It's so great to discover a healthy, delicious and beautiful vibe restaurant in the Bay Area. I really enjoyed the bright, surrounded by the greenery plants and the natural light that shines in. The food was great, and they're mostly from local farmers. Lots of healthy options you can substitute and good portions (I had the omelette and it was is enough to feed two). The service is also great, our waitress not only was sweet but also very tentative. Definitely will come back soon to try out other items on the menus. Please park in the garage on Bryant Street if you can't find street parking.

Best Place for Dining and Hosting Events – Highly Recommend Local Union 271! We hosted our wedding welcome dinner at Local Union 271, and it was a fantastic experience. Everyone raved about the food, especially the tacos and brownies, which were absolutely incredible. The staff was amazing to work with—extremely kind, encouraging, and collaborative. They even let us stay past our reservation to ensure no one felt rushed or limited on time. Cannot say enough about the quality of both the food and the people at Local Union 271!

Google
Favorite place in the South Bay: they source local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients and are offering very inclusive options for those who are plant based and gluten free. The taste of the curry that I had was amazing, flavorful, and creamy, the rice was cooked to perfection. Sitting outside next to the heaters is sweet, just wasn’t a fan of the loud music but all else is 5 stars! Oh and another highlight is that they just use a I ado and olive oil, no unhealthy seed oils.

I enjoyed atmosphere there a lot, we took two Burgers and they were delicious🥰 The service was excellent! Very cozy atmosphere in the evening with all the lights around. I really liked that they care about the quality of food ingredients, it’s so rare for restaurants. Thank you guys! ❤️

Google
Super adorable atmosphere, cute decorations, and tableware. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful, so so nice! Really yummy food, I got the poke bowl and it was amazing. They have a wide variety of cocktails and mocktails, and lots of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan, options. Lots of brassicas and veggies, all around delicious. I wish I could give it more stars!!

The spirit of Local Union 271 is great. High ceilings, natural lights, modern yet cozy decor, with an open kitchen and bar. It almost gives you a mediterranean feel. They kept the layout of the previous brunch place - Union Cafe (?) - but completely upgraded the interior. Great job here. The menu is also straight forward. American comfort brunch and cafe cuisine, presented in a visually pleasant and upscale manner. Local Union 271 thus should be pretty awesome for a date-brunch or for lunch meetings. It's almost a sure bet. There are a few downfalls however. First, the tables are just crammed in. It almost feels like a communal dining hall rather than a luxurious getaway. And everyone has to speak loud due to the natural echo of the open space. Please remove one column of tables and that'd do wonders. We were practically shouldering the folks from the next table and could not have a conversation. Second, the food. Yes, they are presented wonderfully. But when you serve tuna ahi poke, you simply cannot compromise on the freshness of the fish as well as get the sauce balance off. Ahi poke on top of greens is something that is difficult to mess up. Yet, past the presentation, I had mediocre tuna with off-balance sauce. The wasabi paste was really mellow and nice but just too little of it. Local Union 271 has so much potential. And they really do seem to be trying. Ease up the table density, make sure to better tune your food, and I think there's a hit lined up. As of this writing though, not worth the price.

Google
Food was excellent. Service was slow and they gave away our reservation to someone else. Would recommend if you're not there during a busy time.

Google
The menu has some fun and interesting items on it. The food was OK, but nothing amazing. The service was incredibly slow. And if you have asthma or are sensitive to fragrances, DO NOT use the bathroom! There is an air freshener in there mounted on the wall that could choke you to death. Overwhelmingly strong. Also, the chairs are very uncomfortable.

Yelp
Good food and service was amazing. The hostess Lillie was so wonderful and was super kind to me and my family.

Yelp
Alejandro was excellent, he is very friendly and attentive! Always checking on our table.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, decent food. Came here for Sunday brunch and had the 3 item scramble with caramelized onions, Swiss, and chicken (wish there was an option for mushrooms!). I could barely taste the cheese, but it came with a good amount of chicken and onions, and the overall execution was fine though a little bland. The bread on the side was also quite dry on its own, and could have used some spread or come crisp/better toasted to more easily eat with the eggs --- although looking at the menu now, they may have forgotten to give me butter and jam? That said, priced were standard for brunch (especially compared to some of their dinner offerings), and it's a nice spot to meet up with friends.

