Google
my favorite poke place. great selection for protein, toppings, mix ins, and sauces. the portions are always really large so they’re not stingy at all unlike other poke places. service is always nice and attentive. the restaurant is always clean too. i love this place!

Google
Local Poke is my new go-to spot for fresh and delicious poke! I was craving a good poke bowl and decided to give them a try, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered a medium bowl and built my own combination, which is always a plus. The star of the show was definitely the tuna – it tasted incredibly fresh, like it had just been caught. All of the mix-ins were also fresh and vibrant, making for a truly satisfying and flavorful bowl. What also impressed me was the portion size. The medium bowl was a decent portion, definitely enough to satisfy my hunger without being overwhelming. It felt like I got great value for my money. On top of the amazing food, the service was fantastic. The guy who helped me was hella nice (as you said!), friendly, and helpful, which just added to the positive experience. If you're looking for fresh, high-quality poke with generous portions and friendly service, Local Poke is the place to be. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back for more!

Google
Most flavorful delicious spicy salmon! Kendrick is awesome. Makes you feel like you’re at home! Very clean! Hands-down, best poke bowl location in Houston!!

Google
This is the ONLY good poke place in the inner loop. Fish tastes so good and they provide such good portions! I get this place almost every week cause it’s the only place I can get my poke fix in. Other places either skimp you or the fish isn’t as fresh. Will continue to come here forever

Google
Local Poke is my favorite poke place in the city. It’s a much better choice to the chains out there. They’re a small family owned business and they do it right. It’s always fresh and delicious at a great price point. I’ve tried almost every poke spot in town and Local Poke reigns supreme. I would highly recommend it to anybody searching for great poke. Great option for lunch or dinner.

Google
This is our favorite poke place. Solid bowls with great selection of ingredients and toppings. Clean and well maintained interior. Even recently added more games for patrons and kiddos to use while dining in.

Google
I know quite a bit about fish quality, as I’ve worked with it and I’m from Norway. Even though the fish they use is from Iceland, the same standards apply. I can say with my hand on my heart: The ingredients they use are of high quality! You’ll know exactly what I mean if you’ve ever had lower-quality salmon. The feeling after the meal is fantastic — you simply feel good. No bloating, high energy, and you stay full for a long time! Local Poke is the perfect spot for a delicious cheat meal that’s actually healthy!

Danna Garcia

Google
The food was overly sweet. Despite getting the spicy mayo I felt it was hardly spicy and certainly overpowered by what tasted like a ton of sugar in the sushi rice. Service was good, but if you’re looking for a fresh savory meal this ain’t it. I usually clean the bowl with poke, but I couldn’t even bring myself to finish this meal.

Yelp
Was feeling healthy and this pole place came up highly rated! A large bowl comes with 4 proteins, 2 "sides" and unlimited toppings. Sides are an unusual add on and include crab salad, avocado, seaweed salad, wonton chips. For $2 more, you can get a Poke Plus bowl which cones with two more sides. For my protein, I choose two scoops each of marinated tuna and marinate salmon. Other unlimited toppings include corn, mango, pineapple, shitake, green onion, jalapeño, edamame, among other things. Flavors and quantities are good. Price and quality rivals what is available in the Bay Area!

Yelp
We go here pretty often and every single time, the food has been fresh. No unexpected salmon bones, no food poisoning the next day (IYKYK), the sauces are on point, and the portions are generous for the price point. 10000% recommend. I always do a build your own bowl because I like choosing my proteins and toppings. The crab salad doesn't have an upcharge and they have a spicy version that is sooo good. Lots of seating too. We sometimes take a bowel from here to picnic at a brewery. The servers are also really nice. Will be back!

