Downtown Silver Spring’s Beloved Wine Bar Makes a Comeback This Weekend - Eater DC

"Locavino is a reinvented wine bar in downtown Silver Spring, reopening two and a half years after Adega Wine Bar closed. It features a heavy wine list, casual menu by Chef Santos Amaya, and a cozy vibe with communal tables made from salvaged wine barrels. The wine selection starts with about 200 bottles and plans to grow to over 300. Locavino encourages guests to drink local, with wines from Virginia, New York, Maryland, and small estate producers. It also offers 50 types of beer, mainly from Maryland breweries, and allows patrons to enjoy retail selections on-site." - Tierney Plumb

Taste: We were pleasantly surprised by the weekend special—$65 for two entrées, a bottle of wine, and a dessert or appetizer. We couldn’t pass it up! We opted for the seafood pasta and Jerkalayla, along with bruschetta as our appetizer and a delicious bottle of red wine. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared, making for a satisfying meal. Service: The host was welcoming, answered our questions, and helped with recommendations. We were seated quickly and given great suggestions. However, as the place got busier around 5 PM, we didn’t see our waiter as much, but it didn’t take away from the experience. Ambiance: The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting—perfect for a casual wine night or date. It started off quiet but picked up as the evening went on, making for a lively yet comfortable setting. Recommendation: If you’re looking for a cozy wine bar with great deals and flavorful dishes, locavino is definitely worth checking out. We’ll be back for sure!

Burgers are so good. Every one I've ordered for delivery was excellent. The fries were hit or miss. This time they were cold enough the cheese didn't melt but last time they were hot and ready. They wrapped the canned drinks separately in smaller bags so they don't sweat and weaken the take out bag. Nice touch. Most meals I've had here were excellent.

Google
Kind staff that clearly care about the customer experience! One young man helped us pick out a bottle of wine for our dinner and recommended the $65 weekend special, which is a pretty good deal for a date night. It gets you a bottle of wine, an appetizer (we did the bruschetta), and two entrees. I had the shrimp scampi and my wife had the jerkalaya. Both dishes were fantastic! Will definitely be making a point of coming back here.

Locavino is a wonderful place to stop in for a pm lunch while running errands in Silver Spring. The music is calm and the clientele seem to be enjoying each other’s company in a low key way. The food is great! The pictures are of a Frederick County burger: Frederick County Cabernet $12.00 Wine-marinated beef patty, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, dijon mustard mayo And a vegetarian Fake And Cheese $9.00 Grilled portobello, red bell peppers, caramelized onions, provolone, cumin coleslaw, French baguette I had creamy tomato soup on the side as well Very relaxing place to dine any time of the day. I have enjoyed many of their other specialities on other visits

Google
I really like this place! The food is so delicious. I've gotten the mushroom burger several times and its delish. Got the spinach salad and that was delish too. Have been here with friends a couple of times and they loved their food too. They have a nice happy hour and the wait staff is so friendly and willing to take the time to help you pick out wines.

Google
My business group recently met at Locavino, and they couldn't have been more welcoming! A great spot for delicious food, an extensive and thoughtful wine list, and incredibly accommodating staff. Definitely consider Locavino for your next business lunch or happy hour with friends!

Google
The food was fantastic. I went for happy hour and got a remarkably affordable and delicious cream of mushroom soup and beef sliders. I would absolutely buy both again. Nice thing about the spot is you can shop for wine while you wait for your food. It has more of a cafe and less of a bar vibe—I would describe it as fairly family friendly. I came back two days later for the huevos rancheros, which had the BEST roasted tomato sauce on their eggs. I have half a mind to go and ask if I can order a side of it to go the next time I visit.

Google
Great for delivery. Ordered from DoorDash and food arrived very hot, perfect temp! I tried the Jerkalaya. Sauce was fantastic, great portion size with an impressive amount of protein. Only note is I think it would be delicious with mushrooms.

Yelp
service was a 10/10, food was delicious! will be back again :) would recommend! a really nice place to chill with friends/ family and also be able to do work.

Yelp
UberEats Order Ordered the side Caesar Salad with Salmon (4 stars) The ingredients were fresh and the salmon was a decent size. Totally worth around $15 even though the salad bowl was only filled halfway. I also ordered the grilled cheese without tomatoes with chips. I appreciated the Jalapeño chips instead of regular flavored potato chips! The sandwich itself looked as if it was thrown together last minute; I'm not sure I would order it again... Overall, I was satisfied with the food quality and will try to stop by the restaurant to see what the ambiance inside is like.

