Amazing experience! The service was excellent, the interior is stylish and cozy, and the food was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with great music. Highly recommend!

Went here off the recommendation of a friend. The physical space needs a lot of work, it’s a small intimate setting but the decor needs to be updated. The food on the other hand was amazing. Well prepared and expertly presented. The bartender was somewhat limited. All in all it’s worth a visit.

We had the mofonguito trio and even as an appetizer, it was plenty for dinner for two people. Easily the best mofongo we've had since we were in Puerto Rico.

This is my personal experience and how I felt!! My sister and I was dying for a good frozen margarita after a long day at work and we usually go to La cantina Heights which they are amazing, but this time I told her let’s try this place that I heard about on instagram and it’s literally 3 blocks from my house. We got there and they only had 3 tables with people. I didn’t see no type of decoratio beside two signs on the wall like it was just plain. The waiter seat us down and she was really nice the entire time. We got 2 frozen mango margaritas for $8 dollars and those cups were small and the margarita was not so yummy. We got 3 appetizers and 2 mojitos after that and the mojitos were not bad but the portion were small. The food was ok nothing crazy for me. We go a hooka, $30 dollars the first one and the refills are $20. They bill came out for $85 dollars and the hooka $30. I personally don’t recommend this restaurant. What you see on social media is totally different from reality. Ooh and if you buy from the happy hour menu, you have to paid cash only. Am gonna continue going to my regular spot.

I think I may have found the best happy hour deal in Manhattan and it’s just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! This wild happy hour is from 4-8pm and includes an incredible deal of just $.99 cent margs and sangrias with the purchase of a very reasonably priced entree! 🍹 They also have $8 full apps, $8 cocktails and wine and $35 pitchers! 🍷 🥃 Highly recommend this spot for a group party dinner or a fun date weekday date night (or at Patrick’s day lol)

This is such a cool spot! We went for the 99¢ happy hour - frozen margaritas and sangrias were excellent. From the food, my favorite was the pasta with shrimp. Angel, the owner, is a great guy and made sure everything was perfectly organized for us. Highly recommend!

Aiyana was so amazing. She recommended some good food. She was kind and very professional. The food was amazing. The drink was excellent. I like that the cocktails was only 99cents. They had flavor from passion, mango, strawberry, Tamarindo and peach. So amazing. Will be coming back again:

Went to Lola Lola for happy hour with my friends after work and did not want to leave! First of the happy hour prices are un matched, we tried a couple of drinks including the Sangria, Margarita and the dragonfruit mojito as well as the blue hawaiian! My friends ordered hookah which always hits! For dinner, I has to try their mofonguitos rellenos and I swear ive never had a better tasting mofonguito in new york city! We also did the pasta and chofan which was cooked to perfection and ended the night with a picadera tray after all the drinks. Lol The food was 10/10 and the service even better! I’m definitely coming back to try out their brunch, but the happy vibes are a must!!

I was in the area with a friend and saw their happy hour ad on instagram and decided to try it . A couple of things I didn't like we was not really explained the menu all was said if you wanted to do the happy hour you must purchase an entree that's how they get you then we get an entree but there a catch in order to get the .99 drinks it's the frozen margaritas and the sangria only that was not explained at all and my first drink was not what I asked for then they only take cash who carries cash ??? So that's an inconvenience and extra charge the app was good drinks ehh not a place I would jump for to go again when a customer comes in they should be explained the menus that's how people get scammed.

Yummy brunch! The brunch includes an appetizer, entree, side and dessert. And 2 hour unlimited mimosas or sangria. Thank you for the awesome customer service, JJ! JJ was polite and attentive. The is restaurant is small and lively.

Ive never had the food the vibe is cool i went back on a Tuesday and it was completely empty but that didn't stop them from charging $40 for an empty club. Most likely wont be coming back.

I would never thought I'll have to experience a roach in my drink. The ice cube of Lola Lola had a roach in it. When I brought it to the bar employee attention he did absolutely nothing but offer another drink.

Their food wasn't good. But their nightlife experience was great! I left my sweater and getting some one on the phone who wanted to help was a headache.

