"Housed in a medieval hamlet, this traditional restaurant serves typical specialities from Piacenza, as well as other dishes full of creativity and imagination. All are accompanied by wines from the region (the wine list seems to have them all! ) and elsewhere in Italy. Winter evenings are brightened by the large indoor fireplaces, while a 100 year - old wisteria provides shade in the welcoming inner courtyard in summer." - Michelin Inspector

Incredible food, service, and place! One of my most favourite restaurants in Italy! And Jacopo is the epitome of incredible service… and apparently also a historian 😅. Told us a lot of fun facts about the region 🙂😌 The hay ice cream is a must!!! Chef Pietro doing pure magic in the kitchen!

We have eaten here twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. The food is just amazing with perfect taste in every way. For dinner we came a night where there was wine tasting do only limited choices we were told. Limited means only about 6-8 dishes and 5 desserts..... The courtyard is so wonderful to sit in. The passion from the entire staff is so wonderful to feel and you sense the pride in every detail.

Food here was excellent! Service was really nice though a bit slow since they're always so crowded -- but staff are very kind and all so friendly. What we had: 1. Snails with celeriac and anchovy mayonnaise--my favorite dish here. The anchovy mayonnaise was unbeatable, and the snails were also pretty good. Little crisped breadcrumbs on the top added the perfect complement of crunch to the mayo foam and snails. This came recommended by our server. 2. Cacio e pepe risotto -- very nice! Came with a beef jus I believe that broke through the richness of the cacio e pepe. A special rendition that I think is signature to Locanda del Falco 3. Ravioli with curry sauce -- this was different, I kind of liked it! First bite I thought it was a bit strange, but it grew on me and I cleaned up all the sauce with my bread, heh. 4. We had steak with caramelized onions and mustard seeds, with a side of artichokes. The artichokes were grilled/charred really nicely. I was just a bit tired of artichokes but I think they are otherwise a nice complement. I can't remember what the dessert was called but it was something chocolatey. I also appreciated that they had these transparent little barricades between each table to make sure there was social distancing I suppose? It didn't affect the experience in my opinion since they were just plastic and transparent, but it made me feel a lot more comfortable during this period and the amount of time we were spending dining indoors. Nice thought! Anyway, just make sure you have nothing much planned in the afternoon because I think this turned out to be a 3 hour dining experience! They're very very busy. However, you're probably in Piacenza to chill anyway, so just enjoy!

Perfect in every way! We’ve been there for 3 times and every time it was perfect. For us it’s probably the best place to eat the local italian food in Italy. Thank you!

Loved the grilled asparagus and local pastas (Tortelli Piacentini & Pisarei E Faso). Didn't get pictures of the food as we were too busy stuffing our faces. Drove over from Milan and it was well worth the trip.

Really good and really nice service. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy. The restaurant is inside a little castle and you can take a little walk to the river.

I went there with my family, back from abroad, and after two years finally I was able to reserve a table. This long wait it has been fully compensated. Atmosphere is so relaxing. Personell is kind and competent, the food is excellent and cellar well sorted. Once I will return again to Italy I will sure go back and enjoying the Locanda del Falco.

Yelp
Beautifully located at Castello Rivalta. Delicious Pisarei, one of the best I ate in the region. I still dream of the tagliolini with porcini that I ate here. A wonderfully cozy place to have a nice meal. There is a wonderful store on site that is worth a look at. A very good meal in a memorable location.
