The Best Lunches in Nashville

"Lunch in Locust’s small, bright dining room feels like being in a treehouse, though the treetops are replaced with a street-level view of the swarms of bachelorettes that trot through the 12 South neighborhood. It feels serene inside the blonde wood-bedecked dining room, however, where chef Trevor Morain and his crew make the magic happen. Seafood is a large focus here, from icy cold oysters to a perfectly folded omelet stuffed with delicate crab to Nashville-style hot swordfish. Fun and funky wines, gin tonics, and shots of horseradish vodka all march in a flavor parade that can’t be found elsewhere in town (or anywhere, really)." - Ellen Fort

Google
I recommend this place. If you are ready to try some of the best cider you'll ever taste? This is the place. Over 22 different types of ciders to choose from from pineapple coconut vanilla bean juicy peach watermelon to Apple and many different flavors. They also carry a variety of beers on tab and in can. They have snacks like cheesy bread plain tots dusted tons pretzel bites and so on. Inside and outside seating. Outside seating has tents. Plenty of inside seating. They also have some old school games from back in the day Nintendo and Sega with over 120 plus games. Comedy nights are every first and third Friday. So come on down and have a drink and some laughs. The best part about comedy nights is that they're are free, no cover.

Google
Had the Cherry Glider and it was great if you like sweet ciders like I do! Great atmosphere with plastic cups of you want to walk around the Belmar area. Nice little shopping area, too.

Google
Not your average cidery (stole that from a fellow reviewer)! The drinks have a large variety of dry to semi sweet. Food is super delicious and fresh. I live in the neighborhood and will definitely be returning for happy hour! I recommend everything!

Google
Best cidery we have been to in Denver area. Amazing flavors , I think they had 16 ciders on tap to choose from , with options that weren’t all dry (this is important for me). Nice sized flight and they had plenty of board games to choose from. Family friendly too! We will be back.

Google
Huge selection of draft ciders plus cans and growlers to take home. Indoor and outdoor seating, plus some board games available. Bartender was friendly and helpful when we were picking out flavors for a flight. We went with the dry cider (their most popular), watermelon, peach, vanilla bean, blueberry, and blackberry. The vanilla bean was the standout and I liked it so much I bought some to go lol. The watermelon and peach were also both very true to their namesake flavors.

Google
Big laughs, really great ciders and the people who work here make everything so fun! I love performing stand up comedy here every 1st & 3rd Friday of the month. Definitely worth checking out as the vibes are just right and the flat bread pizza will hit the spot! Come for the delicious flavors, stay for the comedy!

Google
Came here for the first time. I have only had a cider last Halloween. Anyways, I was curious, and NINA was beyond helpful and so great. More businesses need employees like Nina! She ans a answered all my questions and so knowledgeable. I'm an IPA drinker and she pointed me the right way! Did not eat food, ate prior I'm sure it's good.

Google
I had a great experience! They have lots of yummy ciders to choose from with lots of size varieties. I got a flight of four ciders and mini corn dogs, both of which I enjoyed. It's clean, nice and new, with lots of space to spread out, and a big patio to sit on. If you like any ciders or want to try flatbread pizza, give Locust a visit!!

Yelp
I'm on a mission to try all the Denver area cider houses and I can't believe I haven't made it to Locust sooner! In one visit, it has quickly risen to my top five. In fact, two of the Ciders in my flight made me sit back in my seat with eyes wide open. They were absolutely delicious! both of those flavors were temporary, seasonal offerings, but truly each flavor was vibrant and unique. If you make it in time to try the chai spice or the cinnamon cranberry, I highly recommend both! They also happened to have a mulled hot cider that was incredibly aromatic and perfect for a cold day outside. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I hope we can visit again soon!

Yelp
We met a friend from out of town at Locust and it was the perfect spot for drinks and small bites. We got the Fort Worth flatbread and the pretzel bites to share and then we each got a flight. The pretzel bites were great and the mustard dipping sauce really made it. The flatbreads are made on pita bread and are good for sharing. I liked the pork on the Fort Worth but wish there were jalapeños as well. I love doing flights because you're able to sample so much- I tried the original dry, vanilla bean, berry blues, honey pear, juicy peach, and the barrel aged peach spice which was an extra charge bc it's 16%. My husband really loved the peach spice, but my favorite was the original dry followed by the honey pear but all were really good. My husband who usually isn't a big fan of ciders even talked about taking some to an upcoming party we have. We definitely recommend!

Yelp
This is a great place to stop in for a craft cider. The flavors are really unique and cover the full range from dry to extremely sweet. The Dark Cherry is a personal favorite of mine. The servers are really knowledgeable and will steer you to a cider you will love. They even have barrel-aged ciders. They have a free comedy show the first Friday of every month. Check it out!