Yelp
Really interested mixed used space. I came for the movies/farmers market and stayed for a bite. Space- This space is above the square. Part wine bar, market, and cafe. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Food- we got a jerk chicken sandwich and wrap. Both were flavorful and tasty, came with chips. Pretty solid and versatile menu. Service- the women we interacted was by herself. She did a great job managing the incoming patrons, running food, dining in market wines, making drinks, etc. all while being attentive to us while dining. Nice job. It's a nice casual spot for couples, kids, families.

Yelp
This is a little local gem! Not only is there a great selection of wines, but the kitchen really does a great job. I had the tomato basil soup and the fish tacos, both of which were full of flavor and presented well. Very reasonable prices and lovely serving staff add to the mix for a great experience.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious! We called 9 minutes before showing up, and they were able to accommodate 10 adults and 2 children on a Saturday at 7:45 pm. They gave us menus, and everyone placed their orders at the counter, paid, and then the food was brought out to our table. The atmosphere was very relaxed, but there was loud live music outside due to a festival happening that day. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back!

Yelp
I first came here a few years ago for a wine tasting when they first opened. I decided to visit again this summer and they've made quite a few changes. They now have a full menu that serves brunch all day. Since I came to for wine I ordered a cheese board to complement. Their house Merlot was *chef's kiss* amazing. The charcuterie board was sub-par, to be honest. I was a little disappointed that a wine bar had a mediocre cheese board. It would be nice if they had different options for boards and had other fruit spreads.

Yelp
I will update after I eat here. I came for the wine. It was sooo good, aerated Côte du Rhône it was fruity, low tannin, medium bodied and a delight to drink. Service was superior, helpful and friendly. Very involved and convivial. My friend's food order took a while, looked good. The ambience is informal, welcoming, neighborhood , not romantic or frilly.

Yelp
LOCAVINO wasn't exactly what I was expecting. It has a lot of potential but overall needs some work--starting with the basic cleaning, including dusting of walls and artwork. It was a bit dingy. Menu was extensive and promising. Wine and beer listings were great with tons of local options. Staff wasn't the best. Food ordered was okay. Bathroom needs work. I feel as if this place would be killer if they hired staff members that cared.

Rich

Yelp
In town for a conference was told about the restaurant and a happy hour stopped in great local beer selection on draft. Nice wine list. Great apps on happy hour. It was a surprise. Didn't expect to have something like that as we've been disappointed in the other restaurants locally give it a try it's very good

Yelp
Is it possible to be cool AND unpretentious? Serve good food and wine at reasonable prices? Yes and yes, at Locavino. This is a neighborhood gem. I will admit to you that I keep returning to the same menu items - the sliders and truffle fries - because they are so damn good I never want to order anything else! So I can't provide a robust a review as I should be able to given my many visits. But browse the other reviews and you will see much love for the food in general. One more thing - I used to not love having to order and pay at the counter. I mean its ok for fast food, but a cute wine bar? But I have been won over - when you are done with your meal, you can just...leave! No trying to catch the attention of your waitron, or conversely, having them come too soon and trying to hustle you out the door. It's entirely up to you; when you are ready, just get up and go

Yelp
In the heart of downtown Silver Spring, but a bit tucked away not street facing. Free 2 hr parking around the back. Met up with friends for a late lunch and was surprised by the food offerings! Everyone got a little something different and everyone enjoyed their meal! Burgers were recommended by the cashier so I got the Frederick County Cabernet - didn't taste the wine but it was a thick patty and all the ingredients were fresh - only downside was I asked for a medium cook and it came out well done despite the thick patty. I had a bite of the jerk sandwich and it was also a bit overcooked and dry but the flavors were good. I added the Truffle Parmesan fries and they were fried perfectly and flavorful. And of course there's a large selection of vino to drink there or buy a bottle for home. Definitely a nice casual spot to catch up with friends or even a casual date! The service was also good, you pay first at the cashier but they bring your food and clean the table, so don't forget to tip when you pay! Solid 4 stars, maybe even 4.5 based on price if they didn't overcook the meat.

