One thing I didn’t like was that the pancakes and crepe were way too sweet. I don’t think I’d visit again because of that. However, the staff were really kind, and the atmosphere was mostly very nice. I had to join the waitlist, but the wait was short and moved quickly.

I love the pancakes 🥞 here, and the old log cabin feel of the interior of the restaurant makes this place cozy. The food is got and delicious. 😋 It's also an easy walk from the downtown strip in Gatlinburg directly across the street from smoky mountain resort.

Google
Breakfast here before heading to Pigeon Forge. No one went away hungry. They offer AUCE biscuits and gravy!!! Our party of 4 didn't get that, but my husband also had the option to add it to his entrees for just $1.00!! I recommend the Butterscotch Chip pancakes!!

We were in town for a few days and when you're in the mountains you have to eat at at least one pancake house. We had planned to stop at a different restaurant, but they didn't offer parking and I'm not a $20 for parking just for breakfast kind of guy. We went around the corner and stubbled upon the Log Cabin Pancake House. We loved the building and the food. We had pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage links, and bacon. Let me tell you some about this bacon. It's thicker than normal bacon, but not as thick as "thick cut" bacon. It was the perfect thickness and chewyness for me. This would be the perfect bacon for making candied or chocolate dipped. We will eat here again on our next visit to Gatlinburg.

We heard good things about this place, it only opens from 7am to 2pm. So there was a line already around 11:30am and the wait was about 20 mins and got seated fairly quick. The service was friendly and quick, the best part is coffee was kept on floating to the cup. The pancakes were good, all of the eggs were cooked to the tee. One thing is their sausage patties could be better as it was kinda dry and small. Everything else, the waffles, the omelette were all good. The prices are reasonably to the point, two coffees and 5 breakfast dishes with 20% tips, came out to about $92. From where we came from, that’s pretty good.

Google
The wait wasn’t too long even though there was a line. We went around 10:30am. They were friendly and food was great!

Google
Went to Log Cabin Pancake for breakfast two days in a row because we enjoyed it so much! From chocolate chip pancakes to strawberry waffles we enjoyed each bite. No turkey sausage, but the buttermilk biscuits was soft and flaky.

Google
The specialty pancakes are just stuff cut up or poured on premade pancakes. Not the quality I was expecting for the reviews. Pancakes taste like they are frozen. Not sure they are. Cracker barrel has better pancakes imo. I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
We were visiting the Gatlinburg area with our senior adults from church. I was the bus driver for them. We had about 40 in our group. They sat us fairly quickly. Our waitress (Kris) was outstanding!!!! My wife had the peach crapes and said it was the best she has had in a long time. I had the pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon. The pancakes were very delicious and the best I've had in a while. The restaurant was clean and everyone was super nice and friendly! If you are in Gatlinburg and want pancakes I highly recommend Log Cabin Pancake House! You won't be disappointed! Thank you Kris for your help at our table!

Yelp
I don't get the hype. The inside was neat, looks like a log cabin. The food was some of the worst breakfast that I've ever paid for. Sausage was extra salty, scrambled eggs were not worked enough during cooking and came out like tiny little pellets, pancakes were unbearably mid, just awful. There's no reason for this place to be as busy as it is. Pancake Pantry was exponentially better.

Indigo B.

Yelp
Nice breakfast selection items, fireplace, some gift options. Service great, expeditious.

Bob B.

Yelp
Nice rustic country decor. Service was just okay, I think this was more of our individual waitress than the entire staff. We had other waitresses offer us coffee refills than our own. We saw our waitresses to order, receive our coffee and get our meal and check. Food was delivered hot and fast and to order. Pancakes were good but no out of this world. Biscuits were good but the sausage gravy wasn't the best. It lacked seasoning.

David B.

Yelp
Nice country atmosphere. We went here right after pleat 7:00am and got right in. Our waitress Maize was quick to our table and got our drinks right away m. Yes, coffee for me and a hot chocolate for my wife. The hot chocolate was piled with whipped cream and my wife loved it. I had the butter milk pancakes and my wife had the Caribbean ones. We both got sausage links and I also ordered Hash browns ( kind of like tator tots). Food came out quick and hot. They kept our drinks filled and for the $35 price tag was very worth it.