This place was highly recommended to me by a friend. I took an uber from Westchester to meet up with a cousin there last Saturday afternoon. Checked the hours online and it stated the establishment opened at 3pm on a Saturday. We were there approximately at 3:15. Although the front door was open they told us the place is officially open at 4pm. We told them we checked online and apparently there is a mistake. They told us we could sit and wait which is what we decided to do. When the server walked in and saw us there (the place is the size of a walk-in closet), she was not pleased. She made some comments about the wait being long because nothing was set up. We told her we understood but then she was talking under her breath about people being so rude and walking in when the establishment was not even open. She did this because another party was walking through the doors and sat at a table. We explained to her that we looked up the hours and online it stated the place was open at 3. She walked away and another man came to us and we showed him the online schedule and he again said it was wrong so we told him that it should be corrected but that we would leave and find another place. There was no attempt to have us wait or offer us any accommodations. He walked away as well while we picked up our belongings. Keep in mind that they haf the front door open and never told us or the other party not to sit. They wete rude and their customer service has a lot to be desired. I cannot comment on food or drinks because my visit never got that far. I will never return and will advise anyone I know to spend their money somewhere with better service and less animosity.

The food was great, really tasty and the drinks where ok . However the service sucks and the place was not even busy at All. My daughters' food to for ever to arrived. The girls bathroom doesn't have a latch to lock, and is hard to hold the door at the same time ur using the toilet which sucks . This place is good overall but needs a better service and they should fix issue with the bathroom.

This place is great for food & drinks!! We went on a Friday around 8pm Hookahs out. It's very small. Lisa was our server, she was very good, told us about happy hour appetizers & drinks. Margaritas are $5 Chicken Quesadillas are great & chicken Taquitos both on happy hour menu .automatic 15% gratuity our tabs.

I went for quick drinks and hookah with my boyfriend. Their outdoor deck (set up for Covid-19 reopening phase) was quite spacious and tables were far from each other. The waitress was friendly. My bf was told by one of his friends that their mofonguito is good, so We decided to go with mofonguitos trio. They were so delicious! Very meaty and crispy outside but moist inside. They were actually the best I have ever had!

My brother in law decided to host my sisters birthday dinner here for a group of 12 of us. I must say after reading the reviews I was a little unsure about this place however, to my surprise our food was actually GOOD!! The service was a little off but, that's typical in Uptown. I also double checked our bill because again it's Uptown & they tend to double / triple charge you at times & again nothing extra was added on our bill :) After a certain time the place becomes a lounge with a DJ & your typical bottle service ladies. I almost forgot to add they have happy hour drink specials until 9pm however, stay away from the sangria it's not good plus they are poured in tiny glasses. They also have bottle specials until 12am. Overall, the food is yummmy here but, again the service needs some improvement along with their sangria lol :)

They need to spend money to get better outdoor furniture. Food was mediocre. Rum punch was horrible!!! WASTE OF MONEY.

Okay. As I sit in here I felt it was only right to come on Yelp to share my first time experience. Not sure of the waitress name, she is very slim and slender with a bad attitude. Im hoping it is only person in this establishment with this type of personality. She was rude from the first time I walked in. She sat us and didnt come back until about 10 mins later. We ordered our drinks and did not tell us about any of the specials. She rushed us into ordering more food and also snapped at my friend for making a honest mistake about his drink. Overrall, the chicken wings are good as well as the margaritas (frozen) on the rock is very mediocre. Not sure if I will return because she was not welcoming at all

Went on a Sunday at 1pm for brunch. Food was delicious, especially the churrasco. The waitress (Heidy) was friendly and attentive. Music was great (balads) perfectly fitting for early in the day. Service was super friendly. Will definitely return many times. My new favorite spot.

Horrible experience at this spot....I would stay away from this spot especially with way better places in the area. First of all, the drinks are over priced they charged us almost 40$ for two drinks. We asked for the price of the hookah and the hookero said it is 25$ when he comes back with the hookah he says its 35$. That same dude took our hookah several minutes later while we were dancing and changed it. When I asked him why he took our hookah without asking us he said "it was off" ....mind you the hookah was still fine. If anything, he should of asked us if we wanted a refill not just take it and make us pay for a refill. When we complained the manager said we had to pay for the refill even though we did not ask for one...... we ended up leaving. It's not about the money, but the bad services this is not how you do things. Spot is shady! Stay away people.

