Locanda dell'Amorosa

We just stayed here for one night after something went wrong in another hotel. We arrived very late, we were hungry and tired. TThe staff are literally, the kindest, most genuinely welcoming people we have ever experienced. They made us feel like home. We felt immediately happy when we arrived||The setting was like in the movies. Everything was perfect and beautiful. The room was beautiful en very clean. Everything we needed was there. The Room was spacious with tall ceiling.||The food at the wine bar is amazing. The breakfast was of excellent quality and the view is just amazing. ||But the dinner at the restaurant the most unexpected experience. The restaurant is very cozy and charming. We had a 6 course menu.The food was just absolutely amazing, every course was perfect! It was well balanced and very tasteful. The additional wines were a perfect match! The staff was fantastic! ||The hotel is on top of a hill, just outside the city of Sinalunga. ||A long straight road surrounded by tall cypress trees guides you the grounds of the hotel. It is a fantastic view.||The hotel has still the old charm and history of before. ||Everything was stylish and great. ||Also the pool was great, the view again is great! There are more than enough beds, it is quite and relaxing. ||The only 'bad' thing was the Wifi, it was weak everywhere, especially at the pool. ||It was quite and relaxing everywhere at the hotel. ||We had a magical stay.||We will certainly come back!

Our stay at Locanda dell’Amoroso has been outstanding and it is a pleasure to provide them with a glowing five star review.  |The property is spectacular; the perfect blend of rustic and elegant.  It is a medieval farm village that sits atop a small hill, overlooking the local vineyards and fields.  There are two places to dine, the fancy gourmet restaurant for dinner and the lunch wine bar where we feasted on the best organic vegetables, local cheeses and wine, while sitting in an enchanting garden. A memorable highlight.|The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful, providing suggestions and reservations. We alternated days of touring the famous Tuscan towns like Montepulciano and Pienza, the wineries of Val D’Orcia, and relaxing by the beautiful pool and soaking in the amazing surroundings under the Tuscan sun.

Wife and I honeymooned in Italy for 10 nights. Our only regret was staying here only 3 of them. The highlight and most memorable part of our trip. We loved the peaceful surroundings, views and food. If you want to get away from the city, this is the place. Close enough for day trips to Florence and Sienna. Enjoy! The highlight of our Honeymoon.

Maybe the most wonderful place on the planet. it represents the best of Tuscany. Sandra gives great love and warmth. Some of my most treasured memories have come from many many times we’ve stayed at the Locanda. May it never change. I wish I were there now.

This was our second visit to Locanda dell’Amorosa and it just keeps getting better and better! The hotel, grounds, views and rooms are breathtaking. The restaurant is superb, The Osteria is wonderful! Staff is AMAZING! The drive up the driveway is just a beautiful beginning to a wonderful and relaxing environment. We arrived early so while waiting for our rooms we enjoyed lunch from the Osteria on the lawn. Good food, good wine, beautiful views and friendly staff made us feel right at home. Once we finished lunch we moved to our room which was beautifully appointed. Bedroom was spacious. Sitting Room was cozy. Bathroom was large with a huge soaking tub. Views out our many windows were everything you imagine Tuscany would look like. Restaurant is an experience. The staff, sommelier, and chef are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. Food is superb! Breakfast buffet is not to be missed! When we thanked the front desk staff for all of their help they told us they do what they do out of love for their jobs and we say it shows! We will always stay at Locanda dell’Amorosa when visiting Tuscany.

Absolutely stunning property. The bedroom is a bit tired but that’s where the room for improvement stops. Vineyards to stroll through, incredible spa products, easy access to major roads, and best of all: the restaurant on property was one of our favorite dinners during our time in Tuscany.

We were here 30 years ago and the place has only gotten better. Wonderful hotel! Quite, beautiful with lots of character. Very good hotel staff. Very nicely appointed rustic rooms. The Osteria and the garden are very nice as well. There is a very nice pool with a gorgeous view too.||However, the evening restaurant run by a different company, though beautiful and romantic, is very disappointing. Food and service at the restaurant are mediocre.

The property is a restored village compound in Tuscany, complete with its own chapel. Rustic and authentic restoration, done well. Our rom was two levels, with a full living room, dressing room, huge bathroom, large bedroom. Plus a terrace. We enjoyed having the space. Some quirks with the property’s age. The upstairs toilet was literally in the closet. Rather hard to maneuver at night. Few plugs, so we moved furniture around to find them. All part of the charm. Fine dining restaurant had limited menu which we did not enjoy. Small wine cafe became our go-to option. Tasty soups! The property is not within walking distance of anywhere. Without a car, we felt pretty stuck. Would be good to have a car if you stay here. I would return for a night or two of charm. Or use the hotel as a base for day trips.

What an amazing place...the views are incredible, the people are incredibly friendly, the service is top notch, the rooms are clean and large, the grounds are magnificent, the location is central, and it is truly a picture of your Tuscan dream. There are four of us traveling and we have two rooms...the tower suite and a standard room and both have far exceeded our expectations. Breakfast is included, and is excellent, with fresh fruit, a coffee drink of your choice, pastries, breads, meats and cheeses, made to order eggs, and a beautiful dining room. There is a full service gourmet restaurant on-site that is very good. There is free wifi internet access. The next time I am in Tuscany I will definitely stay here again. Fantastic!!!
