, it's right next to the lake! If visiting Chelan, you must try local myth pizza. If you like thin and crunchy crusts with lots of toppings, this is your place. Local Myth Pizza is probably one of the best pizza places I've tried in all of Washington!
google avatar

Jonelle T.

Yelp
We popped into local myth based on a recommendation and grabbed a pizza to eat at the beach. Overall, we thought the pizza was ok. We did a large pie and customized it to our liking with olives, pepperoni, mushrooms, spinach and basil. The crust was thin, but pliable and they definitely didn't skimp on the toppings, but we just weren't wowed by the pizza. The price point was quite high and it wasn't anything special. Probably the best pizza in Chelan, but not sure local myth would hold up elsewhere.

Scott C.

Yelp
Simply amazing! Freshest ingredients, cooked to perfection very tasty. One of our favorite places in Chelan.
google avatar

Bryan F.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! Came here on a busy Sunday around 1pm and we were seated right away. The inside is busy but decorated well. I ordered the 10" Margarita myth and it was amazing! Normally I need a 12" pizza but I had a couple pieces leftover on this one. It was cooked so well and the flavors combined so well together. Reasonable price compared to other places in chelan. If you're in chelan, you must come here! I also ordered an apricot cider which was really good, and they even brought us chilled glasses since it was in a can. Bill before tip was around $23 which isn't bad for a big pizza and a cider!