I live in Massachusetts , kept seeing this place on instagram I was like great! I finally make to NY and make my way into this place. I was excited, turned out to be a total disappointment, I ordered my food (Churrascos with mashed yuca) in which it took like 2 hours for it to come out. I was wondering why because it was empty; it was only my friend and I. For starters service sucked, Food finally comes out and is its cold, I had asked for my churrasco to be well done, it was not. I couldn't even cut through it. The churrasco was super rubbery. I had told the waitress my issue at this point. And I did not want to wait longer being I waited so long he first time. I wanted to leave. She brings out this person who might have been the manager, I explain to him the situation. Then this man decides to argue back with me that my food is well done, that I am going crazy. For me well done, should not have any pink in my meat. He still argued with me. We came to the agreement he would fix the make the churrasco well done, and it was only going to take 2 mins. So, 15 minutes later sill no food and when it finally came out, it seemed I like I was re living the first scene, food was cold and the meat still not well done just gross. I will certainly not recommend this place & never ever step foot in that place again far travels for huge disappointment. I've never met a manager that actually argued with a customer. That's a big no! Specially steak. :(

This is going to be one of those days that are unplanned , my so both of my cousins invited me to dinner and as always I was looking for a spot like somewhere in soho but this time to my surprise she asked me to come to this place , at first I Had my doubts since I am more of an adventurous eater than she is. But I decided to give it a chance Since her friend was the owner and I do believe that we should support our local businesses. It was a late night Since she knew the owner of the kitchen was open house for us after 10 or so The venue becomes more of a tie far with loud music Etc. When the food arrived I just couldn't believe what I was hearing the food it's undescribable like no other it was so good I mean By the time that I decided to post this I had nothing left to post a picture of what I was eating. From the pastas to the steak everything is sis undescribable the food is beyond delicious like I do not know what other words to use. I honestly would recommend to go to in the daytime The food just the food please just go with an open mind the food is just amazing literally don't judge a book by its cover this place deserves praise especially the person that is making this delicious food please go and just experience it for yourself. I'm just disappointed that I didn't nap post any pictures that's how good the food is!!!! Please go and experience it for yourself. whoever is in the kitchen cooking these amazing meal literally Deserves the spotlight and the owner for opening up this unique place.

Great set up for outdoor dining but terrible service. Manager and waiters are rude. There is no telling that there is a 90 min timeframe. Brought bill when the place was empty and even after attempting to purchase more drinks the manager refused. Idk who would turn away business.

The most horrible service and not mention robbing their own community. Unexplained taxes and fees. At the minute we were sat down the waitress warns us that the menu may not be updated and some of the charges will have $3-$4 surcharge but that she wasn't sure. They're corrupt business practices. The light was so dim that I don't even know what I was eating. I should've walked out but because it was a last minute decision with others. We decided to stay! If you're don't know understand customer service and procedures this is your place. If not runnnnnn. The only person I would recommend this place to is my ex baby momma.

False advertising! We spent the $50 required to get the free hookah. And they refused to give us the free hookah "because its charged seperate" the bartender, nor the manager on the floor cared to hear us out and charged us full price.. you have to order $50 worth of drinks/food and then order a hookah amd get it free. They tried to get us off a technicality. First and last time going there. Your hard earned money is better spent elsewhere.

I came here to eat something good but quickly for my husbands birthday; being that I had to go to work in a few hours. When we got to the restaurant, their were no customers, about like 10 servers just hanging out and smoking hookah, being that their was no customers we asked if we can be seated under the canopy where the sun won't hit us at all, the waiter wanted to seat us out of the canopy, out the loop and on the streets were we look like we weren't even part of the restaurant smh. We asked for the drink menu and were told we could not drink unless we were going to order food, which we were. Before our food arrived we were told we had 90 mins to eat otherwise we had to buy a bottle to keep the table, a bum got near my husband and asked him for $3, all dirty and smelly, it was a horrible experience with horrible service, worst service I've ever had. The fact that all the employees were just talking sooo loud and smoking Hooka and acting ghetto I would never go back their or recommend anyone to go their.

First time here. Waitress was rude inattentive and even looked annoyed the whole time. We sat down, didn't get a menu until 15 mins and when we requested a drink menu we asked for it ourselves at the bar because the waitress said she forgot after waiting for ten minutes. It was busy and only had one server. When it quieted down another server was also there but she was taking selfies the whole time. After we ate, our plate sat at our table the whole time. Not once did any server pass by to see if we needed anything or were content. We had to basically cry out for help for any kind of service. I don't recommend this place to anyone. The food was decent. One star was too much. Won't come back here ever. And this is coming from someone who works in the customer service field and oftens the uptown restaurants.