Yelp
First time here! I've had Locust before but never at an actual location. We went to a movie in Belmar and wanted a drink before dinner; we have the Denver Hop Passport which was nice to get a BoGo cider (especially because my cider was 9.85 which I feel is steep). The bartender was super nice and let me taste the watermelon and mojito ciders - they had so many different ones on top! I ended up with the mojito and it was very nice.

Yelp
Locust is new to our neighborhood - a fabulous addition in my opinion! There's always room for cider and we don't have many cider options IMO. We enjoyed four ciders: Dark Cherry and Black Currant for me (a tad sour, crisp, but with some sweetness). Love both. He had the New England Amber and the Original Dry. Both not too sweet, not sour either. We also enjoyed two of their flatbreads: Fort Worth and the Spokane. The Fort Worth with BBQ sauce drizzled was really tasty. The Spokane wasn't my favorite, but might be better if the olives were chopped and even distributed versus having a few whole olives in various places. We still finished them both, lol. And for starters, he ordered the mini corn dogs. They were surprisingly tasty :) We'll def return to try more of their cider options and enjoy their large space, inside and out.

Yelp
Disappointed. I was really looking forward to trying this place after the good reviews but I was treated short and rudely by the bartender, so that started me off on the wrong foot. He acted like I was asking for the world when I asked to taste a little of one of the ciders and almost didn't allow me to taste. Then, I got a flight of ciders and as I disappointed. I would go to STEM Cidery any day over this place. Way better ciders and friendly service.

Yelp
Locust cider is a fun place to go to with friends for hanging out. They have lots of cider flavors to choose from and I like the variety of games and the spaciousness. The original and pom ginger were my favorite. I was less of a fan of the meyer lemon one, but it was still good. Highly recommend if you're hanging out in Belmar.

Yelp
Okay I'll admit it- I used to be a total beer "purist"...but over the years I've started to appreciate a well done cider and Locust certainly fits the bill. You just can't beat a nice cold cider & hip atmosphere. Locust has tons of options on tap- so you're sure to find something for everyone! My favorite was their Original Dry Cider. It has that perfect blend of crisp & refreshing that I've come to enjoy from high quality ciders. Also really enjoyed trying their Ginger Lemonade and Honey Lavender ciders. The tap room has a super fun energy and their outdoor seating is perfect for a nice Colorado summer day. Locust has several locations too- I'm looking forward to checking out their Boulder tap room soon!

Yelp
Really enjoyed my cider flight. Loved the vanilla bean and ginger (on the sweeter side) as well as the original dry (dryer side per the name). Come check it out!

Yelp
The watermelon cider is TDF. It still haunts my dreams, as I sadly sip lesser, but more readily geographically available, ciders.

Yelp
A MUST DO! The music is great and have such friendly staff. We got the walla walla pizza and it was DELICIOUS! They have outside and inside seating we sat on the bar area to outside. Without hesitation go here! We had an amazing time we actually came back twice in our weekend trip!

Yelp
Finally!! A fantastic cider place on the west side of town!!! Perfectly situated in the heart of Bel Mar, Locust has a great atmosphere with friendly staff. Okay, the important part: The Cider. Delish!! All of them!!! We know, because we tried them all!!! My new favs are the New England Amber, the Apricot, and the OG. Wanna try something amazing?! Mix the Cinn City and Vanilla Bean together. It. Will. Blow. Your. Mind. They also have some flatbreads to try out. We loved this place so much that we bought the membership. Seriously. We'll cya there!!!

Yelp
The atmosphere is really cool and the décor is nice. The ciders are decent, but the prices are pretty expensive. $17 for a flight DURING Happy Hour.

Yelp
If you're a fan of cider, you'll love this place. Service: Great. Have never had to wait for more than 5 mins, and they are always nice and fast about it. One of the dudes who works there is a little intimidating, but I've gathered that he's actually a super chill / nice dude the more I've gone. I guess he has the same misfortune that I carry: A nasty resting bitch face. Food: Great. The flatbreads are all made in house and cooked in ovens, none of that frozen pizza dog food. They take like, 5-10 mins and they always hit especially different with a flight of cider. Come here. Do it. You'll be like me and fall in love and waste copious amounts of money trying every one of their 40 flavors of cider. Worth it. Oh yeah and did I mention they have a club that makes everything cheaper?

Yelp
Something for everyone, even if you don't think of yourself as a cider lover! I asked for recommendations and tried a mixture of the cucumber and watermelon ciders. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and not too sweet! Will be back to try the cherry tart cider for sure.