Yelp
No gloves while handling food, employee wearing Pijamas and had an AirPod in, messed up order 3-4 times, lack of knowledge about menu by employee. Wow, so when we arrived we were excited to have local poke again as it had been a while. We were greeted by a young man who messed up our order 4 times before actually getting it right. My wife was the one that caught the initial mistake which he had mixed the proteins. Then he added spicy mayo to all 3 plates when 1 of them didn't have it. Long story short, we felt we shouldn't have to be monitoring someone who is making the food while we catch up. By the time we were checking out I didn't even feel comfortable paying due to all the mistakes made and the mistakes i might have not even caught not to mention they weren't even wearing gloves to handle food. I was not going to take the food. Once I told "the manager" he said he was not going to refund me any of the bowls due to him having "watched" his employee make it. I'm not going to say "you've lost a customer" but just giving anybody a heads up that cares.

Yelp
Solid poke spot with surprisingly lots of options for protein, sides, and mix-ins! I liked that they had marinated proteins (avocado salmon, volcano tuna, spicy scallop) as well as fresh ones. They had a lot of different sides that I haven't seen at other poke places without having to add on additional costs. Also something I definitely haven't seen is having wonton chips as a base! I built my own large bowl and got to choose 4 proteins, 2 sides, as well as unlimited mix-ins, sauces, and toppings. Everything tasted delicious, my bowl was just a bit too saucy for me so I would probably get it on the side next time.

Yelp
I ordered on uber eats. I got two bowls, one with double Salma and one with double shrimp. The salmon had way less protein/pieces than the shrimp and the salmon itself didn't have much flavor. The shrimp tasted like it was frozen and defrosted after being cooked. Not good. I was a fan of the crab salad being kinda wet from I assume mayonnaise? And the spicy crab salad wasn't spicy. I was missing mango from my order. Aside from the protein the overall taste of the bowl was ok but I'll stick to my other poke place.
google avatar

Payton M.

Yelp
Best poke spot in Houston by far! Great options for proteins and mix ins. Items like avocado and spicy crab salad that are usually an additional charge at other poke places aren't extra here which is really nice. I come here close to once a week it's that good! Employees are all super nice!
google avatar

Rudy S.

Yelp
They always do a great job. Love their fresh salmon, spicy tuna, masago and black tobiko. I can definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Zain K.

Yelp
Finally, a place that doesn't up-charge for "premium ingredients" - a particular annoyance given that some of these ingredients, such as avocado and wakame, are traditional poke staples. As a trade-off, portion sizes are a little smaller than at other places, but given that I can't usually finish my bowl anyhow, and given that poke isn't the kind of thing I want to eat as leftovers, that exchange works for me. Quality-wise, Local Poke also fares well. Fresh fish and other toppings, sushi rice with good texture, and sauces that aren't either too sweet or too salty.
google avatar

Ericka S.

Yelp
I tried this Local Poke location again after a long absence, and, sadly, this place is no longer a favorite of mine. The service was OK, but I was really surprised at how mediocre the food was. The cabbage in the kimchi was really soggy, the tuna and salmon were a tough, rubbery texture. I am a sushi and sashimi lover, so trust me when I say the texture was way off. It just wasn't on the same level as bowls I've gotten here in the past. No Thank you, not returning.

Yelp
This was a very fresh and delicious meal! I had the Main (#2 signature bowl), which had salmon mixed with avocado and green onion. The ordering system was a little messy because one of the employees seemed chaotic, but I was very happy with my bowl. I had brown rice as the base but was able to add spring mix and cucumbers as well. I subbed wonton chips for the crab salad and added fried onion and garlic. Everything went so well together, and I loved how they have a ton of topping options. The fish was tender too and not chewy as I've had in the past. My small bowl was about $13 but I felt like it was good value because it was a filling meal. I would definitely come back!

Theresa D.

Yelp
Went here after reading good reviews but unfortunately was unimpressed. Big poke fan, found this place was pretty mid. Not the worst but def not the best. Quality/quantity not worth the price. Service was fine.

Loan T.

