First time stepping into this spot, and I’ll say, the staff knew how to set the tone. The hostesses were welcoming and made sure I had a booth with enough privacy to get some work done while enjoying my meal. Simple gesture, but it spoke volumes. My waitress, Sami, was the highlight. Genuine energy, great attitude, and she actually knew her menu. Gave me solid recommendations and checked in just enough to keep things flowing without hovering. That’s how service should feel, natural. The vibe overall was clean, comfortable, and well-lit, though the booth setup was a little awkward; too high with an odd ledge under the seat instead of space beneath the table. Small detail, but worth noting. I went with the regular pizza, dumplings, and loaded potatoes. Flavor-wise, everything landed somewhere in the middle. Edible, but nothing that’ll make you lean back and say “damn.” The dumplings were the biggest miss; more salt than soul. For the price point, I expected a little more depth from the kitchen. Still, Sami carried the experience. Her service alone made it worth the visit, and because of that, I’d come back to see what else the menu has to offer. Sometimes it’s not just the food, it’s the people who make the place.

Sami was so sweet. Made our entire experience enjoyable, quickly taking our order and being kind, would def be back for happy hour. Love the spicy Calabrian chile chicken Ceaser & the nachos. The Sangria is my favorite cocktail. Thank you Sam!

Tried LOCAL Public Eatery Henderson for the first time and it did not disappoint! I had the Steak & Fries it was a 5oz sirloin with Dijon peppercorn sauce and a fried egg on top and it was honestly really good. The flavors were spot on and the steak was cooked perfectly. Service was great too; they sat me down really quick and made sure I was taken care of. The place was super clean, had a great vibe, and I loved that they had the games on. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

LPE is amazing. I’ve been coming here on and off since they opened. There’s been two people that have stood out every time I come: Laura and Kiki have been here since opening and they always treat me like royalty. I haven’t been in here in a while, I met someone new tonight named Justin, a mustached man, he was also amazing! I fear he may be half blind. He claimed I didn’t split the G on my Guinness when I clearly did, but he has great hair so I will let it side. Overall, great vibes, great food, great drinks. Will definitely keep coming back.

We had the BBQ pull pork pasta, peanut butter chicken salad, and the smoked trout dip as a starter! And EVERY dish was goooood! For cocktails, we had the sassy sangria. Not my favorite but it was different and still good. And to top it off, we went during happy hour. Drinks: $5-9 🙌🏾 Food: $8-11

If you haven’t stopped by the LPE, you should. Try to sit in Lia’s section! Service is top notch and the guava margarita is 🔥 I finally tried the pizza here and let me tell you, the hit honey on the pepperoni is so on point. Lia suggested getting a side of truffle ranch and I may never eat pizza without it. 10/10

Sami was amazing. She recommended the skinny margarita and it was so good. We got the smoked trout dip, shrimp and pork dumplings and carnivore pizza. All of it was great. Beautiful and cozy restaurant. We’ll definitely be back.

1st time. Wonder ambience. Delicious food tasty drinks. Even better customer service which is definitely hit or miss in most fast pace hospitality environments. Sam P was our waitress and did not disappoint. Attentive, patient and recommending. A+

PROS: staff was amazing, food was good, spacious and clean, prices were decent, many TVs, and most food came out fast CONS: the portions were small and my pizza took forever to come out when other meals came out fast OVERALL: I will absolutely come back to this restaurant, but I wouldn't go on an empty stomach and I'm not gonna get the pizza

Best bar/restaurant where the food, drinks, and ambiance are all top notch. Great spot to watch a game or just hang out with friends. It's consistent and the service is typically great. I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all good - the pizzas, the Caesar, onion rings, the crispy potatoes, yum.

I have a rule: If you're selling a Modelo draft for $8 dollars, you're not getting a 5-star. Local Public Eatery caters to the "public" of Highland Park and Southern Methodist sorority girls. The cheapest thing on the menu is the $18 chicken sandwich, cocktails start at $16, and the server upsold me ranch by... lying?? "Do you want ranch on the side?" she asked, not telling me it'd be $3 dollar "truffle ranch" when Ranch = Hidden Valley in 99% of America. The food and service was otherwise decent but there's nothing I dislike more than greedy restaurants that take advantage of SMU kids' Dad's wallets at the expense of normal folk (Looking at you too Javier's). Next time I want basic American food I'll go to a basic American place, perhaps where Modelo drafts are priced at an appropriate $5.