Shaguna W.

Yelp
$$-$$$ pricey for some of the food but flavors are on point. Service was friendly and attentive. Indoor is a bit crowded with tables close together. Makes conversations difficult I like the outdoor seating better. Steaks are good here as well as the chicken.

Yelp
Found this place walking around Downtown Palo Alto with my friend after a workout so we were definitely hungry. What drew us in was the decor of the interior followed by the menu posted outside. Going inside the host greeted us and was able to get us a table outside in 5 minutes. We took a while deciding if we wanted a drink or not before settling to have the 1 hour bottomless mimosas. Our server was great at checking in on us to make sure we got in as many rounds as we wanted. We didn't need that many though! My friend and I couldn't decide what we wanted so we got the chorizo Benedict and duck fat 271 burger to split. I was actually impressed by the chorizo benedict as I've never had one and the use of the Kelly bakery rustic bread was actually delicious. The duck fat burger was also delicious but I can't stop thinking about the chorizo benedict as I write this review.

Yelp
Service and food were great! We dined outside on a beautiful day, and the server was cheery and efficient. I couldn't decide on a bowl, and she suggested the Warm Fall Buddha bowl. It was a delicious combo of butternut squash, avocado, asparagus, edamame, cauliflower, and garbanzos. Pickled red onion and turmeric added color and flavor! I was missing a bit of spiciness, so she brought a mild/hot sauce that added just the right amount of zing for me. Hubby had the Warm Vegan Lemongrass Curry and thoroughly enjoyed it! He loved the fresh, local veggies and the curry flavor. We shared a carafe of chardonnay to top it off. Lovely meal!

Yelp
Since we had our dog with us, we needed a place that has outside seating and came across Local Union 271. The menu seems good so we decided to give it a try. Staff was very nice and accommodating, even brought out a water bowl for our furry friend. We sat by the door because we wanted more space for the dog and our server checked to make sure the music wasn't too loud. I really appreciated how accommodating the menu is. They state that they only use avocado or olive oil in their food for those who would like to avoid seed oil. They also have a section for gluten free if that's what you're looking for. My bf picked the duck fat burger. Very juicy and delicious. Came with potatoes. I got the shaken beef and rice and eggs. The flavor was good but I felt the sauce was a bit too saucy and salty. Overall a nice lunch date. I would opt for their burger though, that's what they're known for.

Yelp
I loved this place!! It was such a cute, chill, and festive place to celebrate birthday with friends. They were just beginning to set up the holiday decorations so it was cool to suddenly see inflated holiday bear and other decorations pop into place haha. I love that their food and menu is farm-to-table, have many gf options, and they use quality oil than cheap frying oil! I'm not sure on the specifics, but I get an allergic reaction to 'cheap frying oil' used at fast-food or budget restaurants, and I didn't get that here! The food here isn't greasy or salty either, but fresh. Local Bee Sting Flatbread (+ glass of wine) I think this is the best HH deal and it was so delicious. It comes with hot honey which is a great combo. We got it with gf crust and it was fresh, hot, and yummy! Good one to share. Tumeric Roasted Cauliflower Also a happy hour deal! Flavor is great and cauliflower was tender. Grilled Halibut Big fish portion! Very tender and soft. The mango salsa was quite fun! Vodka Pasta We got GF pasta and the texture was still good! This was popular among our friends. Happy Boy Fall Salad Their fall special had pears, tomatoes, cheese, brussel sprouts, feta - I was looking forward to this most, and it was so fresh. Love the variety of ingredients. All the food was delicious. With a wide menu, it's so hard to pick! Also what restaurant gives me TWO cakes for my birthday? We got bread pudding & brownie, with strawberries and cream. So good and fun to share. Thank you Local Union 271 team!!