Yelp
Come on a Fall Monday morning right before 8:00 am. Within a few minutes the line for a table was out the door and down the porch. Debbie our server was very attentive. Coffee never ran out or got cold. I had the meat lover omelette. Would have like the meet and cheese to be incorporated with the egg, instead of omelette being made then cooked meat and cheese placed in middle then folded. Enjoyed the visit and would come back.

David H.

Yelp
This is up there as one of the best in the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area for breakfast. Kris was an excellent waitress and the food was awesome. We will be back many times! It was busy and the food still came out quickly.

Nicole H.

Yelp
We waited a half an hour outside to get in (no biggie, was expecting that on a Saturday morning), but then it just kept going downhill. The environment inside was definitely a bit chaotic. Decorating was fun and server was friendly but that doesn't make up for the other issues. I ordered a Western omelet. The menu on the restaurant in person doesn't have any description on it. Everywhere I've ever ordered an omelet it's ham, onions, mushrooms and peppers. I figured with no description that's what it was. I ordered that. When it came I cut into it and it was their three meat omelet. I pointed this out to the waitress and she said it WAS the Western, they do theirs with sausage. That seems weird. If so, why was it missing all the veggies? Anyways, I don't eat sausage so I needed it remade. She took the whole plate away, wouldn't let me eat the pancakes. Brought back a new omelette. This time it was just a bacon omelette. Again. Wrong. ‍ I said something again. She asked if I wanted it replaced. I said only if I could keep the pancakes and eat those. She said no. She has to bring the whole plate back. I told her forget it. I'm not waiting for a third time that's probably wrong as well. When we were done we were put in another line to check out. It was another 30 minutes long just to check out! Plan a long time to eat here. I'm from Knoxville and come out to the area on occasion but this was so disappointing.

Ginger A.

Yelp
I got the senior special with a side of gravy. Yum. Honey got the strawberry waffle and loved it. Service was great. Very nicely decorated.

Brandy D.

Yelp
The restaurant is really cool as it's a huge log cabin. We got there just before 9am. They do have a large parking area but our hotel was just across the street so we walked. We had three in our party and were able to sit immediately as it was already a full house. Our server was busy but friendly. They have a very large menu! I ordered the Orange-Pineapple Supreme Crepes and a side of sausage. Everything was really good but sausages were not hot.

Veronica C.

Yelp
Yes! And a bear story to boot. Next time we are in the area will definitely come in. The food was good, warm and delivered to our table with a smile.

Patrick H.

Yelp
I have never been as disappointed in a place with such high yelp reviews. There was a long line to get in, but it did go fairly fast. The food was just ok. Barely ok. The gravy was awful. The best things were the ambiance, the waitress, and that you don't have to pay for parking. I'm really floored how so many people could say this place was great. Do yourself a favor and look at everyones food through the window when you're waiting in line. It's not bad, just not great. 3 stars at best.

Candi B.

Yelp
Perfect pancakes at reasonable prices with excellent friendly service!! This restaurant checks basically every box. Our family wanted to check out at least one pancake house on our recent gatlinburg trip and we remembered going to this one over 20 years ago. We went on a Tuesday morning around 10:30 and while it was busy, there was no line and they seated our party of 12 immediately. Our waitress came to our table several times in a timely manner and our food arrived quickly. The atmosphere is rustic like a log cabin, to match the name. I absolutely recommend it!

Michael J.

Yelp
We come here every year while in town for Cheer. Always a long wait but that's because it the best breakfast place in town.

Bailey D.