Excellent service - Brandy was so sweet and totally on it without being obtrusive. The food, not so much. EVERYTHING was WAY overly salted. The Regular Pizza was covered with a thick coating of oil (olive???). It was awful. The fully loaded baked potato appie wasn't my gig, but my friend really liked them. The shrimp dumplings were okay, but honestly Trader Joe's dumplings are far better, and the sauce they were served in was a giant sodium bath. We didn't have any alcoholic beverages (it was a work night)...however the list looked good.

This place is very popular, especially on a weekend evening! The wait time was long, but my friends and I were able to find seats at the bar. We ordered the Fully Loaded Crispy Potatoes (Parmesan horseradish aioli, bacon, jalapeños, shaved grana padano), which was flavorful. We arrived late enough for their happy night special, so we also shared two pizzas for $25: the Mortazza (Bechamel sauce, smoked mozzarella, fennel sausage, mortadella, pistachios, drizzled with honey and olive oil) and the Carnivore (Tomato sauce, spianata salami, bacon, fennel sausage and mozzarella). I tried the Pink Spritz (Absolut raspberri vodka, watermelon, guava, lime, soda, rosé, sparkling wine and cucumber), but it was pretty diluted and didn't taste like much. Service took a while since there were so many people, but they were friendly.

On the way to the porch, we saw the LPE and stopped there for lunch instead. We ordered two local burgers with the double patty. Substituted cheddar cheese and had the side Caesar salad instead of fries. That was a nice substitute at no extra charge. The patties were made with quality meat. Only disappointment was the patties were small and didn't fill out the bun. The room was loud but bearable. Had large screen TVs for sports viewing and a nice bar area.

LPE is such a great add to Henderson. Perfect place to chill and enjoy your time. Big patio and also a nice space indoors. The servers are always so kind and accommodating!! They are also super attentive and good about checking back in regularly. The food is surprisingly good!! Not your average bar food. I wish they had a few more snacky foods but the menu is great!! Thanks Lia and the other staff, can't wait to come back!

I was very impressed by the ambiance and dining experience at this new bar! I had passed by many times and decided to come in one day for lunch. I am vegetarian and there were many options for me. I ordered the couscous salad and was shocked by how good it was! Since it is a bar, I had low expectations for the food but this definitely exceeded it! This is a great place to hang out with friends, get a meal, or just grab a drink. I will definitely be coming back for Happy Hour!

Decided to try this place for brunch. Restaurant is huge with a lot of screens so it a perfect spot to watch your favorite team play and have good food and cocktails inside or on the patio. I ordered fully loaded crispy potato, fried chicken ramen and pepperoni supremo. Everything was good except the chicken. It barely had any meat, covering was hard and meat was over fried which made it really chewy but the miso soup, noodles and charred corn combination was really good so giving that dish 2.5/5. Pizza and loaded potatoes were 5/5 and would highly recommend ordering. I did not order any drinks but my friends did and they really liked them all. Service was good as well.

Max and Mason were some of the best bartenders in the city! Great food! Great drinks! Great service! Great ambiance! Great everything!

Pretty nice patio that does have some heaters (although we could not feel the heater at all from where we were sitting). Both the drinks and the food were good. Their drink menu is pretty extensive which is super nice. Valet is $7 which you kinda have to do unless you are lucky enough to find street parking.

Had a great first experience here! Everyone on staff was extremely friendly from the moment we walked in. Overall atmosphere and service were great!! Managers and team were all going out of their way to make sure everyone was having a great experience. Food and drinks were amazing and came out in a timely manner even though they were quite packed. Tips parking is crowded so park Valet or find a spot in the neighborhood but it's probably best to Uber there!

Lia and Ally were terrific and gave great service. Would definitely come back just to visit them!

Food is decent but the protein portion is tiny. Music is loud if that's your vibe. Service was good and friendly.

My second time at this restaurant and O honestly cant rave about it enough. The Trout dip and spicy guava margaritas are my all time favorite. Our server Heidi was extremely attentive , friendly, and accommodating to our requests. 10/10

Came by on a Saturday right before noon without a reservation. Took about 10 min or so to get seated, not bad. Atmosphere and vibe is great. We sat on patio and weather was great. I would say the food is nothing special. I would come back for drinks and because the atmosphere is fun. If I was only looking for something tasty, I think I would go elsewhere. Maybe I'll try a pizza or burger next time. Service was great at first but became super slow at the end. To be fair, the server was pretty busy. Maybe they get more tables than they can handle. Trying to get the check or close out took about 15 minutes. Fish tacos- not bad but not the best I've had. Fish is on the smaller side, it's also not crunchy compared to other places. If I was just seeking out fish tacos then I would go elsewhere. Other than that, if I ended up here then I wouldn't mind ordering it again. Poke bowl- not that great. Probably should order their other menu items instead.

