Spectacular ambiance. Set in a high-ceiling room in what seems to have been a space designed and used by an old style bank, the eclectic artistic decor is well twinned with the delectable offerings. We ordered the lockbox share board, and that country classic, biscuits with gravy. The board came with pimento cheese and deviled egg spreads, country ham, house pickles, crackers and biscuits. We shared it all and savored every bite with some well-brewed fresh coffee. Very attentive staff. A pricey indulgence for breakfast, but certainly well worthwhile. Enjoy!

Good was exquisite. The cocktail menu had too many amazing drinks to choose from. We decided to share our food amongst the table, and I would highly recommend doing this to ensure that we try all the delicious offerings. We loved our slow-paced dinner and plan to visit again soon.

We stayed at 21c for a concert and utilized the $40/off “Dine with Art” deal. We had supper on Thursday night and our server, I believe his name was Derick (blonde) was excellent. He had great recommendations throughout the night and we tried a few things that were new to us. Cocktails were tasty. Let’s talk about the mushroom ricotta appetizer! Wow! So unexpectedly amazing. It was so flavorful and unique. Same with the beet salad. Definitely not something I would cook at home, but really enjoyed. We split the pork chop and the brine flavor was incredible. This was a great evening’s meal. Thank you!

Warm Griddled Banana Bread! Crispy Potatoes! Oh, and Shelby was delightful and we enjoyed getting to know her in between bites. The coffee was also perfect and the atmosphere was everything. 10/10 will definitely visit again whenever we’re back in the area.

Located in 21c Hotel. Loved the art on the walls! Atmosphere was great! I ordered an item on a new menu and somehow the ticket didn't make it to the kitchen. Management apologized several times and removed cost from our check. Mushrooms and Grits were okay. The mushrooms/broth had a sweetness that didn't seem to belong. My husband had Biscuits & Gravy & it was good. Fried potatoes were very crunchy & well seasoned.

Great Sunday brunch! Wonderful soothing music. Nick was a great waiter. Food was amazing. We had Eggs Benedict. The coffee was wonderful. The banana bread was outstanding! They were able to accommodate for gluten free.

My husband and I dined here for our 1 year anniversary a few nights ago, and it was our first visit since the kitchen changed hands and the interior underwent a renovation. While I’m sad that the weather art installation over the bar is gone (it was SO unique), I do like the separation of the bar and dining spaces, it feels much more intimate somehow. It was Sunday night and therefore not terribly busy, but the ambiance was super nice and we had the full attention of our server. I’d venture to say we liked the apps (hushpuppies and lettuce wraps) better than our shared entree (quail) and side (mac and cheese), but every dish had vibrant flavors and great textures. He enjoyed dirty martinis while I treated myself to a bottle of Prosecco (he helped a little), and we were too full for dessert. Afterward we strolled the art galleries (open 24 hours!) before heading home to our sweet baby - a very successful parent’s night out!

Google
Great atmosphere. I’d you like art, you’ll like this place. Very limited menu. The food was good, not excellent, but good. I like the one better in Louisville, Proof 21c. LBGTQ friendly and promotional. lots of artwork.

Yelp
Food: The food was great! For an appetizer we got the Shakshuka appetizer and it was delicious, every one of us cleaned our plates. For meals we got The Shrimp and Grits, it's a little bit of a heavier meal but it was delicious and earns the title of the best entree we ordered. We got the burger, frittata and the chicken sandwich as well; all were pretty good but not showstopping. Service: We were sat promptly but all the staff was not really conversational, not that that's a bad thing just something to note. Food came out a little bit slow as well but it was worth the wait. Ambiance: the ambiance was amazing, basically in an art museum, really cool vibe in the center of downtown and right across the street from the courthouse. Super fun! 8/10 experience and would definitely come again!

Yelp
I had dinner at the Lockbox with a colleague when we were attending a conference. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. We split a salad and split an entree, and it was enough for us. The service was very attentive and fast. It's a great setting with unique architectural features.

Jeff P.

Yelp
Beautiful space inside an old bank ! Our breakfast of a granola bowl and a frittata were perfect . Service was impeccable.

Joyce A.

Yelp
Lockbox has added Sunday night family dinners to their menu. This is your opportunity to indulge in an exquisitely curated selection of three courses for a shockingly low fixed price!!! Tonight's offering was beyond my wildest expectations. I think my Sunday dinners are planned for as long as Chef Holden and his team continue to offer this fantastic opportunity. The entire staff is welcoming and offers a perfect level of attentiveness. Is it obvious that this is my favorite restaurant?

