"Situated in the enchanting Val di Non with its castles and apple orchards, this restaurant housed in a 19C building has been run by the same family since 1933. It serves excellent cuisine that makes good use of regional produce alongside occasional ingredients from further afield, such as the delicious pistachio ice cream." - Michelin Inspector

The owners of this beautiful inn are quite talented and welcoming! The Segna family made us feel so comfortable with their adorable, quaint and immaculate rooms; their delicious breakfasts and their wonderful hospitality! The highlights here are many, including the decor, stunning location and great accommodations but the dining experience was simply amazing! It was a bit unexpected to have such a gourmet experience in such a small, unassuming town but every meal we had was a gastronomical feast! The quality of the local food was outstanding and the presentation of the food was creative and inviting. We could not have been more happy staying here and dining here and certainly plan to go back to the beautiful town of Brez and this lovely northern Italian inn!

My family traveled to this village to see where my mother's father had been raised. We were greeted by the proprietor, Danilo, who provided us with help and advice about seeking out possible family members still in the area. Both Danilo and his wife run a wonderful hotel and fabulous restaurant according to exacting standards of hospitality, cleanliness, comfort and fine dining. The hotel, bar, breakfast room and dining room were all so clean and appointed with lovely, local furnishings that combined both antique and modern wood furniture made in the local style. There is a lovely outside patio set in a small, but beautifully landscaped, garden. Every detail is attended to in the furnishings and in the maintenance of the property. The location is beautiful, although it is quite loud with tractor traffic in the morning. We ate in the dining room both nights and it was a SUPERB experience from beginning to end. The service is exceptional and the food out of this world. We could not believe how lucky we were to be staying in such a lovely hotel and then be blown away by the cuisine, ambiance and service of the dining room. In all, an experience to remember and a place to return.

I had discovered this place in beautiful Val di Non when trying the restaurant a couple of months ago, which was great. So I took the opportunity of a short vacation in Trentino to stay in the hotel. It may be only two stars, but it is more comfortable, spacious and clean than many four stars I've visited! Totally charming (I had the 'Renetta' room on the second floor). It is located on the main road of the village but the place is very tranquil. The owner Danilo is a real professional with a personal touch; nothing is too much trouble and he will go all the way to accommodate your needs. (Brits will like him because while he looks very serious he has a nice sense of humour).||||Breakfast is wonderful. Much home made and local stuff, including lovely jams, cakes and cheeses. Remember, this is a small *family* hotel, so don't expect the one hundred items of an international hotel! This is simply a wonderful selection of genuinely good ingredients, which speak of the terroir around.||||Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality. To repeat, the place is probably two stars because it does not have the necessary frills for a higher classification, such as minibar etc., but the level of comfort -bed, bathrobes, wifi, shower, space- is high indeed.

First time at locanda alpina. The service was from start to end very good. The menu is limited (three to four dishes for starters, main and second but all with prime ingredients and really well executed. Wine list is mostly local but has some of my favourite Trentino wineries. Given I never tried it I went for one of the local val di non grapes - groppello - and was not disappointed as a company to the deer. Definitely recommend a visit, I will be back!

Nice and quiet. All rooms are pretty new and comfortable. Very good cuisine. Even though there is few personnell you will miss nothing. Owned by the same guy as far as I can remember. The only cons is there is absolutely nothing to do in the neighborhood. It worths a stop during your trip.

We drove from Lago Iseo to Bolzano in the summer, and stopped at Locanda Alpina for some lunch. And what a lunch, after deciding what to eat, we got to complementary dishes from the kitchen, before the lunch we had ordered came. Everything tasted so good, so we are so glad we stopped by here, and will do it again if we come to Brez again.

My experience was okay except for finding a small stone inside of my veggie ball that was served during the welcome of kitchen entry plate. I almost broke my teeth. I told the restaurant owner to inform the kitchen. He said maybe it comes from our garden and at the end he gave two glasses of Brut as a discount.
