Open plan. Large group meeting area. Very noisy. Impossible to talk here. Food very limited no bread or bagel other then sourdough. Food awful. Everything microwaved. Very limited non dairy options for milks . Counter person very pleasant and efficient. The woman making drinks extremely rude obviously hates her job. Drinks were made incorrectly and luke warm. Parking good. Prices reasonable.

This place is perfect as a modern study vibe. You can come here to do work, hangout with friends, or just sip on some coffee which is priced below average but tastes immaculate. The service was beyond exceptional and the wifi is extremely fast. I highly recommend anyone to come and check it out, great upstairs seating with my only recommendation being to have another couch space on the other side of the upper level. Currently there is one couch space, but a second one with tables in the middle of the space would be fantastic. Also what was surprising was that for as modern and trendy as this place is, there is a mix of all age groups which was nice. It isn't just a place for younger people. Fantastic open breathable space with a lot of seating space. Recommendations to the owner/staff: - 2nd couch space on the other side of the upper level - More outlets around the shop, ideally one more on the upper level and 2 for the tables. - Upstairs bathroom? That would be awesome! - Slightly longer hours would be fantastic for people who work/study a bit more. Overall score: 4.5/5, fantastic environment, great atmosphere

Beautiful open concept coffee shop. Great airflow, so many good places to sit and enjoy. I struggle with deciding inside or out but outside always wins, great ocean breeze and sunshine are hard to beat. The coffee is good but honestly it's all about the location for us. Sunday parking can be difficult because there is a big church nearby.

My mocha was barely warm, $4 6oz in an 8oz cup. Looked tiny, felt bad taking it from it's mother. A little confused with the food. Hubby got an egg, cheese and sausage croissant... it was a Jimmy Dean. We don't even buy those for home. But he went back inside and they were making a non packaged croissant sandwich. My bagel was fine. The atmosphere is nice. Our service was without emotion.

This place is the best! Light and airy atmosphere, good food and coffee, great service and good prices. What’s not to love!

Came for an in person meeting, was getting some work done on my laptop while waiting. Upon arrival there was an area that had someone's trash on it. After waiting 15 mins to see if whoever left it there was coming back I approached a barista and asked if it'd be possible to get that area cleaned because there's an outlet close to it and my laptop is dying (no other outlet areas were available, I checked). She replied that there were trash cans and I could clean the area if I wanted to. As someone who has worked in food service prior I found that pretty offensive. Maybe she was having a bad day or something but it was an unpleasant experience.

Located at Cabrillo College across from the recital halls where many concerts are held. Truly a beautiful coffee shop. There's a good amount of couches and tables, with plenty of outlets. There's an upstairs area you can sit too that overlooks the entire shop. Baristas are all amazing and super kind. I tried their cappuccino which tasted great. High recommend to order for here rather than to go, just doesn't taste quite the same. Definitely a great option to stop by fora drink if youre on campus or passing through!

My favorite local coffee shop. Drip coffee, americano, no matter what coffee you order it is always well made. Good selection of breakfast items- avocado toast, sandwiches, sour dough bagels, burritos are all good. Highly recommend the coffee flight if you have time to sit and enjoy coffee experience. Most affordable coffee shop in town. Fast service, everyone that works there are friendly, warm, welcoming people. Better drip coffee than Verve or Cat & Cloud- there I said it!

I love coming here when in Aptos! I think they have an awesome variety of food and snack options which entice me to come in to get an extra bite with my drink. The space itself is massive with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. I love all the natural light you get and of course, the seated loft upstairs. My drink was definitely on the very sweet side and I was tempted to have them remake it but was in a rush. However, that's an easy fix! The workers were super friendly. Lovely spot if you wanted to work remotely.

I love this place! I go to school at Cabrillo and the walk is very short. I love going with friends and enjoying the cozy atmosphere. Staff is very nice, and the drinks are very good and not too expensive. The breakfast sandwiches are good and I'm excited to try more! :)

We loved the pitstop we had here on our way into Aptos. This coffee house is clean and cozy, with lovely outdoor seating that is dog-friendly too. The staff is welcoming and helpful, so friendly! I appreciate the help as I had never been here before and needed to order something memorable. The pastries are delectable and the morning muffin was spectacular! Their hot cocoa was terrific as well, sorry we don't drink coffee but it smelled lovely!

We wanted to try something different in Aptos and found this place through Yelp. The coffeeshop is huge! It's so nice as well, a perfect place to study, do homework, reading, work remotely or catch up with a friend. They have a wide range of seating and outlets. The coffee was delicious! We ordered a Coffee Flight, which is their sampler or different styles of their coffee. My husband got an Iced Mocha. We throughly enjoyed both our drinks! They had a good selection of pastries and they can warm up any pastry. They also had breakfast food options. The employees were so kind and patient while we asked questions and looked over their menu. This seems to be a location that locals seem to know more about. It was really relaxing and nice to enjoy my coffee sampler. I will be returning again when I'm in town.

