The Best Restaurants In North Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"Even on a rainy Saturday afternoon, Locura Marina’s entrance crowds with families eager to eat big bowls of arroz chaufa, ceviche, and pitchers of chicha morada. This is the best Peruvian option in North Beach thanks to seemingly bottomless portions and highly reasonable prices. Our favorite dishes are the sampler plates of ceviches and causas. It’s all delicious and enough food for a professional athlete. If the weather is cooperating, take your leftovers to the beach across the street and continue your ceviche party with an ocean view." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

The Best Ceviche In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"When it comes to ceviche, the word “sampler” usually implies smaller portions. Not here. The sampler trio comes with three cereal bowls of ceviche mixto in lime juice, rocoto, and ají amarillo. The sauces are on the creamier side, yet still thin enough to effortlessly plunge your spoon back in for sevenths and eighths. The rocoto leche de tigre is spicy (especially if, like us, you tell your server that you have a high tolerance for spice). But the other two ceviches balance the spice with acidity and a slight sweetness. Somehow, all of this is under $30. If you crunch the numbers, that puts each massive bowl at about $9, which is unheard of for ceviche this good." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer

Expect big portions and huggable service at Locura Marina - Review - Miami - The Infatuation

"This North Beach spot makes seemingly bottomless bowls of great Peruvian classics at highly reasonable prices. Even on a rainy Saturday afternoon, the entrance crowds with families eager to eat big bowls of arroz chaufa, ceviche, and pitchers of chicha morada. Our favorite dishes are the sampler plates. And the concept of “sampler” functions a little differently here. Instead of smaller portions, they just serve you full portions of different ceviches and causas. It’s all delicious and enough food for a professional athlete. The manager and servers greet regulars with hugs and kisses, which only fuels your desire to become a regular, too. If the weather is cooperating, take your leftovers to the beach across the street and continue your ceviche party with an ocean view. photo credit: CLEVELAND JENNINGS / @EATTHECANVASLLC Food Rundown Ceviche Sampler Mixto These big bowls are the antithesis of sample portions. As a mother of three would unwillingly admit, we do have a clear favorite, and it’s the rocoto. The combination of heat and acidity elevates it above its siblings. photo credit: CLEVELAND JENNINGS / @EATTHECANVASLLC Causa Sampler Locura Just when you think your favorite is the causa topped with pulpo, you have a second bite of diced shrimp and second-guess yourself. Truly, these causa quadruplets have no weak link. And like the ceviche sampler, the portions are so big that we thought the $18 price was a typo. It’s not. photo credit: CLEVELAND JENNINGS / @EATTHECANVASLLC Chaufa Special We wish there was a bit more soy sauce in this chaufa, but it’s still a glorious medley of carne asada and seafood with a decent refrigerator lifespan in case you don’t finish the whole thing. photo credit: CLEVELAND JENNINGS / @EATTHECANVASLLC Mazamorra Morada This purple goopy dessert is like eating a jar of warm jam. It’s topped with cinnamon and the sweet purple corn balances out the tartness from the fruits inside. photo credit: CLEVELAND JENNINGS / @EATTHECANVASLLC" - Mariana Trabanino

Google
I had a wonderful dining experience at Locura Marina. The menu features classic Peruvian dishes prepared with care — the ceviche was fresh and zesty, the lomo saltado was well-seasoned, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff were professional and friendly, helping with recommendations, and the restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Great for a casual dinner with friends or a special meal. Highly recommended for authentic Peruvian flavors.

Google
Best Peruvian food on the beach. Great breakfast lunch and dinner specials. The place is always busy which is a testament to how good it is. Love the ceviche even have vegetarian ceviche. Menu is huge. Great papa huancaina can even get it on top of pasta. The staff never seem to change and they are always working. So they know the menu inside and out and they recognize you if you’re regular. Norma is my favorite. Good drinks menu decent amount of beer. If you like Peruvian it’s the place. It has everything.

