"This nicely restored former coaching inn offers tasty dishes showcasing produce of the local terroir; it also has comfortable guestrooms and a popular summer swimming pool. The welcome is particularly charming. A restaurant that is as friendly as it is stylish." - Michelin Inspector

We stayed there for two nights as part of our visit in the Loire Valley. It was a wonderful experience. The owners run the hotel and are on top of everything. It is beautifully kept, clean, very conformable rooms and beds, and it has everything you need as a family to make your visit in the valley a memorable one. The hotel is 20 to 30 minutes away from the main castles and tourist attractions of the Loire valley, but it is in a quite town so will be able to relax by the pool, the terrace, and have a wonderful dinner at the Micheline restaurant. We will be coming back on our next trip to the area.

We were impressed by the large wooden staircase in reception. The wooden theme continued in the dining room which was very tastefully furnished. On entering the dining room we were welcomed by Madame and a large roaring fire. The food was different and tasty. From the furnishings to the glasses and dishes, everything was impeccably tasteful, making this a dining experience. Our room was clean, spacious and pleasant and the bed was comfortable. Parking at the hotel was 10 euros for the night, a little expensive considering it was free for diners and we both stayed and dined. There was a free public car park opposite the hotel.

We had read nice recensions about this hotel. What a disappointment ! Never had a feeling of being welcome. The room was on first floor and there is no lift. Being slighly handicaped the owner never offer to carry my suitcase.| We left the hotel it was too cold. The owners didn't want to admit it. We had to argue.|Very unpleasant. Not at all service minded.

We stayed here for one night on our way back to the UK from the South of France. The Hotel was a small extremely well maintained property. The bedrooms and all other areas were spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable. A lovely courtyard with ample seating was an added bonus. All the staff we met were very friendly and cheerful. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant. The food was superb, a high standard and good value for money. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. One to remember for our next trip to France.

What a feast for the eyes and the taste buds! The chef here is incredible - he used only the freshest and best products with tons of goodies from his garden. Not only does he offer an incredible assortment of exciting dishes, each one is more intriguing and excel that the next, he creates phenomenal new tastes & textures. I hate pretentious cuisine, but this is just a unique surprise filled experience. The most unusual was the “entremet” of wasabi sorbet!!! Just super different and delicious. Like nothing I have ever eaten before! If you are in the area, this is worth the stop!!!

We stayed for one night before visiting Chateau de Chambord the next day, which is only a 10 min drive away.||We arrived 16h and enjoyed the new heated swimming pool (towels can be rented at the reception) which was a relaxing start after a long day driving.||We had an excellent dinner at the hotel tasting an imaginative menu with high quality ingredients.||Our 2 rooms were towards the courtyard away from the street and provided a very good rest. The rooms are freshly renovated and very clean with very good beds.||The continental breakfast was also a nice start in the new day.||We would stay again.

The hotel is a Logis de France member and classed as a Hotel de Charme. I think I agree with the categorisation. It is an old coaching inn well converted with an inner courtyard and rooms around it.The structures in and around the internal courtyard are painted red and the plastered walls egg yolk yellow My room was a violet cum mauve colour with light oak panelling. The wifi worked perfectly. The shower was described as Italian style. I unusually took a shower before supper and could not work out ||why it is referred to as Italian. It had no tray as a base and was large enough for three people, and the water was powerful. Hair shampoo was provided. At 95 Euros for single occupancy with breakfast charged on top it is at the upper end of pricing for a traveller's hotel. ||I slept well. The chef looked after breakfast though the only hot item was a boiled egg done by me in a boiler on the buffet table. It was laid out in the bar and snack room which as with the rest of the rooms had the light oak panel theme. It is high quality and simple. I had some of the hotel's own smoked ham and tasted the difference to commercially produced ham. The croissant from the bakery opposite was excellent.||Overall this hotel is one to remember and possibly use again even though it charges more than the usual places I use. ||The in property parking is shut currently as a swimming pool is being built. Parking over the road was entirely adequate.

Restaurant review: the food was beautifully presented, but the taste was mediocre. The entree (starter) was way too salty. The plat principale ( main) was not very flavorful. Overall, I was disappointed
