Locanda del Barone

Lovely little B&B near Caramanico Terme. The food was outstanding, with lots of locals eating there regularly. The room was simple but clean, with all comforts including air conditioning, smart TV and a goor hair dryer. It was all very clean and the owners are so nice you feel like home, or better! We will be back for sure.

I’ve had the privilege of coming here over the years it’s one of my absolute favourite places in the world. Not only because the food is out of this world, but also because of the amazing service and stunning scenery. We’re coming back in a few weeks, and I’m counting down the minutes! I can’t recommend this place enough definitely come here if you have the opportunity!

I've never written a Trip Advisor review, but after staying here i just had to. It was one of the best experiences I've had in traveling through Italy for almost 25 years. The quality of the food, the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, and the cleanliness were all excellent. And the views will take your breath away.

Having had several amazing meals at Locanda del Barone during past visits to the Abruzzo, we decided to have a relaxing vacation spending four nights in one of the bed and breakfast rooms they offer. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was extremely helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Breakfast was abundant and varied, highlighted by an excellent zucchini frittata, a variety of cakes, beautifully ripe fresh fruit, and bread baked on the premises. The area around the Locanda, the Maiella mountain range, is majestic and beautiful, and one can take bucolic walks directly from the Locanda. As lovely as our stay was, the strongest draw for visiting the Locanda is the restaurant. As stated above, we have had several memorable meals there--tremendously imaginative appetizers based on the excellent and traditional ingredients of the area, delicious pastas, and superbly prepared entrees. We always make it a point to have at least one or two meals at the Locanda del Barone when we visit this stunning part of Abruzzo.

Absolutely fabulous and a must-visit if you’re in the area! We stayed at the locanda - the room was very clean and comfortable with a magnificent view. The food is out of this world (dinner and breakfast) and the staff is very friendly! Just loved it all.

We went to the restaurant for Sunday lunch. Perfect in every way. Very helpful staff, we were lucky and there was a cancellation. Superb food. I want to go back already. A perfect quintessential italian experience. Eloquent dining. Literally the highlight of our holiday in Italy. Top marks to the waiter who made us so welcome. Will definitely be back I hope

Lovely place with a beautiful view on the mountains. The food we had here was amazing; especially the arrosticini are top. But, most important was the staff that was very kind and helpful during our stay.

My family and I stayed there in mid September for 3 nights and found the accommodations were quite wonderful. Our rooms were quaint and comfortable. My room had a beautiful terrace on which I could commune with nature. The food was so well made with obvious personal hands-on care and true authenticity and paired with great wines. The management and staff treated us like family.