Google
It all started with cravings for Pan con Chicharrón and ended with two very satiated bellies. Surprisingly, in a city of so many great Peruvian restaurants, not a lot of them offer pan con chicharrón, a classic Peruvian breakfast. Walking into the restaurant I was immediately transported to Paracas in my mind, a sleepy little fishing and tourist town on the southern coast of Peru. Something about the decor and the relaxed yet festive vibe took me there instantly. They were very busy on a Sunday morning but seated us right away at one of the only available tables left. We ordered a “Desayuno Lurin” which is basically a “build your own” pan con chicharrón plate served with a tamal and then we ordered a standalone pan con chicharrón. We figured we’d split the tamal and both have a sandwich. The waitress very kindly suggested we start with just the desayuno Lurin as it was quite large. Don’t you love when the wait staff are looking out for you more than their own check size? I do, and as a result she got a much bigger tip. Plus, she was right - it was huge! But aside from the size it was absolutely delectable. Perfectly crispy pork that didn’t have too much fat, nice soft sweet potato, perfectly made sarsa criollo, and fresh baguette. And the tamal was absolutely perfect with succulent bits of chicken inside. Omg we were in heaven and, by the end of it, stuffed! But we still made room for a lucuma tres leches, which I had never tried before, but ever the fan of tres leches I had no choice. 12/10 highly recommended!

No parking spots. Park on street. Pay to park. You can call, text or download the app. Amazing location. Beach just 1 block away. Hotels near the area. Clean premises. Nice staff. Delicious food. Affordable prices. At restaurant, pay card or cash.

Wowww... Love, love, loved this place! Possibly the best prices, portions, etc. for Peruvian cuisine in Miami!! We were brought here by a famous local chef friend of ours and were super impressed🤩. Only regret was not taking more pics. Unbelievably! They have lunch and dinner specials that not only are extremely affordable, but very generous in the portions also. Especially for being in Miami beach. For our group of 7, service was excellent with fast and very attentive servers. Who seemed like the owner/manager👩‍🦰 was very sweet and elegant, she nicely went around ensuring everyone was well taken care of. I ordered one of the $17.99 lunch specials that included a healthy sized mixed ceviche as app, steak risotto and a passion fruit juice. Yess, only 17.00 for all of that! The Ceviche had great flavor and the portions were impressive for the price. Dinner specials are only about $5 more. Our friend ordered a Jalea (fried seafood mix) and woww! Huge portion that could easily feed 2 to 3 people offering an even bigger one lol🤯. Our out of town friends were on vacation from Peru and also loved it. Specials price was similar or even better than what you'd actually get if you were actually in Peru. Impressive 5 stars for us, all the way! If I recall correctly tip is included on bill but well deserved. Definitely revisiting any time we go to Miami. Current menu is in the pictures attached to this review. If your in that area going there is a must, do it😁!!

Google
This is one of my favorite go to spots for ceviche and Peruvian food by the beach. The ceviche mixto is absolutely delicious, although any of them is so rich in flavor and so well prepared. I also order the Lo Saltado, which is a simple dish with beef, rice and fries, with tomato and onions and soy sauce. Very nicely condimented as well. My son loves the Alfredo and green pasta , chicken breast is always on point and not too dry. Pescado a lo macho has a yummy, creamy sauce that compliments the fish quite well. Also, the side of veggies we ordered included zucchini, espárragos, red onions and other delicious vegies so different from the usual Frozen veggies from usual places. LOVE THIS!! SERVICE: OUTSTANDING!! Love everyone there. They go above and beyond to keep you comfortable, seated and served right. VIBE: inside it gets a bit loud. It’s pretty but the people talking and level Of the voices is too much. I always go and sit outside in the winds current; I. Personally like it better. Check out the lunch menu!! Def. Worth it!!

Google
We had a great dinner at Locura Marina in the North Beach area of Miami Beach. We ordered off the $22 dinner special menu which includes a choice of appetizer and entree. The ceviche mixto was super fresh and flavorful, a perfect starter. The lomo saltado was tender and savory with just the right balance of fries, rice, and sauce. We shared the tres leches lucuma dessert and it was a standout—sweet, creamy, and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and attentive, and the prices are amazing for Miami Beach given the quality and portions.

I wish I would’ve known of this place sooner . My favorite go to from now on ! The food is amazing with freshness and high quality the purple corn drink is just …wow.