Yelp
Having heard good things about this place from locals ahead of our move to silver spring, we decided to come by for dinner with family. TL;DR: Excellent experience and vibe. Good atmosphere, lovely option for lunch or dinner with very tasty food and plenty of option, just some nitpicks. Superfluous details first: 1) if you buy one of their bottles to drink there with your meal, there's a $10 corkage fee. just get a glass or two. 2) You order at the register and they then bring the food to you. As for water, you ask there for a cup and you fill up over at the soda fountain thing. None of this is entirely clear right away though and I can see someone having a bad day, coming here and complaining about both of theses, so that's why I mention them. Nitpicks: We had to ask for silverware and never got napkins and outside of the one lady who took our order, the other two staff weren't the most attentive and were on their phones behind the register after bringing us our food, instead of checking if we needed anything, like the aforementioned silverware or napkins. This could honestly have just been us missing that you need to grab all that by the water station though. But if that's the case, say so. Also, my sandwich needed some extra bit of spice, like red pepper flakes. Positives: The food was right on the line between very good and good for all 4 of us. I got the Steak and Cheese sandwich and honestly, it just needed some spice, and maybe should be on different bread, but it was tasty. 3 of us got the tomato basil soup which got rave reviews. The Jerkalaya pasta did too, although that also coming with a slice of toasted focaccia was weird. I love when carbs come with a side of carbs. The Jerk wrap drew praise too as did the flatbread, and we took half of each of these home for leftovers. Overall a nice experience and a nice little place right in downtown. We enjoyed our experience and will be back for sure.

Yelp
I recently came in and got to partake in their free Tuesday weekly wine tastings. From that, I ended up purchasing their 3 pillars pinot noir and even got 10% off which they offer for wine bottles purchased with the free tasting. The tasting has a casual and welcoming ambiance and I would encourage attending as a good way to try a new bottles of wine instead of purchasing blindly. The customer service is often pretty quick and the employees are kind here.

Yelp
Cute wine bar in the heart of downtown silver spring. We grabbed a bite to eat and a glass of wine preparatory to a concert @ The Filmore - quick 5 min walk from the restaurant. Parking is nearby and plentiful. Every time I attend a show @ The Filmore I will come back here. I ordered a Cab (5-6 oz so enough to mellow you) which we enjoyed while our food was being prepared. I ordered the prosciutto flatbread and babyyyyyy it slapped! Pesto - goat cheese - fig - salty prosciutto - balsamic drizzle - buttery flatbread. It was incredible. They accidentally overcooked my pizza (they caught it before even bringing it to me) and offered an appetizer on the house for my extended wait while they baked a new one. Excellent customer service! I accepted their offer and chose their hummus and pita bread. Another hit. I had to slow down on the hummus because I was almost full before the flatbread arrived. My only regret? I wasn't able to finish my flatbread because I had to head to the show. We'll be back!

Yelp
Good food! Great ambience!! Support Local Businesses!!! Love the location. Staff is friendly.

Yelp
Love the food, and my family orders here all the time. Although the most recent encounter, wasn't so pleasant. I called the store to make a request, and as I greeted the worker w/ my name over the phone his rudely response was "what's this in regards to?" in a very rude, unpleasant and unprofessional way. Unfortunately as much as we love the food I won't support again, and I'll be sure to share w/ my family. Wishing you all the best.

Yelp
The food was delicious and so was the wine. However, I sat outside since I had my dog and the bugs are crazy! My friend and I had to move tables. Also, since I had my dog, thankfully my friend was with me since we had to take turns to go inside and order since waiters do not come to the tables. If it wasn't for the bugs and t having to go inside to order, I would have given this restaurant a higher rating

Yelp
This past Saturday, my friend and I were looking for a spot to hang out at. She wanted to enjoy the sunshine and daylight for a while. I suggested downtown Silver Spring since it's been a couple of years since I was there. Unfortunately it started raining so we went into the mall for a bit. We started getting hungry but didn't want to eat in the mall. So while she shopped, I used Yelp to find a spot for us to eat at...enter Locavino. After our shopping excursion, we walked to the restaurant which was a one minute walk from the mall. The restaurant is very elegant and cozy. It's not a large space but it comfy and intimate. You pretty much seat yourself and you order your food from the front counter instead of being seated and having a full server. Now for the meal. We started out with the sliders with a side of parmesan truffle fries. The appetizers did not disappoint. The sliders were flavor and freshly made. The fries were so crispy. The main course also didn't disappoint. I had the Jerkalya and my friend had the Penne Pesto. I loved my dish. It had the right amount of flavor and kick. She said the Penne Pesto was good and said she would try it again. I would definitely try Locavino again. The staff was very friendly and the wine selection looked interesting even though we didn't do any drinking.

