"Trout & Wine at Estancia Atamisque A pescetarian’s dream in a land of beef, Estancia Atamisque’s trout farm supplies the winery’s Rincon restaurant with fresh fish that the chef prepares in various mouthwatering styles and tasting menus. Vegetarians will delight in nibbling on edible treats from the estancia’s fruit and nut farm. Of course all this is to be washed down with Atamisque’s signature wines made with a French hand. If you’re a golfer, you may want to hang your hat for the night in one Estancia Atamisque’s elegantly rustic hotel rooms and wake up for a round of 18-holes that are seamlessly woven into Atamisque’s thousand acres cradled by the Andes mountains. Stunning landscape views from the rooms! The rooms are very large and cozy. The only hesitation is that the property is very large and it can be hard to get around the property without a car (for example, to get from the lodges to visit the bodega it is at least a mile). The staff was very accommodating and gave us a ride when we needed it, but car service does not seem like a service they typically provide. Still, I would highly recommend a stay at Atamisque!

Enjoyed a great time at the Lodge Atamisque. The grounds are amazing where you can walk along the vineyards, golf course and winery. The rooms were great with the fireplace, spacious bathroom and living area and extremely comfortable. The room has a beautiful view of the mountains and on a clear day you can see the distant snow peaks. The dining room was small and intimate and the service made your feel like you were invited to a friend's for an unbelievable dining experience. The food was some of the best I've ever had, including perfectly cooked Argentinian steak. If an item wasn't featured again that night, they would accommodate the request and prepare it. The staff were extremely friendly and ensured all needs were taken care of. It gives a small property feel that a hotel simply can't provide. At any time they would be asking us what else they could do for us. Each request was greated with a smile. There are a number of wineries within a not too far drive so it made for a perfect place to venture out to check out the other local wineries. I can't recommend the Lodge Atamisque highly enough for all aspects of the experience there.

Amazing place to stay while visiting wine cellars in Valle de Uco area. The service is kind and efficient. Rooms were very tidy, great ambiance, excellent heating for cold nights. We used the outdoor Jacuzzi in one of the two rooms we booked. Ours was clean and in adequate temperature (nevertheless our friends nextdoor was not heated, we didn complaint about it since we used ours , big enough for 4) All the property is a "must see". Driving or walking through the vineyards, the lake were they "breed" trout, the olive field, a scenic viewpoint up in the hills, the stunning Cordillera, all amazing. As cherry to our pie, we went to the bodega (which was closed because it was Sunday) to get some pictures. The enologist "Agustin" (not sure is the correct name) showed up, he was looking for something in the offices and ready to leave, but instead he opened the place and gave us a tour. He took all of the time to explain the story of the place and the procedure to get the fantastic wine we finally tasted. His passion for the task he has in that place was moving. Overall a great experience to share with couple and friends. I would not recommend it as a place for kids, the timing of everything you do is "no rush, enjoy!!"

I travelled solo and as soon as I arrived to the reception which was very easy to find, I was welcomed with chocolates and tea. The people were very nice and helpful, always caring and making sure I was alright. The path to get to the lodges was typical from Mendoza and the lodges fit in with the nature. What I preferred the most was the decoration of both the lodges and the reception which was done with very good taste in my opinion. It was rustic and typical from Argentina. The restaurant managed by the owner's wife offered French cuisine adapted to the trout (trout farm in the property along with golf course and winery). Make sure to check the days on which they are open on the website Atamisque. I had a wonderful time there and the setting was beautiful! Enjoy your stay.