Yelp
What a gem! If you are a food lover and in Miami Beach THIS is the spot! We ordered: * the grilled pulpo (which is the best I've ever had) accompanied by grilled cheese and sweet corn kernels. The Charles was fantastic and didn't sacrifice the delicate tender octopus. *ceviche mixto with a bright limey sauce such tender seafood. *mixed seafood with garlic rice and a savory garlic sauce * passionfruit sours *cheesecake with passionfruit gelee I ordered the chicharon sandwich the next morning and it was fantastic! Don't delay... eat and enjoy!

Yelp
Drive past this place all the time. Decided to try their lunch special. Grave mistake. We were seated, only one other family in the entire restaurant. They had an abundance of staff, yet we sat around for sometime. We had our server stop by and we ordered immediately. She disappeared for quite sometime, never coming back to check on us until the appetizers were brought out. I asked for hot sauce for which she agreed and disappeared for another 10 minutes. During this time, I noticed my food was placed on the side of the dish and not the center. As I inspected, I realized the plate it was sitting on was unclean and filthy with stuff crusted on the plate. The server never showed up back up and I had to get the attention of another server who ended up helping out. I was so disgusted, I didn't touch my food, refused a replacement and cancelled my whole order and left. I really wanted to like this place as I love Peruvian food. Very disappointing,

Yelp
we came from a recommendation of a friend and it was really good. The chica sour was so good. If you love chica morada you will like that drink. Our food was really good and came out fast. We did not have to wait long for a table. The decor was very cute for Halloween. The music was also great. We will definitely be coming back

Yelp
I had a great experience here but I only ordered pickup. I got the mild ceviche mixto which was absolutely perfect, everything I'd want from a ceviche. Portion was very generous and was ready very quick

Mrrcy D.

Yelp
Food and service has always been good, but tonight, we had reservations, they sat us, and a customer asked the manager for our table. The manager approached us and asked that we move to another table because those customers have been going there for many years and had priority. I felt extremely insulted and was ready to leave but my husband asked that we stay. I will not be going thete for a very long time, if I ever return.

Yelp
This review is only for the food, doesn't include ambiance or service. I love love love the food here. My favorite is probably the ceviche mixto, which is huge and with a hint of spice tastes amazing. I do think it has a lot of fish and not enough shrimp and octopus. The Piqueo Locura is another one of my go-tos when I'm hungrier. It comes with ceviche, seafood rice and fried calamari, which are all excellent. The chupe de camarones is also super good. Has plenty of shrimp and it's very generous. Would love for the rice to come on the side instead of in the soup. It also takes a loooong time to get to the table.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I just happened to walk by this restaurant and decided to dine here. The portions and price points are incredible. The full red snapper came with two sides for $25. That's unheard of! The ambience is casual or you can dress up as well. I would definitely recommend this place for a low key vibe with fabulous price points. We had multiple servers that were constantly checking on us and cleaning our dirty plates.

Yelp
If you love great food and you're in Miami Beach, this is the spot. We had the grilled pulpo -- the best I've ever had -- perfectly tender and flavorful, served with grilled cheese and sweet corn. The ceviche mixto was incredibly fresh, with a bright, limey sauce and tender seafood. The mixed seafood with garlic rice was packed with flavor and came with a rich, savory garlic sauce that tied everything together. We also had passionfruit sours, which were refreshing and perfectly balanced, and finished with the cheesecake topped with passionfruit gelee -- creamy, tangy, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I have to be honest, I had no idea about this restaurant, can't blame me that much I rarely make it to this side of town when I'm in Miami. But definitely I'll be coming back very often. Let me tell you why, the restaurant is completely unpretentious and has one of the best Peruvian food in Miami. I thought Ceviche 105 was top notch, but this restaurant is cheaper, the food portions are bigger and food is even better. The environment is very chill as you may expect in this side of the beach. As for the service it was great and quick even for a Saturday afternoon. Bottom line if you don't live around, plan a day in the beach and have lunch here and trust me you will thank me

Yelp
Located across Collins Avenue from the Bandshell (and near where the Full Moon Party) is held, I had the chance to stop at Locura Marina this last week when my friend Vancy recommended it. Don't let the name fool you, as it is not only seafood! We were able to get in right before the dinner rush, and from what I heard there's always a full house of locals. It is definitely a hidden gem. I started with a glass of white wine, a cool & crisp way to unwind from Music Week and get in the mood for the Moon. My appetizer was their Causa Limena. This potato dish, with the black pepper in the egg and Mayo dressing, is far from boring. You can definitely notice the kick! As far as a meat dish, I really liked their Pollo Saltado, basically a chicken stir fry with teriyaki sauce, grilled veggies & and helping of crispy fries. All of this was on their dinner menu for $20. Yes, this isn't an April Fool joke! The portion size was enough to have leftover for lunch. I would definitely stop by again!

