Lola’s helped me reconstruct my mom’s wedding dress into a reception dress for my own wedding. They did an excellent job, and created a new yet familiar look that my mom was thrilled to see me in. Honestly, they did such a beautiful job, I felt just as incredible in the one they constructed as I did in my actual wedding dress. Melanie is great, super easy to communicate with, and her seamstress really listened to my questions and requests. Lola’s also has a beautiful selection, while I never was there to purchase a dress, they are in my mind for the next time I need a black tie wedding guest dress! Really recommend! Especially to support small owned businesses.

10/10 would recommend if you’re looking to have a dress remastered or brought back to life!! I brought my mom’s wedding dress here to have it transformed into a special dress for my bridal shower and they delivered!! Such a special memory we will have forever. I first connected with Lola’s in June 2024 to rework my mom’s wedding dress, and I could not have asked for a better experience! From the very beginning, Melanie was such a joy to work with. I had the most amazing experience with Lola’s! They took my mom’s wedding dress from 33 years ago and completely transformed it into a short, elegant dress that I wore to my rehearsal dinner. From the very beginning, they made sure every detail was exactly what I wanted — they truly listened and cared about bringing my vision to life while honoring the original dress. Lola’s helped us find the most beautiful dress for our daughter’s sweet 16. She wanted a very specific dress and they delivered. The dress was delivered within 2 weeks. We took it home and didn’t realize it needed an alteration until a week before the party. When we went back with it, they took care of it right away. We can’t thank you enough Melanie and team! Her dress was absolutely perfect. We’ll see you next year for prom!

My sister and I both got our dresses here for our 8th grade formal dance a few years ago and we loved them! We returned to look for junior prom dresses and were kindly assisted by Melanie. She was extremely helpful, patient, and considerate in picking out multiple dresses for both of us, making sure we both found our perfect fit. The store has a variety of dresses to choose from with many styles, fabrics, and colors, and I really liked how each employee made sure they satisfied and took care of every girl looking for their own dress that matched them in the store. I wish I had read the reviews before we ordered FIVE dresses for our event, but I listened to everyone in my town and took my 3 kids to get their dresses there for my daughter's bat mitzvah. Joyce was wonderful to shop with, but as soon as they have your money Melanie (the owner's) mask comes off and she shows that she just doesn't care. 3 of the 5 pieces we ordered came in in about 6 weeks. I didn't get them because l was waiting for the bat mitzvah girl's reception dress. Fast forward another 5 months and several calls and emails and it never came in. I finally told her the last day I could make the trip down there and that if our dress wasn't in I was expecting my money back. Instead of just owning that something was messed up, she attempted to gaslight me. She brought out the same style dress in a MUCH smaller size that was fraying inside and had no tags and told me it was the Jovani had sent. When I pointed out there were no tags she actually said "Well they wouldn't send it with the tags." I held up the tags on our new dresses that were there and said "really? they did for these!" She would not even entertain the idea that this wasn't my daughter's dress until my daughter tried it on. So she made a 13 year old girl put on the wrong size of a dress that she had been so excited for, ruining the entire experience. My daughter didn't want to upset her or cause a scene so said she would try it on, even when I told her she didn't have to. Surprising no one, it didn't fit. Melanie then tried to gaslight us again by saying "Oh no! They must have sent the wrong size!" She offered to have it overnighted to my house "at no cost to you, of course!" I replied "How can they even do that when we've been waiting 5.5 months for the one they couldn't even send to you???" It was clear she had no intention of giving me back my money so I told my daughter to find a dress in the store she liked, because I wasn't leaving without my money or a dress. She found one she loved and even though it had clearly been being used as a sample and had loose beading, Melanie said "Well that's normally more expensive but I won't charge you the difference." I didn't want to make a scene so I just took the dress and we left. She was surprised we weren't having the alterations done there: after she lied to my face and tried to gaslight us multiple times AND after I had already told her I couldn't not make the hour trip to her store again. Needless to say, I will NOT be giving Lola's another dime and I certainly will not be returning for my other kids' parties!!

