"In an ideal location in the heart of the old town, this restaurant has three areas: the main dining room with a view into the kitchen, a pleasantly secluded terrace and Le Balcon de l'Odas, a private lounge with a view of the cathedral. Suzanne Da Silva's bold seasonal cuisine highlights both her origins in the north of France and ingredients from Normandy's terroir: the vegetables come from a market gardener in the Eure, mussels from Mont-Saint-Michel, saffron from the Pays de Caux... and she puts it all to good use in a cleverly devised surprise set menu." - Michelin Inspector

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere that was both elegant and welcoming. The service was impeccable — attentive without being intrusive, and delivered with genuine warmth that made us feel truly special. We chose the 5-course menu with paired wines, and it was an absolute triumph from start to finish. Each dish was a work of art — each dish was a masterpiece. Beautifully presented, with flavours that were perfectly balanced and thoughtfully composed. The wine pairings elevated the experience even further, each glass thoughtfully selected to complement and enhance the flavours on the plate. The setting itself added to the magic of the evening — refined, intimate, and with a touch of understated luxury. If you’re looking for a dining experience that combines artistry on the plate with flawless service and a wonderful atmosphere, L’ODAS is not to be missed.

Food was nice, but nothing too fancy. Unfortunately, the meat course was not really tender as would one expect in such a location. Also, due to being very crowded, the food service was just too slow. For 5 courses it took from12:00am to 03:00pm.

Such a pleasurable dining experience. Imaginative and satisfying with delicate ingredients. I will treasure this experience for many years and look forward to going back.

Waste of money. Disaster New Year’s Eve dinner During the dinner, the experience was ok, if I compare to other restaurants of the same level/ambitions. The duck was undercooked and some other dishes were barely warm enough. Keeping in mind the price (almost 600eur for 2), it fell short of the expectations, pulled up only by a partial view of the cathedral. Less than 1 hour after finishing the dinner, arriving back at the hotel (within walking distance), we have experienced violent diharrea and vomit, which continued for the better part of January 1st. This meant no sleep and various inconveniences that are better spared to the reader. On Friday Jan 2nd, after being able to get out of the hotel, to buy some food (toast bread and rice) and medicines, I went and visited the restaurant to share my experience. It is worth sharing the interaction to warn any potential guests. In a very flat tone, I explained factually the health issues both my partner and I experienced to the waiter (tall French guy, longer hair, a bit wavy). The reaction was: “d’accord” (i.e. “OK”) after each of my sentences (about 4-5 times). He then asked if I visited a doctor (I remind you that this interaction took place on 2 Jan, in the morning) and said that he would maybe call the other guests to see if they had the same issues. He suggested that I ate something else the morning of the 31st, which might have caused it. It was not the case, as we only had a light late breakfast with tea and usual biscuits. Important to note: never once he apologized or at least said he felt sorry to hear about the situation. While leaving, he said “goodbye, get well soon” (“bon rétablissement”), in a dismissive tone. In any case, such situation and subsequent interactions are not acceptable. When you go to a restaurant with such ambitions, and the experience falls short to such an extent, it’s about how you handle the situation afterwards that separates the mass from the great. Apart from the issues with the food, I would encourage the owners to surround themselves with a team who is at the (pretended) level of the restaurant. Putting on a show for guests, presenting dishes is one thing, but moral values are something different and they come out easily (or don’t). Over a week after I wrote a message to the owners on their contact adress, I still haven’t received any reply. Don’t go. This restaurant is a waste of money.

The lunch we had was simply brilliant in every way and is a grand testament to all the team members how well it flows. The culinary vision is at the highest level and it is magical in its execution. What also stands out is how the culinary vision carries over to the management vision and how the team executes together. There are so many magnificent elements of the meal that just keep exceeding the last dish and the bread and butter could easily be considered its own course. No question that this spot is easily a Michelin 1 star!

We had a lovely meal here. After introducing ourselves, we were taken up to a sixth floor dining area with great views across the city and Tomas looked after us very well. There is a selection of tasting menus available, as well as some bonus courses. Several wine pairing offerings also available.

One of the best meals I have ever eaten. The food was spectacular, strong but perfectly balanced flavours, from amazing amuse bouches, through a delicious large ravioli with a perfect yolk inside to a perfectly cooked piece of monkfish with beans, chorizo and a delicately curried sauce, and a delicious raspberry dessert. Everything came as a surprise — you simply choose the number of courses. This was the first time I have experienced this but I really liked it — it added to the anticipation and you ate things that you might not have ordered a la carte… service was great. We ate on the terrace on a very hot day and the parasol didn’t quite shade the table — hence 4/5 on ambience. But it was wonderful and I hope to return!

One excellent female server. Balance of service team was weak. €190 champagne & male server suggested spending twice as much. Bottle not kept at the table & glasses not regularly filled. Surprise menu—lots of “wow” dishes building to so-so main course was disappointing. Male server requested a tip “for the team”. NEVER in 35 years of Michelin rated restaurants have I been solicited for a tip. Service compris.

Yelp
Booked for this place on a Saturday night at 9:30pm Via Michelin restaurants website given that L'Odas was awarded 1 Michelin Star in 2018. We were the last table to arrive given the place was packed even with the outdoor seating available. We were a bit overdressed given most people were wearing casually. I even saw one person with shorts and a Hawaiian style shirt. Feel free to wear comfortable when you dine here. Although the menu had a lot of delicious option we opted to go with them 6 service tasting menu which included three appetizers, two main dishes and one dessert (70 euro per per. We though that the tasting menu will be based on the menu but almost all of the dishes were not on the menu! We started with foie gras, followed by blue lobster and then mussels with beans. All of the appetizers were delicious. For the main dishes we did blue lobster (again) and another fish dish. The cream that came with the blue lobster was delicious. Finally for dessert we were served with dark chocolate mint flavor. Surprising the mint flavor didn't ruin the sweetness of chocolate. Overall a must dine in if you are in Rouen.
