Having heard good things about this place from locals ahead of our move to silver spring, we decided to come by for dinner with family.
TL;DR: Excellent experience and vibe. Good atmosphere, lovely option for lunch or dinner with very tasty food and plenty of option, just some nitpicks.
Superfluous details first: 1) if you buy one of their bottles to drink there with your meal, there's a $10 corkage fee. just get a glass or two. 2) You order at the register and they then bring the food to you. As for water, you ask there for a cup and you fill up over at the soda fountain thing. None of this is entirely clear right away though and I can see someone having a bad day, coming here and complaining about both of theses, so that's why I mention them.
Nitpicks: We had to ask for silverware and never got napkins and outside of the one lady who took our order, the other two staff weren't the most attentive and were on their phones behind the register after bringing us our food, instead of checking if we needed anything, like the aforementioned silverware or napkins. This could honestly have just been us missing that you need to grab all that by the water station though. But if that's the case, say so. Also, my sandwich needed some extra bit of spice, like red pepper flakes.
Positives: The food was right on the line between very good and good for all 4 of us. I got the Steak and Cheese sandwich and honestly, it just needed some spice, and maybe should be on different bread, but it was tasty. 3 of us got the tomato basil soup which got rave reviews. The Jerkalaya pasta did too, although that also coming with a slice of toasted focaccia was weird. I love when carbs come with a side of carbs. The Jerk wrap drew praise too as did the flatbread, and we took half of each of these home for leftovers.
Overall a nice experience and a nice little place right in downtown. We enjoyed our experience and will be back for sure.