Yelp
Staying in the 21C hotel, didn't have high hopes for the limited breakfast menu. But it was excellent. Smoked sausage was very tasty, appeared home made. The crispy (paprika?) breakfast potatoes, great. Side of sausage gravy also good. Great service from a young lady with the prettiest hair.

Liana P.

Yelp
Food was fantastic, ambiance was amazing, and the service was awesome. Would 100% recommend!

Lora C.

Yelp
Not in a hurry to go back, but it was fine for brunch today. Limited brunch menu. Used Open Table to book the reservation. Out of the 4 of us, 2 would order what they got again to eat--the cheeseburger and the eggs Benedict. The sausage breakfast sandwich was too salty. The salad Nicoise lacked seasoning and was just bland. The bloody Mary's were too spicy. The crispy potatoes were delicious. Someone next to us got the banana bread with cream cheese frosting, which looked amazing. Bathrooms were clean, but you have to go a level down. I didn't notice the elevator until it was time to come back up. Taking that flight of stairs down was tough in heels. If we do come back to the Lockbox, we will probably hang in the bar area and just have drinks. The art on the walls was also interesting and the staff was friendly and generally attentive.

Yelp
Every now and then you visit a place that the food matches the pictures and the comments. The food here is excellent. It's modern American southern cuisine and they hit all the right notes. My burger, first and foremost, was perfect is every way. A hand made fresh meat patty blending flavors with pickles, hot red onion and their version of a 50s style drive in sauce served on a buttery crisped brioche bun that was just the right size. The flavors all came together in a menagerie of happiness. I also ordered a side of charred broccoli which was neither soft nor crunchy nor burned. It was perfect. The Pimento Mac and Cheese was creamy and pimento-e or exactly what you'd want to experience. The cheese was crusty on top and was never dry. The blend was made and baked with care in mind. The service was good and attentive and the drinks were just ok. I wouldn't suggest going for the cocktails. The food was out of this world and it's clear the chef and/or owner put a lot of thought and love into their product. The touch of providing cotton candy with the check is a wonderful accent. Highly recommend this place if in the hood!

Yelp
Lockbox may be inside of 21C Museum Hotel, but it's more than just a hotel restaurant. During our weeklong stay here we dined in once and ordered room service twice. Everything we had was delicious! Room service orders were delivered within 30 minutes and had everything we needed to enjoy our food. The food was always hot and delicious. Our breakfast here on the last day of our stay was in a group of about 30 people. The service was great and they handled our large group well. They even asked how we wanted checks split up at the end. The hours here can be kind of odd so definitely check their site. Breakfast is available at 7am on weekdays, but on the weekends it's brunch only which doesn't start until 10am. This was a huge bummer our first rainy morning there after arriving at midnight the night before. They don't offer weekday lunch either. The prices here are so reasonable! Even my Midwestern parents thought it was inexpensive. We were all pleased to have this restaurant in our hotel. Our favorite item here was the Biscuit and Gravy and we ordered it every time. Oddly, this is only offered as an a la carte item instead of a meal. The biscuit was flaky and flavorful. The sausage gravy had a delicious, peppery flavor with plenty of crumbled sausage. The Warm Griddled Banana Bread was so good! It was toasty on the outside with flaky, sweet banana bread inside. The Gem Lettuce Salad was huge with fresh ingredients. The dressing was light and refreshing. Side cups of fruit were plentiful with fresh fruit. Even sides of toast came with tasty jam. Lockbox is a solid breakfast/brunch spot if you find yourself in this area!

Kim R.

Yelp
The old fashioned was made with Ky Straight ice, always a nice touch. The charcuterie board was really tasty and the cheeseburger was decadent. So good! We sat in the bar area which had a relaxed vibe, and checked out the art in the lobby and the downstairs area after we ate.

Yelp
Ate at Lockbox for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We stayed at the hotel there and had reservations for right at opening. We a were seated right away and were surprised when a famous couple from HGTV was seated at the table next to us. We tried to give them privacy and not "fangirl" while they had breakfast. Anyway, service was great and food was very good as well. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast before taking a tour of Ashland just down the street.

Sara D.

Yelp
Ambience is fantastic. Service was great. Appetizers were really good but mains were not interesting. We left hungry and the main meals were sub par at best. We would have left super satisfied had we had just cocktails and appetizers. I love the space and wanted to love the food but it was lacking flavor.

Carrie B.