Yelp
Best Peruvian restaurants in north beach Miami. From the cold Peruvian beers, to chicha morada, And all their different ceviches which are super fresh, this place hits the spot. The grilled octopus is to die for it comes with which corn, pieces of cheese and a generous amount of grilled octopus that has perfect texture and melts in your mouth! Any ceviche you get will be flavorful and fresh. Cant go wrong with locura Marina, it's a must try if you're looking for Peruvian food

Yelp
Today we are having a mix ceviche picante and yuca a la guancaina, food is always good here , the place is not fancy at all but it has good Peruvian food for a reasonable price , we can say is a every day kind of restaurant. We had pisco soured and they were great , his with sugar mine with no sugar. Service is always fab , ambience noice but ok. Try it you won't be disappointed!

Ralph M.

Yelp
The food was good however the service was lacking they seem to be very busy that night but again the food was very good I would still recommend the place.
google avatar

Paulet D.

Yelp
My coworker told me about this hidden gem in north beach so we decided to get takeout one day during office hours. They have a great lunch menu for about $15 which includes and appetizer, entree and a drink. I was shocked at the items on the menu. Apps such as ceviche and entrees like fish and lomo saltado. I got a salad and lomo with a nice cold sprite. The servings are perfect for the price. Fresh and delicious food for under $20 in Miami Beach - a must try! Ordering was easy, the receptionist was nice and recommended a few dishes. Payment was taken in the restaurant during pick up. There is street parking available but I recommend if picking up, go with someone who can get down and grab the food quickly. The order was fast no wait at all. Will try again soon this was delicious.

Yelp
The food is very good and the service is awesome! It's a neighborhood restaurant, no frills. BTW the price is fair. I have been several time to Locura never disappointed. Would go back again.

Yelp
I stopped by Locura Marina last month for lunch with my mom, she was craving their Piqueo Locura so we stopped by on a Saturday. The place was busy, as always, but the good thing here is that their service is pretty quick. I ordered a classic Kola Inglesa, which is a red, Peruvian soda, it's really good! My mom had some Chica Morada which is a typical Peruvian drink. It's made out of blue corn but it's delicious! We then ordered some Yuca A La Huancaina to start with, yuca was good, it was cut and fried. I have noticed in some Peruvian restaurants they make a kind of a yuca croquette instead of just frying the yuca. The huancaina sauce was ok but pretty runny. For the entree, we shared the Piqueo Locura, it's a very good portion to share between two people. The dish is a sample of 3 different dishes including the Fried Calamari, which was good, Ceviche, which was ok, the fish felt overcooked by the line and didn't feel so fresh, and Seafood Rice, which was ok too but it had way too many calamari in it. Overall it was ok, I feel their quality has decreased to what it used to be. The restaurant itself is ok and simple but the service is pretty good and quick!
google avatar

Monica B.

Yelp
Food was authentic, fresh and served in BIG portions. I had a humongous vegan salad while my date and friend ate ceviche and the dinner special. Service was great, bilingual and kind! Ambiance was busy but not crowded and spacious between tables inside. The women's bathroom was dirty but staff were extremely busy with filled long and small tables inside and outside.
google avatar

Steve E.

Yelp
My moms Peruvian friend recommend this place to my mom, who became a regular patron. I did not know what to expect on a Sat. night. Its a great atmosphere, ambience, staff super friendly and offered recommendations. The food was fantastic. Drinks were great w an extra shot on the side. Sangria was loaded to the top. Prices were very reasonable and good value. This is my new go to spot in Miami and will come back again.

