Been to LoCoco's many times and shocked I've never left a review. This place is consistently amazing. One thing I really love about this restaurant is that you can come in jeans and a t-shirt or you can come dressed up a bit, I've done both and felt equally as comfortable.
For tonight's visit, we got there right as they opened at 5pm and were seated promptly (without a reservation). Service was so warm and welcoming, going so far as to unfold our cloth napkins and place them on our lap. They brought us the most amazing focaccia and Italian bread with a green olive tapenade, all delicious.
We decided on their Costolette D'Agnello (grilled rack of lamb, rosemary sauce), Tortellini Romana (cream, prosciutto, peas), and Rapini (broccoli rabe, garlic, chili flakes). Husband's lamb came with potatoes, Romano beans, onions, and some kind of red sauce that he said was amazing. My tortellini was fresh and the sauce was decadent and delicious. The broccoli rabe was something new for us both. For the longest time I've wanted to try it so I was excited to see it on the menu. It's served perfectly sautéed with garlic and red chili flakes, and our server was kind enough to top it with fresh Parmesan. I will say that this vegetable is different- don't expect it to taste anything like broccoli (I knew going into it that it was really a cousin of the broccoli plant and closely related to the turnip), but do expect a decent amount of bitterness. I enjoyed the stems the most, they're very tender and mild in flavor.
As per the usual, our experience was top notch. Food was impeccable, service was friendly and attentive, ambience was comforting. If you're looking for top-tier Italian food with amazing service, I highly recommend LoCoco's.