The customer service in this business is awful. When ordering the dress, I was told it would arrive in 6-10 weeks. At checkout, Melanie told me that there were, "no exchanges, no complaining, no crying." I knew in that moment I had made a mistake by purchasing this dress for my daughter. Why would anyone in customer service speak like that to someone who had just spent $450 in their store? I emailed after 10 weeks, and got no response to the email for over 48 hours. I emailed a second time and was told "it will arrive any day now". There wasn't even punctuation in the reply! There was absolutely no reason given as to why this dress had still not arrived. Miraculously, the following week the dress arrived. I was relieved that Melanie was not at the front desk when I picked up the dress. She is rude, condescending, unable to communicate and unprofessional. I will be sure to let everyone I know not to shop here!

I am not one to engage in writing a negative review however this is an exception and needs to be shared. After traveling over on hour and 1/2 for our appointment , we arrived to a very Chaotic & unprofessional scene. I tried to ignore the red flags for the sake of my daughter's optimism & excitement in hopes of finding her "perfect" Jr.Prom Dress . Fast forward to the day of picking up the dress , anticipating the big reveal when my daughter tried on the dress , it was not the original style dress she had tried on which we paid for in full at initial appointment. The owner Melanie was aware of the situation and deceitfully tried to get over on us Actually she ran into the back room and was hiding , until I asked for one of the staff to please go get the "owner " Melanie . No apologize , No explanation until I Had my daughter go back into the dressing room for the 3rd time to try on the dress once again , to prove it was not the original one she tried on and ordered . Melanie finally admitted that the company discontinued that style and this was the replacement dress . Needless to say we did not have the alterations done at Lola's and will not ever be returning or referring any Family or friends.

By a long shot, since Melanie purchased the store, Lola's is our go-to! We have purchased every special occasion dress there and we never leave without something extra. The staff are all welcoming and helpful, and Melanie is a superstar! We drive a distance to shop at Lola's but we wouldn't choose to go anywhere else! The best!

saw lolas on instagram and tiktok a few times and i noticed how pretty there dresses were and i wanted to book an appointment. i finally did last weekend and went today and i ended up falling in love with a prom dress. usually i get very self conscious going into dress stores because i am a little bigger but i didn't feel like that at this store. everyone who worked there was so nice and almost family like. i had Jeanine as my consultant and she was amazing! definitely recommend coming here if your looking for any type of dress

This is our third round of prom dress shopping and Lola's did NOT disappoint! Melanie is a pro and makes the process a breeze. Everyone on the staff is warm and friendly. Melanie relates well to the girls and seems to know exactly what to show them. I highly recommend Lola's and would for sure go there for any other gown needs hat may arise! I discovered Lola's on social media and I was instantly drawn to their great marketing/ photos! As I started exploring the website, I found so many cute things for my daughter. I originally bought one thing, and then started adding new items to my already made order. The new owner Melanie is SO amazing! She was so patient with me, I kept adding items and asked for more photos. She was so happy to help me. Beyond 5 star service! I received the package in the mail today. Each item was wrapped beautifully. Melanie surprised me with a couple special gifts and a hand written note. Lola's has a customer for life now. Disclaimer... I went back online tonight and ordered myself a top. I'm almost 50. It's not just for kids and teens! Please support this local business!!

i think ownership has changed Melanie and not for the better. We visited the store this weekend and sad to say it was pretty disappointing! She spoke to me in an unprofessional tone and her comments were uncalled for! She surely did not remember that we had already made a purchase 2 years ago and she was our sales person!

I called this place to inquire about dresses. The attitude I was met with just over the phone from the teeny bopper who answered, caused me to not even WASTE my time going to the store. Have since bought a dress for my daughter elsewhere where they know customer service 101. Fyi, you're in Manalapan not on Madison Ave...

Went there with my daughter for her 8th grade dance dress. This was my first time there and it will not be my last. The girl helping us was great. She was so patient. And she made my daughter feel like a princess.

