"Brittany is full of magical places and the Abers region is one such! Just a stone’s throw from the lighthouses of Ile Vierge and Ile de Wrac’h, this handsome neo-Brittany house enjoys a superb location opposite the picturesque Lilia Beach. The food is of regional inspiration with a range of tasty surf and turf ingredients and the lunchtime menu is a steal. In the evening, two set menus and one à la carte play a bistronomic Brittany score (oysters, abalone, fish of the day, veggies from the cottage garden, seaweed and sarrazin wheat). The spacious dining room sports a minimalist vibe with white walls and a terrace." - Michelin Inspector

This hotel has great potential but needs more attention toward customer experience. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was lovely and spotless. We tried also the restaurant on the night of our arrival. It was complicated to get a table, even if we were guests of the hotel, but they manage to give us one. The food was pretty good, although I was personally expecting a little more from the whole experience. The service and staff was absolutely not at the level of a Michelin guide mentioned restaurant. During the aperitif, we ordered a small plate and a bottle of wine. All was excellent, but we waited 15 min for a bottle of wine while the food had been already served. Same situation during dinner, we waited 15 min a bottle of water and had to sollecite it. I give 4/5 because we were extremely happy with the room, the view, the breakfast and cleaning. The Restaurant has great potential but service must improve. Looking forward to come back.

First the positive point: all of the personnel is very friendly but not efficient. And that ist about it. ||HOTEL: The rooms in the hotel are extremely small and only have 1 chair for 2 people. The balcony is even smaller for 2 people. The rooms have white walls with no pictures or decoration. The rooms do NOT have a safe as stated on the internet site of the hotel. And the Wifi does not work at all. The price considering the options is extremely high.||RESTAURANT: The interior of the restaurant has no charm what so ever. The food is (considering French standards) very expensive, with a very limited choice on the menu and worst of all it was cold when we received it (it was taken back an "rewarmed"). The breakfast is also very over priced when compared with the offering. Very little cheese on a small plate and even less ham on a smaller plate. The bread was not really fresh.||Summary: This is a typical Hotel / Restaurant which lives from its view of the ocean and the landscape and does not try to add a further benefit with good services!

We stayed here for one night. Had a lovely room with a comfy bed and view of the sea. We really enjoyed the breakfast and 3-course meal we had for dinner as well! A lovely location near the Île Vierge lighthouse as well with a great coastal walk.

Nice welcome on arrival, room small but cheap. there was a notice saying it was being done up but it seemed fine. Public rooms had very dirty furniture, the seats need recovering and in the dining room you felt a bit wary about sitting on them. Stair carpet was stained and wallpaper marked all the way up the stairs||Breakfast was 12 euros and not worth it, dreadful coffee and no croissant or eggs which might be expected at this price. Nice swimming pool and lovely location overlooking the bay. Needs a bit of management tlc and then it would be fine

I think the owners suffer from OCD based on the table settings and serving patterns. Everything precise and perfect. The food is good too, reasonably priced and good quality fresh produce. Superb location with wonderful sea views from the dining room. Well worth a visit, and it will not break the bank. The maitre d' Monsieur Huzet iffers you a friendly welcome. Recommended!

Wonderfully friendly and accommodating staff helped to give this restful hotel a genuine home from home atmosphere. Situated in a quiet location adjacent to a tranquil bay with sandy beach, Castel 'Ach was perfect for riding the Tro Bro Leon routes and enjoying runs along the coast with the sea or swimming pool to cool off in afterwards. The restaurant is excellent and clearly a favourite with the locals, our only suggestion would be to vary the menu a little more or have daily specials for guests staying for more than a few nights.

We liked Chambre 35, one flight up, a small room with a spacious, well-equipped bathroom and big glass doors opening onto a small balcony facing the sea. Parking is free on the hotel lot behind the building. Breakfast was 12€, not a buffet but the server will offer you yogurt and fruit compote. Le Castel Ac’h could be hard to find: drive west from the center of Plouguerneau on D71 following signs to Lilia (a village) and keep going past the village until you get to the beach, and there it is.

This is my first stay at the hotel, which was modern and well presented and in a superb position. I have eaten in the restaurant a few times and been pleased with food and service. The first night of my stay I used the restaurant. The food was still good, my friend doesn't eat beef, shellfood and is fish fussy so she had difficulty [her problem but I was surprised there was no chicken dish on the menu]. It was a Saturday and they were busy and my one complaint was that as a couple we were put on a large round table in the middle of the restaurant and when I asked if anther table was available I was told NO. I did notice later a couple were seated by the entrance and they appeared to ask to be moved and they were. In my book one black mark for hotel. Try the fruit de mare in the starters, great.