Yelp
Came here on a Monday night at around 5pm for a group dinner. We had a reservation, but the surrounding tables were all full, as well as the bar. We were able to park about a block away at a free public parking lot. The restaurant has high ceilings and has a rustic, farmhouse vibe. The ambiance was bustling, but nothing super notable. We ordered the margherita flatbread, cheesy garlic bread, chicken verde tacos, ahi poke tacos, burrata & dry farmed tomatoes, and sliders. We also got the serve-yourself margarita display, with cups of fruit, salt, and a large pitcher. The presentation of the food was pretty ordinary, but it was fresh and delicious. All dishes are very shareable for a group of 5. The top hits of the night were the tacos, burrata & tomatoes, and garlic bread. We would probably pass on the sliders next time, as a couple people mentioned the lack of flavor. Overall, I had a positive experience at Local Union 271. I would recommend it if you're in the area looking for somewhere to eat. Would love to come back to try their brunch menu, especially the eggs benedict!

Yelp
Hubby and I had lunch today at Local union 271 PA downtown. We absolutely enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. lunch special chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread. (5/5) : Oh this was so delicious, extremely filling, juicy thick well cooked chicken breast inside a warm bread, lettuce, tomato, mayo and dressing. Loved this. Served with crispy well seasoned house potatoes ( russet and sweet) served with a ranch style dip. Lunch special entree: (3/5) sustainable salmon tacos served with salsa, slaw and avocado. This dish was ok. Salmon lacked seasoning. Service is quick. Our waitress was very communicative and prompt. We enjoyed our weekday lunch date. Will visit again for sure.

Yelp
This is an amazing local restaurant in downtown Palo Alto that offers delicious food, unbeatable ambiance and an overall lovely dining experience. I came here for a lunch on a Sunday and was happy to see that they still offered breakfast items as well as lunch items. I am the type of person who could eat breakfast for every meal, so naturally I ordered the avocado toast. I thought the presentation was unique and beautiful with three pieces of toast topped with veggies, scrambled eggs, and of course, avocado. What really stood out to me was the wonderful lemon essence in every bite as well as the tender bread. They offer many breakfast items including eggs Benedict and more traditional breakfast items. I also noticed how delicious their soup looked- butternut squash and tomato. I only wished that they offered a dairy free butternut squash soup! All of the ingredients are fresh, high quality and you can taste the difference in every bite. The drink menu is also extensive and I really enjoyed a smooth dry rosé with lunch. The inside is very beautiful with a big open space, full of natural light, wooden tables and cute Halloween decorations. I couldn't resist sitting outside in such a beautiful day which offers beautiful ambiance as well and prime people watching opportunities. I'd highly recommend local union 271 for a nice breakfast or lunch.

Yelp
Tried this for the first time last month and was excited because the outdoors area was so cute sitting on university Ave. However pretty disappointed in the overall experience. They were busy , but not super busy because we were able to get seated as soon as we got there. But they were out of menus. So we had to wait for a menu. The waiter was really nice , but our order got mixed up and we got the wrong sides when our food did come out. It also took a long time for our drinks to come out and the food also took longer than usual, so we weren't too happy that we had to wait again due to the mistake. Also I had wanted a salad instead of fries and pretty much most of the salad was not fresh. The entree's itself were not bad . We had a burger and a sandwich. The fries were so salty - we only had a few. Wished it was better since I was planning to bring my parents here.

Yelp
We came two days in a row because of the yummy food and amazing service from Maritza! definitely recommend!

Yelp
Salad was filling and very tasty ! Highly recommend "Happy Boys Winter Salad" . The Honey almond was superb . Butternut squash soup was tasty!. Service was spot on Ambience was really cool I didn't enjoy the chicken wings

Yelp
Great brunch spot with healthy and creative menu. Love the skewers of melon! PS the freshly squeezed orange juice is spot on!