Yelp
This is my favorite poke spot! The ingredients are always incredibly fresh, and the portions are generous. A special shoutout to Kendrick for his outstanding service--he was super friendly and patient, even when I was indecisive about my order. In addition to the poke bowl, my coworker and I tried the spam musubi, which was made fresh to order!!! Despite a few people behind us, Kendrick stayed calm and focused, ensuring everything was prepared with care. The musubi was amazing, packed with flavor from the spicy mayo and unagi sauce. Definitely a must-try! I wish I had pictures but I devoured the food so fast!

Yelp
The best quality and value poke in Houston. With all the poke places in Houston, Local Poke stands out as the best value with included premium toppings and add-ins that are typically an additional charge at other places. The fish is fresh and the staff is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Try the pre-marinaded traditional poke for a taste of Hawaii. Ample parking in the back.

Yelp
Quality ingredients which quite frankly is most important. Great variety and options. My mouth is watering now.

Yelp
While I do enjoy the poke here, I feel as though last night was the last straw. Tuesday April 12, 2022 8:00pm My friend and I like to occasionally come here for a post workout meal and enjoy a really fresh and healthy poke bowl. There's always two dudes there (the same one black dude we always see and some rotation of another guy) My friend and I walked in at 8pm and mind you, I know they close at 9pm, but we're always so respectful of their time and try not to make a mess. Upon our entry, 2 other patrons came in as well. A dude with a duffel bag on and another dude who parked their bicycle in the front to the store. The worker (he wore a hat, had long red hair, had floral shorts on as if he was going to the beach) that helped us. He went in frantic mode and acted almost like he was new, and didn't know what he was doing. My friend and I do these guys as solid by just ordering the signature bowls so that we don't inconvenience them. We'll say items we don't want but normally we're totally fine with the menu. But the dude seriously was running back and forth and seemed like a chicken with its head cut off. Take a chill pill man. He was rushing hardcore. I get it man. Cause he had to make 3 bowls and clean up before 9pm. He made my friend, mine, and her to go order. He kept asking if I wanted this or that, and I'm like, "yeah whatever comes with the bowl. I'm ok with the signature bowl". He rushed us to the point he started bagging up our items. I'm thinking uhhh, can I at least get some crunchy toppings like the garlic or shallots? AND YOU KNOW WHAT THIS FOOL SAID????? And I quote "you should have told me before I rang you up" BISH I laughed in his face. I said "well you didn't give me a chance cause you were rushing". Honestly that shit kinda gets on my nerves when dudes say things like that. Man I dare the owner/manager watch the camera back and see how rushed he was. While the other dude just chill af scooping rice. So then he proceeds to ask, "y'all need any utensils?" And I said out loud, "oh I think we're gonna eat here" He responded "we already closed the dining room" I scan the whole place and the dining room ain't closed. I looked at my friend and laughed. We paid and as we were walking towards the back door, I made sure to say out loud, "this dude must be new". Like bro. Should've said it from the beginning and not at the end. You close at 9pm. Not 8:15. While I do like this place, y'all need more chill dudes who aren't rude af and say "you should've told me before I rang you". Bish pls watch the camera back and you got workers acting like they new and in dramatic mode.

Yelp
Eh. Poke aficionado here as y'all know. Just keep going. There are plenty of other really good places with great customer service which I'm HUGE on. I'll walk out quick if the service is poor. The only reason we didn't here is we were in a rush and starving from an ikea run, we couldn't make an extra stop. The lady helping had an attitude of being bothered. Similar to "why are you here" which is unfortunate for a business owner to have a staff hurting the business like that. The rice was not warm, indicating it wasn't very fresh. Thank goodness the ahi was cold or I'd be worried. I got spicy with spicy Mayo and as the picture shows, they...:maybe...kind of....added the spicy Mayo? Sparingly? Not sure. Anyway. Just look up one of the other many VERY good credible places (check out my Yelp if you need ideas)

Uyen T.