Yelp
I don't know that I've ever seen so many pancake restaurants in one place! This one is a literal log cabin, and is a cute spot to venture to for breakfast or brunch a little ways off the main drag in Gatlinburg. Our group of four stopped in on a Monday morning around noon, and were seated right away. The interior is nostalgic - with plenty of real wood fixtures and kitschy cabin charm. There is free parking around back of the restaurant. The service was quick, and the portions are huge for the price! I ordered the pecan pancakes and a side of sausage, which was more than enough food for one person. The pancakes were perfectly cooked -- just a little fluffy on the inside. My husband tried the "pigs in a blanket," which is a fun option for pancake lovers of any age.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
We first encountered a wait with quite the line but everything moved surprisingly fast. We were seated within ten minutes and had a very personable and kind waitress that we absolutely loved. The issue for me came when I noticed how food was being transferred from kitchen to tables...it was stacked along the servers' arms where the bottom of the plates were touching the food they were overlapping. I almost couldn't stay when I observed every server doing this. Fortunately, I held out and our food was brought out without that happening so we stayed. I doubt I could ever make myself go back though. The restaurant itself is of a nice size but has single bathrooms that can become dirty rather quickly and can have rather long lines when the restaurant is busy. The decor also threw me for a loop--why are there sports team banners hanging from the rafters...makes no sense and doesn't fit the restaurant theme at all.

Yelp
Combine the chicken and waffles with royale sauce and two sunny side up eggs and maple syrup... absolutely the best breakfast ever..

Christie S.

Yelp
We live about an hour away from Gatlinburg and have tried just about all of the pancake houses in town. This one is our favorite! It's always busy but the wait is never too long. Plenty of rocking chairs and seating on the front porch. Pancakes are top notch! This trip I had the Caribbean pancakes and a side order of sausage. Service and food were great!

Patty W.

Yelp
You will see many pancake places while you are in the area and I wish I was able to try all of them during our short stay. I had this one bookmarked and even heard from others that it's worth checking out before we came up. we didn't have to wait and was seated immediately (woop woop!). It was a while before I decided on what to get. The menu has so many different types of pancakes to get and I went for the walnut pancakes. It was topped with powered sugar and butter. It was so good! The rest of the crew ordered eggs, hash browns, sausage, biscuits and gravy with bacon, and chocolate pancakes. 4 thumbs up! Our waitress was very sweet and she made sure we were happy with everything the entire time we were there. There is plenty of cute decor to look at and we enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you for a beautiful Sunday morning!

Chris O.

Yelp
Awesome pancakes, awesome service! Huge thank you to Kris our awesome waitress. The atmosphere was nice and the service was quick! Definitely would recommend checking out this place when in the area!

Lisa C.

Yelp
Food was good, skip the hash browns though. Or maybe get gravy to cover them? Our server was great! She was friendly and fast! Prices were good here too! There was tons of parking available- and the restaurant was full of fun decorations! We sat in a booth right by the front door. The door needs some oil though because every time it opened and closed we heard the screeching.

Hagan W.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and didn't have to wait at all! Found parking out back for free which was a great plus! Ginger was our waitress and was AMAZING! She created the best restaurant experience we had all we! We loved her! Food was amazing!

Jeffrey Q.

Yelp
We knew it would be a wait to get in, we watch the line from our room across the road. So we tried it today. Service was very good, prices reasonable for what we ordered. Our food arrived as ordered (including the grandkids who have to order with this and without that). Overall a very enjoyable dining experience.

Kayla B.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast! Food was delicious and fresh. Our server was great, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend and would go again.

Kirsten J.

Yelp
I really like this place. We come here often for breakfast when we are visiting Gatlinburg. Even tho mainly tourists are eating here, the restaurant gives off a homey and small town feeling. The southern hospitality and service is great. Again our waitress (Robin) stopped by our table this morning for a little chat making us feel very welcome. The log cabin offers typical American breakfast ins you can order literally everything from vegetarian dishes to pancakes, grits, meats and toast etc.

Krista R.

Yelp
This is my second review of this restaurant. I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. The food is amazing. I think that these are the best pancakes that I have ever eaten. Our server was kind and such a good waitress. She asked us our plans and told us a little bit about where we were going. This is definitely my favorite place to come for breakfast in the Smokies.

Nancy C.