Yelp
Seat me outside, HOW BOUT THAT! I stepped out of my Uber wearing pink Balenciaga slides I was strictly criticized and was instantly dragged into the VANS store and just like that I had my Cinderella moment when the 6.5 all white vans slipped onto my food seamlessly. My first time dining at the Local Union in my new glass slippers we were sat all the way down the patio dining area which I liked as it gave us a little more privacy since there were less parties seated where we were which was so perfect so we could talk out Sh*it and not worry about if someone else was to hear the conversation. I really enjoy the beautiful upscale ambiance that this place screamed I enjoyed my Mac n cheese and a cocktail while I pretend to listen to the person sitting across from me. I kept stuffing my face so the only responses I would have to give would be, "oh mhm" and, "ahhhh" with a bit of a head nod. Whatever this place did to this dish of Mac n cheese, but they for sure got it right and I still think about it time to time. I think the food here is pretty good overall but I felt like they lacked creativity variety for their cocktail menu. If you were In the area I would def definitely say that you should give this place a try (which means a lot coming from me).

Yelp
I wanted to try this place so bad I had to stop. Clay and Carlos were wonderful and helping me decide on what to eat. I started with banana pancakes, friends with Benedict and. The hangover these are breakfast meals all of them delicious my food came out hot and fast. The atmosphere is wonderful and wonderful staff.i will be coming back ...

Yelp
This is one of my family's favorite brunch spots on University Avenue! We made a reservation for right when they opened and were seated right away. We love sitting outside, especially in the summer. To start I had an almond milk iced latte and one of their summer special drinks; it's a strawberry slushy with vodka and bubbly! Very refreshing especially on a hot day. My parents had a tropical sour ale and Chardonnay. We shared the bacon and deviled egg sampler to start. It was really delicious, we all especially loved the bread. We chose to have sriracha aioli as the side condiment with ours (there were 2 other options to choose from). We did have a little trouble differentiating two of the three different bacons, but they were still tasty. Around the table for entrees, we had two different "create your own omelettes," the vegetarian huevos rancheros, and the smoked salmon avocado toast. Everything was delicious! The potatoes served on the side received a lot of compliments from the table. I had the avocado toast and really enjoyed it, though it was a little tricky to cut through, but the salmon may have contributed to that, too.

Yelp
Solid 3.5 stars Came here for a work lunch with a team. The menu seemed pretty diversified with tacos, burgers and some Asian flare. We ordered deviled egg + brussel sprouts for appetizers. The deviled egg had a hint of wasabi, and was quite delicious. The brussel sprouts were quite good as well, topped with a sweet dressing. I got myself a burger, and salad on the side. Side. Plate was pretty big, and the Patty was done just right. Having that sad, it was nothing too special, and the price tag of 24 seemed a little high. Overall, pretty decent place for drinks and lunch. Under the condition that is not your own money.

Amelia C.

Yelp
This place is excellent. It's so strange to me that it doesn't have at least four or above. The interior is light and airy and fresh. The cocktails are well balanced. My boyfriend and I eat here regularly when we just want to have a really good meal - it's not fancy but it's not casual either. We usually order the burger, mac n cheese, and cauliflower or Brussels and split everything. Blackberry mule for him, Cosmo for me. Our meals are always hot, fresh, and appropriately seasoned. The staff is attentive, even if you do have to wave them down when it's busy. This is the kind of local joint every well lived neighborhood should have.

Yelp
We came here for my friend's birthday dinner. The space is nice and I liked the high ceilings. Service was kind and our waitress was attentive. So on to the food. My fiancee and I shared the mac and cheese and the local flatbread. We didn't realize what we had said yes to when our server asked if we wanted gouda cheese in the mac and cheese as we didn't see that option on the menu and the cost it entailed. It was an extra 8 bucks for gouda to be added into the mac and cheese. Eh. Not the worst mistake we've made but eh. Oh well. Ok so uh the food. The flat bread was ok. It was the Local Bee Sting. They served it with hot honey drizzled on top and a variety of meat. Definitely shareable, but you won't be full. The flavor was just ok? Nothing memorable. It was lukewarm. Kinda small for the price too. The mac and cheese was also just ok. I didn't realize the gouda was even in there but I really can't tell the difference in cheeses if I were to be completely honest. Still, it was ok mac and cheese. Kind of pricey for the portion and what it is. I think the total of the mac and cheese w/ gouda came out to over $20 and it's just mac and cheese. Nothing else. Apparently they put truffle oil in there? Idk. It tasted like normal mac and cheese to us. It was a very ok experience. Nice interior design though. I probably won't come back.

