Stopped in for dinner at this local Italian spot and was pleasantly surprised. The decor has a charming “old Italian modern casual” feel with just a hint of mid-century—think cozy booths, warm lighting, and retro touches that give it character without feeling dated. The menu sticks to the classics, and they do them well. Everything tasted homemade. Server was a little dry. It’s not reinventing Italian cuisine, but that’s part of the appeal. Solid, comforting food in a laid-back setting. Great place to have in the neighborhood.

Google
1st timers, really glad we found this place for brunch....something for everyone. Breakfast sandwich was delicious and served with this amazing dip sauce for the potatoes. Plum tart was just as flavorful as it looks 😋 and the shakerato espresso was impressive 👍 The omelet florentine was filling and could be enough for two people if they wanted to also have something from the bakery like a fresh muffin, tart, or croissant. The almond pancake served with blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries and lemon creme was my favorite 😍

This establishment consistently exceeds expectations; the beverages and cuisine are exceptional. The outdoor seating area provides great sunset views. I frequently order the Fusilli with shrimp, a personal favorite. The whipped gorgonzola and walnut bread, with its sharp, blue cheese-like tang, is an excellent appetizer. Their old fashioned cocktail is flawlessly prepared each time.

Excellent meal... bruchetta, eggplant Parmigiano, fruit tartlet w vanilla ice cream. Perfection! The grounds & landscaping are inviting & romantic, and Oscar, our server, was the BEST. Unfortunately, we were placed in a side dining room where a group of about 12 twenty-somethings (reunion?) were later seated, & were so loud that conversation was impossible. Total sad ending for the lovely dessert & finish to a great anniversary dinner.

Google
The outdoor atmosphere and service was fabulous! Cocktail was decent and my friend had the pizza (her favorite) and a great price! Menu is a bit limited and as I cannot eat garlic or onion had only 2 options (salmon or ravioli). All other meats and dishes are pre-marinated/pre-made and couldn’t be adjusted for dietary restrictions.

Beautiful courtyard space for outdoor dining. The restaurant was busy on a Sunday evening, but the courtyard offers seating to sit and wait and you can order drinks from the bar while you wait. We were seated at a high top in the bar area, which was comfortable. The staff were working hard to keep up with a restaurant that stayed consistently full throughout the time that we were eating. Ella was a wonderful server, attentive and provided great food recommendations. The food was outstanding. We started with the meatballs, olives, and bread and oil. The bread was warm and soft. The main dishes were amply portioned and very affordable, we had the Sfoglia and Tortellini Di Zucca. The tiramisu was an excellent end to the meal, perfectly made and a great dish to share.

Google
Good food and great service! I was actually confused because I was seeing different deserts on google reviews. Not knowing there is a coffee shop connected to it. I was able to get something there and have them bring it to our table. I just asked our waiter and was very nice about it. He wasn't sure if he could do it but didn't tell me no. I asked the food runner about a plate he just served (table beside us) he told me what it was and that it was also his favorite. I ended up ordering the food and enjoyed it. Early january in arizona, so we enjoyed eating outside with our fur kid. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Lots of plusses here. Atmosphere is great. We sat outside on a perfect temp evening. Service was wonderful, and the food was delicious. Can be bit of a wait at word is out there good times happening here. We'll be back.

Yelp
Fabulous local Italian trattoria. Everything is homemade from the focaccia, the lasagna and any of the pastas. The serves and nice and the restaurant is a former home that has been expanded several times. Beautiful wood beams throughout. Come and enjoy a delicious meal.

