Lolina Vintage Café

Lolina is perfect for breakfast. Simple but perfect combos. Two rooms with a super relaxed atmosphere and good music. Five-star service.

I was having a wonderful experience with a sandwich and a cocktail. I ordered a slice of cake at the end and ate nearly the entire thing until I unfortunately noticed mold covering the back of the piece. Concerning it was served. If you still choose to come here, maybe just don’t get the cake.

The interior was super cute and the staff were absolutely lovely. There were plenty of great options too, though the prices were a bit on the steep side. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience.

Cute cafe with yummy coffee and desserts!! Highly recommend their chocolate tart (not too sweet) best paired with a cappuccino/chai latte. Last time I was here, I also tried their espresso martini which was great too ❤️

This place offers the best chai latte in Madrid. If you’re a chai latte addict, I really recommend it. You should also give a try at their goat cheese toast! Very cozy place and intimate , good to spend time with friends or for a date. One of my favorite place in Malasaña

To be honest, the food has a good price so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. The cocktails were good and the size was good as well. However, the space is lightly crammed and what I really did not align with was the service. I understand needing the space for incoming customers but there are ways to say things more politely and our experience here did not reflect that.

I went there for working, I searched for places laptop friendly and when I took out my laptop for starting working the waitress told me they don’t let during the weekend. On the website they don’t specify about this and she seemed annoyed.

Very nice surprise to find this hidden little gem of a coffee place on that doubles down as a… cocktail bar. Original concept in a cute little store that you would miss 99% of the time if you don’t pay attention. We tried the cocktails and they were 🔥🔥🔥 The staff is very friendly and capable, definitely going back soon.

Cute lil café! I visited at 7:30 on a Friday night. They weren't too busy in comparison to a lot of places in the area. The vibe is cozy and cute. They placed a lot of old 80s pop music. The service was attentive (for Spanish standards). What I ordered: they had a couple of drink + dessert options for 10€ so I got a mojito and carrot cake. The carrot cake was so yummy! Not the best ever, and I wish there was a little more icing, but still really good! The mojito was great, but there was sooooo much ice. I really didn't feel like I got much of an actual drink. There are plenty of classic cocktail options! The prices are average I would say. They had a couple of small savory options. My friend got some smoked salmon toast which she said was good! This is a great place to have a fairly quiet drink with a friend! I know they also have breakfast so I will be back to try it sometime!

I stumbled upon this super cute cafe when I was in search of anything but tapas around 11 AM after sleeping in a bit too late. This place is decorated adorably and feels like a friend's (or your grandma's) living room with a plethora of cozy chairs. I had a breakfast combination which I believe came with espresso, fresh OJ, toast, and a croissant. Most of it was delightful, but the only off-putting thing was the cold croissant which I was not anticipating. Regardless, the meal was dirt cheap and the staff was so friendly and welcoming.

This trendy cafe will certainly take you back in time while feeling relaxed and comfortable. I studied in Madrid for 4 months and here is one of my favs to knock off some school work, plan weekend getaways, or on the rare occasion, simply sip tea and enjoy reading a book. They have great WiFi, solid drinks and I believe food options as well. It is a very pleasant place to sit back and just be present. Plus it feels very trendy. Go see for yourself!

Walking through its door is just like travelling in time : Welcome to your house in the past, here is Lolina... Every space has a soul and it is the immorality that Lolina represents within the scope of itself. No doubt that you will be taken by the colorful 70s themed low-key cosy atmoshpere with old-style chairs and sofas, gilded mirrors. The velvet comfy couch on the left is situated in an ideal spot for you to observe all the details of the cafe. Just sink into it and relax. Lolina is the ideal spot to read your book, taste the best cheesecake, to take. But there are more. Breakfasts, meals, snacks, dinner and even dance. Yes, downstairs you can celebrate 60s and 70s parties. The cafe has WIFI and you are allowed to take your dog as well.

Good prices, good coffee. One of the few places where I have found both Good Soy and Almond milk. Free fast Wifi and a cool spot for the hot summer days. If you stay till later cocktails are good, average price 6-8euros.

Cafe Lolina is a little vintage cafe on my favourite street in Madrid. It's super charming and has tasty food and drinks. Go downstairs and you'll find a cozy 60s style living room to take your coffee and read the paper, chat with friends, or play on the internet (free WiFi!).

Great mojitos! One of the best brownies in town. Had the vino caliente as well.

Last night I was looking for a late night coffeehouse (it was almost midnight) and here it showed me a few good options of places open till 1 or 2am. "Perfect!"- I thought, and I went over to one place: they gently told me they were actually closing in five minutes, I understood them and went away. Lolina is open until 2am but the guys there told me only on Friday's and Saturday's; so I tried to tell them that I looked on Yelp (which they advertised on their window) and that their hours were wrong and they brazenly said:-"No, no, it's correct, we know." Well, guys, check your hours again because it clearly says here that you're open till 2am every god-damned night. I'm putting two stars instead of one because I'm sure you have good quality and the place looks great, but you need to listen to your customers instead of lounging around the couches. I wish you luck for the future.

Cute decor and good site to have a tea and coffee with friends. Didn't get a change to try their food but the brownies looked scrumptious.