Yelp
Really cool atmosphere. Clean and new. HUGE selection of ciders. Super friendly staff. Fun music. Dogs allowed inside!!!!
google avatar

Kerissa K.

Yelp
The bartenders here are sweet and attentive! The ciders are also awesome, try the honey lavender or vanilla one if I could recommend any. I don't really like hard apple cider since it can feel one note, but sipping these drinks is both enjoyable and gives the right buzz. None are too sweet, surprisingly! Wine lovers could like this. Would return

Yelp
Locust Cider is a great low-key cidery located in Bel Mar in Lakewood. The chill vibe and friendly staff is just what I needed after a long day of work. Lots of space to sit, including an outdoor patio. They have throwback games and even old school video games for table entrainment and battles with friends. Great way to decide who pays the bill!! Gluten free options galore since ciders are GF. Needless to say I was a happy camper.
google avatar

Yelp
Try the vanilla bean cider and leave a generous tip. Located on a quiet block in Belmar is the hidden gem of Colorado ciders. 16 fantastic cider flavor and a spacey layout makes it hard to leave this modern tap house.
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
Great location and cider! The bartender recommended mixing the vanilla cider with the maple one and it was delicious!

Yelp
Yum! Love dedicated cider places - and they have so many options! Too many options? Their paddle for tasters has spots off 6, and the lady working was so helpful. I tried the elderberry, vanilla, honey pear, lavender, and black current. The honey pear was a bit too sweet and lavender was almost too floral (coming from someone who loves floral flavor, though I'd get a 4oz again but not a full one). The black current and vanilla were my favorites. The elderberry was dry and crisp. Huge spot too. I hope they make it because it's a sweet location with awesome potential!

Kathy H.

Yelp
Went here before a show on a cold and blizzardy night. Giving a high rating on the cider. I tried 2 different flavors and enjoyed both. The small pizzas were surprisingly good when I wasn't expecting them to be. The lacking of 5 stars was the service, but maybe he's typically more friendly. He was unfriendly for 90% of our time there and then all of a sudden got very talkative when he was given the ok to close early by management due to the weather. I will most definitely come back for the cider and thus give staff a second chance. I will try going on a sunny day and see if that makes a difference in attitude.

Yelp
I haven't had much cider, and im not a beer drinker, so I didn't know what to expect when I was invited to go to a Yelp event here. It turns out I like cider a lot! Their cold-pressed apple cider tastes like sparkling Martinelli's (as I hoped it would!), and the vanilla tastes like a grown-up cream soda. I also liked the elderberry, which wasn't so much floral as almost wine- or sangria-like. The place has a nice patio, tons of indoor seating, and really helpful bartenders.

Jonas C.

Yelp
Cider was good. Bar tender had a poor attitude. Only a couple people here. Didn't greet us. Don't look at us when we ordered.

C G.

Yelp
Pros: friendly & helpful staff, nice atmosphere, good patio seating, tasty cider, reasonably priced Cons: flatbread crust was soggy/soft, which was disappointing given that is the only menu option Verdict: would give them another try - has the potential to be a great neighborhood spot
google avatar

Spencer G.

Yelp
Thrilled with the selection of ciders and their selection of take-away options. I tried the currant and lavender-honey ciders and chose a "grunt" of the latter. The staff was very friendly and I look forward to returning.

Joe H.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal spot, Elena the cider-tender behind the bar was just an absolute pleasure and had such a vast knowledge of all the tasty ciders they have. The one thing I will say is they didn't have Barrel of Monkeys available in their game selection and that was a disappointment which is why I had to go 4 stars. Overall though great establishment would recommend but would also recommend they invest in some BOM if ya know what I mean.

Katie W.

Yelp
Great place, for Huge variety of cider, outdoor seating and great flatbread pizza while watching football!!

Allison R.

Yelp
Service is great here, ciders are amazing (and I don't like ciders)! Fully recommend coming here.

Melissa S.

Yelp
Meh, tried several ciders in a flight. Nothing special. We ordered a flatbread pizza and it came out burned; when I said something the server responded with "yeah, that oven is tricky!" Not impressed.

Nicole K.

Yelp
This is my favorite go-to cider brewery. The cider beer is amazing, the staff are super friendly, the place is dog friendly inside and outside. Also, the flatbreads taste amazing!! Love this place!!

Emily G.

Yelp
This place amazing! We live in the area and have been multiple times since they opened. There is a cider for everyone! Their flatbreads are super yummy! The Walla Walla is amazing. The staff is very friendly. They will give you samples until you find what you like.

Caroline D.

Yelp
Great ciders and atmosphere. You have to try the Vanilla Bean and Dark Cherry! Lots of patio and indoor seating.