Yelp
Always a wonderful experience- today was no exception! Wonderful meatball pizza, eggplant parm and tomato sandwich. All fresh and delicious We ate inside and admired the gorgeous day that is February in Arizona. Service was spot on. Locale is always a good idea

Yelp
I want to start off by saying, I've been to Locale before. It was great and I very much enjoyed it. So much so that I would recommend Locale as a romantic date night. I enjoyed it so much so that when it came to romantic Valentines Day plans, I turned to Locale to supply the food and back drop for my date with my special someone. Big mistake. Here's the thing, I had no problem waiting an hour and ten minutes for a table, nor did I have a problem with the fact that said table ended up being a high top expertly placed by the restroom. Our service wasn't terrible but was certainly nothing to rave about. Unfortunately the most unforgiving thing was the food. I mean, it was truly terrible food. We were first greeted with what seemed to be a brick pulled from the very foundations of the restaurant itself but was apparently bread. It was terribly oily and cold. And the pesto sauce was almost certainly store bought pesto sauce. Just terrible. This was followed by the most disrespectful display of an appetizer I've ever faced. A cold ball of raw mozzarella cheese sitting atop ice cold tomato sauce. Awful the bread that accompanied it, awful. The Cesar salad, oil soggy, awful. I mean, I truly feel sorry for anyone who stayed for the full length of the courses. I kindly asked if we could just pay for our drinks, and we left. I will not be returning to Locale ever again.

Yelp
Visiting Tuscon for the first time and decided to stop by because my wife was craving pasta. The location and restaurant area is absolutely beautiful. Definitely a place to take your family or go on a date. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered the prosciutto butter bread - $6, spaghetti - $19, Sfoglia - $19, pear pizza slice - $5, strawberry lemonade - $4 (free refills). Their bread is absolutely amazing. You must try it if you go. The prosciutto butter wasn't that great. The Sfoglia is a bit on the salty side and too heavy for me. The spaghetti was a seafood garlic clam spaghetti and was amazing. Do not get the pear pizza slice. I didn't enjoy it.

Yelp
We visited with a group of six on a Tuesday evening and waited about 45 minutes to be seated. At first, we were surprised by how busy it was for a weekday, but it quickly made sense when we learned it was Neighborhood Night - their special buy-one-pasta, get-the-second-half-off deal. This turned out to be an amazing value. We ordered nearly every appetizer and pasta on the menu, and the total bill was shockingly affordable. The outdoor seating area was impressive, with spacious patio sections and a large grassy area perfect for families and larger groups. It had a lively yet relaxed vibe, with plenty of large chairs and tables - a perfect spot for weekends or after-work hangouts. They even have lawn games and extra seating around the corner! The appetizers were fantastic, especially the bruschetta, fried calamari, and broccolini. The pastas were hearty and delicious, with the lasagna and tagliatelle standing out as some of our favorites. I highly recommend checking this place out, especially on a Tuesday night. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is inviting, and the Neighborhood Night deal is too good to pass up!

Alex L.

Yelp
Food was just phenomenal, 20/10. Service was communicative, respectful and helpful. Ambiance was lovely at night with heaters working well. All this for $60 too!! Definitely recommend!

Dane S.

Yelp
Do not bother with the meatballs. Sauce was pretty good but the meatballs tasted and looked like there was little meat in them. They were dry and more resembled bread than meat. We also had broccolini and chicken. Both were over cooked and hard to cut with the dinner knife. Caesar was okay. We sat inside and if you don't get a booth the chairs are very hard and a utilitarian wood type. Service was bare bones. Will not be returning.

Lauren F.

Yelp
Great place for a date night. they have a big parking lot in the back. there is a beautiful patio with heaters which really sets the ambiance. inside there is a bar, fireplace with a seating area, and a wine store. we arrived at 7:30 pm on a friday with no reservations for 2 people and waited about 45 minutes. they take your number down and text when table is ready. while we waited we got drinks at the bar which helped the time go by fast. they had spritz which just reminded us so much of when we were in Italy 3 months ago. the service was fast and accurate, and the food is delicious.Very generous portion sizes. we got the seafood pasta, salad and tiramisu.

Jasmine V.

Yelp
From the coffee to breakfast and dinner is absolutely fantastic. It's delicious and always fresh. Service is always very welcoming and helpful. The ambiance makes you feel like you're somewhere in Italy on a vacation. The decor and layout is so beautiful and a must when visiting Tucson.

C C.

Yelp
Love the ambiance of the outdoor patio. Great vibes, great food. We had about an hour wait at 6pm on a Sunday night; granted Monday was a holiday. Our only complaint was the lasagna seriously lacked in meat, very heavy noodles, the sfoglio was pretty good. We really enjoyed the fried artichokes and aioli. Locale is a great spot to bring out of town people to, definitely will return and recommend.

