We had a wonderful evening at this charming Bavarian restaurant just a short drive from Salzburg. The set menus were excellent, with a thoughtful vegetarian option alongside the traditional choices. Every dish was delicious, beautifully prepared, and generously served. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and went out of her way to help us with translations, since the menu is only in German—a gesture that made the experience even more welcoming. The wine selection was also outstanding and paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, it was a warm and memorable dining experience, and we would happily return!

What an amazing place. Relaxed vibe, we sat outdoors, food was delicious - I especially recommend the carpaccio, the goat cheese salad, the fillet steak. Some great wine choices and just incredible kind and friendly hospitality. Five stars!

Lovely restaurant located in southern Bavaria close to the border with Austria. The quality of ingredients was stellar and it made even dishes like the salad stand out. The servers are amazing and very friendly, and helped us to order since the menu was in German and we weren't able to understand it. We really enjoyed all the dishes and drinks we ordered. Highly recommended if you are visiting the area!!

In my humble opinion the best restaurant in the region. The ambiance, food, and personnel's attention to detail would even deserve a star. What you get for your money is at par with star rated restaurants. We will certainly come back.

Bei einem Michelin Bip erwartet man leckeres Essen und vernünftige Preise. Und in den Lohmayr Stub‘n wird man nicht enttäuscht. Das 4- Gänge Menu (plus ein kleines Amuse Gueule) mit Aperitif, einm achterl Wein, Espresso und einer Flasche Wasser für 70 Euro? Da wird man lange suchen müssen. Als Hauptgang gab es Kalbsbäckchen. Da kann man eine Menge falsch machen. Hier wurden jedoch alles richtig gemacht. Wunderbar zart und trotzdem nicht fett. Dieses Restaurant verdient einen Umweg. Von der Autobahn A8 gerade mal 1 Minute = 1,3 Kilometer entfernt und man isst lecker und gut.