Yelp
Service awesome food marginal. Table of 5 of us. It used to be so much better years ago. My husband couldn't even finish his risotto. My gnocchi was ok. I mean sorry to say marginal food at best

Maddie C.

Yelp
Me and my daughter and 2 of her friends went on a Monday and obviously I am 21 and my daughters and her friends have been 21 for months. However, the girl at the front and the manager insisted that we were not and we were turned away. I do not recommend this place, bad service, rude staff, and incorrect ID noticeability.

Brooke B.

Yelp
My family had reserved a private room at Lockbox for my brothers graduation dinner. I had signed a contract with my credit card for reservation weeks beforehand, but when we showed up they said there was a glitch with their computer and they already rented the room to someone else. That wasn't the greatest news since we were looking forward to a special night with family, but they sat us at a large table in the main dining room anyway. They gave us a few appetizers for the inconvenience which we appreciated. Our food was good and I especially loved the salad and the cheeseburger, which tasted like a deluxe Big Mac. Overall, I would come back, but I don't know that they are very reliable when it comes to reservations.

Joe R.

Yelp
Food was outstanding. Some traditional items but a few unique things like Shakshuka from Northern Africa that was outstanding! Service was friendly and competent. Ambiance was chill. Maybe a little background music would help.

Laura C.

Yelp
Service was impeccable. Went for Sunday breakfast and was able to order a burger and fries. It was exactly what I needed and loved every bite of it. Would gladly recommend to anyone.

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
The food is delicious - the most tender enormous meatballs I've had in years with a zesty tomato onion sauce; an impeccable salad with a unique lemon sorghum dressing; and an amazing hog chop with pea tendrils and purée- a taste of Spring in the mouth! Ruby, our server, was engaging and attentive. Love the sassy artwork also.

Kayla K.

Yelp
Farm to fork - they say... my fork enjoyed French toast casserole, a classic breakfast sandwich and a farm egg frittata. All dishes paired nicely with my mimosa and the temper tantrum.

chad v.

Yelp
I always enjoy stopping in for a drink or a bite to eat. You can't beat the atmosphere. And enjoy a nice drink with friends and the superb service can't be beat. Thank you everyone

Yelp
When we visited Lockbox, we didn't know quite what to expect, but we went away having enjoyed a completely delicious meal and a wonderful overall dining experience! To begin with, the atmosphere was really cool; there was a lot of fun art and the overall vibe was both laid back and fancy.  The wine list was fairly short, but it had a number of what looked like really nice selections, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Everything we tried that night was great, but the best dish by far was the Pork Chop.  It was brined, and so thick it was almost ham-like; quite unusual and completely exceptional! The service was warm, welcoming, and friendly; the prices were surprisingly low given the overall quality of the dining experience.  Highly recommended!

Holly H.

Yelp
My Husband and I celebrated Thanksgiving dinner there and it was amazing. The service, food, beverages, everything was wonderful. Large portions, homemade sweet pickles, warm soft cornbread. What an delicious way to celebrate. We will be back!

Dee H.

Yelp
Third or fourth visit but first review. Best service in town and the chicken was to do die for -perfect blend of flavor and texture. Would love to see a more robust wine by the glass menu and a few more (or just different?) dessert options.

Julia P.

Yelp
The food is fantastic! The atmosphere is very divine. The service was amazing, the staff is very kind and helpful!

Yelp
Came to Lockbox because I heard they had a really good burger but I was disappointed. The picture on the site showed lots of cheese on the burger but it did not taste like any cheese was on it. Also, I ordered it medium well but it was more like well done. If I were to go back I would get medium. The fries, which I was so excited about (I love fries!), were overdone and hollow on the inside. I sent the fries back and the fresh batch was better. They were not overdone but still had a hint of old grease flavor. I sat at the bar because they were booked with reservations. There was a big group at the bar of out-of-towners at the bar that were just huddled around (some waiting on reservations). I say this because it may have contributed to the slow service. Overall, the service was not too good. The only item I received without waving the bartender down was a glass of water when I first sat down. After that I had to get her attention to order a glass of wine and food. She was not friendly but she was not rude either, except when I had to send my fries back because they were fried so hard that only air and grease was left (at that point she seemed annoyed that I asked for a fresh batch). After 10 minutes eating the fries she asked if they were better. Not sure if the busyness contributed to the service but it definitely could of been better.