Yelp
I can't say anything higher about this place, but we left here very happy with our bellies full, our palate pleased and our satisfactory meter on high. this place was a pleasant surprise as we wanted a nice dinner, and this place doesn't take reservations unless you are over a table of 8. we walked in, got in the text cue for a table, got wine at the bar and within 15 min, we had a table. at the table, we ordered pre-drink cocktails - introduced the bartenders to a martinez which they happily obliged to make, and they enjoyed making them and wondered why it's not on their menu, so that made us happy. we ordered appetizers, a salad, a slice of pizza and two entries. we hadn't eaten all day and we were starving, ok? but boy, was it worth trying everything we did. we had the fried calamari, roasted tomatoes with feta (in WARM olive oil) were both AMAZING. i've never wanted to eat a whole tiny skillet of olive oil before, it was so good with the sautéed garlic chips in it. we ordered the house salad with burrata when we were going to order two, but the waiter graciously told us to split one and so glad we did. it was a great compliment to our dinner which we should have also split an entree but glad we didn't just for sake of trying two of their pasta dishes which were both great. bolognese tagliatelle - i can eat every week for the rest of my life. so nostalgic and i'm not italian! sflogia - the braised pork with ribbon pasta? omg, if i wasn't so full, i would have licked this plate clean. so flavorful and decadent. lastly, if you're coming here, get a slice of the pear pizza. we asked to give up one slice of their recommended pizza and this was a clear answer, no hesitation. we were both so glad for it. so amazing. you can eat as your meal but it felt like a dessert by how rich and sweet it was with a perfect brightness from the arugula. the server and bartenders were wonderful considering they had a holiday crowd, but they kept the mood feeling relaxed, welcoming and the recommendations all night were spot on. with all that we had, this meal would have been a FORTUNE under other circumstances, but we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonable our bill was at the end of the night considering the quality and quantity of food we got. this would be a reason we would come back to tuscon in addition to jumping on more of the hiking trails. this meal made our holiday trip. thanks locale!

Yelp
Locale Neighborhood Italian is exactly the relaxing patio dining I've been looking for in Tucson! The date palms that dot the dining area and lounging space are gorgeous, with a high-end resort feel, but the menu keeps value a priority, with reasonably priced wine and mains and discounted specials on various nights of the week. It's the perfect place for a romantic date night that keeps you on budget, and the outdoor fireplace and seating just past the main patio provide an excellent space for a private party, live entertainment, etc. Service was great throughout our meal, and the dishes were excellent -- well prepared and nicely seasoned. Can't wait to go back!

Alex J.

Yelp
Wonderful service and atmosphere! The wait times were longer than we were quoted over the phone. Can't do reservations for parties under 8, this is on their website as well. There is outside seating and indoors. We got a chicken entree and the pear pizza (pictured). We split the chicken entree so only half is shown but was enough for two people. Service was quick as well. Would recommend, but ensure you have so time to wait if it is Friday or Saturday night.

Cristel N.

Yelp
Food was good, service was good, & ambience too. This was for a birthday celebration, they took care of the cake service pretty well!

Chantel G.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Quality food, excellent wait staff. Well known for their artichoke appetizer, we tried both that and the calamari- both excellent! The Casarecce dinner entree was amazing, perhaps the best ricotta cheese I've had at a restaurant, with plenty left over for lunch the next day. You'll want to save room for dessert- I recommend the Semifreddo- a refreshing lemon whip, slightly sweet with just the right amount of tart, topped with fresh berries which balanced the flavor nicely. I'll definitely be back!

Troy D.

Yelp
We had an exceptional dinner with the best meal in Arizona thus far. The location, staff and menu are perfect for a memorable experience. Don't miss out on this find in Tucson.

Traci G.

Yelp
Locale brunch is a best kept secret. Not very crowded and beautiful simple surroundings. Had the best lavender latte ever! Their bakery goods are amazing and different and on display I can't wait to go again

Jenny B.