Yelp
Still one of my favorite restaurants in Palo Alto with the best bartender-- Carlos!! Updating my review to mention their new "Gratitude Hours"-- daily in the bar 11-6 and sat&sun 10-3. Love coming here for Saturday lunch and getting the best deals on drinks and food with this new "happy hour". Carlos makes the best local Heat Wave margarita -- they also have a great deal on pitchers :)

Alyssa H.

Yelp
Everything tastes farm to table. The vibes are very earthy and clean. Loved the arugula honey and prosciutto flatbread, and their carbonara is surprisingly good considering it's not just an Italian place. Also highly recommend the salmon tacos!

Catherine C.

Yelp
Great service. Love their outdoor park let. I had the flatbread and glass of wine happy hour special.had a Pinot which was delicious. The flatbread pizza was big, enough for 2 really and tasted great. On happy hour $13. Fantastic deal!!!! They're known for their burgers too. Highly recommend

Cindy L.

Yelp
Tasty brunch spot. Hip decor, lots of outside seating. Waffles are gluten free but still pretty good.

Joey T.

Yelp
Food and vibes were great! Our waitress Mariah was super sweet and paid attention to detail! She was so nice and made sure we were good during our whole time of dinning

Claire S.

Yelp
This was our second visit to Local Union 271, this time for Mother's Day dinner. We chose to sit outside and started with the burrata, which we shared along with our drinks--always a favorite. I appreciate how the menu details the local sourcing of ingredients. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the food is amazing, offering options for everyone. The location is perfect, nestled on a charming street in Palo Alto that's great for a post-dinner stroll, shopping, and people-watching.

Arsh V.

Yelp
We just recently hosted a going away brunch for all our friends. From planning to execution, Nur the manager made it very straight forward and took care of everything. He was very responsive and open to make changes to their family style menu and accommodated all our needs. The day of the event, the tables were all reserved and Nur had little personalized menus of the food and drinks on our tables. Carlos was our waiter and he was just as attentive and took care of all the drink orders and ensured that everything went smoothly. I'd definitely recommend this place for hosting big groups. I unfortunately didn't take too many pictures at the restaurant except for the menus printed out.

Ifechi I.

Yelp
I came here with a friend for an impromptu dinner, and we both enjoyed our experience! It was a bit chilly inside because the front door was kept open; I think we would have enjoyed our time even more with more heating. I love that everything is farm-to-table and seasonal. Here's what we got: Honey Roasted Brussel Sprouts: a sizeable portion of sprouts covered in hot honey and sprinkled with walnuts, this was a solid starter. Would have loved a little less honey on the brussels to maintain their crisp a bit better. Ricotta Caccio e Pepe: my friend ordered this but it ended up being kind of dry, which was unfortunate. She added chicken and liked that, though! I hope that they can improve this dish in the future because the description sounds super scrumptious. Grass-Fed Meatloaf: I ordered this and it was a hearty and tasty main! The meatloaf was savory and super tender -- like I barely had to press with the side of my fork to cut off a piece. The vegetables were really tasty! They were perfectly steamed, neither mushy nor snappy, and they had a great savory flavor. The server was very kind about my request to swap the mash for their regular potato side, and they were great. I mean, potatoes are potatoes! Bread Pudding: this was the BOMB.COM!!! I'd been trying to find a good bread pudding for nearly 2 years and nothing really did it for me! But this DID!!!! I was so happy about it!!! First, the portion was incredible. I'm usually not a fan of splitting desserts because I want the whole thing, but there was no way I could eat the bread pudding after my main meal. Second, the texture!!!! BEAUTIFUL!! The perfect blend of custardy and bready, it was amazing. And finally, the taste, of course, was great. Sweet but not too sweet. Lots of cinnamon, yum. And the strawberries on top were super fresh! They had run out of whipped cream, but we weren't missing it, though I'm sure the addition would have been extra delicious. If you're able to, please order! I'd recommend Local Union 271 for healthy and hearty eats and especially that bread pudding!

