LOLA

"A word to the wise: You should definitely make a reservation because this Spanish restaurant is extremely popular. On the one hand, this is down to its convivial atmosphere and charming interior – the high ceilings and striking bar are bound to catch the eye. On the other, there are the flavoursome tapas from various regions of the Iberian Peninsula – these are perfect for sharing! When it comes to wine, the focus is also on Spanish labels." - Michelin Inspector

I could not think of a better place to eat Spanish food, traditional but of high quality. Clásicos! And their extremely friendly owners provide amazing service to make you feel welcomed and enjoy your evening there. I didn’t order to try new things, but to fill the heart with lovely simple food I ve tried one after another over the years. This is the place that if i lived by, i would be a recurrent customer. To conclude, their food is soo good that even id their were anywhere in Spain, they will be as full as they are (so book ahead).

Fantastic traditional Spanish tapas, the dishes were authentic and tastes spectacular, it feels like going to Spain! The restaurant was cozy and the staff were extremely friendly! The octopus and tuna dishes really stood out. The only small suggestion is to serve the bread warm and more options (as most of the main dishes were not available).

From atmosphere, to food, to drinks and most of all, the elevated spirit of the staff. You don’t feel you’re in Vienna anymore, you feel you’re in Spain immersing in an amazing experience. Visit them and create memorable memories with your love ones. You will not be disappointed, only elevated with joy.

Lola is a lovely restaurant with 11 small tables, creating an ambiance of warmth and authenticity. You are greeted by a host who greets you with a genuine welcome. I had reached out to the restaurant via email to see if I could be accommodated as the restaurant was fully booked. The host remembered me and greeted me by name! He also recommended the dishes I tried. Food was equally spectacular to the service and ambience. Table. To my right and left were also very pleased with everything. I highly recommend the restaurant.

It is a very small restaurant, so if you are fat like me, you might feel a short claustrophobia at the beginning, but any unpleasant feelings will be more than compensated by the top quality of dishes and extremely nice service. Possibly the best Spanish restaurant in Vienna! Advance reservations are a must.

One of the best and top Spain restaurants which everyone shouldn’t miss out! The seafood is fresh and they are cooked with unique taste and style ! If you have birthday, they will offer you the spain version birthday song which made you felt amazing and memorable! If you want to date someone special, this is the best and right place to amaze your future partner 😎 HIGHLY recommended! Kindly make reservations 1 month in advanced as they are mostly fully booked!

Yelp
Really great spanish tapas! This is a great spot to come with a group of friends or with family. Basically I recommend ordering a bunch if differnent tapas, rather than their main courses. This way you can get a taste of everything! Also, I personally find their tapas better than any of their main dishes. Highly recommend their spanish tortillas, which is also easy to share. Their small seafood dishes (shrimp, octopus, squid, etc) are also delicious. If you're looking for a nice, fun dinner spot with close friends this is definitely a restaurant worth checking out!

Yelp
You know its an authentic tapas restaurant when the tables around you are all spanish speakers. Very laid back atmosphere with solid food. The portions here are larger than the usual tapas but this is also reflected in their prices. I expected to order maybe 8-10 tapas for 4 people but we ended up getting full on 6 dishes. I highly recommend the fish soup, fried calamari and octopus. They also have entrees such as oxtail and steak which looked really tasty. We were however disappointed that they didnt have churros for dessert, that would have completed the meal perfectly. As a wine bar restaurant, they also serve local spanish wines over a wide price range that pair very well with the food. TheThere is a growing demand for tapas restaurants in vienna and Lola is definitely at the forefront of this trend.

Yelp
I've been trying to go to Lola for some time now and I finally made it there. Since Lola is mostly a tapas kind of restaurant, I had the opportunity to try a variety of dishes and here are the highlights: 1. Jamon Iberico and Manchego cheese platter - 4 stars. The Iberico ham was brilliant, it melts in your mouth and together with Manchego made a perfect pairing with a bottle of Spanish wine. Unfortunately, the portion was on a smaller side for almost EUR 20, especially as far as Manchego cheese was concerned. 2. Shrimp in garlic sauce - 5 stars and the star of the evening. Excellent, with a slightly spicy kick in the sauce and just the right amount of garlic and seasoning. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, it was succulent and soft. I highly recommend this dish. 3. Chorizo in white wine - 3.5-4 stars. A very strong dish that needs something (like a lot of bread or the below mentioned croquettes) to provide some counterbalance. It is very salty and a little spicy and the white wine adds a nice touch of acidity. 4. Mushrooms with asparagus - 3 stars. Very bland and neutral. This dish doesn't stand on its own, but it goes well with the above mentioned chorizo dish. 5. Croquettes (potato) - 5 stars. Wow! So crunchy on the outside and so soft and creamy on the inside. This one is a must as well. 6. Calamari - 4 stars. Good but not great. A little chewier than I would have liked them to be and in a desperate need of a side dip. Also, it could have used more seasoning to provide an extra kick. They also have a good selection of Spanish wines. The service was friendly and despite the full restaurant the kitchen managed to get the orders out fairly quickly. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience at Lola and look forward to going back.

Yelp
Super amazing place .. Had my birthday celebrations here last weekend .. The restaurant is plenty of good tapas options which are very tasty .. They also keep good selection of Spanish and Austrian wines to choose from .. The place is usually full in evenings so better reserve your place .. Ambience is decent but warm enough to have a good conversation and share a laugh .. The service is nice and waitresses carry a pleasant smile all the time. If you are in Vienna, this place deserves a visit

Yelp
Really warm Spanisch welcome at the beginning! The atmosphere in restaurant could be improved but the friendly service overcomes this negative point. The gin tonic was well made. We had six different tapas and they were really good! To suggest the aubergine in tempura with honey.

Yelp
Awesome tapas, and delicious 'Jamon Iberico', the prices are reasonable for Vienna and the quality of the food. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for Spanish food.

Yelp
lola tapas is a nice place, you feel welcome and the ambiance is pretty. the service is nice, especially if you know some words of spanish. we got a small portion of chorizo on toast for free as a trial and aftwerwards ordered some soup and tapas, which both very really tasty and great. In general I had a little problem, to find something on the menue, because the serve a lot of dishes with fish and also for a tapas abr the portions were all quiet big. to me a tapas bar is something where you can order small portions of different kind of foods, thats not possible here. the prices are average for normal food, a little bit high. The wine menue surely offers something for everybody, its not toooo big when it comes to open bottles, but its enough to find one and thats the main point. Even though the service was very nice and forthcoming I only give 3 stars because I really had a hard time to find a light evening tapas for a nice price (even a soup was 4,80€)

Yelp
We didn't feel welcomed at all at this restaurant. The male host was so rude to me and my friend. He told us there was at least an hour wait and didn't ask if we would like to be placed on a waiting list. He told me us to come back tomorrow. He was not pleasant. Two white Austrian men who got to the restaurant after I did where seated. Hmmmm.... the host must me a racist.

Yelp
Very trendy Tapas bar in the first district, beautifully designed its cosy & welcoming. Food is delicious. We took 6 tapas to share all were great....The prawns & the Salad with ham & truffle oil were scrumptious the Spanish omelette was ok but not my Favorite. We also has some Spanish cheeses with raisins which were really tasty . Wine was also really good, the waitress was happy to answer any questions we had and was very friendly. All round great meal :)