Yelp
Locavino is a small business in Downtown Silver Spring, but their wine selection and food quality are high-end! It's tucked away a bit, but if you can find the ice/roller rink in DTSS, you will see Locavino. It's a go-to spot for me when I'm finished partaking of the year-round Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Ordering is quick and easy; you're given a menu at the counter, and your food and wine are delivered to the table you select. I really think alot of thought is put into the foods they offer, and it's absolutely delicious! I like to grab a seat near the window if I can, to watch the fun happening in the rink. The staff are very friendly, and I can tell that they have been taught about wines because any time I've asked for a recommendation, it's spot-on! The vibe is casual and classy, and I highly recommend Locavino. Please support our small businesses in DTSS!

Yelp
Went there for a bday drinks and dinner. The place is cool and casual. Huge wine selection including the local Maryland options. Eggplant fries and sweet potato fries were very tasty. Came with honey mustard sauce and tomato sauce. Not greasy. Jerk chicken wrap was good. Price is lower than I expected for this area. I ll be coming here more often.

Yelp
Came to Locavino to eat and kill time before a movie across the street. What better way to kill time than drinking wine! We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and there was plenty of indoor seating of various table sizes from high top 2 seaters to tables for 6. By 6:30 the place was full. There are a few outdoor seats as well. While the by the glass menu is limited, the prices are affordable and the menu extensive. The Goat salad had a heap of spinach and the chicken was well seasoned. It was dressed quite heavily so in the future I'll ask for dressing on the side. Still tasty. The burger definitely hit the spot. Everything tasted great and appropriately priced! There's a few beers on tap and a nice selection of wines and local DC cans for purchase. The parking lot for this building is a nightmare so we parked in the paid lot across the street by the theater. Good place to go for dinner and a show. Will return!

Yelp
I got the pesto pasta, which was delicious. My friend got a Caesar salad and he enjoyed it as well! We sat outside and chatted, it's a casual atmosphere. The food came decently quickly and we had leftovers.

Yelp
This has become a staple for my wife and I and it is probably our favorite restaurant in Downtown Silver spring. the prices are very fair and they have a great happy hour and weekend special. Happy hour is 4-7 Monday to Friday with 25% off apps and drinks by the glass. The weekend special is a perfect date night. $49 two entrees, an appetizer or desert, and a bottle of wine. The staff is always super friendly and have allowed me try a few wines before making a choice. Finally the food is delicious. While not a vegetarian, I eat less meat than most and they have plenty of vegetarian friendly options. Two of my favorites are the rosas falafel tacos and the fake and cheese. Their fries never miss because they have a great texture and always come hot. Also they do wine tasting on Tuesdays! How neat!
google avatar

Kristen H.

Yelp
I went here for dinner and loved the atmosphere! It is the first fancy wine bar I have been in where I can wear a t-shirt and feel totally comfortable. The dining is casual but the food is definitely not! A large selection that is really good quality. I had the tomato basil soup and it was by far the best thing I had! So much yum :). The servers were nice and quick and dealt with my dads food allergy really well. I can't quite get this place to five stars since most of the food didn't blow me away, but I'm excited to come back and maybe I can get it to five stars in the future!

Yelp
Came back again for Friday date night and got here earlier, which was a good call - there were plenty of tables. I had the moscato again because of course I did, this time they had the sweet sake my husband tried to order last time and he liked it. I tasted it; it was good, I could definitely drink it, but I've been dreaming about that Moscato since my last visit so that's where it's at. This time he had the jerkalaya I had last time, and I ordered the soup of the day (Jambalaya) and the grilled cheese. The soup was VERY good. It was like a sausage stew kind of, no rice so still a soup and not actual jambalaya but very good cajun flavors. It came with a hunk of their delicious garlic bread. The grilled cheese was very good too; probably had a little too much spinach, as it overwhelmed the sandwich a little. I just took it out and ate it on its own. The blend of the cheddar, jack and marscapone works really well and can't go wrong with sourdough and tomatoes. I forgot to ask them to sub the salad for chips; my bad. The chips were fine, pretty standard potato chips, I was just really needing something healthier to balance the meal. I would definitely get this soup again and the sandwich can make it into the rotation.

Yelp
Locavino is located in the heart of downtown sliver spring. I decided to pop in for a quick lunch. I had the fish tacos and a glass of moscato. The atmosphere is very quite and peaceful. Perfect lunch date or place to read a book and have a glass. They have a good selection of wines for purchases They also offer wine tasting on Tuesdays. I am excited to attend their tasting and also try the weekend special.