Grace M.

Yelp
This delivered in terms of cool factor with their space and decor. However the food fell flat and the dishes looked promising but ultimately was very okay. Additionally we watched multiple servers come by and failed to bring the correct orders to neighboring tables, perhaps could use more training of the staff. This restaurant has potential but should pare down their menu.

Aubany G.

Yelp
We planned to meet our friends here for a drink before an early dinner nearby. This space is large and can seat quite a bit of people but the lack of patrons was concerning. Perhaps it was the hour, but it was happy hour time, with happy hour specials so I expected more patrons. Service was decent as they seemed to be in a shift change, but the drinks were what stood out and it's what we went for. I had the Spicy Blackberry Margarita and my partner had the Island Fever and both were pretty awesome concoctions. It was a nice place to grab a drink, but the food menu didn't peak my interest as anything special. Great place for a drink though with a very instagramable decor.

Cameron T.

Yelp
A++ Alex was took great care of us, family of 4, came in for happy hour on a Friday and got a great corner table with waters served immediately, drinks order seconds later. Food was hot and delicious. Best HH in Palo Alto!

Amy C.

Yelp
We got seated here on a slow Thursday at 4:00pm and didn't even get water brought out the entire time we waited. We left at 4:30 and came to Crepevine instead. Mind you, there was only two parties of 2 at this restaurant during this time. I get if they're understaffed but we were even offered water which is the bare minimum! So I highly recommend coming to Crepevine instead lol. Much better, faster service and their food is bomb!

Karina S.

Yelp
Located in downtown Palo Alto, super cute interior and exterior and nice ambiance. Went on a Saturday evening so it was fairly crowded, and service was pretty slow due as a result. I enjoyed the roasted chicken with veggies + rice, this is a great spot if you want to eat healthy while eating out. A bit on the pricier side for the portion size, but to be expected for the area this restaurant is in.

Shraddha N.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning and was able to get a table immediately. Super lively vibe with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the hangover eggs (well done) with a vanilla latte. Service and food, both were good.

Lyssa M.

Yelp
Today I went in for a quick lunch outing, i was served by Guadalupe. Food was great and service was even better ! Thank you Guadalupe for the excellent service !! Hope to have you as my server again!

Jaky Y.

Yelp
A convenient spot in downtown Palo Alto for a group or business meal, but by no means is the food exceptional at Local Union 271. We showed up on a weekday during prime lunchtime without a reservation and were seated immediately. Local Union 271 has a decently large indoor space as well as patio seating. Service was friendly and prompt. We ordered a number of dishes and a few drinks, and everything was fine but definitely not the best. Since they have lots of tables, Local Union 271 can be a good spot for a group or work-related meal, as you can sit and chat comfortably without getting rushed out. Their menu is also expansive enough such that most folks should be able to find something to order.

Michele G.

Yelp
Hey there Party People Braved the rain drops to check out Local Union 271 it has a great setup that allows you to appreciate the rustic historic architecture. The only problem with extremely high ceilings is that it tends to amplify the noise level. We sat right down and had no trouble with parking, which is a feat in Palo Alto. The wait staff was very attentive and the food came out quickly as well. Hubby and I started with the Rustic Cheesy Garlic Bread. It was tasty but I have to say that it was not worth the cost. I don't think I would order it again. We moved on to the Roasted Cauliflower. This was a really nice dish with a very pleasant curry flavor it didn't have the kick that I was expecting but it didn't need it. For the main meal I had the "Loco Moco" love myself a good Moco...they did not disappoint. You don't find Loco Moco very often but I would put this one at the top of the list. The gravy was exceptional I just wish there was more of it. The meat was grass fed and super lean, no grease factor here Hubby had the Local 271 burger with a salad. The burger was juicy in all the best ways. The aioli was just garlicky enough without making you unkissable . The unique thing was the Gruyère cheese they used, raised the burger to the next level in richness of taste. On the next visit I will definitely have to try some of the amazing looking brunch options, not to mention their famous Tomato soup. I heard it was a must have...next time Be kind to one another