Yelp
I've been to Locale a couple times, and my 3 star rating is just based on inconsistency between the dishes I've ordered. That atmosphere is beautiful! A wonderful place for a special night out with friends and family. Previously I had ordered the braised pork pasta and it was amazing. Lots of flavor and one I think about often! This time however I ordered the mushroom fasili. I wanted to branch out and try up dish without meat, and I will say I was disappointed. It had very little flavor to it, and the mushrooms still had some grit in them. The texture of the pasta was good but again, lacking all around. The drinks are always well made, but I will say for what you pay for it bread on the table would be a nice touch.

Princess P.

Yelp
Fun and bright location for brunch! My girls and I usually come to Locale for dinner. We were pleased with their brunch and enjoyed ourselves with mimosas and iced lattes! The Locale Plate was delicious. Loved the Italian sausage and the eggs were cooked perfectly as ordered.

Hannah H.

Yelp
Best spot for a "girl dinner". $5 pizza slices, plus a Caesar salad and tasty cocktails. Came with my sister and friend and we got a delicious meal for a great price.

Jerry M.

Yelp
One of my Favorite places to visit. You honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Staff is always very friendly and attentive. We are lucky to have in Tucson and I recommend Everything!!!

Breanna E.

Yelp
The first thing we noticed was there was no bread served before dinner. So we inquired... It's a la cart. At an Italian restaurant I expect table bread. Especially after working in the industry for so long. The food was okay. Calamari could have been cooked a bit longer. The chicken dish has an okay flavor but it was like they just took a hammer to the chicken and left all the broken bones in it. More of a chore than a nice meal. The lasagna had little flavor making for a pretty boring dish. At the end of the day I will not be heading back anytime soon. Sticking to my other go to Italian restaurants!

Amanda H.

Yelp
This restaurant has all the vibes! From brunch(weekend only) to lunch and dinner. Casual or date night fancy it fits whatever you're going for. They have a lot of space both indoor and outdoor seating and both are equally amazing! Whoever did the design, well done. If it's busy you can grab a drink and find a lawn chair to sit in while waiting. The food is good and the drinks are even better. I love their Fusilli pasta, Polenta (it's so good), and their Foraged wild mushroom pizza. I have yet to try their sandwiches but I will!

Jenn F.

Yelp
Patio, amazing even in an evening (they have heaters if it's a tad chilly. Service fantastic. The food, delicious... if/when I am ever in Tucson again my husband and I will plan to have dinner again here.

Rebecca I.

Yelp
We tried out the brunch here which was pretty good but the menu is small. They do have full bakery options though too if you want something sweet. I want to go back for dinner and I think the selections are bigger. The dining room is very pretty as well as the patio.

Jakala G.

Yelp
Upon arriving we were greeted warmly and told an accurate time frame for seating. There is a lovely area outside if you choose to sit and wait, they take your number and text you when your table is ready. The food was excellent! My husband was near tears the whole time, music took him right back, he kept saying this is delicious, this is the closest to real Italian I have had since being back in the states. Will absolutely be going back. Our server Sergio was friendly, attentive, and informative. We had 2 appetizers, a meal a piece, and then both had a dessert. We left full but not painfully so and hours later we are both still fat, dumb, and happy. We hope you take the time to visit and feel it will be worth your time and $$ I wish I had taken pictures of each of our courses, I wish I had taken a picture of my glassy eyed husband, I wish I had taken pictures of their beautiful space inside and out. Memory will just have to carry me through until our next visit.

Nicole B.

Yelp
I'm not a person that typically goes for Italian, but when I was invited to go to this place I decided to give it a try! The line was out the door, showing that it's a popular space and clearly people enjoy it quite a bit! I adored the decorations and ambience, with small tea lights on each table and interesting pieces of art on the walls. They have a great outdoor space to enjoy a meal when the weather is good! I ended up ordering the casarecce, which, while yummy, lacked a bit of flavor for my taste. I've heard great things about the tortelli di zucca, so that will probably the meal I will try if I end up going again.

Laura W.