Yelp
They serve some if the best spaghetti and meatballs I've ever tasted. I had a nice and enjoyable experience here. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Given the rave reviews, I was definitely underwhelmed by locavino. The staff were friendly and helpful, the vibe is definitely casual (order at the counter, find a table). We came for happy hour - the Sauvignon Blanc was a bit bland (from Stellenbosch rather than NZ so missing the grassy acidity). My friend liked her rose, but the offerings by the glass were pretty limited for a wine bar (and no flight options). Prices were on the high side for a place without table service ($8-$14/glass), but they have a generous pour. Most of the negatives were around the food. There was barely any avocado on the avocado toast, and who puts rosemary in with smoked salmon and avocado? The combination was terrible. My sliders were also mediocre- they didn't ask me how I wanted them cooked and they were well done rather than my preferred medium-rare. My friend said her shrimp pasta was overwhelmed with lemon... And she loves lemon. Don't think I'll be back.

Yelp
LOCAVINO is one of our favorite spots in Downtown Silver Spring. I first tried them via GrubHub and then went with my wife in person after we purchased her wedding ring and with my dad and his family for dinner after they came in for our wedding. Their wine and beer selection is great and they have a happy hour deal on drinks by the glass and appetizers. Our favorite food items are the Rosa's Falafel Tacos, Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon, and Eggplant Fries. Unfortunately they did not have the Phillip's Crabcake Sandwich for my family that wanted crabs but don't blame them due to supply chain issues. We have also gotten drinks here to go and my wife went to get the Union Craft Black is Beautiful beer that Fenwick did not have and I got two packs of the Cherry Blossom cider from Supreme Core that our rehearsal dinner guests loved the next night.

Yelp
I was visiting the Silver Springs area and saw Locavino on Yelp so I gave it a try. I had a wonderful experience. First off the Jerkalaya I had for dinner was delicious. So flavorful - jerk and jambalaya spice with some creaminess added to it - so good!! The service was good as well. You just order at the counter and they then bring the food to your table. Also bought a bottle of red wine there that I had later and it was very good. I would like to return there someday.

Yelp
Meet my friend for lunch af this super cute place! Food was reasonably priced and very good! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Food is great and the prices are reasonable. I was really surprised at the menu variety for a cafe like this. Got great service from Talin. Will definitely be going back.

Yelp
I've only been here a few times but every time I go I wonder why I don't go more often! We went for an afternoon snack on a cold and snowy day, and got a table overlooking the ice rink. It was warm and cozy inside. We ordered a VERY reasonably priced Sauv Blanc (I'm talking like $22 bucks) and some smoked salmon toast to start. It was perfect. I really wish I had gotten the name of the young man who was working the counter. He was so pleasant and attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the store and the wines. We bought some wines to go as well and can't wait to go back and try the rest of the food. It's such a great little spot and their menu is surprisingly extensive! I loved that they had wines from all over the world, but also featured some great local vineyards and breweries. It's a great location and the perfect spot to stop in for a treat before a movie, after shopping or just because!
google avatar

Raven M.

Yelp
Food is fantastic, I love the more casual vibe. Great beer and wine selection. Highly recommend the jerk chicken wrap, the pastas are also good. Flatbreads are only okay. Highly recommend for dine-in as well as take out!
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
I've been here a few times, and aside from being a good place to get a glass of wine, the soups and entrees actually reasonably priced for 2023 and is actually good. I did overpay a bit for the $10 pretzel...but they do good pours of wine. I like that it's not usually crowded and it's a perfect place to have a good conversation. The downside is that it's right across from Veterans Plaza so sometimes the ambiance is ruined by the street evangelists and events there. I recommend sitting inside if you can :)
google avatar

LaNysha F.

Yelp
When you walk in, the smell of tasty Italian really envelops you. I ordered the Gouda burger and my husband got the jerk salad. The chicken, dressing, and avocado addition were stellar. That jerk seasoning - wow! Pure spices, no sauce. Everything about that salad was fresh and they were very generous with the chicken. My burger was good. They didn't melt the Gouda, but the different kinds of Gouda added so much flavor that I didn't mind. The parfait for dessert was a definite wow. The soul music playing in the background makes me want to give it six stars! Their list of wines and beers were VERY impressive! Weekend special for $49 includes two entrees, a bottle of wine, and dessert. We will most certainly return to take advantage of this deal.