Yelp
Here you will find that the atmosphere is relaxing, the service is extremely accommodating and attentive, and the food is impeccably sumptuous! My favourite beachside Perviuan in Miami Beach!

Rolando N.

Yelp
Food was great and fresh . Service was really excellent and very clean establishment. I'd def recommend coming here for Peruvian food if Miami . Lunch specials are great

Yelp
The best Ceviche restaurant in Miami Beach! Highly recommend the food is Amazing... great service... people serving you are always very nice.

Yelp
Food was great. Portions are huge. Service is friendly. Get the anticucho de corazon! The tuna potato appetizer was an unexpected gem. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
This place has so much potential to be an amazing place but honestly the staff is clueless at their job, extremely slow and do not really understand what the client is asking for. The place is beautiful and food pretty decent but only if they made the service more enjoyable and pleasant trust me this would be a place to go to.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic peruvian cuisine - we had lunch catered at work from Locura Marina, and the food was excellent. The papas a la huancaina with eggs and olives, arroz chaufas with shrimp, lomo saltado, fries, and ceviche were flavorful and fresh. The hot sauce and green sauce were homemade and truly added a flavorful kick. The lucuma mousse with chocolate cake was delicious! I highly recommend Locura Marina Peruvian Restaurant!

Yelp
Deceptive practices: I was visiting Miami recently. My family lives in the area and are regulars at this restaurant. We come for the excellent ceviches and pisco sours. On Wednesday, Dec 27, 2023, four of us dropped by for a late afternoon lunch. Everything went well and we even ordered take out for family members who could not make it. The otherwise excellent experience was marred by an ugly, and more importantly, deceptive practice when we were presented the bill. Initially, we were presented with a bill that listed only the total amount due. There was a blank line for "tip" and "total" below that. No other information was presented. (See Photo No. 1) We then asked for an itemized bill. (See Photo No. 2) Only then did we learn that $36.59 was already included as a gratuity charge. When asked about this charge, we were told that they add 20% to all customer bills. Irrespective of this alleged practice, presenting a bill without full itemization of charges that already includes a tip and then include an area to write in a tip (not "additional" tip) is a deceptive practice. A customer could unknowingly be duped into tipping twice. Beware of this practice if you chose to come here. I call upon restaurant management to be more transparent and take affirmative measures to insure full disclosure of billing practices.
google avatar

Kimberly K.

Yelp
It's been a while since I reviewed the place and I'm here to say it's as amazing as ever. Try the ceviche, or the beef tenderloin from the app menu (not offered on the lunch or dinner special).

Katy Y.

Yelp
I was invited to dine at Locura Marina after hearing great reviews. The experience did not disappoint. Waiting time was decent for a Sunday afternoon. Our server was welcoming and was Knowledgeable about the menu. The courses arrived shortly after and the flavors were on point. We ordered Causa de Pulpo, Arroz con Mariscos, Pescado a lo Macho and Seco de Res. Throughout dinner, about five different servers checked on us and remained attentive. Noise level is medium and not too loud to carry a conversation. I appreciated the overall staff positive attitude and disposition. Congratulations to the owner for hiring the right talent and training them well.

Yelp
Location: Miami Beach. Collins Avenue with 72nd street. Excellent location. One block away from the ocean Ambiance: Small outdoor seating. Beautiful indoor seating. Lots of peruvian art in the restaurant. Food: as a peruvian myself. I am a little biased. Food here is good. What is more appealing to me is that they offer lunch and dinner menus. They consist of one appetizer and one main dish. For lunch time, soda or chicha is included. For dinner, wine is included. Price for lunch is around 17$ plus taxes and dinner 20$. This is probably the best peruvian food you can get for your money. Sure, there is better quality of food in Miami ( Ceviche 105 or Dr. Limon) but you need to spend 2 or 3 times of what you will pay here. Service: overall is good. Be mindful that this place is very busy. So waiting time can be a little longer than other places. Taipá would be the other restaurant that competes with price/quality

Yelp
I've lost count on how many times I came to have lunch & dinner at Locura Marina. We've probably been 15 times. I always order the same special: ceviche de pescado picante as appetizer and lomo saltado as entree... do yourself And favor and order these 2 items. They have a really good lunch and dinner special deal. Best ceviche & lomo I had from a Peruvian restaurant in Miami.
google avatar

Antonella T.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! We got the lunch special which were reasonably priced! It included ceviche and I got the seco de res and my husband got aji de gallina. Both very delicious! It also included drinks - we got chicha morada. We ended our experience with ice cream de lucuma. It was very authentic and delicious- we had been in Lima earlier this year so it definitely compared.