My daughter wanted to go to this store because it was recommended by her friends. Upon arrival, we were greeted with helpful women who told my family ( there were a bunch of us ) to pick out many dresses. It was a great experience and also fun. The girls were attentive to my daughter, as well as looking on her phone to see if there was any dresses at her school that were taken. Being a first time prom mom I did not know what to expect, my daughter selected a dress, although not her size, the sales girls were able to clip it back to see how it would look. I paid for the dress, although it was pricey, it did not matter, my daughter looked beautiful. I asked a lot of questions about the dress, the sales girls kept me at ease, or so I thought. It was time for the fitting. We ( my daughter and I) couldn't wait to see the dress again. They called us in four - six weeks as the said. My daughter put on the dress, and I tried to zipper it up could not get the dress over her backside. I called one of the women over because my daughter although trying to hold it together, started to tear up. She finally got it up. Although she zipped it up if my daughter had sat or moved the zipper would have popped. She told us that sometimes since it is new that this can happen. Again, I believed what she had to say and we went on to the alterations. When we went to the alterations, they had to let it out 1 1/2 in on both sides of the dress because it was too tight. At this point, my daughter is upset and I am starting to get aggravated. In my opinion, the sales person who helped us ordered a dress that was too small for my daughter. How can you let a on both size an 1 1/2 on both sides? Straps needed to be altered because there was a gap in the back. Lesson learned: BUYER BEWARE bring your own tape measure if you want an accurate measurement. When we came back for our fitting, we could zip up the dress but it seemed that the straps were not altered still a gap in the back. Again, my daughter became very upset because this is her prom and it did not fit well. During this time NO ONE came up to us and asked us what the problem was. The seamstress fixed the gap and straps but there is a gap where you see the hook and eye. When I asked how we can fix this. They had no solution. We have no solution. Yet, we paid for alterations that clearly not up to our standards. I will never go back here.

The owner of lolas has been so kind and helpful. She is so supportive of all businesses and goes out of her way to help every single person! She answers Dms very fast and she makes such awesome tik toks! I highly recommend lolas for any shopping trip!!

The absolute best experience possible! The staff is extremely helpful and patient and the store is run like a well oiled machine. They have a great selection and offer services above and beyond. The new owner is amazing! We look forward to shopping at Lola's again.

I do not usually write reviews but I just had to write about the exceptional service that I have recently received at Lola's. In the recent months shopping has been a challenge for many. The welcoming and knowledgeable staff at Lola's make it such an enjoyable experience. The store has great new merchandise for my kids, myself and even my mother! The new owner brings a fresh and exciting vibe to the store while making all customers feel comfortable and the new set up to the store makes it so easy to shop! Bottom line, support small businesses and shop at Lola's!

Visited Lola's from Staten Island on the recommendation of a friend. We needed 2 dresses - for me and my 9 year old daughter. The store was crowded but we still managed to be welcomed & helped immediately. We were unsure of what we wanted & what looked good. The whole team, especially Pat helped both of us find many options until we both were thrilled with our selections. They said, "you don't know until you try." They gave us room to look around on our own & feel the dresses without hovering as many dress shops do. We found the prices right & a bigger selection for both women & young girls than most similar places. Lola, Bruce, Pat & the rest of the girls were great. A real pleasure to visit the store!

GO here if you want to be yelled at by a pushy, abrupt owner. My daughter and I were treated rudely, I believe because we walked in 1 hr prior to closing. The saleslady (owner) was rude , and right off the bat we felt like we were a bother. She was abrupt, rude, condescending and made my daughter feel bad for waiting so long to shop for Prom, by telling her "all the other kids have been shopping since December". After trying on 3 dresses and no luck, I asked if there was anything else she could try... She said "no" and "we're getting ready to close"... it was 5:30 at this point.. They Close at 6! She Clearly wanted to go home and had no interest in making a Sale. She couldn't even pretend to be compassionate or kind. The one dress my daughter loved, but was not her color, she abruptly said she couldnt get in time, but personally... I don't even think she tried.. if she was a good salesperson she would have said it's late on a Saturday, maybe Monday I can call or SOMETHING !!! Nope...she just wanted to be done. Asked if we took the red dress off the rack, if she could do something (it was very overpriced for chiffon and no beading). FLAT out :No!.. that's the price". We walked out and she was happy ! She could go home now. We went over to Azeria in the mall and were waited on hand and foot, the Owner there( her name is Pretty) got involved after the salesperson said we need to find a dress for prom in less than 6 weeks. No problem... she said we will find you something ! They were all kind, courteous and helpful. This is good customer service. We were NOT ridiculed for shopping late like we were by LOLA.