Back to this consistently delicious place for a great happy hour. Beer $4, Smoked trout spread with house made chips $ 11 and a burger to split. Service here is always so attentive. I like the fact I can always have a dog friendly patio on Henderson where service is cordial. This place is an ongoing winner. You will like it!

Your new favorite spot! I got a chance to preview Local Public Eatery before it opens on September 26, and trust me when I say, you'll love it! Starting from the moment you walk in, it feels like a brewery with eclectic decor, multiple TVs, and bar in the center. The staff is very welcoming and friendly with everything from greeting to recommendations and everything in between! For drinks, I tried the Spicy Guava Marg, Aperol Crush, and peaches and Beam slush. The spicy Guava marg was well balanced and tasted fresh as opposed to that sweet & sour flavor that most margs have. The aperol crush was good; however, I will say that it is sweeter than a traditional aperol spritz so if you prefer a more earthy/floral flavor it may not be the one for you. Lastly, the peaches and Beam slush was so good that I could've drank it straight from the blender as the peach flavor was tastefully balanced with the richness of the Jim Beam. For food, we tried the spicy garlic edamame, truffle burger with fries, and fish tacos with house salad. The spicy garlic edamame only had a slight bit of heat but was well complimented with the sweet notes in the sauce. The fish tacos had flavorful and well battered fish and crunchy slaw. My only note would be that a vinaigrette or more sauce would've taken it to the next level, but the house side salad was PERFECT! The dressing is similar to a sweet poppyseed vinaigrette and is similar to something you would get at a nice sandwich shop with lots of vegetables! Now for the star of the show: the truffle burger! I was catching up with a friend while there and up until the point of having the burger, you could not get us to stop gabbing back and forth, but that burger had us at a loss for words. It was juicy, flavorful, slightly Smokey, and earthy all between 2 fluffy fresh buns! This is truly a staple restaurant that the Henderson neighborhood needed and I can't wait to watch them grow!

The atmosphere was really nice. I love the vibes and the music. Our waiter was extremely helpful and nice. The food wasn't the best, but I would definitely come here to chill and vibe.

Came here for lunch & thought it would be average, but wow did they rock my world. I ordered the edamame for an appetizer & appreciate the amount of flavor and spice it had. I feel like edamame can be bland, but LPE does it well! I ordered the Hueves Rancheros for my entree & woah! It was absolutely delicious & the perfect size. My friend had the Truffle Burger and couldn't stop raving about how good it was too. The restaurant has giant garage doors to let fresh air flow through & plenty of tvs to watch your favorite sports. I would definitely recommend! They also have a lunch special which is an entree + alcoholic drink for $20 - great deal!

A frequent in my book. I've eaten here 3 separate occasions, once when the restaurant recently opened and the wait was crazy. Fortunately the hype has gone down some so it's not super crazy. Hidden gem when it comes to drinks as they do regular happy hour and late night happy hour past 9. And discounts when the local teams (Mavs, Cowboys and Stars) are playing. Featuring group drinks such as carafes and beer towers. Really good place to start and get the night going and hop the the other bars down the road. As for the food, the crispy potato appetizer is a must! As well as the fish taco. It was juicy and flavorful. Decided to get the poke bowl and for an American restaurant it was actually pretty good!

So far I have come here for brunch and for happy hour! They have a killer happy hour. The menu is really big so it can be a little overwhelming, but I'm convinced you can't go wrong with any of it. My only bone to pick with them is that they don't offer regular ranch and they don't have ice water. The patio is great and everyone who works there is really nice. Gotta say I really hate they only use valet on Sundays when they have a huge parking lot. And $10?? That's a bit much for a casual patio restaurant. Take some advice from pretty much any other restaurant in Dallas and do complimentary valet.

Came for brunch. Wasn't that impressed with the brunch menu even though the regular menu was available as well. I just really wanted breakfast food at that time. I got the brunch hash and was disappointed. The meat was good but the potatoes were very salty. I did enjoy the cocktail. The ambiance gave a sports bar vibe. Nice outdoor patio.

First time trying LPE for Sunday brunch, and can confidently say I will be returning. Food was great! Angie was our server, and she was the best! She was so kind, attentive, & everything came out super fast. We will definitely be returning & requesting Angie each time!

