The service here is very professional and well-trained.
I think they still have some work to do on the food, but it's still very good and I really like the concept overall - fairly simple menu, modern eclectic American / Continental, with self-service wine dispensers and the cocktail lounge.
So, I ordered the burger again so that I could make some final judgments about it. The first time I tried it, I noticed that the meat was heavily seasoned, resembling meatloaf. This time, I put challenge to the waitress by requesting my burger medium-rare. She said, the have to cook it through. I asked why. She said she would ask the chef and get back to me. She didn't, so I inquired again. The answer she gave is this: "well, we always do it like that, because if there are 20 or more people ordering them all differently, we wouldn't be able to accommodate them". *Cough Cough...BULLSH**!
It was a nonsense answer because, for one, we were almost the only people in the restaurant and secondly, I know from experience that it must have something to do with the recipe. I believe they are using a non-conventional technique to cook the patty because of it's moisture, consistency and color when it's served. In other words, I think, they're not grilling or searing, but maybe slow-cooking or a combination of methods, but I'm not super stoked on the composition of the meat, albeit super moist, I still prefer a medium-rare, pink on the inside, crusty on the outside patty.
The fries are good, but could be a little crispier.
They have a great wine selection.
