This place felt overrated. The ambiance is beautiful, but the food just didn't live up to the hype.
We started with the focaccia bread and pesto sauce. The bread itself was soft and fluffy, but the pesto was overwhelmingly salty. The Caesar salad was one of the better dishes, not a traditional Caesar, more like a cross between Caesar and thousand island, but still tasty.
The calamari, on the other hand, fell flat. The batter had little flavor beyond the oil, and the dipping sauce was also very salty, with blended black olives that you'd probably want to skip if you're not a fan of olives.
For mains, I ordered the lobster ravioli in a pink sauce. Unfortunately, the ravioli was bland and lacked that sweet lobster flavor I was hoping for, while the sauce tasted more like tomato soup. My husband had the braised beef pasta, which was decent but not memorable, the beef was a bit dry. We were also surprised that the Parmesan offered was pre-grated in a small cup instead of freshly grated at the table. Not a dealbreaker, but a little disappointing.
Drinks were the highlight. my cocktail was excellent, and the light Italian beer my husband chose was refreshing. Service was quick and attentive, though our server wasn't particularly warm or welcoming, which made the experience feel a little off.
Overall, the food simply didn't match the price point or the hype. While we enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks, we left feeling underwhelmed and agreed we wouldn't return.