Yelp
Loved the Log Cabin Pancake house! The service was speedy but great. The menu has so many great American breakfast items. This was our breakfast choice after getting engaged in Gatlinburg and we loved all the items we ordered! Don't skip out on the bottomless biscuits and gravy!

Becky J.

Yelp
The food was good, the service was awesome and the decorations fit the experience. We ordered 4 types of pancakes, the biscuits & gravy, an omelet, and a side of bacon & sausage. All of the pancakes were delicious and flavorful. The gravy needed some salt, pepper and some crumbled sausage to pump up the flavor but the biscuits were great. The inlet was weak and lacking in fluffy eggs, I'd stick to the pancakes for sure. Our coffee was hot and the cup stayed full! We left satisfied and recommend the blueberry & pecan pancakes!

Chris H.

Yelp
There are just so many pancake places in this quaint little town that it can be so hard to find one. Every single one has long lines the moment they open and the Log Cabin Pancake House is no different. The moment this location opens there's already a line. However, what sets this spot apart from the others is the fact that it's located off the main road in town and has its own free parking! Came here on a Monday morning at 9 am and got lucky and barely missed the early crowd and the slightly little later crowd. Took me about 8 minutes to get a table of four. They really pack you in there and make sure they can handle the groups going in and ordering, so they will stagger groups a bit to ensure the cooks can handle the orders. They have a fairly large menu that is reasonably priced. I ordered the pecan pancakes and a side of grits - no eggs or meats are included if you order the pancakes. It took about 5-7 minutes to get an order for a table of four to get their food. Once it arrived it was great. The fluffiness and flavor were wonderful and the syrup was warm. The grits were well made. Worth the wait in my opinion.

Deborah P.

Yelp
We walked right in! What what! The pancake Gods were with us today because we walked right in and got a table! As soon as we sat down the line was out the door! Talk about "beating the rush!" We had excellent service and very friendly! The syrup is good, eggs cooked perfect, bacon reg not crispy is good, hash browns weren't hot but so good! I got the senior plate with small pancakes which were good but the ultimate was the blue berry pancakes with in house made BB sauce - OMG! Delish! I mean so good!!!! Oh so good! we say by fire and enjoyed every bite. Highly recommend but get there early? Service is fast and plenty of refills in coffee! Checkout is at the counter so they keep ppl moving!

Pam H.

Yelp
The French Toast Royale is a must try! I don't even care for bananas but couldn't stop eating until every bite was gone! The order of bacon I had with it was great too. Service is great. Server was friendly and kept the coffee coming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Love this restaurant. Favorite for breakfast.

Amy L.

Yelp
Decided to stop by for breakfast since me and my family were literally staying next door. It was our first time in Gatlinburg to visit the national park, so we wanted to see what kind of food was offered around town. We decided on this place since it seemed to have very high number of ratings, and the food looked quite promising compared to the other options. The interior was decorated to be like a cozy cabin. Lots of seating were available and it was plenty crowded. The menu and prices were pretty standard for a diner, except with an expansive pancake section. We each ordered a platter and a plate of pancakes to share. The food itself was pretty average and the orange juice a little sour which was a bit disappointing. We ordered the royal pancakes which came with their house special sauce. It was pretty good to be fair, but the sauce tasted just like sea salt caramel. Not sure what I was expecting, but I was definitely expecting something a little less basic. If I were to come back, I'd definitely try some of their other pancake options!

James B.

Yelp
Always our breakfast spot. Are there better options around, maybe, is there anything more convenient? No way! It's literally across the street from where we stay. Wake up, slip on shoes and clothes and go have pancakes! What more could you want? Food quality is fine for what it is. The pancakes are great and there are lots of options. Service is always super friendly. Like anything here, if you hit it at prime time it's likely going to be a wait. Both times we have gone this week though we walked right in and were seated. Had food hot on the table in less than 20 minutes. Can't really compare it to any of the other pancake houses here as it's just too easy to walk over here.

Jayray F.