Yelp
My first time here. With a large group so placed in a large room with another extremely loud group. The service was, however, outstanding! The food was - I guess OK. The bread was yummy I'll give it that. The bolognese was uninspired. Portions were big - I had lunch the next day. I'd like to try it again at a regular table and order something different.

Desiree B.

Yelp
Stopped by for coffee and some yummy breakfast and so glad we did. I had a hazelnut mocha latte and my mom had a chai tea both were very good. The frittata was so good, it was almost custard like beautiful and tasty. The frittata had red bell peppers, loaded with cheese. It was light and so great for breakfast.

Alyssa A.

Yelp
This is a perfect little spot. Looked up pet friendly patios. Really good Italian food. Vegan friendly. Nice cocktail and beer menu. Most pasta is made in house. Friendly service. Will definitely be back.

Michelle R.

Yelp
Locale is one of my favorite places to be in Tucson. I even had my wedding dinner at Locale after my elopement! The food - it's delicious! I've tried 5 of the pasta dishes and they are all cooked perfectly. My favorite is the Agnolotti. Tip: go on Tuesdays when it's buy one pasta get one past 50% off. The pizza is amazing - I love the meatball and the country bacon. The bread is great, the truffle fries are delightful and enough to feed a family! I've also been to the bakery twice for breakfast and tried the French toast and breakfast sandwich. Both were stunning, but no match for the breakfast potatoes - they are magical! The service is always great despite fact that they are always packed. It's like they get the best servers in Tucson. Even if the wait time is long, it's worth waiting because the staff always gets the food out to you quickly. Ambiance - have you seen this patio? You don't even feel like you're in Tucson. It's gorgeous and so large. It honestly feels like you've gone out of town to a nice spa. The restaurant building is so large and beautifully decorated. It's easily one of my favorite places to eat in Tucson!

Adrianna S.

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night. 20 minute wait for the patio. Great outdoor seating. (No happy hour). Host was not the friendliest and I even saw a group of people leave because of it. But once we were seated, service was great. Very friendly. Food came out fast. Fried artichokes were our favorite. Must order! Everything else was good. Not fantastic but definitely good and enjoyable. We tried the calamari, country bacon pizza, meatball pizza and Caesar salad. Pizza was not our preferred type of pizza but it may be someone else's! Go for the patio and the artichokes. Worth it.

Valerie S.

Yelp
Really loved the ambiance at Locale! They have beautiful outdoor and indoor spaces to enjoy your meal. Looks great for groups, too! Service was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed their fried calamari and the slightly spicy dipping sauce it's served with. I also enjoyed an Aperol Spritz, made to perfection. Even though we were here on Sunday during their brunch hours, I opted for their Carnonara and it was equal parts creamy and smoky. I enjoyed it very much! I shared a Caesar salad with my husband and it was lackluster! Romaine lettuce looked a bit sad and their shredded chicken on top was too dry. I don't know if this is how it's normally served, but I would have a hard time reordering that. I also had a taste of my Aunt's meatball sandwich and let me say, those meatballs!! They were the star of the table! She was giving everyone a taste! They were so delicious and perfectly prepared! I will definitely return and try some other dishes.

Pamela L.

Yelp
After an amazing trip to Florence and Rome earlier this year, nothing excites me more than finding Italian food that is just as good. I absolutely love the decor. It fits perfectly with the Arizona landscape. Our waitress, Jo, is a doll! She gave us a bit of history that this place was once a mansion and hinted that the previous owners still live here and that they might be dining with us if you catch my drift. Everything we ordered was stellar. They don't serve free bread but I recommend that you get it because OMG, it was incredible!! It's worth the $3. My son and I love Spaghetti with clams but he would never order it. He would point it out to me...look mom, they have your fave here. He would order something else and then eat half of mine. There must have been about 30 tiny clams. Here is what we ordered: - Bread & Spread - Carpaccio - Spaghetti with Clams - Lasagne - Sfoglia Note: On Tuesday nights, you can buy one entree and get the second pasta at 1/2 off.

Raeann Q.

