Heck yeah, a Locust Cider in my neck of the woods!
I'll be honest... I'm not a big cider fan; like at all. I've found a lot of ciders have a strong taste of iron, which just really isn't my thing. Other ciders are just too dang sweet and I can't have more than one. Locust Cider is the first place that I've found that does it just right!
I was in to check out the space and am so excited to have this so close to me. They've got an awesome outdoor space too. Also a bonus: kid and dog-friendly!
The indoor space is really cool. There's a small-ish seating area that's almost better described as a loft, because you can look over a big open space right into the production area. They also have a couple old Nintendo consoles in the same area!
Since I'm not really sure what my favorite flavor of cider is, I went with a flight. Their flights are pretty solid - six pours at like four or five ounces each! I went with the watermelon, berry, vanilla bean, honey pear, blackberry, and imperial dry.
There wasn't one that I didn't like, but my favorites were the vanilla bean and honey pear, hands down. The vanilla bean reminded me of a cream soda, but not as sweet. The honey pear tasted more like honey than anything else to me, but it was delicious!
Great spot to come hang out with a significant other, friends, or family. Heck - I brought my laptop and took advantage of the free Wifi and got some work done, and that was a great setup, too!
Excited for more summer days + nights spent with Locust Cider.