Isn't it special when the employees at a boutique are rude to you, rush through your time, are extremely pushy, openly disagree with you with what you want in a dress, and make rude comments about your price range to your child? You can experience such specialties at Lola's!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I cannot even begin to tell you what a nightmare this place is. I spent hundreds of dollars in this store buying 4 dresses and got aggravation. I purchased a dress for my daughter's bat mitzvah. Either they gave my dress to someone else or .. I actually have no idea what they did. They were supposed to take it in but when I tried it on it was huge! They took it out or something. the ruching that was the best part of the dress was gone. I insisted that they fixed it and they did...I don't know what but they cut the dress folded over the material and resowed it. It was unwearable. But the very worst is that Lola tried to tell me that they did nothing wrong, that the dress was fine and that we were not seeing what we were obviously seeing. She refused to look at the picture I had of how it looked when I purchased it. She was disgusting and unprofessional. And you know the very first time I went for my fitting I said this dress looks different and they said no no it's not. I made the mistake of leaving it in the store and I suspect that they sold my dress and this was a different dress altogether. I had to run out to the Macy's and buy a dress off the rack a week before my daughter's Bat mitzvah! And the crazy thing is that while this fiasco was going on another sales lady was trying to sell my mom a dress!!! What!!! Lola you should be ashamed of yourself and how you run your business. Lauren Goldner. Lola this is in response to your reply and I really hope you read it: 1. I suspect that you sold my original dress that I left at your store to someone else in between the time of purchase and my first fitting. 2. You know that I was not satisfied and the fact that you said that shows what kind of business you are. There was a huge argument in the store between my mom myself and you. You know full well that we were extremely upset and that the only reason we left is because you refused to speak with and acknowledge us anymore and would not do any more alterations. Your store did horrible workman's ship on the dress. When asked to fix it they butcherd it even more. Even your sales girl could not believe it. A good business would have acknowledge that there might have been a problem or a mistake and worked to fix it. You however tried to tell us nothing was wrong and then refused to even look at the horrific end result. You are unprofessional beyond the pale. And to now claim we were satisfied is one of the upsurd things about this. You are very lucky that my mom purchased the dress and has decided that she is not going to pursue this any further because you would not get that courtesy from me. I have the before and after pictures and the actual dress with it's shoddy work. You are a discrace to family owned business.

One of the many stops in search of the perfect prom dress for my niece. We went here last weekend. We were not greeted or acknowledged until we were ready to leave. On our way out a middle aged sales women asked us what we were looking for. My niece showed her a picture of the prom dress she wanted. The rude woman promptly said that they don't have anything like it and we would never find a dress like that. She then sarcastically said good luck. At this point they couldn't pay me to spend a dime there. Don't waste your time with this low budget place. Take the time to drive 30 seconds down route 9 to Castle Couture.

Got all my prom dresses here in high school. They carry great designers and the staff is absolutely amazing. They are all so sweet and make your dress fit perfectly. They carry hard to find Juicy Couture items and lots of cute stuff (even for those beyond their teen years) No complaints at all here! Just a great boutique.

BUYER BEWARE!!! They use the bait and switch on you when you purchase a dress that they do not want anymore. Picked out a dress for my daughters sweet 16 party.. Went back to order it and saw a different dress that supposedly just came in , she tried on the dress and fell in love... The sample was a size 4, we needed a size 2, was told it would be ordered.. That was first week of Aug, she waited 4 weeks to call me which was the 28th or around the end of Sept. Picked up dress and took it to my dress maker. My dress maker told me that you did not get a new dress, she gave you the size 4 dress, she switched out the labels first of all then she altered the dress to be a size 2 without my daughter even trying it all on.. So when I got it it was all screwed up at the waist did not fit right. We confronted her in person and she said that happens some time . She told us this dress just came in , she purposely committed fraud. She had every intention not to order the dress. She told us she would take it back , sure the week before the party, would not even give us a discount on the already used dress and pay for the extremely expensive alterations I had to pay to fix her mess. If she had ordered the dress that I paid for we would need know alterations at all. She was rude and had no feeling about what she did at all. I did call the BBB on her as well.. Believe me girls, she is doing it to everyone, just beware... Stay clear the owner herself did this mess, Treats her clients as a one time deal.. Only out for the money does not really care about the havoc she creates once she gets her money... Stay away.