Yelp
been here a couple of times and it's hands down my favorite poke spot in houston! it's really quiet in there because it's not situated in a busy plaza, which is nice. the employee, mr. kendrick is so nice and uplifting! the protein options are also so good! I mainly like the hamachi, scallop, mixed salmon, and spicy crab. Also love their honey wasabi sauce!
google avatar

Mandy H.

Yelp
Overall, I had a good experience at local poke with my friends. The staff service was fast and kind. The food was great! The protein was fresh, and I enjoyed the toppings I've picked. Local poke has parking behind the building among with other stores. For this poke, I believe it is a reasonable price. A small bowl is 2 servings for me. I would like to go again if i crave some poke bowls! Ultimately, I rate this a 8.5/10 overall.

Andrew F.

Yelp
Damn Good. Friendly staff and would recommend this place highly. Slightly different options than other places and I enjoyed it.
google avatar

Yelp
Service- quick and fast Stopped by after a grocery run. In and out in less than 10 minutes. Food- ordered the small Main #2 signature dish. Rice was good. Ingredients looked smaller in size, but I completely underestimated. It was a perfect amount and was filling. Didn't think I would like the seaweed or crab salad - but I regret not getting double for each. It helped for Added texture and freshness. I overall enjoyed my meal and will be returning!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm so happy I have a poke place close to my job now! Stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to have lunch. I decided to try one of their specialty bowls so I had the Main poke bowl and added green onions and jalapeños to it. It was amazing!! All the ingredients tasted fresh and the staff was very nice. There was a good amount people in for a lunch rush but he really kept the line moving. I should also note that the place was very clean, and they were cleaning immediately after customers were leaving. I will definitely be back frequently to get my weekly poke fix!

Yelp
On our quest to find the best poke spot in Houston, Z and I made the long trek to the Heights to check out Local Poke. And though my car wasn't used to the over 15 minute drive, I have to say it was worth it! We parked in the lot behind the storefront and entered the store, pleasantly empty on a Wednesday at lunch time. The server was happy to give us recommendations on his favorite bowl which I decided to order (The Heights), while my friend opted for the build your own bowl option. With both tuna and salmon, this bowl packed a punch! We slightly regretted ordering regular size bowls as there was far too much food for us to finish, but in true Yelper fashion we made room in our stomachs... somewhere! And boy was it worth it. The flavors of the house ponzu sauce and sesame oil were delicious, and I appreciated the double helping of crab salad (since I don't like seaweed salad). I generally don't try ponzu sauce with poke because of the sweetness, but I think Local did a great job in not making it too overwhelming. For poke lovers and Heights residents, this spot is definitely worth checking out. While the bowls don't seem as carefully curated as a few other Houston spots (I'm looking at you, Seaside and Ono), the sheer volume of food for the price at Local pushes it over the edge. I may not make the drive all the way here just for poke again, but I'll definitely stop by if I'm in the area!
google avatar

Noelle M.

Yelp
I could eat poke everyday, but not if it was from here. The rice was so undercooked and crunchy that it's hard for me to even be able to comment on anything else--so I won't.
google avatar

Cindy S.

Yelp
I have zero complaints about this place. Masks are required during the pandemic and they have a big jug of sanitizer for customers to use, too. I saw the employees exercise good hand washing skills while I was ordering my food. I was helped by a gentleman who was exceedingly patient with me. He explained all of the protein choices available in detail and made sure to ask me if I have any nut or dairy allergies. He also explained exactly what the sides were and gave me a rundown of all the toppings, too. The interior of the restaurant is clean and I felt the portion of poké that I received was a great value for what I paid. I LOVE that one of their base options is cucumber- genius! The fish was very, very fresh. My mac nut soy marinated tuna also tasted divine. Enjoyed a lot and will be back.
google avatar

Jennifer V.