Yelp
My wife and I were downtown on a Friday night looking for a dinner spot but had no reservations. We were able to grab a high-top table in the bar area and still order off the complete menu. They have a fun, imaginative cocktail list that changes regularly, a comfortable bar area, and the regular dining room is also a nice experience. We've eaten here several times over the years and never had a bad experience. The food is really good. The menu is small but changes regularly and always has something for most anyone. And, after dinner, you can walk around the 21C hotel art exhibits. This is a must-visit spot when you're in downtown Lexington.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Definitely re vamped their menu and had a small, but satisfying selection. Great variety for all preferences from vegans to meat lovers. The waitress was not noticeably attentive to our needs: water cups were empty for awhile, two people ordered steaks and didn't get their steak knives. We had to ask for a lot of things that we felt they should have noticed. The "gem" salad was by far my favorite item I had. The bok choy entree did not have a ton of flavor, but still thankful they had a vegan option that wasn't just pasta. They have re done the inside decor and that also stood out. Fun trees, lighting and darker, rich colors to set the intimate atmosphere.

Michelle T.

Yelp
My birthday dinner...well I have a soft spot for this place! The people are so kind and the ambiance is pretty chic for Lexington! I have spent the last three birthdays here. Next year, I would like to eat in the vault, maybe for lunch!!!! So, the vote from the table was that the burger was the best dish of the evening. The fries were a touch too oily this time, but every one was crispy! I had the salmon, well cooked. Wish I had tried the carrot soup and the fried oysters, but it would have been too much food. The biscuits are ALWAYS a yes, but better with jam and butter than the pimento. I MISS THEIR CAULIFLOWER SOUP! (It is about 2am right now. I am going to bed.) Don't miss this place, it is special!

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Really good but super expensive for such a small city. Chicago prices but again, very good. The trout was excellent, decent sized salad. My daughter had a good New York strip and the hush puppies had a nice southern twist. For $25-$30 an entree though they should throw in a potato or a salad. A piece of bread?!

Jack S.

Yelp
Fantastic experience all around. We had our 18 month daughter with us and with info from the reservation a high chair was waiting for us. App was house fries, perfectly crispy and uniformly cooked, great aioli. Blue crab wedge might be the best wedge in the city, Russian dressing had the perfect amount of kick. NY strip with the bordelaise and mushroom was perfect. Potato purée light as air. Burger outdoes anything from a fancy steakhouse and only $17 with another large side of fries? This place rules. Quick and friendly service, good cocktails. We will be back. Extremely impressed.

Ben S.

Yelp
Adding Brunch - 4 stars on that one too. Had the biscuit sandwich and the best part was definitely the biscuit.

Jeremy R.

Yelp
Believe it or not, I had never visited Lockbox until very recently. Some friends and I decided to stop in for a cocktail prior to dinner. Their cosmopolitan is wonderful. I also tried a vodka soda and enjoyed that too. Their COVID regulations and guidelines are the BEST I've seen from any restaurant or bar. Upon entering, your temperature is immediately taken. You then go to the host stand. They only allow parties up to 6 I believe. At the host stand, they take your name and phone number. The phone number is used for tracing purposes in case a COVID case is discovered. I didn't try any eats, but I'll definitely make sure to try some next time. I love the location of Lockbox. It's centrally located downtown so you're close to all the restaurants and bars in the area. It's also attached to the 21C Museum and Hotel. Parking is easy. They do offer valet or you can use street parking or other parking areas downtown.

Angelina E.

Yelp
This place caught my eye the moment I got into town. Was able to get a table on a slow Sunday as a walk in; I imagine you would need to make reservations on Friday's and Saturdays. We ordered the Kentucky Bibb salad and the beet salad as well as the pimiento Mac n cheese and Summer succotash for our meals. Everything that was served to us was sooo yummy and very flavorful. The Bibb salad, while simple, had amazing flavor and the beet citrus salad is one of the best I've ever had. Seriously. Both those salad plates were practically licked clean. My entree was very light but such a good flavor profile! I have never had anything like it. The Mac n cheese was pretty damn good and the pimiento made it that much more interesting. I was pretty full after devouring all my food but I had to try their dessert! Ok so maybe I tried two but one of them was to-go so it's not like I ate everything in one sitting. ;) All I have to say is I am happy I got to try both desserts but the olive oil cake was my favorite of the 2. Service was attentive and, although our waitress was training, she was efficient and friendly and the young lady who was training her was very good at her job and knowledgeable about the restaurant and the 21c museum hotels in general. I appreciate well informed staff especially when I'm traveling and not from the area. I am so happy I chose this restaurant to eat at on my last evening in Lexington!

