Loft Coffee Review - Finchley Road - London - The Infatuation
"Loft Coffee is 30 seconds away from the platforms at Finchley Road tube station, which only goes part of the way to explaining why they have a constant flow of customers. The other reasons are that it’s comfortable, the coffee is great, and whenever you’re here, you’ll be wondering whether you should stick around a little bit longer and get one of their excellent scrambled egg and bacon brioche buns." - Oliver Feldman
Great cafe with lovely coffee but the owner needs to be much less grumpy around staff and customers. As nice as the cafe is, if you’re being a horrible person, it doesn’t make for a pleasant atmosphere. There are other reviews saying the same thing as well so I wonder if he will take into consideration what everyone is saying to him. The rest of the staff however are lovely and deserve much better. I wonder how they cope with the owner.

Pretty decent oat flat whites but sub-par (and expensive) pain au chocolat, which was disappointing. This was refunded, so 5* for service but only 4* for the food/drink. The menu looked interesting but there wasn't time to try it. I would probably go back to try some of the breakfast dishes

The soaring ceiling here adds a sense of imbalance to a basic no-nonsense interior configuration that manages to exaggerate the minimal in minimalist.
A mere gesture of morose lite-bites does little to convince.
The coffee certainly held its ground but doesn’t venture into the realm of anecdotal nor so the grim view across the dismal road.
The service was faultless.
Buzzy and busy.

The owner is always grumpy. Moreover, staffs are always chatting in vain and their voice is too loud. Taste of coffee is not that good just bitter, nothing special. To the owner, can you stop yelling at your staff? It makes all customers unpleasant feeling.

Probably the best chai we've ever had in London, absolute must try. Get there before 3pm to enjoy the brunch options.
Highly recommend the toasted sourdough with eggs and rocket and also the brioche bun. Excellent, friendly staff, nice calm vibe.
I wish there were more of these around!

A cosy cafe in Finchley road.
Loved the Hochija Latte, it has a smooth mellow taste.
Really enjoyed the Kimchi toastie and would come back for it again.
Staff were lovely, great service.

Not sure how it has gotten the high rating that it has. Coffee was very average and super over sweetened for a mocha. Bagel was warm rather than properly toasted. For a £9 that is not a good value for money. You pay for the area poshness with a view of a dirty bus stop.
Toilet had a half broken latch and no way to dry your hands.

Lovely cafe. Regret I didn’t visit it sooner during my two-week stay in the neighborhood. The chai latte was delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Small coffee shop with, compared to Starbucks, a limited menu of coffee and tea.
But, unlike most big box coffee shops, both the coffee and tea are flavourfull and very reasonably priced for the quality provided.

Yelp
Actually, this place wasn't bad. It did have a pretty good inner-city feel about it, and it also had the charm of an independent cafe as well. Like the paintings on the wall. The coffee wasn't too bad either. I guess I liked the charm that it had.

Yelp
My current favourite coffee shop. VERY reasonably priced and such a wonderful warm atmosphere. A wonderful place to get a drink and just hang out with friends or work.

Yelp
Cute little coffee place. Conveniently located, right next to the station. Good coffee, friendly service. What more can you ask for? :)
Space is an issue. If there's 8 customers in the shop then it is brimming! Literally the only critique. The atmosphere is very tranquil and you can definitely get some reading done whilst tucking into some tasty Danish and decent coffee. Take a break. Definitely take a break here!

Yelp
Great little local coffee shop just around the corner from Finchley Rd station. The place itself doesn't seat many people but it's perfect if you're just after a coffee and a small bite to eat.
The food is mostly limited to pastries and muffins but they also serve Monmouth coffee which is my personal favourite. My only complaint would be that I wish it were open a bit later on Sundays! (closes around 1pm)

Yelp
This is definitely going to become my daily morning coffee stop!

Yelp
Living in NW London, there's not much in the way of great coffee - or so we thought until we discovered this lovely little place.
Tucked off to the right of Finchley Road station, you'd be forgiven for not noticing it at first but it's worth seeking out. The staff are lovely and friendly, the coffee is on point - serving Monmouth - and there's also free wifi!

Yelp
Great coffee every single time. I go as often as I can and the staff always remembers me. They offer a few pastries too, but overall it's about the coffee. And that's as it should be!

Yelp
The shop is quite nice, but the staff is not right at all. If they're not busy, they stand looking at you (horrible). One good point is the way they make coffee (properly, weighting grinded coffee and than liquid coffee).

Yelp
Coffee by people that love what they make. This is a cute local cafe that makes consistently perfect coffee. I've been coming here for almost a year and not a single coffee has been anything less than immaculate. It's a shame that the line at Waitrose can sometimes be bigger for takeaway. Why would you buy that swill when you can have a brilliant takeaway from Loft?