Lolina does live up to it's description "vintage cafe." The vintage furniture - a mixture of old chairs and what almost seems like garden furniture really helps give it that edge. On a Saturday afternoon it was packed, but four of us were lucky to find a spot to sit. The "organization" is very relaxed -- I'm still not sure if we were supposed to go to the bar and order or wait for someone to take our order. But that's part of the beauty of Lolina. You almost feel like you're sitting in someone's living room or patio. The four of us all tried the different fruit smoothies and were very much satisfied for 4 euros each. There was a couple next to us who had ordered salads which looked very delicious -- in fact they were polished off in no time! The area in which Lolina is situatied is very much alternative/funky/cool -- and this is also probably why Lolina fits in so well. Definitely a place to keep in mind if you're in Malasana and looking for a chill place for something to eat or snack on.

I took my friend to Lolina Vintage Café after recognizing it from Yelp while wandering around trying to find La Bicicleta. It is a fantastic spot to sit in a cozy retro armchair and people watch while sipping on some coffee and nibbling on their treats. My friend got one of their tostas, and she liked it. What really caught my eye was the salads the table next to us were having--they looked delicious. This café has a warm atmosphere, definitely a must see if you're in the area.

Cute little cafe! The menu had a lot of options between coffee, smoothies and milkshakes. The place has a great vibe on the inside with its decor and music. The street it's on looks funky and maybe sketchy with the graffiti but that's just how the area of Madrid is. El Sol metro stop isn't too far of a walk. You can actually pass a lot of shops, bakeries and delis along the way. Good spot to meet with a friend or take your laptop for a few hours.

I don't normally write reviews, but because of the lack of Yelping going on in Madrid, I'm going to start contributing. I've come to Lolina now three times. I'm here studying a masters in law, and it's a great spot to get out of the heat and get some work done. The secret to beating the heat is using the downstairs lounge, which no one seems to be aware of. I've had the whole room to myself for hours each day, and it's a perfect place to get some sweat-free work done. As for the food and coffee: so far I've tried the frankfurter especial, some of the zumas (fruit smoothies), the cafe con leche, and the carajillo ("courage," cafe with rum I think). All have been great, although the Spanish idea of a hotdog is a little different than in the states. Be prepared for a standard, probably not all-beef, hot dog, but with extremely delicious, sweet and rich toppings. You have to eat it with a knife and fork. The prices are typical for Madrid, not cheap, but not overly expensive. Today I'm going to try one of their tostas (a sort of half of a sandwich, with an open face). The service: I actually think the service is quite good. I have not felt any of the "not part of the crew" attitude mentioned by a recent review. As is the case all over Spain, service is generally slow and relaxed. But the baristas have been the same each day, are very friendly with me, and even speak good english when I need it. Just don't expect to order and get your food (or sometimes the coffee) right away. Have some patience, and if you're in a hurry, don't go to Spain, haha. An interesting range of people come into this cafe. I've met other Americans, lots of Brits, French, Scandinavians, and of course lots of Spaniards.

Cute little café. The stuff is mostly friendly but sometimes they make you feel that you're not part of the crew. The food is quite good and Lolina is a nice change for Madrid.

I really like this place! I've tried both the francés & especial hot dogs! Both delicious! I think i've only gone there for the hot dogs!! I haven't tried anything else on the menu! I have also tried the juices! They are great, but maybe a bit pricey? If you want to splurge, go for it! The juices are delicious, but nothing life-changing! So keep that in mind before spending 4 euro on a juice!

The staff has no barista education. The coffee does not taste good and they don't really care in doing it better. The place itself looks nice but what does it help if the most important thing of a café sucks? Instead go to a place like TOMA CAFÉ if you want a decent cup.

Quiet, quaint and quirky coffee shop in the heart of Malasaña. It's quieter than most the other hipster coffee stops in Malasaña which I appreciate. Staff is super friendly, coffee is great and the Internet is super fast.

Such a cool vintage style cafe with drinks, salads and coffee. Come here and lounge to start your day. Feels like something you might find in San Francisco with its unique style and chilled ambience.

Been living in Madrid for a year and this was a great find. Great little Cali style funky cafe with yummy salads, pastries, and beer (or coffee). All at a good price.

The location is great. Espiritu Santo is a wonderful calle with many bars cafés and eateries besides. Lolina has a special vibe too - not one matching table or chair, very colorful, and always full of music that's stood the test of time. They call it the vintage café and not without reason. The place is full of quirky old lamps and wallpaper and barstools and more. It's a singular café and as such it's never wanting in clientele. In fact, sometimes it's a challenge to find a seat. At night the place gets even more livelier and they start shelling out their locally famous mojitos for 5 or 6 euros and people pile in and head downstairs as well. I'd say it's one of the pillars of Malasaña's character, so that means you'd better check it out.

Come here if you want to feel completely out of the time, as if you'd been transported instantly to the 60s or 70s. Sometimes it is hard to find a seat, you have to be lucky but if you are, do try the homemade cheesecake, and the mojitosmaybe not at the same time, but hey you're in Spain, let's be free !

It seems that Lolina (along with Nest Boutique) is the symbol of Madrid's hypest and most international neighborhood, Malasaña. Not the most typical Spanish place yet the decor is lovely and you can eat and drink for a decent price (again, dirty cutre Spanish bars are cheaper and both types of places are great, but it all depends on where you feel like spending the night). Do not miss out their fabulous Mojitos!!