The food was delicious. Absolutely fantastic, I was the first person in our group to finish eating because it was some of the best steak I've ever had and I had never thought to combine steak with dumplings, gochujang, and gingery soy sauce. Huge fan of this dish. I saw that it had never been reviewed so wanted everyone to know, it is totally worth the price. Server was excellent. She handled my food allergy very well. Drinks were great and whoever answered the phone when I called before was also fantastic. Highly recommend the place. Very cool vibes and decoration. We liked the place and were surprised they turned the old tap house into something so nice, clean, and updated, with a fantastic kitchen and serving staff. Highly recommend.

We recently moved to the Henderson area and checking out LPE was at the top of our list, duh! We decided to go for lunch on Saturday afternoon and took our pup with us, so we sat in the patio. The patio was lively, lots of folks watching college football and enjoying their Saturday with friends. We ordered the spicy chicken quesadilla and the mushroom pizza with truffle ranch. The quesadilla was so good, we thoroughly enjoyed the filling. It was tasty and perfectly crispy. The pizza was tasty, we appreciated the pesto and unique nature of the mushroom pizza, but felt it was too floppy/thin for its own good. Love a good thin pizza, but this one was breaking before we could even lift or fold it in half. The truffle ranch was very flavorful and truffle forward, but a bit salty for my liking. The service was great, she was attentive and friendly. Excited to go back to try more of the menu!

Great place! Great food! Great service! We go at least once a week. This weekend we reserved a spot for a large party. Tatum was wonderful and she was flexible with our group. Heidi was great too! She has been our server a few times and always the best! Thank y'all so much! Spicy guava marg is my personal favorite. The tacos or pizza are a great choice for food too!

Absolutely love this spot! I have literally come here weekly since it opened and I've loved every meal I've ever gotten here. Josh is always so welcoming and makes sure we have everything we need. 10/10 recommend- only complaint is that service always takes awhile. Gorgeous atmosphere always playing good games also!

This place is really cool, large outdoor seating area and a good interior update from the old Henderson tap house! The pizza we got was very good! However, they were out of the wines I kept trying to order. Overall I would come back, would love to try the other items on the menu!

Service was really attentive...I got the feeling that staff hasn't tasted the menu because our waitress had a hard time recommending anything on the menu. My husband and I ordered the potato appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. A definite update to potato skins. My salad was very tasty. Unfortunately my husband ordered the blackened chicken sandwich and wasn't super impressed. Another thing is make sure you have money for the valet.

I've been to Local Public Eatery Henderson twice--surprisingly. The first visit didn't go well at all. My friend and I were added to the waitlist for a table for two, but we never received a text, a call, anything. After nearly two hours of waiting and checking in, the hostess (who was unfortunately quite rude and dismissive) told us to go elsewhere for a drink and food. It felt like we were being shrugged off--really disappointing, especially since we were genuinely excited to try the place. Fast forward to my second visit--against my better judgment, we gave it another shot. This time, we went during a weekday lunch and were seated quickly. We ordered two local wheat beers and chicken kale salads. The vibe was great--airy, relaxed, and welcoming, and our server was kind and attentive. But despite the calm lunch crowd (we were one of only four tables), the food took forever to arrive. For salads. At a nearly empty restaurant. I'm torn. There's a lot of potential here--the ambiance is spot on, and our second server was lovely--but the hospitality is hit or miss, and that first experience with the hostess left a lasting impression. It wouldn't have taken much to offer a simple update or apology, instead of radio silence and attitude. I might give it one more try, but I'm definitely cautious. When it comes to customer service, a little effort goes a long way--and I hope they start showing it.

We went on the second day it was open... very well run so far. So many tables for big groups. There was shuffle board inside. Service was great. Staff was very friendly, including the host. Cocktails were very tasty and original. Pizza wasn't the best I've had but it was ok.

Came here for happy hour with some friends on a Wednesday. Super cute vibe both inside and out! We sat outside. I got the happy hour beef tacos and peach rum slush. No complaints about either, both very delicious and a great deal with the happy hour special! The tacos alone are not a full meal but totally fine as a snack with drinks. Our service was so nice and willing to get a new drink for a friend who didn't like what she ordered. My only warning/complaint is that most of the large parking lot is sectioned off for $7 valet so it can be hard to park for free. There are only about 15 free self parking spots available and most were already full at 3pm on a Wednesday so it's probably even more difficult at peak hours. Would definitely come again for happy hour or to watch a game!

