La Ferme du Poulet

"This picturesque 17C stone - built edifice has been magnificently transformed into a restaurant. The haunt of discerning foodies (the chef won a 2016 culinary award for his pork pies), the interior has been updated and the menu reflects a distinct regional slant." - Michelin Inspector

What a beautiful place! Nice rooms, beautiful design, bed was a bit hard for me but ok for 1 night. Diner was absolute a party for the mouth and mind, our waiter was a young man, who speaks very good English (for a Frenchman 😉) service was absolute super! And the kitchen was so good! The perfect night for us to end our trip before we went back to Holland! Note for the waiter: hope you will see the Teskey brothers live someday, thank you for your help and good advice 🙏🏻 Note for the chef: absolute amazing 👌🏻 Whole service is perfect! Kindness and warmth! Till next time!

Worth the detour to overnight and enjoy diner. Large, quiet, clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent WIFI signal. Large parking for car. Very good table. Remarkable building.

We did not stay in the hotel as we live nearby. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with friends today. Excellent service, beautiful decor and cuisine of a very high standard! We will be back and look forward to the spring when we can enjoy the lovely terrace.

A wonderful place. We've found parking right outside the restaurant. The place is warm and inviting to stay at, and well designed. The menu is very clear to English speakers, and we found easily the dishes. The plates has been served with no rush, with a replacement of the forks & knifes. After the dinner we had also a good cup of espresso. The bill has been served in the reception (its a part of a hotel, i think). I you are here around, don't hesitate. This is the place to eat!

This hotel is a real find though, you cannot believe how, so close to a motorway or in the middle of an industrial estate you can find such tranquillity. We did not find it easily but as a point of reference for others it is behind and to the right of the Campagnile. The room was clean comfortable and had a bath room with a separate toilet. The bath was large and comfortable. The bed was excellent and we slept very well. We had dinner that was delicious a menu for €32 each and next morning a typically French breakfast no frills but very good with homemade bread and jams. Bed breakfast and dinner came to €210 which is quite expensive for a stop over but actuall it was really worth it. Lovely place lovely staff and lovely food. A real gem

We were full of trepidation after looking at Google maps for the location of this hotel. It is situated in the middle of a very large commercial / industrial site close to the motorway. The approach was along a dusty avenue of plane trees. Then we entered a beautiful courtyard and an old abbey. The parking is very good and the hotel really lovely. Our room was large and quiet and cool, in a very hot day. My wife maintains that the restaurant was the best we’ve eaten at fir years. It was very good. The staff were friendly and efficient, but spoke little English. A real find!

After a long 8 hour drive from London, just driving up the tree-lined entrance to the hotel started to relax me. Parking is on site and the hotel is only minutes from the motorway. The building is absolutely beautiful, but it was the garden that truly made the difference. A lovely cold glass of wine before a sumptuous dinner, cooked to perfection, made our stay memorable. The bedrooms were well-appointed and very quiet. Breakfast was delicious with home-made jams, fresh orange juice and great coffee. We'll definitely be back.

What a surprising find in the middle of an industrial estate. The setting must have been wonderful, close to the banks of the Saone, once upon a time. It was rather wonderful to be led by our satnav (whose nagging I usually ignore) through all the bustle of modernity up a gravel path into a wonderfully peaceful courtyard with ample parking. Everything was very efficient and clean. A handy lift to a spacious room on the first floor. An interesting menu well cooked and served. Overall a reasonably priced and convenient stopover on the way south, and I would think a good base from which to explore the Beaujolais and Lyon. We will return