Can I give this no stars????? Unbelievable despicable customer service. Came in to buy a communion veil for my daughter at $$$$$ and also to try on dresses myself. Well I was basically told I could not have my daughters dress in the store with us bc it was purchased from another store. Well that was a very poor business decision bc not only did they lose my potential business today, but also my future business as well as anyone who I can share this story with. Are they kidding?? So if I'm at the mall and purchase a dress in Nordstrom, is Macy's going to throw me out for going In to purchase matching shoes!!??? Please...if you can avoid it...save your blood pressure and give your money to kinder people.

Full-service store with great staff and smiles all around--most especially on my two daughters who have been driving me crazy finding dresses for their upcoming bat mitzvah. We found what we were looking for and the sales women could not have been nicer. Pinned for alterations on the spot (despite being pretty busy) and they will have their dresses on time. I would say I couldn't ask for more but, indeed, I did get more! Saleswoman helped me find a dress for myself and I could not be happier.

My daughter and I walked into the store with the hopes of finding a dress for my daughter's Sweet 16. This was our 2nd time here and although I don't care for their selection, the store seems to be a hit with all the teens in the area, so I accomodated my daughter's request to go back. It's beyond tiny and the selections are very few. The visit started off great with one of the sales representatives. She did her best to try and find my daughter a dress but my daughter had already seen a dress online that she really liked and we wanted to see if Lola's could order it. The rep. went to the back to retrieve the price and shipping information but we were then given the information by an older women with glasses, whom I am assuming was the owner. She gave me a price which was much higher than we had seen online, no greeting and she was very abrupt, I was taken back as this was not a cheap dress and would have thought she would have been more pleasant to get my business. I had mentioned that I needed to confirm with someone else as the dress was their gift to my daughter and also that I had found it a little less elsewhere. She then proceeded to tell me with an attiude "well then you should go back there and get it because our price is the best price"! Really, that is how you speak to a potential customer! Even the sales rep. was taken back. I was in shock and at a loss for words. My daughter was so excited to go to the store and this nasty women just put a damper on everything. Then in a sarcastic manner, she said good luck when I said I needed to step out to make a call because that is the only way I could not stoop to her level in front of my daugher. In the end, I actually purchased the dressed elsewhere for much cheaper! Better customer service and free alterations!! I would never recommend this store when you have a ton of additional options nearby. They are overpriced and the selections suck, it is all hype. Right next door is Castle Couture where I purchased my dress the same day without any issues. Further down is Diane & Co., both much better stores. Save yourself the time and trip, Lola's is not worth it.

I walked in this place with the hopes of finding a dress for my engagement party. I was greeted by an older woman with glasses who appeared to be the owner. After less than ten minutes of searching i could not find anything because this place is the size of a shoe box. I told her that I was sorry but there was nothing here for me and thanked her for her time. She responded " Good luck finding something" in a nasty tone. Needless to say i walked next door to castle couture and found the dress of my dreams for a great price. Don't waste your time here!!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Don't waste your time. Went here in hopes of finding the perfect prom dress. When we walked in, the place was cluttered and the workers were very unwelcoming. Looking through the dresses, they had an awful selection. When I tried to explain the style that I wanted, the girl was rude and barely payed any interest. Instead of trying to help, she bashed on us to the other people we came with and ignored our presence until the end when we were almost about to leave. How extremely unprofessional. But then, wondered why we didn't walk out with a dress. I find it appalling how this place has been open for so long with the terrible service. If you want to feel criticized, judged and basically have an overall frustrating dress shopping experience, come to Lola's.

Having lived in the area for many years, Lola's has always been my favorite store for me and my kids. The staff is so helpful and they really know their merchandise. I recently shopped their for my daughters sweet 16 dress and I must say this is by far the best selection of dresses I have seen from any other stores I have visited. Whatever dress you want, whatever color you need they will get it for you!! I feels good giving my business to my neighborhood store because they actually care about their customers! They aren't like other stores where they just tell you it looks good so you make a purchase. They actually will tell you the TRUTH and not let you walk out with something that doesn't look good. I am a longtime customer at Lola's, the selection is abundant. I always leave there completely satisfied. The staff is outstanding and knows how to help me put together the best outfits. Always up to date with the latest in fashion. Thank you Lola's for making your store an enjoyable experience

