"You can't visit this part of the world without tasting some local cheese, and Loleta Cheese Factory is a designated stop on the California Cheese Trail. (Yes, the Cheese Trail is a real thing!) At this small shop you can sample over 30 varieties, and if cheese is being made on your visit (they don't do it every day, sadly), you can watch the process through a large glass window at the back of the store. There is also a grilled-cheese bar, Queso Kings (named for one of Loleta's lines of cheese), out back. It sells sweet and savory grilled-cheese combos and boasts an espresso bar for those who need some caffeine with their casein. There's seating inside, though most people picnic in the garden. There's even a scavenger hunt for the kids."
Most delicious cheeses you can possibly purchase, or sample! This place is incredible. The cheese is all unique, made there, and some of the most delicious you’ll ever taste. There’s also a grilled cheese bar (that serves more than grilled cheese) accompanied by a beautiful garden you can eat your sandwich in. It’s a spacious and refreshing environment with cheese to die for!

Awesome cheeses here. The variety is becoming overwhelming, and there are samples of all to help you find your favorite. Beautiful gardens outside, amazing spot to start from to wander around Loleta and see the town. Indoor and outdoor seating for the Queso Kings grilled cheese bar. Guy Fieri reviewed this place and it lives up yo the hype. Their curds are amazing and any if the smoked cheeses are my FAVEs. Well worth a visit for any cheese fanatics! As an Urban Ex fiend I also really appreciate the crazy huge brick factory across the way, some really cool architecture all around this place

We love cheese and this place was a hidden gem! There is an out-of-this-world garden out back with picnic tables where you can enjoy yourself. Inside, we got to see the cheese being made and they shared more about the process. We got to sample several cheeses and then bought 5 kinds to take with us plus a local jam. Everything tasted amazing and was very reasonably priced. We followed a billboard from the 101 North and then went about a mile or 2 into Loleta to get there, and it was totally worth it. While driving, we thought we were on the wrong track, turns out it's just a small town with a tiny cheese factory that you could totally pass by if you didn't know it was there.
We also had incredible grilled cheese sandwiches from Queso Kings inside. The "Hot as Hell" was totally on point and I think it was called the "Hombolt Blues" (the one with the blueberry compote, cinnamon and sugar). Wow! Highly recommend!

It was so quaint, very friendly. Queso Kings is a small restaurant inside that gives you a great experience of what cheeses this factory has to offer. Or you can buy any cheeses you'd like at their counter. They have a beautiful garden out back to eat your lunch or just to admire. I'd come back any time I'm rolling down 101. Bob, who I presume is the owner, was so gracious and welcoming. Great place!