Large screen with beers on tap. The crowd did not slow down after happy hour-more came-you can reserve ahead on the app-join the club. Seating Bar, large tables, booths, outside/inside seating Service It was openings day so we were greeted with a shot glass of rose! Luis was AMAZING! The place was so busy but the staff really kept up Menu So many choices! Great happy hour menu! There is a timer letting you know how much time is left. Great brunch menu! We had the fish tacos-fantastic! Creamy sauce and fried fish with pico and slaw. We had the cole slaw instead of fries-terrific! Chopped and seasoned perfectly. The pico on top of the tacos was beautiful. My husband said they were the best ever! The happy Dad's seltzer comes in a large can as opposed to the smaller seltzer cans-loved the fruit punch! The peaches and beam slush is AWESOME!!! Summary Fantastic new high energy sports bar with rock n roll music. Great menu and food. Easy parking. We will see you there!

Tried out this new spot & enjoyed the food and drinks. It was busy for a Monday evening. We anticipated the food service may take a long time after reading previous reviews but we received our food and drinks quickly. We ordered a burger with some modifications but it came out without the changes. The wait staff was quick to take it back and comped us for the mistake. Since the restaurant is new, there weren't a lot of pics on yelp so I was nervous to try the chicken sandwich. It seems like every place these days has a fried chicken sandwich but this one was really good (& spicy). It was also nice that this spot has a designated set of non-alcoholic drinks on the menu (although some of the mocktails seemed a bit overpriced). If you're looking for an upbeat spot to watch a game, this is a good pick for you.

I was here in the first three days of opening, and the vibes are great for an addition to Henderson. The wait staff and management is very attentive and nice, but they're still working through some opening kinks. I'll expect them to be great after that. We went during happy hour and the mini-tiny espresso is basically an espresso shot (delish) for $7. There are a few great cocktails for HH - highly recommend the Casanova's Guava spicy margarita. I haven't eaten here yet but the pizzas looked good! I was hoping for more of an Ice House feel but it's a little more upscale than that. Still, lots of screens for football season and dog friendly!

I'm not usually one to leave reviews but I had an incredible experience thanks to my bartender Mason. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and really knew how to make everyone feel welcome. The drinks were perfectly balanced and you could tell he truly takes pride in his craft. He kept the atmosphere fun and engaging while staying professional and efficient, even when things got busy. Easily one of the best bartending experiences I've had, and I'll definitely be coming back because of him!

Pretty great new spot where Henderson Tap House used to be. Very open and welcoming interior. The food was fantastic. Great burgers. The OG is the best. The spicy guava marg is great too. The bartender/manager was super friendly and had great suggestions. Great for Work Happy Hour or Work Lunch. Will be back to try more food on the menu. The burger was fantastic tho.

The loaded potatoes were delicious and elevated. This was a unique dish! The ramen was yummily hot and savory; as an Asian I judge noodles by temperature and spice. The fried chicken that accompanied it as the protein was super crispy...almost too crispy, but my husband thought it was perfect. His burger and fries looked delicious, and I hope to get a bite next time! The service was exceptional and professional! Great spot for a Sunday brunch!

New bar , great vibes..Came in to a busy TX vs OU wkend and the brunch was on point . Steak and eggs , aperol spritz and the Mar-tiny shot is a MUST! Our bartender was Laura and the server Angie 10/10!! Coming back for Sunday football.

Our favorite new spot in Dallas!! Food and atmosphere are unmatched. Service was great despite them being slammed, we loved our bartender. Cocktails were great with some NA options, as well as espresso martinis on tap (quality still remains even on tap). We had the pork tacos, fish tacos, and the Couscous salad. Everything was incredible, had so much more flavor than your typical Dallas restaurant. Get the fish tacos with the Valentina's hot sauce, that makes it!!

Overpriced food, can tell they deep fry far too much and use very little ingredients. They also serve poor excuses for Mexican food, horrible tacos. The drinks are also overpriced, the bar is completely understaffed. The vibe is extremely basic, your average overpriced, bland, misogynistic (tight clothes for servers who are only female), run of the mill gastropub that has zero personality whatsoever. You can tell the staff is very much overworked through their window. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless I wanted them to waste their money or if they were a bland frat guy with less personality than a plank of wood. 0/10. What happened to having character in the restaurant industry. Might as well replace the whole place with a giant pink neon sign saying "Alright, Alright, Alright" on it. Very corporate. Very gray, even with your wood-industrial "aesthetic".