Yelp
Locale is an Italian restaurant that has a very nice ambiance of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has an array of dishes of which I got the lasagna. It was the best or worst I've ever had but it wasn't something I'd be dying to go back for. The service was ok, I love seeing a place that had people to just refill drinks. I usually base my tip on how full they can keep my glass. Speaking of which I honestly am in love with the strawberry lemonade they have, it must be a fan favorite since they had someone with a pitcher of it for refills. Overall it's okay if you want a nice ambiance with mid-decent Italian food not the best but definitely not the worst.

Gene T.

Yelp
Busy place. Slow service but friendly and decent food. Totally enjoyed the carpaccio! Mmmm. Half chicken (roasted in its own juices), creamy polenta, garlic broccolini. Chicken was very good. The rest was no good at all. Not edible. Rock hard cold polenta. Broccolini was forgettable and again not edible. A nice cocktail. Very very busy. Would need patience. Parked far away. We had a large party so we had a reservation. It would be a must. I would try it again if I had time. Just thought the food was not all tied to together well enough for me to attempt going back very soon.

Jillian P.

Yelp
Good brunch spot to go with the littles. Cute neighborhood spot with a great bakery case. Came by for brunch with two kids under five and were able to snag a large table off to the side where we were less likely to disturb other diners. We ordered an assortment of bakery items to share. The cinnamon roll and orange poppyseed muffin were a hit with the littles! I ordered the Locale plate and a matcha oat milk latte. The latte was a little too grassy for my taste, but the locale plate was filling and flavorful! Recommended asking for a side of the siracha mayonnaise for the breakfast potatoes!

Jeff David G.

Yelp
Simple, well executed Italian classics. Inspired decor fills the many rooms and hallways of this beautiful restaurant. We had a large reservation of 14 and everyone was seated an served quickly. Staff were friendly and they got almost all of the orders correct. Both appetizers were delicious and I had the lasagna for my entree. I counted 8 layers of well cooked pasta layered between flavorful beef ragu, creamy béchamel, and a complimentary red sauce. Very reasonably priced and there are deals for different nights if the week!

Jerry H.

Yelp
Our favorite local Italian spot. Food is always great and service is outstanding. Ambiance is so nice (it's originally a farmhouse from the 1930s.)Locale is one of the handful of places we take out of town friends. This evening we had the crispy polenta, Locale Salad, and the Bruschetta. 0 complaints and probably the best probably I've ever had. The spicy Marinara accompanied the Polenta was fantastic.

Nancy S.

Yelp
We met friends for dinner this past Thursday on a rainy cold evening and this place was packed! This was my first visit and now I know why it was packed; delicious food, great service and beautiful atmosphere. We all ordered pasta and all of us were pleased. My husband and friend ordered Sfoglia; the pork was tender and flavors were delicious. The portion size was significant. My other friend ordered the Fusilli and said it was delicious. (I'm ordering this entree next time.). I ordered the Tortelli Di Zucci and ate it all!! The pumpkin flavor were perfectly balanced the other flavors. I recommend this entree! We just had to share a dessert and ordered the Tartufo which was a perfect balance of chocolate, pistachio and cherry. Yum! Sam our server was personable, knowledgeable and shared helpful menu details. We had a relaxing and delicious experience!

Liz M.

Yelp
I came for a group setting/conference event and got the lasagna. Delicious! The drink service was very good- and I highly recommend the cinecitta- basically a lemon drop with gin. Fantastic. I would recommend this location for a group meeting or event. Service was good but could use as drink service between salad and the main course. Otherwise a great event.

Xanthe P.

Yelp
First, service was exceptional. I hate to follow this up with a poor review of the food. Not at all worth the money. The burrata was a good starter, tons of truffle fries that needed more truffle. We split the tomato pasta with basil and added a meatball. Bland, meatball was really hard and not hot throughout. Nice setting/ambiance but for $90, I could have stayed home and made better. Come on! What a ripoff.

Melissa S.

