Locanda Perbellini Bistrot Milano

We had lunch here, it was busy restaurant. We had ordered parmesan puff pastry, onion foam with tomato bread & in mains, pasta potatoes with provala cheese, endives and celery with white bean creams. We were being given complimentary breads & I loved their focaccia bread in that, we didn’t enjoy starters, mains were decent though. In dessert we had ordered millefoglie perbellini, but we really didn’t enjoy that, found it too cream for our taste. I might not like to visit here again, cobsidering the prices we had paid & we didn’t have taste for this type of Italian cuisine. London is different when it comes to hospitality, it was our anniversary & I mentioned it on booking but no friendly gesture or wishes to make us feel little special. However, staff was vigilant & quick in service, tables were little too close to each other and not much room but it wasn’t noisy or crammed ( although reason for this could also be families with young kids weren’t around at the time) Not impressed by this place & it didn’t leave any lasting impression for us.

My wife, two children and I, had a delicious dinner tonight at this restaurant. We thought it would be a great start to our trip to Milan because of the ravenous reviews here as well as being on the Michelin star guide. I have to say the food was excellent especially the saffron risotto, suckling pig, pasta dish, milanesa and Guinea fowl - not a one single negative thing to say about the flavor or presentation of the dishes - everything was incredible. The wine we had, a 2020 Tignanello, was simple one of a kind in aroma and flavor. Also, the team was attentive and professional EXCEPT for one of the waitresses by the name of Matia - this person treated us with a bad attitude and almost made us feel like we were not welcome. Thankfully, the rest of the team took good care of us. We hope this person, Matia, gets better training at treating every customer with the same respect, welcomeness and professionalism.

Amazing food and a truly cozy, non-touristy spot. The cuisine was outstanding, with rich flavors, great quality, and a menu so diverse you want to try everything. It feels like a local place rather than a tourist restaurant, which makes the experience even better. The space is a bit tight, but the food is absolutely worth it.

I had the Saffron Risotto and it was simply beautiful, with a rich taste and beautiful presentation. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is also cozy, relaxed, and very chic.

We had vitello tonnato, a Piemonte dish, good but very light version since I had better in Piemonte Cotoletta and Risotto are both really good, I really enjoy both of them. only bit too small portion 🤣 Overall the food is good, good wine and good service! Will be back ♥️

We have dined at Locanda Perbellini each time we visit Milano. It has become one of our constants during our visits especially during the lunch service. The staff is friendly and attentive and the menu is extremely well curated. This last visit the tuna belly carpaccio and arancini were delicious. The fresh pasta is light, savory and quite delicate. Always a perfect experience (6th visit thus far) and cant wait to be back again!

The food? Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. Five stars, maybe six. The kitchen is winning — big league. And this wasn’t our first time. It was our fifth dinner there with my wife. We kept coming back because the food is that good. Really good. But the service? A total collapse. The noise? Out of control. And the manager — instead of a simple apology — goes on the attack. Very weak. Very disappointing. You can’t treat loyal customers like that. So we won’t be back for a long time. A real shame. Because the kitchen? Still fantastic. The front of house? Not so much. Sad.

We’ve dined at this restaurant many times and the food has always been great. Unfortunately tonight the service was very average and the restaurant was extremely loud. Before leaving we mentioned to the manager that, while the food was as good as always, it was impossible to speak because of how loud it was, which is a bit unusual for a restaurant of this kind. Instead of apologizing, the manager answered rudely that it’s a Friday night and that we should have reserved during the week instead. While it is understandable that some nights might be louder than others, what is unacceptable is to receive such a rude answer from the manager of a restaurant that is owned by a Michelin-starred chef. Even though we love the food, unfortunately we won’t be returning in the foreseeable future.