Yelp
Favorite poke in Houston! Fish are well marinated and they give a variety of toppings/mix-ins for a really good price.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
This is my go-to-poke place. They offer the standard fish options plus some others like marinated tuna and scallops. The ingredients are always super fresh and they have a good variety of toppings. My favorite thing about this place is that sides like seaweed salad, spicy crab salad, and spicy tuna salad come with the bowl already instead of being extra. The small comes with two scoops of fish and two sides plus unlimited toppings and it left me very full. Would recommend for a quick and tasty lunch!
google avatar

Kourtney H.

Yelp
I live in the neighborhood and have been casually satisfying my poke cravings with the bowls from H‑E‑B. But I realized recently I deserve BETTER. SO I Hopped on here...and was directed by my fellow yelpers to this AMAZING GEM OF A POKE spot. Everything. Is. So. Friggin. GOOD. And fresh And the portions are AMAZING And the price is RIGHT I love it here. That is all

William K.

Yelp
Reasonably priced and very fresh. It's usually under staffed, so if you're in a hurry maybe it's not for you. In my opinion it's worth the wait though!

Anna T.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this will be our last time here. Boyfriend has gotten food poisoning from here years ago but decided to give this place another chance. This is the first time I've gotten food poisoning from Local Poke. Came here on 11/6. We threw up and had the squirts all night, now even into the evening of 11/7. We have body aches and chills. We won't be back.
google avatar

Pink C.

Yelp
The food was good, mainly sea food, no chicken. the sides are super limited as well. The service was friendly. The place was quiet and chill 7/10 spot
google avatar

Shelby L.

Yelp
This is my favorite poke place. Their prices are really reasonable (starting at $8.95), they have a great selection of fresh sides & toppings, and they're quick & close to some good bars that you can take food in (like Underdogs and Nettbar). Also, avocado can be an included side! That alone earns my loyalty. They also cater to my ridiculous condiment habit without batting an eyelash, which I appreciate.
google avatar

Christine P.

Yelp
I was looking for a new poke place to try in this area, and stumbled upon this place after seeing so many good reviews about it. I would say this place does offer more unique protein options compared to other poke places. I tried hamachi, salmon, and sweet ebi. The fish tasted really fresh. I built my own bowl with rice also. I like that crab salad and wakame (seaweed salad) are sides offered with the same price, without being charged extra, unlike other poke places. The sauce I tried was spicy mayo. I got a medium sized bowl, which was just enough to satisfy me and not make me feel too overly stuffed. The service here was great and the guy who I ordered from was very nice. I would definitely come here again.
google avatar

Aaron F.

Yelp
Guy with long red hair and beard was extremely rude. Obviously pissed about something else and taking it out on me. Felt like I was at a Popeyes. Not sure what was up but I told him he was being a jerk and left before we could even get the order started. Pretty disappointing because this was my wife's favorite poke place but yeah I'm not going to go back at the risk of dealing with a pissed off worker I'm sure local poke does well and my business will not be missed but I'm going to be going to poke works from now on
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
I ordered a custom bowl with tuna and crab salad and I could tell all of the ingredients were really fresh. The flavors and spices were on point as well as the sauces. Great quality
google avatar

Briann R.

Yelp
The Poke was fresh and delicious. They had pineapple which is always a nice touch. However the website did not properly reflect what they actually had in stock in the store. They have more options online which was disappointing. And the ambience of the place is not that cute. When you're inside it's not well decorated it seems like it's almost thrown together as a pop up shop. Which doesn't really matter if you don't care about the type of environments you eat in, but I would rather take this food to go. Seating is limited anyway however, so it might be best to do that regardless. If you are toe dipping into poke and you are not fully sold only fully Asian or fully right experience, this could be a good place to start.

Yelp
After visiting Hawaii and tasting the absolute best of the best poke, I swore I wouldn't eat it in the mainland ever again. Well, a few months later, I got a craving I couldn't ignore and after some digging on Yelp, came across this place. Luckily, it's 5 minutes from home, so I came in for takeout. Wow! When in Houston and not in Hawaii, come here for some poke!!!! I ordered the medium bowl (comes with 3 proteins, 2 sides, and unlimited toppings). I got spicy tuna x2, and spicy salmon for my proteins, the stars of the show! A little rice and greens for the base, couple sides and toppings and spicy mayo and we had ourselves a winner. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful! 5 stars from me, will definitely put this spot on my rotation! Service was great too. My new fave poke place in Houston!