Yelp
Great ! Ceviche was exceptional! Tostones fresh and crispy. I have enjoyed every visit. Good prices

Yelp
This is a cute little spot with very good food. They have amazing lunch and dinner specials, so take advantage of those! I got an app, entree, and a drink for $19! One of the most delicious and cheapest meals I've had in Miami Beach all week! They get pretty busy and service gets slow so be patient.
google avatar

Yelp
We had a prix-fixe dinner here for $20- an appetizer, entree, and glass of wine- a total steal and a great option, especially for a weeknight.

Yelp
When the joint is filled with happy locals at midweek lunch, obviously doing something right..i really enjoyed the fish filet in red pepper sauce, with onions and sweet potato, part of a lunch special with numerous entree and app options, great deal. dont miss the clearly homemade killer hot sauce..

Yelp
Love coming to this neighborhood Peruvian restaurant! They have lunch and dinner specials. You choose an appetizer and main entree. There is always plenty of food. Good serving portions. The staff is friendly and greets you with a smile. Delicious!!

Natalia G.

Yelp
This is my favorite Peruvian place. Their lunch special is the best. Great flavor and quality and decent portions. I always get the lunch special with the ceviche mixto, lomo saltado and a chicha morada to drink . 10/10. Highly recommend. The atmosphere of the place is also lovely and the staff is so friendly.

Kristin T.

Yelp
GREAT FOOD ! Loved the lunch special, really an amazing deal ( appetizer & entree for $15 ) ! Food tasted fresh, & came out fast. The restaurant is clean and super inviting! Definitely will be going back for the lunch specials !

Cynthia R.

Yelp
The food was delicious! The service was excellent and they pay attention to detail. We had the ceviche and tamales con cerdo, both were fresh and had great authentic taste. The portion is size was good and enough to share for two. It was brunch time. Loved it!!!

Yelp
Been living in north beach for 7 years and i am literally kicking myself in the ass for not coming here sooner. Our neighborhood has a handful of Peruvian places and all of them pretty much suck. They are overpriced for small portions and nothing special. Had a ceviche craving recently and finally decided to try this place as it's always PACKED. Wow. I have been messing up. Insanely tasty food , very good prices, and fantastic service. I'm sitting here now for their lunch special which is truly unbeatable. Perfect sized portion of ceviche appetizer, lomo saltado, and a juice for 14.99? It's so hard to find reasonably priced good restaurants these days. This place is a gem.
google avatar

Julien H.

Yelp
Great lunch! Staff were quick to accommodate our large party, even at a busy time. The food is absolutely awesome for the price. Nothing fancy but good hearty food. We always appreciated the friendly casual ambiance as well. Great spot to visit after a visit at the beach!

Yelp
Talk about deliciousness. I was looking for a local Latin American restaurant and I stumbled on this little gem. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but it's a nice little place inside. The decor was nice and they even had the Halloween decorations out just in time for spooky season. I ordered the whole fish which comes as a large fried snapper and 2 wedges of lime. Sprinkle some lime juice on the snapper and enjoy. The meal comes with 2 sides and I chose the sweet plantains and mixed veggies. Let's talk about the drink called Maracuya sour. This is the passion fruit flavored version of the Pisco sour (which I should add) is the quintessential Peruvian drink. I was very impressed with the drink. It had a nice blend of ingredients. Sweet, light and refreshing. Well done The service was superb. The server was friendly and helpful. Overall, great food and drinks. Would most definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
This is the best ceviche I've ever had. Also you absolutely have to get the fried loca appetizer with (I think) grouper, calamari, shrimp, mussels and clams. Don't come if you're in a hurry because they're always packed; service is friendly and hospitable, however slightly slow and sparse. They accept Apple Pay. I'll definitely be going here every time I visit Miami. My mother-in-law raves about this place and I see why. Ceviche!