Yelp
Located close to the main drag and in a reclaimed wood authentic lodge you get some down home friendly service and comforting food. We both chose options with blueberries and though they were tiny they were very sweet and tasty. A standard serving of pancakes is four cakes and they are nice and fluffy. The Belgian waffles are thick and large. A true country atmosphere and a good selection of breakfast options.

Bianca M.

Yelp
My wife and I came here on our anniversary mountain getaway. The line was out to the parking lot, but we were in and seated in five minutes! The ambiance is super quirky; college flags everywhere and a bunch of stuffed animals. I had the crepes and my wife had chicken and waffles. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering and it was delicious. Cheap too! Our server, Ginger, made the experience what it was. Fully of energy, sweet, and very attentive. She made it feel like we were having breakfast in her home. Definitely will be back!

Amindra W.

Yelp
People are nice. Interesting decor. Fast service. Food was mediocre on every level. Eggs tasted and had the texture of powdered eggs. Crepes were not crepes. They were just thin pancakes using the same pancake batter. Coffee was watery and meh. Every person at our table ate only about 1/3 of their breakfast cos it was just not great.

Donnie B.

Yelp
Always an amazing breakfast. Food is great and the service is so quick. Don't be fooled by the long line. Short wait.

Manuel M.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! We had to come here twice. Service is really good. Both times we have come there has been a line outside. The line does moves fast.

Simran S.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place! It's quite close to the centre of Gatlinburg and all the other fun wineries/activities. We had some pancakes, omelettes as well as the hot chocolate with a refill. Fantastic food for a morning in the mountains! Our waitress checked on us often and was nice enough to help with any understanding on the menu items. Good place, would definitely go back!

Corey H.

Yelp
The line looked long but moved quickly. Food and service were both outstanding! Would highly recommend.

emily h.

Yelp
It was good simple American food, just had hair in my coffee when I took a sip. I think waitresses in any restaurant need to wear hair nets when dealing with food and drinks

Jasmin C.

Yelp
The servers were very friendly and I got seated right away. The best part are definitely the pancakes :)

Kadence C.

Yelp
great food! everything was cooked to perfection! when we arrived, they had a long line out the door and we were near the back. despite this, we were seated and had a waitress at our table within 10 minutes. definitely recommend!

Mike K.

Yelp
The service was top-notch and very well detailed. Rare 5-star review, in part because, our 12-year old son had "probably the best breakfast I've ever had at a restaurant". we got there a bit early and when we left there was quite a wait to get in, so go early. In an area with all of the pancake restaurants, the entire family was happy we stopped there. Bonus, we were sat under the Penn State banner.

Joy S.

Yelp
Establishment was okay... it's like walking into grandmas log cabin. There are stuffed dolls everywhere, so that's kinda creepy but doesn't change much. The service was good, our waiter was "bland" but she was attentive and not over bearing. The reason I did 4 stars and thought about doing three. The food was not the best I've had this last few days. My son got a cabin special and it tasted a little funny. Their syrup was not real maple - which was disappointing considering any other places around have real maple. They did do a good job and make sure that there was no grease or butter on my eggs which no other place had done - this is why I gave them the 4 and not three.

Tippy F.

Yelp
The food was great. Fresh and hot. Best server. She was very nice. Thanks for a great experience. I guess have to keep just writing because it say 85 letters. Wth

Laura L.

Yelp
Our favorite breakfast place in Gatlinburg. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. It's closest to "what momma makes". Get here early--the lines can be long, even in off season.

Chris W.

Yelp
Egg shells in our pancakes, western omelette with raw uncooked insides. We have been coming for 10 years and the manager seemed like she could care less about our concerns. Her response was that happens all the time... They took a whole dollar off for our problem....

Amy R.

Yelp
The food was fantastic and the staff super helpful and friendly. The line was long to get in (always a good sign in my opinion) but moved super quick. The food came quickly and we really enjoyed it! The all you can eat biscuits and gravy for 7.95 was definitely a good deal! A huge perk was the free parking! If you've been to Gatlinburg, then you know!