Yelp
We were searching for a quick but healthier option, and my husband suggested Local Poke. We've been to several and haven't deemed any one of them our go-to for a poke bowl. We went around 7, and unfortunately they were out of hamachi, which is my fave, so I set my expectations lower. I think it's best to highlight the pros vs cons to evaluate this joint. Pros: lots of protein options and toppings. So the concept is like Salata - You choose rice, salad or mix, then proteins (I had the seasoned tuna and salmon, as well as the regular tuna) and then you get to add on other proteins like shrimp, mixed crab, octopus, and various toppings like veggies and fruits. It's a LOT of food for the price, the service is great, and it's fast! Cons: the sauces aren't as "fancy" as some other poke places (ie truffle sauce), the dining are is a bit small, and there aren't enough kid friendly protein options. Having said that, my picky 5.5 yr old gave it two thumbs up. I forgot to take a pic of my food the first time, then forgot to take it before i ate the second time, but I did capture the concept.

Yelp
Local Poke was fantastic. Probably my favorite in Houston. Service was great & it was so much food!! Highly recommend. Chill place!

Yelp
Local Poke is fresh and delicious! This place is a definite top 5 poke place in Houston! My friends and I come here so often because its so conveniently located on Washington Ave just 5 ish minutes away from our climbing gym, Momentum Silver St. My go to order here is the large bowl with half white rice/half mixed greens, 4 scoops of their spicy marinated salmon, spicy tuna, spicy crab salad, seaweed salad, and every mix in/topping except the mango and pineapple. I'm not a fan of fruit in my poke, but if you can't tell I like everything spicy. I also normally get a healthy drizzle of volcano mayo to top everything off. But with so many different fish options, sides, toppings, mix ins, and sauces, the combinations are endless. We'll definitely come here again!
google avatar

Lucy T.

Yelp
Local Poke is my ALL TIME favorite poke restaurant - iykyk! I go at least once a week. Large portion, FREE avocado , a bunch of sides, mix-ins, toppings, 8 different sauces, and everything is consistent all the time. My go-to is a medium bowl - half rice/mix greens with two scoops of marinated salmon and one scoop of marinated tuna, spicy crab salad, and avocado. I switch up on sauce and toppings all the time. Not in Chinatown, but they have 3 locations in Houston - Westheimer Rd, Washington Ave, & Garden Oaks. -- at Local Poke Houston.

Yelp
Update: I was in the area craving poke & thought I'd try Local Poke again lol. This time was a completely different & muchhh better experience! Everything that went wrong last time was fixed this time. The workers were friendly and greeted me walking in. They were helpful of any question I had of the menu. At the register, they also made sure to ask if I had a rewards system & helped to set an account for me. Reviews are feedback & I'm glad to see that Local Poke uses their feedback to make positive changes to their service. As for the food, the fish tasted really fresh! They have a wide selection of fresh toppings to choose from. Avocado and seaweed salad aren't charged extra here like other poke places do. They also have protein/fish choices as sides so you can also get additional protein at no charge as well. You can't really find value like this! The establishment is clean and the workers use a different set of disposable gloves for each poke bowl made. Happy to say that Local Poke is now a staple in my poke rotation.

Yelp
Local Poké is a staple for us. We go almost weekly at this point, but at least every other week. The guys are super friendly. Their prices are AMAZING. The ingredients are always fresh, never disappointing. And that spicy poké sauce is life. Now, to make things even better, they have frequent buyer punch cards. I don't know what I'm going to do if/when we move and I have to find another poké place.
google avatar

Yelp
Hands down the best poke in Houston I discovered this gem as I was in the area and I'm so glad to have given it a try. Their portions are huge, proteins are fresh, and overall so much flavor! I would definitely drive out 40 mins just to eat here again. If you're typically a fan of adding spicy mayo to your bowl, you definitely need to try the volcano mayo. Especially if you like a bit of an extra spicy kick. They have a free parking lot on the backside and is open for dine in while appropriately adhering to COVID social distancing rules.
google avatar

Heather K.