Chris D.

Yelp
Great food and drinks. Very friendly staff. Overlooking the park. Great place to have a conversation. Not too loud and nice tables for two.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Unfortunately this place was underwhelming. The restaurant is cute and they have tons of wine and beer options. The menu seems like it would be great, but the execution missed the mark across the board for us. My husband got the John Fahey (blue cheese) burger which was supposed to be medium well, but it was very well done and the burger was flavorless. The truffle fries barely tasted like truffle and same for the truffle Mac & cheese. The Mac and cheese had so much cheese and not enough pasta (practically like a cheese soup). The Bruschetta bread was super dry with no oil or flavor to it and the tomato's tasted fresh out of a can. There was no seasoning on anything. Giving it 3 stars for the vibe and drink options.

Yelp
My friends and I ordered some takeout from Locavino this evening and HOLY COW!! Their very Gouda burger was absolutely phenomenal! I learned tonight that the secret to their show stopping burgers is that they marinate their patties in wine for some time and they are simply life changing! I've had an array of different gourmet burgers in my time, but none of them were quite like Locavino's flavor. After tonight I'll certainly be coming back to try the other for burgers in time! I also got to sample both their potato and sweet potato french fries which were each equally scrumptious and came with a delectable house made remoulade. The side fries were so good, I'd order them by themselves! My best friend ordered the linguine with meatballs and was quite satisfied with her meal as well (of course I tried some of her meal too). The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the meatballs were tender and the sauce was well balanced and flavorful. Tonight's takeout was 100% SLAMMIN'. 10/10 would highly recommend checking this place out!!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite neighborhood places to eat out. The wine is great (and delivered with a generous pour) and the food is great. Whether you're meeting friends or want to tuck away in a corner with a book, it's welcoming and comfortable.

Yelp
i was pleasantly surprised by this place! i noticed this while walking from cava a week ago & decided to stop by without doing any research. i've been to some wine bars around moco but i haven't been to one with this expansive of a food menu! we had the chicken club was delish & so were the truffle fries. it's dark in the restaurant ; kind of lowkey & romantic. we had a bottle of riesling that was great & the service was super friendly. we went on a freezing cold sunday night & it was still pretty busy. i'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Locavino is a relaxing wine bar that offers the same vibe as Adega Wine Cellars & Cafe, the restaurant that previously occupied this space. The menu consists of a selection of burgers, salads, wraps, flatbreads and a nice selection of wine that you purchase by the glass or bottle. You can sample wines before you buy them. Food and drinks are 25% off Mondays to Fridays from 4-7pm. This is a great place to catch up with friends and try a new wine. The food is average, so I wouldn't recommend coming here just for the food. Tip: Sit at the high-top table near the window to check out the action around Veterans Plaza while you eat.

Yelp
Awesome place for food and wine in Silver Spring. We did a tasting on Friday night and then bought some bottles to enjoy with dinner. We had the fake and cheese sandwich (portobello, peppers, onions, and cheese on a baguette), penne pesto, and sweet potato fries. All were delicious! Very good quality food paired with delicious wine? Can't go wrong with that! For beer, cider, and lovers of other libations, there are other options. We need more places like this in Silver Spring!

Yelp
Have only tried this spot for takeout and am willing to give it another try because we really liked the chicken Alfredo, tomato soup (so full of flavor), and the crispy French fries. But the grilled cheese was disappointing - barely any cheese, very undercooked, vegetables on it were cold. This restaurant has a great location in downtown Silver Spring and there were a lot of tempting items on the menu.

Yelp
4/5 only because I don't give 5 stars for anything but exceptional experiences. Good prices, good service, and good food in a good location. This place definitely deserves a visit if you are in downtown Silver Spring.

Yelp
I have walked by this place a number of times and finally decided to stop in and I'm so glad I did. They had a great selection of unique wines and great food. The fries and flatbread were delicious. We had a great view of the downtown ice rink and had fun watching those out on the ice.

Yelp
I had their Carmenere Red wine and the truffle Parmesan fries for happy hour. I was around the corner and had a stressful day at work so it was a sweet surprise. The wine was great. I think the fries could've had more flavor but they were fresh which made up for the lack of flavor.

Yelp
Their Gouda burger and tomato basil soup were excellent . I will definitely plan on returning to try more things on their menu

Yelp
The veggie panini was really great! Pair it with a bottle of the Riesling. Can't wait to go back.