Lynn E.

Yelp
Our group went for a birthday and we go to a lot of restaurants. The decor was neat but we sat in the vault and you would expect the vault to look like a vault and it really was bland. The food was good but nothing really to write home about. The dessert menu had nothing on it that made us want to try something therefore we passed. Appetizers were out before we even ordered our main food. When we did order it was probably 40 minutes before we got our food. The server was friendly but when I went to the bathroom. She was extremely busy and I believe we became an afterthought in the vault.

Andrea J.

Yelp
What a let down. I was excited to eat here because I love 21c hotels. However this was not the experience that I was used to. I'm going to make a pros and cons list to make this review easier to understand. Pros: -hardly anyone there so it was not hard to get a reservation -the pimento cheese appetizer was amazing. Those biscuits would be amazing with honey butter too!! Get this!! -I requested that a penguin dine with us, and I was scared with COVID that they would say no. However, my request was granted and this made me smile!!! Cons: -the menu is very very limited. -it took a looong time to get our starters. -I ordered the salmon, which was tasty, but my broccolini was cold. Bad timing. -the corn cake dessert was bland. -my coworkers were not impressed with their risotto (I've had it before, the farro adds a different texture so I'm not a fan) -our server's appearance was sloppy and did not seem to care about us as guests. This should be a 2 star review, but our special guest penguin gets the extra star.

Kate B.

Yelp
Wow! One of the best meals we've had in recent memory. You must have the Smoked Trout toast points and the cornmeal fried oysters ! The Kentucky Bibb lettuce salad was full of beautiful flavors and finally the Farro Island salmon was superb! Our server made the entire experience lovely! We were just passing through Kentucky so glad we stayed at the Museum C hotel and ate at Lock Box !

Amanda S.

Yelp
I will start this review by being honest- both times I have been to dinner at Lockbox it was because we were trying to dine someplace else but the wait was too long! That being said, both times I have been to Lockbox I had a wonderful meal and great service. On my most recent visit, I had the cauliflower dish and it was ab-so-lute-ly amazing! It had lentils and a chimichurri sauce, which I wasn't quite sure what chimichurri was when I ordered it, but it was delicious. A liiiiiiittle heavy- but very fresh tasting- perfect for a spring menu. I should add that the cauliflower served was a substantial amount! Easily half of a head. We had the order of doughnut holes to split for dinner and those were great as well- we loved the dipping sauces! The drink menu is very long and extensive- good for some, overwhelming for others- myself included(!). Its also made with metal and is very heavy; which I think makes it difficult to pass back and forth to others at the table. The restaurant is downtown, so with that comes parking difficulties as well. If you haven't dined at Lockbox though I definitely recommend the experience! The space itself is truly beautiful- I love the colored glass on the ceiling when you enter!

Robert M.

Yelp
Came here for dinner after a forced family reunion. Me, my brothers, cousins. We were a bit rough and the place was striving to be upscale and refined. Not sure it pulled it off, but we had fun seeing each other for the first time in years. The drinks were spot on. I can recommend the old fashioned and Manhattan though I'm sure the bartender can kill most anything. I started off with the Country Ham & Cheese Hushpuppies. Do not get these. They tasted as good as any other home made hush puppy but had no flavor of ham or cheese but were very pricey for less puppies than you would get at Long John Silvers. The Diver Sea Scallops more than made up for it. Exceptionally flavored and cooked scallops over a weird rice meal with brilliant sugar snap peas. This was GOOD. I went with the PB&B cake after. It was decent but I wouldn't try it again. Seemed too dry, but maybe that's how it should have been. The waitress was fantastic as was all the staff. At the end the manager came to check on us. This was maybe the first time a restaurant manager didn't sweep by like a seagull not really wanting to know what goes on. He was fully engaged and interactive. Kudos to him.

Yelp
Best brunch I have had in Lexington so far. The fries are some of the best I've ever had, and the salad was a generous portion. The banana bread was delicious as well. This might be my new favorite spot!

Jenna L.

Yelp
Another outstanding anniversary dinner at Lockbox! This was in September, so some of the items are no longer on the menu but I included photos so you can see the fresh, local ingredients used and beautiful plating. Always grateful when they split the entree for us, since we fill up on delicious appetizers, salads and sides. Cannot wait for our next celebration with their exceptional culinary team!

Jasmine D.