Came with friends for Happy hour and the waitress was horrible! Not attentive at all. On the phone while tending to people. Even when expressing how dissatisfied we were she acted very unbothered. Would I return, nah!

This place is the worst, and over priced.... did a brunch, I came early, they charged me $12 per cup of mimosa, the food came out... the rice is super mushy, taste like mash potatoes, the service is horrible... instead of trying to fix the food, they want to charge per item to replace meanwhile I barely touched the rice.... the speaker system sounds like shit... all treble, no bass.... hands down, the worst place I've been to and I've been around restaurants... next time I'll stay in the Bronx, this is a prime example as to why I dislike the heights... thank you for the worst meal ever...

Dear lola lola, I promise one day i will come in early and eat the food here sense every dish you post looks amazing. But you made me sad and It sucks because I made sure to come with a big appetite to order everything. First I got there at 4:33pm. We were seated and we got one menu for two people then after a few minutes we got two menus lol so i was surprise that the menu was short there really wasn't alot of variety, second there was no frying oil because 5pm was too early and they opened a lil late ‍ so i could not order, wings, mofonguito, quesadilla anything that required oil .. so we got a ceviche which i cant say was good i felt like itwas heavy on the lemon juice and salt who knows ‍ i just went to eat. So for entree i chose the skirt steak with yellow rice ,but got skirt steak with mashed yucca not what i ordered..... but the yucca was delicious the steak could use more flavor... my friend had the shrimp fettuccine and the pasta was a lil hard and also very low on salt. Im just sad that i didnt get the experience i expected from lolas I love Dominican food and had high hopes. And as for the drinks i really didnt go for drinks i went to eat but i had a margarita and that was that .....

This place is a joke and should be avoided at all cost. Stopped in here to eat with my husband and kids because of all the hype this place gets on Instagram. The food is delicious, I will give them that. The real issue comes when it's time for you to pay your bill. The waitress gives us a check with food prices that are completely different than what is on the menu and her only explanation is: oops, I forgot to tell you we are remodeling and the prices are different now. then gives me a song and dance about how the owner isn't there and there was nothing she could do to fix my check. After almost a half hour another girl comes in and says she'll fix the check. She manually adjusts the price of the foodi, and leaves tax and gratuity the same. Here I am trying to explain to her how taxes work and how the tax is not just an arbitrary number that is decided upon by the cash register and she insists that she can't do anything about that because that number is generated by a computer. I ended up throwing some cash on the table and walking out. That's when the staff followed me and said they'd fix the receipt. After how flippant the wait staff was I really didn't feel like I wanted to leave a 64 dollar tip like the receipt was suggesting, and one of the servers has the nerve to say that this situation is not their fault and I should include a gratuity. Seriously?!?!? The staff at this place ruined what has supposed to be a nice family dinner.