Yelp
This is my daughter's favorite restaurant. She begs to go anytime we pass by, and loves their salmon bowl. The staff is always friendly and seem generous with their portions. We've always enjoyed our meals; the flavors are good and everything tastes fresh. We switched to Local Poke after our former place kept being out of favorite ingredients, and Local always has everything we want.

Yelp
Continuing my Houston Poke search, and this place is close to top of the list for me. They are very informative of what is what if you are new to poke. The first time i came in a sweet lady was helping me, took her time as i had questions and was really so nice. The gentlemen are also very nice. The size of the portions are a bit bigger than some places i have tried. So, that will def keep me coming back. Also, the choices they have for toppings and add on are a good variety and very good. I got part tuna part spicy tuna, added on some avocado, crab, and then of course all the good toppings: green onion, seasoned oil, masago, etc etc. Inside, it is very clean. They also have tables to set at if you want to dine in. Parking is in back or side of the streets. Love this place!

Yelp
Yup, another poke place in town, now right on Washington. There's parking in the back. Not our favorite place for poke, but better than some other places in town. Medium bowl here costs you $9.95 for 3 proteins and 2 sides. Large ($11.95) and nachos ($12.95). I thought the nachos were kinda pricy for wonton chips, so didn't try. The minuses - 1) there was no labels in front of the items to know what things were, so the guys kept telling every customer what each container consisted of - it backed up the entire line and it was slowwww because of that. 2) White rice was sticky and mushy. Actually couldn't finish the rice cause it just wasn't good and they filled up most of the bowl w/ rice so it made it seem like there was a lot of toppings. 3) Worker had to change into gloves to mix and more time wasted to take off and stir the bowls again. Service was really slow assembling the bowl. Yes, there's a variety of toppings but mini scoops of each, some of which didn't look too appealing. The plus- 1) They stood out by having some protein that are pre-marinated 2) unlimited mix-ins, toppings, sauce (even have unagi sauce) 3) clean space and ample parking 4) decent price for medium bowl for the variety of fish/toppings (liked that you can also include cucumbers with the rice as your base) Overall, not a bad place but there can be improvements.

Yelp
Local poke has been my go to establishment for poke since it opened down the street from me. We would usually go here at least once a week for our fix. We have been out of the country for the last 3 months and was excited to come back for poke but have noticed the quality has changed. Everything is a lot smaller portion and including the rice. The quality of the fish (tuna, salmon, yellowtail) is not as fresh and you can taste how fishy it is. Even the color of the fish is not the highest quality as it was before. We noticed they don't offer tobiko anymore and even the spicy poke sauce has changed. We are wondering if they changed management. We both had stomach pains within an hour of eating the poke. Sorry but I think we will not be coming back anymore. Bring back the local poke that we have grown to love.

Yelp
Thought I'd hit up Local Poke, but was surprisingly disappointed. I did the create your own Poke, and noticed the salmon, tuna, and other proteins had been sitting out "mostly" room temperature all day. I proceeded to make my bowl, not letting that deter me from living my best life... Then they slapped 2 of the tiniest scoops of protein into my bowl. SO I GUESS THATS IT? Mkay, well then I wanted to add some fresh Avo on top and the man behind to counter proceeded to tell me they didn't have avocado right now because it was too expensive. Ok well it's on your menu... I topped off my bowl with some mango, and an assortment of other things.. Trying to steer clear of the pineapple which had some funky brown spots. Step it up, Local Poke.

Yelp
Go here all the time. Fresh, healthy, and fast food. They have a new rewards program which isn't terrible.