We visited the hotel for 2 nights. The checkin procedure is a bit improvised - easily to miss. The way to the hotel is nice and some minutes to drive, so you are far away from the restaurant and farming work. You arrive to a hill where you can overview the beautiful landscape. Around the separated houses its the bold 'sierra' nature. The rooms are spaceful and very nice. Huge bathroom, remembers that you are in a french property. It's clean and comfortable. So for the rooms, there is nothing negative to say - in the contrary this is a 5star. Why I rate it average is because of the food, breakfast and price-service/amenity quality you get (nothing but wifi and breakfast is included). I was very disappointed that being in a winery we had to pay the full price of the wine bottles, dinner was pricy and we thought that in that case the wine must be included. The trout was nice - although I found it a bit earthy in taste. The outdoor area wasn't welcoming as it could be with some small additional easy to maintain touches. The so called yacuzzi is a joke. They tried to make a nice evening ambient, the guard illuminated the torches, disappeared, and after five minutes the fire was gone for ever. I understand that as the rooms are far away from the service area where the employees are, you might only be able to affort one waiter by the hotel area - but then this must be like a multiple talented person who can fix, set up the ambient, cook, prepare breakfast etc. The girl who was there did the best and she was lovely. But for that price (more or the same than the 3 other luxury hotels in Mendoza which really have the service you pay for), they have to rethink the concept to make it up. It appeared to me, that who works in the hotel part felt isolated from the huge property and other employees. For a retreat escape and golfing and being there with friends its a good choice - the nature is amazing!!! - if they lower the price or include some of the services. If you want to get to know with Mendoza, the culture, different vineyard etc. I would definitely pick another hotel.

To all tourist planning on visiting this resort. Please save your money it is not worth it. Let me give you the reasons.||1. There is no reception where they can help you plan your trip. |2. There is absolutely no service|3. The rooms are very primitive, broken light bulbs, no real hot water.|4. The hotel does not change the linens or the towels.|5. There are no amenities in the room. The little they have is very cheap.|6. There is no restaurant you can order from. You can only eat what they make. |7. Food preparation is very basic. |8. Supposedly the concierge should arrive at 8 everyday but during our stay he showed up at 11 am. |9. Very bad clubs to loan for golf course. |10. No AC ||In general paying 330 usd for this is completely nuts. Stay away my recommendation. We left a day earlier because it was unbearable |

Brilliant winery, small but perfectly formed. Low production volumes, very new world. Beautifully picturesque, amazing slate roof... And the wine? Delicious! Can't comment on accommodation... Although if you're into the grapey stuff, it's a must visit. Quality.

This destination was our last night after a wonderful 2 week visit to South America. We had picked Atamisque after careful review and being lured in by their beautiful website. The setting is beautiful and we anticipated a luxurious evening to rest up before our long trip home. It was anything but relaxing and not worth the high price (our highest during our whole 2 week stay in South America). Upon arrival it was hard to even locate how to check in. This property is new and it appears the whole development is not yet up and running. Eventually we checked in and when confirming a pre-arranged dinner reservation at their Rincon restaurant (which looks amazing online) we were told it was closed and we could eat in our hotel lobby. This was very disappointing as we were not informed prior to arrival even after making a dinner reservation beforehand - the restaurant was one of the reasons we picked the property. The 'lobby' is just another small building near the main lodge buildings and is like a place you would expect for breakfast. BUT the real kicker for us was when we arrived (you have to drive) out at our lodge room, during a day of 95 degrees we found out that there was no A/C. A beautiful newly built lodge (six separate rooms) could spend the money to arrange for WIFI and a huge hot tub, but no A/C. This was really not acceptable to us for what is considered a luxury property. And it was VERY hot in the room. There are no screens on the windows (only 2) and the sliding door did not have a screen either, so at night when it did cool down a bit, we were not happy about opening them as we had tons of bugs and yes, toads....to deal with all night. It was just horrible, and all night it was VERY hot, uncomfortable, one of the worst night's sleep we have had on any trip. We did not sleep hardly at all and could not wait to get the heck out of there. Dinner in the lobby was made via microwave (and was pricey) and horrible, and breakfast was disappointing. We ran from there as quick as we could. This was not nearly worth the high room price. Beware. Go somewhere...anywhere....else.