This was the worst of the worst. I purchased my granddaughter's communion dress and veil. At the time of the purchase everything was great. The dress was ordered a size larger, so I knew it needed alterations. However when I received a call the dress was in, the nightmare began. At no time of the purchase was I told no weekend alterations. We live in Staten Island. I spoke with Karen to set up the appointment and she was very nasty when she said no weekends. So she said it had to be that Saturday between 10 and 11am . My granddaughter was not home to take her. I went to the store to pick up the dress where I was meet by Lola's husband. He wasnt all that helpful either. When the dress was brought out to me I asked where the veil was. Lola herself went to look for it and said it wasnt in. Why then bother to call me when the complete order did not arrive. She was horrible. Never even looked at me or cared. She ddin't want to deal with me any further so she refunded the money for the veil. I do not believe they should be in the business of dealing with children. I was able to find the same veil at Nordstrom cheaper. They seem not to care about disappointing little girls. I believe they are only interested in the sale. Real Horrible People. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND LOLA'S. March9,2013

LOVE THIS PLACE! Best service in the area and fantastic selection. Bought my daughter's sweet 16, junior prom and now SENIOR PROM dress here. The salespeople were great with my daughter and made her feel so comfortable. Had to order 2 of the dresses and NEVER had any issues-everything went perfectly! (Wish they carried shoes!) Great every day stuff too....different than usual dpt store drab. Can't go wrong here...LOVE this this place!

Every time I walk into Lola's, I always come out smiling. Before my vacation, I had nothing to wear so decided to drive over to Lola's to get some fresh new items for vacation. I was set for the whole week. I found beautiful clothes, from cover ups, to day time, to evening dresses. I was beyond happy. The salesperson even offered to wrap it up so perfectly that I can just put it in my suitcase without any wrinkles. When I returned home and saw my mom struggling to find clothes to pack.. I said MOM we are going to LOLAs.. and so we went... she found really awesome tops and leggings!! LOLA's is a great store. Every salesperson was attentive to me and my mother and both of us were VERY happy campers! As always!

Lola and her staff are knowledgable - they know how to make the most of your assets - with fabulous clothing in a range of price points. BUYER BEWARE#2!!! Went to Lola's to buy my daughter's prom dress. My sister and I had always loved to buy her clothes there when she was young and they only sold kids clothes. We went to my sisters to look for dresses because we wanted to get something everyone else did not have. When we passed Lola's and I saw that they sold prom gowns now we definelty went in to take a look. My daughter found what she wanted which was a designer dress and they told us they had one in the back that was fresh and new and they were sending it back. Which now makes us very suspicious. The one my daughter tried on was perfect. When we got the dress home and unpacked (stupid of us not to inspect it while we were there). It was very wrinkled and so many of the beads were hanging off by threads. I took it to my seamstress (who is excellent and reliable and I have used her for years) and was shocked when she asked me if this was a used or sample dress. Well of course we were aware we had to have it hemmed everything else was perfect until we than saw all the beads hanging off. I am sure this dress was being sent back because another customer would not take it and she saw us coming. My sister called the owner because she is the ont that solld us the dress it bothered her so much and she tried to say my seamstress was to blame, that she just wanted to charge you more. They did offer for us to send the dress back and they would fix the beads but I called my seamstress and she was already working on it and there never would have been time to send it back and fouth and than have it ready on time. I am very dissapointed that they would not admit to this intentional mistake. I was just upset that people would operate like this and did not ask for more than there acknowledgement to the mistake. Should have suspected this and checked the dress before leaving but live and learn. Another thing they said they had the best prices around and we checked several other places although it was only $5.00 everyone was $5.00 less. Just would not want anyone else to have this bad experience.

I wrote a vague review on January 6th to which Lola had written a rebuttal asking for specifics as she challenged my review - yesterday's dresses at tomorrow's prices. I went into Lola's in November 2014 and had looked at a Sherri Hill dress Style #32045. This dress is a dark emerald green dress from the Fall 2014 collection. I recently had gone (Mid December 2015) in with my daughter looking for a spring dress for an upcoming event. I asked the sales person if they had any of the Spring 2016 dresses in. To which she replied, "all of our dresses can be worn all year round, the one you are looking at - is a great dress." Last year's holiday dress was at full price and they were willing to sell it to me for full price for Spring of 2016 wear. Lola and her staff need to notify the fashion industry to this new year round/all years/all season phenomena. Buyer beware - lots of merchandise from yesterday's leftovers.