Yelp
Been here at least 4 times and they never disappoint especially with that $15 lunch special that offers an appetizer, including fish or mixed ceviche, a main entree like a lomo saltado which is my go to because it's delicious and a juice or soda. Lunch special used to be $13 but inflation changes thing; even then it's still a bargain for everything you can enjoy because a ceviche alone would normally cost between $8-15 and a lomo saltado between $15-18 so it's a hell of a deal. Service is always top notch and joint has plenty of space including outside seating.

Yelp
This place had been hyped up by so many friends around me. I had to try it. Apparently its been here for a while with quality food and quality prices. Food was good, I wouldn't say amazing, but everything was good and tasty, service was outstanding, ceviche is fresh and they have so many options. Oh and their portions are great so you can easily share. They have affordable traditional Peruvian meals for a great price.

Yelp
During our staycation my good friend who used to live in Miami Beach recommended us to eat at Locura Marina Peruvian restaurant. For being a Monday night the place was packed to the bone and luckily we were able to catch a table. They brought us warm bread rolls with a seasoned oil spread which were a delicious distraction while we wait for our waitress. We decided to order three dishes, a fish ceviche, tuna causa, and choritos de La chalaca. The ceviche was very fresh and came with three different peppers in the juice which gave it a nice kick. The Choritos de La chalaca is a ceviche type dish which contain sliced mussels and salsa. Very tasty and fresh and I like how they use soup spoons instead of the traditional shells. The causa was made with Tuna, and of the three it was the dish we least liked but it was still decent. For dessert we ordered the picarones (Peruvian donuts) which were excellent with the perfect texture. The staff were super friendly and made you feel at home in their cozy restaurant.

Yelp
The good: Simply the best! My family thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here for my husband's birthday. I made reservations by phone and they were accommodating, even when I had to call to tell them we'd be 15 minutes late. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They had amazing $20 dinner specials that included an entree, drink and appetizer. The appetizers in this combo were full sizes that were shareable so the value was unbeatable (especially given that a lot of the options are seafood!). I tried the seafood ceviche and loved that you could add a kick and it spicy. The lime and acidity were just perfect. My aji de gallina main meal was the first time I had anything like that and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The amarillo sauce was perfectly seasoned and not too salty or bland. It was refreshing to try new flavors. The dish didn't look visually appetizing but it was oh, so delicious. I also tried my MIL's fish stew dish with rice and it was a 10/10 as well. She was thrilled with her dish and ate the entire thing despite thinking it was too big at first. My husband got the mariscos al ajillo and the sauce was perfectly with deep and complex seafood flavors. We met some locals here who were Peruvian so that was a nice affirmation that this place must be authentic and yummy. I tried the flan and meringue dessert with dulce de leche. Both were delicious. The bad: The outdoor dining tables are plastic and aren't as fancy or classy looking as the inside. It doesn't properly illustrate the indoor atmosphere. They ran out of tres leches cake when I came. The interesting: You can make reservations on their online portal. I liked how my table had a little reservation card with my name and time on it. It made me feel like a VIP. This Peruvian experience left me wanting to eat Peruvian everyday.

Yelp
The lunch special alone is worth checking out this place!! You get a drink, appetizer and relatively large lunch main dish for such a great price. I love ordering the steak lomo. It's always so juicy and tasty!

Yelp
Stopped in today with my lady before a quick beach trip. Been meaning to take her here for quite some time having been here a few times years back and knowing how they had some great lunch specials ($11.95 for an appetizer; entree and a beverage). Ive always loved North Beach, and this spot has a perfect location for when you want to stay away from the larger crowds but still be on the beach vibes. Each of us today started with the ceviche mixto. Being big ceviche fans, and her being Peruvian. We were both very impressed. The fish was 'cooked' perfectly, having not been left in the juice too long. It was perfectly spicy and refreshing. Usually, we each order a different meal but today we both went with pescado a lo macho--a fried fish fillet topped with a creamy seafood sauce. This was my first time having the dish, and it was very good--even though I usually stay away from fried food. We each also ordered the chicha morada, which was a little sweeter than I like, but was still very good. All in all, this is a great stop for lunch after a day at the beach if you're lucky enough to have a weekday off.
