I remember eating this when I was a kid. I used to go to knott's and afterwards, head to the funnel cake and buy a plate of it.
Before, it used to be a small outside thing, people order it outside through a small window. and I would sit outside to eat it. But now, it's inside a store, which has tables and chairs for convenience.
I was craving funnel cakes and this is the place I thought of. I got the 1 topping and 1 scoop of ice cream. Its was around $12 something. I think a bit pricey. The plate is good for 2-3 people. I got the strawberry and mint and chip. My friend said it's a weird mix, but hey I like those two flavors so it isn't weird for me! It was good! hit my cravings!
After eating it, the strawberry was too much. At first it wasn't sweet, since the strawberry hadn't soaked in to the funnel cake, but afterwards, when it settled in the funnel cake, it was a bit too sweet for me. Had to scrap the strawberry off.
The tables are really dirty with we got there. There were tables where there was still powered sugar everywhere on the table. I know it gets messy, esp with powered sugar, but they could have cleaned it, there wasn't a lot of people there. And when It was cleaned there, was still dirty sugar stains on the table, kinda gross.
No one has mentioned it, but there's 1 hour free parking for the Knott's Marketplace, when you drive in the knott's area and stay on your left lane, before the Ghost Rider bridge, you turn left for public parking for 1 hour. There's a sign, but it's kinda small, esp at late at night when we went. You can always ask the person who is controlling pedestrians and traffic where to park..that's what we did. But I think if you get food or buy stuff at Knott's Marketplace, you can get to park more hours either less than the price or get more free hours, didn't pay close attention. Max parking you pay will be $25 and can park as long as you want.