Food was a slight let down, lots of preprepared items (I think breakfasts burritos come frozen). However, sourdough bagel was amazing and they let me put pickled onions and cucumber on top since they were out of avocado toast.

Amazing coffee with a vibe! I was a little disappointed in the breakfast burrito but the avocado toast was insane. Definitely get the pistachio latte.

Great Coffee & Food, Love the space, Perfect for getting work done. Just wish the Music was not so loud so I can take Zoom Meetings from here. I attempted to do a few zoom meeting from here but the music is everywhere which makes people speak in really raised voices. Other than the loud music Love this place.

This place is clean friendly and nice. The price also seems very affordable esp for the location. I felt welcomed and the coffee I had tasted great! If I went to school around there or just needed a great spot to work - this would be my jam !

This place was AWESOME! If it was just a bit closer to me, I'd come in all the time. Great for meeting up with friends but since it gets a bit loud, wouldn't recommend it for intense work / study focus. My vanilla oat milk latte was insane. It was so creamy and rich, and the art was cute (i messed it up before this pic). Staff was so friendly and the drink was ready quick! Will definitely return.

I just started classes at Cabrillo and this place is right on my walk to class. The service is quick, and the food and coffee are SO much better than the cafeteria. I tried the avocado toast today and it was delicious I love all the space there is for people to set up their laptops and study, it has a nice chill atmosphere. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming

Loft coffee is a newly opened space that caters to people who want a relaxing and semi-quiet vibe to work or study. With plentiful seating options both inside and outside, you should always be able to find a comfortable space for yourself. The menu offers your staple coffee shop items from espresso drinks to drip. Prices are really competitive compared to today's inflated rates. Service is really friendly and fast. The location itself borders Cabrillo community college as well as a nearby church. There are bike racks out front as well as a permanently affixed bike repair stand which is totally rad and appreciated by a cyclist such as myself! This was my early morning stop on my way to Forest of Nisene Marks State Park for some off road riding. I ordered a latte which was really well balanced between their espresso and the milk. The foam was tempered really nicely and had a glassy sheen to it. Well done! The person who handed me my drink was friendly and struck up a conversation when I picked up my cup. I'll definitely visit again during my next ride through the area. It's especially nice to know that there's that bike repair station there if ever I should need it!

Came here to check it out and this place is amazing! Might be the best prices in town $3 drinks! My mom and I both got the fog, which is an earl grey tea with macadamia milk and honey. It was so good :) It is super clean inside and great for working remotely.

Great vibe. Warm staff who enjoy their work. Quality coffee. A place with comfortable seating where you can study all day. This is very hard to find in Santa Cruz.

Needed a place to work after camping at nearby Brighton Beach and this spot was perfect, its comfortable and good coffee. The staff is nice. The loft is warm and feels a little cozy up there. Def will be back next time Im at New Brighton Beach area.

i love loft! i used to work at the abbey, and it's fun to come in here and compare similar drinks (santa cruz fog, for example.) your drinks and food have a very refined quality about them and they're all delicious! customer service can be sometimes neutral here, but the manager is super kind and always makes me feel welcome. i love seeing everyone i know here!

Great coffee, friendly baristas, perfect volume level to work, super cute space, what more could you ask for?! They also have holy kakow syrup which is the best. Highly recommend, they're definitely a new favorite!

Warning: only come here if you want AMAZING coffee, breakfast treats & baked goods, ambience, and service. The prices are very reasonable as well.

This place has my favorite iced matcha latte!!! Every time I'm nearby Im so tempted to drop in to grab myself a drink. The prices here are on the lower end compared to other local coffee shops. My 16 oz matcha latte ends up costing me $4. The space is open and inviting with plenty of seating options inside and out. There is plenty of parking spaces out front as well as bike racks to lock up your bike(s).

Tucked away, but not too deep in the Cabrillo campus is the Loft. This place is incredible. I was so sad when Aptos roasting cafe closed in Aptos but now Ive found my new favorite cafe. The coffee is great and so is the food. Great bagels, pastries. The staff is efficient and friendly. The building itself is beautiful. It's very big sporting a loft and many other comfy seating areas including outside. Plenty of parking. The Loft is really family friendly and you see that on the weekends. It gets very crowded with kids when the school lets out on the weekdays as It's right next to twin Lakes school.

