My fiance, a couple of friends, and I went on Friday, April 7, around 7 pm to drink at the Americana Bar for a few hours and then walked home. The following day, I realized I did not have my credit card on me, so I called the hotel to make sure they had it so I could go pick it up. I called all weekend and Monday. I spoke with the hostess, who said she'd find out and call me back. I spoke with another employee who said she would check with security and call me back. I left voicemails. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK, and the rest of the times I called, they would not answer my phone call. The following morning, I woke up with almost $1,000 worth of Amazon charges and a $300 charge to "Melina Market" in Hialeah. If the bar team could have just answered me or returned my call and told me, "they don't have it," I could have moved forward and canceled my credit card, or I could have picked up my card because I knew it was left there, seeing as it was the last location I had been at. Either way, this was a complete lack of responsibility and customer service for a luxury hotel.