I seriously hate to do this but I just had to share my experience at Lola's on January 1, 2017. Being that it is the first day of the new year and I typically go to this spot most Sunday's when I'm free because of their amazing happy hour (every day from 5 to 9), the great food and their make-you-want-to-dance-your-booty-off dj... I decided to take my cousins there so we can start off the year at one of my personal favorite Sunday spots. And honestly, this place really is a gem in the heights because the customer service is usually good and even the fact that they are sometimes a little slow doesn't bother me because the music while you wait along with the hookah and appetizers are well worth it. So a typical Sunday at Lola's for me involves getting their $10 hookah, I usually get empanada appetizers and the Salmon with mashed potatoes is honestly one of my favorite dishes. But this particular Sunday, I arrive at around 7:30 with a group of 6 people, and there is this ONE GIRL in particular that always gets something in my order wrong EVERY TIME I GET HER. So for the sake of being mindful that clearly not everyone should be a waitress and the fact that we all make mistakes I won't mention her name but, OH MY GOODNESS... she's not new anymore and it's seriously every time she messes up. Now I don't like to make people feel bad and I'm not confrontational at all so when she comes to serve me and my table I don't make a fuss or ask for someone else. We all order and I should mention again that this was around 7:30 and it's 8:40 and we are still waiting FOR MY EMPANADAS that should come BEFORE the food because they are APPETIZERS and just some of the entrees are coming out. One of my cousin proceeds in telling our waitress that we want the empanadas before the entrees but the waitress admits that she hasn't put the order in. One of my cousins has ordered a chicken mofongo and he was still waiting on it (it is now 9:30) while pretty much most of the other entrees were aten and my empanadas (which I remind you were supposed to be BEFORE the food arrives and now it is well after the fact) are on the table, burnt as charcoal and I was still missing one more order of empanadas. At this point my patience and niceness has run out and I must say I seriously HATE complaining and making a scene but enough is enough so I ask to speak to the manager. The manager comes right away and I tell him the problem that I'm having with the waitress and he immediately tries to resolve the problem. I appreciate that but it wasn't enough. He was very apologetic and said he wouldn't charge me for the empanadas but the waitress still charged me for one out of three AND MY COUSINS FOOD NEVER CAME OUT. Not only was he starving at this point but the least they couldn't have done was give him a complimentary dish ON THEM for our inconvenience and for their fuck up. So at this point I tell the manager that we don't want the food we just want the check. Can you believe we had to wait about another 15 minutes for it? My table and I are no longer sitting at our table but we are just all standing up and waiting impatiently to leave when finally the waitress comes without the check saying that we never asked her for it (when I had told the manager I wanted to close out my account and pay) and when she comes back she tells me she has to talk to me and then tells me that she didn't remove the missing items from the check and has to come back. So why did she approach me with the check to begin with to then take it back? I must have had to send her back like three times to fix the check on account of the things I didn't receive or that I received but wasn't paying for because the quality was unaceptable. The manager eventually comes out and speaks to me about the check and my cousin takes the check and gives him the credit card because she no longer cares how much the bill is and just wants to leave. The waitress goes and charges her card and the manager apologized and blamed it on them being understaffed in the kitchen and on the cooks drinking on the job (still don't know why he'd admit to that) and one of the empanada trays were still charged and he didn't give us the 15% discount he said he would for the inconvenience. Now, like I said before, I've been to Lola's on a Sunday many times and I've never had an issue until this particular individual staring working there. And this is honestly nothing personal because I don't know her and have never seen her until she started working there but she is seriously NOT someone who should be waitressing people because of her incompetence. All the other wait staff are GREAT and I've never had any issues with them and they are very professional and at least come by to the table every once in a while to make sure that everything is ok. The waitress we got never even got close to our table after we ordered. And may I add that at least three tables that came after we did got their food before we did. Terrible!

Nice and cozy place. Drinks are good, bartender was friendly. Never been here late at night or on a weekend so I don't know how crowded it gets. I would definitely come back and I would recommend this place to anyone.

BAD customer service, the girl serving us, didn't even know English & wasn't even paying attention to ehat we were asking for, we keep calling her for what we wanted to ordered & she basically didn't want to work that night, HOOKA WAS SUPPOSED to be free MONDAY's and the hookah person wated to charger $10, if we didn't got more then $50 in food, LIKE COME ONE, make ya mind ! Lola lola is a nice spot to go for a light dinner & drinks. Love their happy hour drinks especially their frozen margaritas for $5. I also enjoy their chicken penne ala vodka. Very presentable and tasty. Ive also had their chicken mofongitos veryyyy delicious. The only issue is that these platters are smaller than other places ive been to. Around 9 the dj comes in and make the environment much more fun. Love this place!

Horrible service. Currently here with a party of 4. We ordered food and after myself and another girl received our order and finished our meal we are still waiting for the other 2 girls food. Waitress finally came back to the table and the food was never ordered after being here an hour!! We have empty water glasses and watered down drinks. Their IG promos are a lie. The quesadilla was good but not worth the subpar service won't be back.

Service was horrible, food sucked, drinks were okay, hookah was trash! Bartender was rude. I sat at the bar with my friend who asked for a mojito. The bartender said "I can't prepare cocktails." Now I'm confused because ... ain't this a bar? lol. I asked "Why not?" she said "Because if a lot of customers come, you're going to want more mojitos and I can't prepare so many mojitos while having a busy bar." My friend and I looked at each other strangely, and so I asked her for something within her options (lol.) She then made a mistake with the billing, I had to point it out and she swore up and down it was not a mistake. Her colleague then walked over and analyzed the situation and told her she was wrong lol.... Also, the hookah guy hit on my friend. I know some people wouldn't mind this, but it was highly inappropriate. After he got turned down, he walked past us without wanting to refill our hookah. For such a small place, staff should be more attentive, respectful and accommodating.