As we were driving through Aptos, I wanted some caffeine, so we stopped at Loft. The ceilings are tall with plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs for students to study or work. I got a matcha latte. Confusingly, I was told that I'd hear my order be called out from both sides of the counter. What I later understood was the drinks come out on one side and the food from the other (I think?). The matcha latte was decent - creamy but not strong in matcha flavor. I also got to try a ham and cheese croissant which was delicious. Service was friendly. I'd say it's more of a 3.5 rating, but rounding up due to its great inexpensive menu.

I like this place. A lot. I don't think I would necessarily go out of my way to visit (my regular Starbucks is just too dang convenient). If you're already in the area though, Loft is a great choice. Tops on my recommendation here would be the "Santa Cruz Fog" (a creative spin on a London Fog but with macadamia milk and cinnamon). Super tasty and comforting. Staff are friendly and the baked items are good (although I don't think the food is necessarily the highlight). The family and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and found plenty of seating. Setting and ambiance was chill. Nice music and soft patron chatter. I'm usually not a study-in-a-coffee-shop dude, but I could see myself doing that here Couple things to keep in mind (which don't detract from the rating): 1) Parking lot can be super packed on Sundays... Which makes sense - this is a church sponsored establishment so when the nearby church is having service, the area is full. 2) This place has brief business hours. Check in advance before driving over. They were closing today at 2 PM. All n' all. It's a solid stop if in the area and the business hours align. Enjoy!

Stopped here while vacationing on the coast because their website says they serve Art of Tea (which is very good tea). The iced tea and pastries were good. But the cashier was surly with us and our children, even though it wasn't busy. And my wife's hot tea latte was awful - they dumped in the milk before brewing the tea, so it was essentially hot milk-water with a tea bag accessory. (I don't understand this. Would anyone brew coffee with milk-water? Then why would you brew tea that way?) Too bad, because it seemed like a cozy place otherwise.

Parking is readily available. Not super busy, and the cafe is very clean with both indoor and outdoor seating available. The drinks and food are super reasonably priced. The latte was fairly average and the maple old fashioned was pretty tasty.

Service has always been on par, staff is friendly, attentive, & thorough, & the beverages are beautiful, fresh, & delicious! Plus, the prices are highly competitive. We love Loft coffee!

Pretty building, friendly staff, and decent drinks/food for a decent price. The regular latte had good flavor, however the Lavender latte was a little to floral and on the nose for me. Food wise, the chocolate filled croissant was good! I also tried the croissant cinnamon roll which was also pretty good, but there was a lack of gooey goodness; a cinnamon roll definitely requires gooey hearts. Prices were also fair so I'm going to round up here.

I am very particular about my coffee to the point I don't value Starbucks as a true coffee shop. Having said this, I think Loft is one of the best coffeehouses in the area. High quality ingredients, talented barista and great customer service.

Best Daily Mix around. Best Baristas I've met, that make the best drinks. Outdoors or in, you'll always find a seat. No pressure ever. Nice, clean bathroom. Good food.

Love this coffee place! It's such a cute place with lots of greenery and and upstairs seating area. The Avocado toast is INCREDIBLE! It's the best avocado toast I've ever had, hands down! And the staff is so nice! It can get very busy on weekends and many of the food options run out.

This is the cutest coffee shop with lots of seating area to enjoy their wonderful beverages. They serve Verve coffee; we tried their cappuccinos, latte and mocha and all were very good. Their matcha lattes are also great with the macadamia nut milk option. Luckily we discovered this place on day one of our trip and it was our go to coffee shop for our stay in the area.

Coffee is great here! People are super friendly and the atmosphere is great for socializing, reading or studying. They have great snacks also!

This place is the caffeine and positive vibes needed for an amazing day. Came two days in a row and both times have been great! Workers are awesome, atmosphere is calm, outdoor and indoor seating. It's spacious which a lot of coffee shops lack, and of course the food and coffee are solid. I would recommend to anyone willing to get some coffee and a bite.

Found this hidden gem behind Cabrillo College. Beautiful, relaxing indoor and outdoor space, great customer service, ample parking, and offer food and cofFee drinks. the Americano was good, smooth with a mild taste. I found a new place to study. Can't wait to return.

I can't believe this was my first time to Loft Coffee. Definitely coming back! Got a latte with macadamia nut milk! Soooo delicious and probably my new favorite. Great drink prices too! Staff was super friendly. Establishment clean. Found a great seat outside in the sun. There are so many different places to sit and a great place to relax or get some work done.

I really like this place! The people who work here are very friendly and work fast. Verve coffee and barista skills are on point. I love the walkable location. The airy ambiance is comfortable for peace or good conversation. Their hours recently expanded and I hope eventually they'll be open a little later.