Yelp
Our First review for the Lockbox in Downtown Lexington was a review I couldn't wait to do. Because the restaurant is attached to the 21c Museum, there is a very beautiful art piece hanging from the ceiling and friendly guests waiting when you enter. The museum is free by the way, but just call ahead and/or book online. When you enter the restaurant area on the left, there is a guest waiting and offered you to scan the Code Box with your camera on your Smartphone to view the menu. This is a safe contactless way for restaurant guest to view the menu. Then menu offered a variety of items from salads, beef, chicken, and numerous of sides and desserts. I had the burger and fry (sometimes I'm big on trying different things but I wanted an American Favorite that day). They have the choice of rare, medium or well and I had medium-well. My burger was good with all the "fixings" but slightly greasy, but hey it's a burger lol. A group of friends and I tried their Fried Chicken, Lockbox Cheeseburger, Pimento Mac and Cheese, Warm Apple Pie w/ Vanilla Ice Cream. It was good and we will return. There is valet and street parking but we parked on the street behind the restaurant.

Keegan W.

Yelp
Great Thanksgiving dinner and cocktails in a beautifully renovated former bank. Service, food and beverage quality, and the setting were all spot-on!

Daniel C.

Yelp
Lockbox is a bright, gorgeous restaurant located in the Museum Hotel. Lots of cool art and photo images adorning the walls, along with a big blue penguin in the dining room. I came here for Breakfast before checking out of my hotel. The menu is somewhat limited, and is different from the brunch menu where you can get chicken and waffles. I ordered the Cast Iron Eggs with a side of sausage. Super rich, creamy eggs mixed with tomatoes, salsa verde, and avocado. Fresh mixed greens on top to add some texture and alight bitterness, and a thin layer of grits underneath as a bonus! I enjoyed these with a side of their sausage, which turned out to be three large and thick patties. An excellent breakfast spot!

Juan O.

Yelp
Whatever you do when you visit here, please don't ask for bacon during brunch. We can put a man in space but the concept of putting bacon to sear on a griddle for a few minutes seems to baffle the team here. But to be clear the unavailability of bacon occurs only during the weekend brunch and it depends on which day during the weekend. If you order bacon during Saturday brunch, you may get it, but if you order it on a Sunday you'll befuddle the staff. The manager explained this discrepancy by basically throwing his kitchen team under the bus by saying that bacon isn't part of the prep for weekend brunch. Strange, I always thought you simply opened the bacon package, pulled out a couple of slices and threw it on the griddle. Apparently, that simple axiom doesn't apply here. You want some kids' food options during brunch? I suggest you get your little humans used to eating adult food or don't bring them to brunch here--it isn't kid friendly. But then again, that also depends on the day you visit. Aside from the ineptitude of the management, the food is very good, the bartenders are very nice, and the the drinks are exceptional. I give this place a solid two stars.

Kelly J.

Yelp
I love Lockbox! I haven't had a chance to make it in for a full meal yet, but I hope to do that soon. In the meantime, grabbing a drink at this spot is fabulous! The atmosphere is awesome! It's upscale modern, but you can come in dressed casually (no need for cocktail attire, I've been in wearing jeans and a sweater). For a casual drink I prefer to sit at the bar, though they do have a cool seating area with couches. My go-to cocktail is the Odd Forester, but the bartenders are great and will help you decide on something, or whip you something up, if needed. They also have plenty of other spirits, plus beer and wine to choose from. Something cool, they have a cocktail called Clearance, Clarence that's made with milk clarified bourbon. I had never heard of this, and I was surprised to learn about it from our bartender. He even gave me a sample shot. It's extremely smooth (no whiskey burn) and really interesting. Lockbox is located in 21c, so you can also check out the museum before or after your meal, which is an added bonus. And, if it's not too busy when you're in, be sure to walk around and explore the restaurant as well. There's an awesome bank vault in the back for private parties that's reminiscent of a prohibition-era speakeasy bar set-up.

Yelp
This French toast was the BEST French toast I have ever had. When I first got my plate I was shocked by the look of it but the taste and everything was AMAZING. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Lockbox is a gem in the 21c Hotel. We went there for brunch and returned the next night for dinner. Every dish was delicious. Servers were very friendly. Recommend a reservation on the weekend. It was pretty busy.

Yelp
We celebrated our sons law school graduation at the Lockbox last night . They were super busy with all of derby eve and college graduation guests. Nonetheless the cocktails, food and service were flawless. I hate to say that I don't think about going downtown to a hotel restaurant but now I will. Amazing.