Dorothy Z.

Yelp
good things: the decor was very vibey and the overall energy felt like an aesthetic sunday brunch will my sister :) service was standard, but i was pretty disappointed in the food. i got the loco moco and for $25 i got a burger patty with an egg on top of hard rice. eggs benedict was alright. and the tres leches pancakes carried the brunch even though they were pretty normal pancakes.

Angie O.

Yelp
Food was great! Vibes were great! Their margaritas certainly did not disappoint. Very attentive staff. Excellent service from Michael, he offered suggestions and was very knowledgable. He ensured we were all well taken care of, made us feel welcomed.

Heidi B.

Yelp
One of my fav PA spots. Been here multiple times and consistent service every time. Always yummy , fresh food. On my last visit my date ordered a Bloody Mary (not my thing!) but he enjoyed it and I ordered a few appetizers. Can't go wrong with their menu offerings! As a nutritionist, I appreciate their transparency in sourcing local ingredients.

Annie A.

Yelp
Alex was amazing! Made our experience special and fun! Good apps and happy hour options too, loved the blackberry mule! Also the holiday decor is so cute !

Yelp
Local Union is an excellent place to come for brunch and drinks (I'm sure it is also amazing for dinner-- I just have never been!)! The service is impeccable (thanks, Alex!) and the recommendations are spot on. I had the BLT with avocado and it was delicious and hit the spot! I also had a few mimosas-- which, given the great variety, I'm going to need to come back to continue tasting (the coconut is A+++). You will not regret popping by Local Union for some food and drinks!

Yelp
Best Place for Dining and Hosting Events - Highly Recommend Local Union 271! We hosted our wedding welcome dinner at Local Union 271, and it was a fantastic experience. Everyone raved about the food, especially the tacos and brownies, which were absolutely incredible. The staff was amazing to work with--extremely kind, encouraging, and collaborative. They even let us stay past our reservation to ensure no one felt rushed or limited on time. Cannot say enough about the quality of both the food and the people at Local Union 271!

Yelp
Had dinner with a coworker here and ordered the apple pie flatbread (which was a shareable flatbread perfect for a table of 2-4 to split as an app). The flatbread was very pleasant the crunchiness and sweetness of the apple paired well with the bread , prosciutto, arugula and balsamic reduction drizzle. It was a nice start to the meal. I opted for the meatloaf as my entree. It's a generous portion which comes with 2 slices of extremely tender meatloaf (I'm assuming braised) in a Bordelaise wine sauce which gives the meat a pleasant flavor. It's served with local roasted vegetables , red mashed potatoes and was a solid comfort food meal. It's a generous portion and I was actually full after eating half so it would be doable to split or just have as leftovers. The service was very prompt and friendly. We were seated immediately after entering. We placed a reservation and decided to sit indoors. The restaurant was full but it didn't feel overly cramped. They have a TV playing at the bar for anyone who may want to come in for some drinks and enjoy a TV and they had a variety of tables and high top tables. They also have outdoor seating with heated lamps. I would describe the interior as being modern but not sterile, there was festive decorations since it's holiday season so it actually felt warm and familiar inside.

Yelp
A delicious spot for brunch and happy hours! Service was great and food was yummy, however prices are somewhat high and I felt like the vegetables were a bit oily/over cooked. The butternut squash soup was light and great for chilly weather, especially when we went during a raining morning - just note that bread costs extra if you want it on the side.