Yelp
Locale offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner and I have tried them for all. The breakfast cafe/bakery might be the best time to visit since it often seems to be less busy compared to other breakfast places in the area. They have a variety of menu options and I have enjoyed a few different pastries and hot/iced lattes. Have also tried the burrata toast with pesto and prosciutto, which is a more savory breakfast item. I was not a huge fan of the mushroom toast menu item. Dinner can be very busy even on a weeknight. The penne all-arrabbiata is generally my go-to for dinner although the sauce actually isn't very spicy as listed on the menu. They only allow reservations for 8+ people. If you need a venue that has space to accommodate a large group or party this restaurant is great for that! They have ton of rooms inside the restaurant and a large outdoor patio area, but it can get loud indoors. Generally plenty of parking spots surrounding the restaurant.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
There was a good flow of people on the Wednesday evening we went. There were families dining in, girls' having their night out, and couples on their date night. The ambiance was cute and warm. I can't remember whether music was playing, but if it was, it was at a level at which I could hear my fiancé across the table from me. We ordered the Agnolotti (ricotta and spinach, brown butter, English peas), tortelli di zucca (pumpkin, amaretti, butter sage sauce) and pear pizza slice. Prices were very reasonable- $16/each for our pasta dishes (no protein) and $4.75 for the slice of pizza. I preferred my Agnolotti to his Tortelli di Zucca but both were fresh and al dente. I was surprised by the slight sweetness of the Tortelli but the brown butter sauce is delicious! The portions were on the smaller side (think opposite of Olive Garden) but that just means you can get dessert and not feel guilty about it! I had the pear pizza for lunch the next day. I'm not a fan of thick crust, so Roman-style isn't the way to go for me. The flavors (pear, gorgonzola, caramelized onions, candied pecan, arugula, and balsamic) were great and cohesive (maybe minus the pecans).

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Tell me you are not prepared for Arizona portions in two words. I wasn't. This cute little Italian restaurant is a gem located in the quiet bustle of Tucson. My boyfriend's sister recommended the place to us while we were in town visiting them. The restaurant interior was very simple yet charming and the hostess and servers were very nice. What I was not expecting, were the portions of food and this is totally normal because in California, you pay an arm to get a tiny plate. We wanted to try a few different things so we got the creamy polenta, a slice of pepperoni pizza, two pastas, broccolini and an order of truffle fries. The creamy polenta was actually the highlight of my night. It was creamy, lightly seasoned to compliment the braised beef ragu and served on a board. This honestly warmed my soul. We ordered the spaghetti with clams and the spicy creamy penne with an order of meatballs. While the pasta was nice and al dente, I do feel that there was something missing from the sauce. The clams were nicely cooked but the meatball felt a little too dense for me. I ended up taking that one home after having two bites because I was full from the polenta. The truffle fries were standard, served with truffle aioli and the pizza was more a focaccia flat bread. The bread itself though, had a beautiful texture, another highlight of my night. I could have done without the toppings and been completely content. Broccolini was good as well but as a standard side, nothing outstanding. Overall, I would recommend coming here and trying it out. The vibes are there for a romantic date night but note that it does get pretty busy at night!

Yelp
Food is fresh and their dishes are delicious. Our server went out of his way to ensure we were happy. We ate outdoors in sunny 70 degree weather with beautiful blue skies. Their outdoor seating is wonderful.

Yelp
I visited here on a Tuesday evening. Their parking lot was full so I had to park on the street. There's a lot of indoor and outdoor seating but there was about a 45 minute wait for a table so I sat at the bar. The bartenders were serving everyone at the bar (and those waiting for a table) efficiently. I ordered calamari with spicy marinara sauce to start which was perfectly fried and not too oily. The pepperoni pizza was a step above the frozen microwave pizza. I will likely try out a pasta next time. Overall this is a popular Italian spot in Tucson for happy hour or a nice dinner!

Yelp
Locale is one of my favorite local spots for pasta and I finally had the chance to stop in for brunch, which did not disappoint. I'm also a big fan of their salads, which are always fresh and a great size for the price. The bakery turns out some delicious creations (the blackberry lavender tea cake is my favorite so far) and the staff is always friendly. The restaurant space and patio are beautiful and perfect for any occasion.

Yelp
I visited the bakery/cafe side today. It was a smaller, cute space. I had a chocolate croissant and cappuccino. Food and drink were both delicious. We were with a large party and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! I will be back!
