The Best Restaurants and Bars in Santiago, Chile

"Opened last year by Nicolas Yankovic and Alexandra Inunza after their time in New York, Lolita Jones is a trendy Mexican bar-taqueria where I enjoyed dishes like carnitas, octopus, and marinated ribeye, a margarita happy hour, tableside-prepared guacamole, and generally strong service." - Dan Q. Lolita is a stunning and vibrant restaurant that masterfully blends modern elegance with a warm, lively atmosphere. The lush décor, leafy green accents, and soft lighting create a tropical yet sophisticated vibe. The menu features flavorful dishes like ceviche tostadas and expertly crafted tacos, each plated beautifully and bursting with freshness. The cocktail list is equally impressive—creative, balanced, and artfully presented. Service is top-notch, with General Manager Amanda ensuring every detail is perfect. Lolita delivers an unforgettable dining and cocktail experience that truly stands out.

My boyfriend and I went to Lolita today and it was amazing! We were greeted right off the bat by a kind server! We ordered from their happy hour menu that included three different cocktails (including a margarita) which were great! The Daiquiri was super strong and very good! Margarita was perfect and very refreshing! We ordered all three different tacos besides the cod (I personally don’t love cod) but I think the Birria tacos were our favorite! The Al pastor and beef was also great, as a tie for second! I also recommend having the guacamole!! We did end up having two to three different servers and had a hard time knowing who to ask when ordering more. But overall, we liked both servers and Richard was great!! Make sure you ask for him if he is working! He was very attentive and polite!! We will definitely be back for another happy hour!!

Google
The restaurant had really great decor, super friendly staff, and delicious food. Guacamole is great, and so is the salsa (I wish there was more to accompany the nachos). Fish tacos are good - the cod is fried in corn flour. I really appreciate the fact that the restaurant was able to accommodate my daughter's request for just poached eggs! Here is what she thinks: The atmosphere was amazing, I really enjoyed the vibe, and the food was delicious! The egg was extordanry, yolk dripping out of the egg when you cut it, and everything was great!

Google
Everything was great, the air was nice and cool, and the atmosphere was AMAZING. I loved the vibe, the light was dim, but still seeable. The tiles were beautiful, and there was a large wine collection on the wall. Everything was really aesthetic, and relaxing. The food was delicious, and don't even get me started on the poached egg- It was so good, the yolk was flowing out of the egg when you cut it perfectly, the food was a true masterpiece, not even the nachos had an imperfection. I just wish there was more salsa, because it was so good. The people were also really nice, and the service was amazing. I loved it here, I definitely recommend this place. 10/10.

Google
We stumbled upon Lolita completely by accident while bar hopping in Manhattan, and what a great surprise it was! The atmosphere is wonderful, the interior is beautiful, and the drinks were really good. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be coming back!

Mimi C.

Google
Walked pass this spot and loved the décor, so my friend and I decided to stop in for some drinks. I had the Lolita Margarita! at first I thought it wasn’t that strong, but it definitely kicked in and I really liked it. My friends tried a couple of frozen drinks and both were great too. The vibe is stylish and fun. Definitely coming back to try the food next time!

Google
Cute spot with a charming upstairs ambiance. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, though it seemed like she was still learning the menu and had to check on a few things. The guacamole and oysters were really good—fresh and flavorful. The tacos, however, were a bit of a letdown and lacked seasoning. Overall, a decent experience with potential if they fine-tune a few things.

Google
We went for after dinner drinks and loved it! Stayed longer than expected because the drinks were good and bartender was very friendly. Will definitely come back. Drinks: We got the Straw Hat and Las Mineras cocktails to start. The bartender made great recommendations for our next few rounds: Golden Hues, Painkillers (This), and Oaxaca Old Fashioned. Food: Couldn’t resist ordering the guacamole appetizer at some point. The portion looked small but it was actually very filling, and insanely delicious! Would go back just for the guac. Atmosphere: On a Saturday night ~9:30pm there were still plenty of seats at the bar. The place is spacious and upscale-feeling so great ambiance and mood. Seats at the bar were very comfy.

Yelp
My sister and I sat upstairs at the bar -- we were there for a quick happy hour and bites before a 7pm show. This is owned by the same folks who own Valerie (next door) and Madame George (two doors down). The layout/vibe is the same and if you like the cocktails in one, you'll like the cocktails in all :) The cocktails were SO interesting, i really couldn't decide which one to get but ended up deciding on "Las Mineras" - it was like a smoky (from the mezcal) salty corn water. Amazing. It had: mal bien white tape mezcal, fino sherry, elote liqueur, clarified enchilada water Then we shared chips and guac, ahi tuna tostadas, and the suadero (brisket) tacos. Everything was fantastic. Service was great. Beautiful decor!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch during a visit. Ambience 10/10 its beautiful, plush, vibrant. So cute. Drinks were good, food just okay. Chicken flautas 3/5 (no cheese, crema on side, due to friends dairy intolerance)- nice crunch, good amount of filling. Lacked flavor. Birria tacos 3.5 lacked flavor, I'm missing the boldness of the peppers/ spice. The consumne was just like a light generic beef broth. Cooked well and good amount of filling, they don't skimp on meat. Rice & beans - 2/5- rice or nice and fluffy + enjoyed the addition of corn. But overall lacked flavor. Brisket burrito -4.5 Drinks - like that they make syrups in house Lolita marg -5/5 don't let the carcao fool you its not the blue syrupy stuff You get in bars. Lolita salt rim is sooo good and brings it together and made it a five star rating. Paloma- 3/5 Ky/Kai provided great service. Very knowledgeable of the menu, helpful with suggestions and accommodating options that didn't include dairy. Recommend stopping for a happy hour if That's a thing. Food is not worth paying full price which is really tough to say because they service, ambiance/music made me want to love it so bad. Personally I'd only return for drinks and maybe chips/dip.

Yelp
I went to Lolita with a few coworkers during a work trip. It was surprisingly crowded and loud for a Tuesday evening, but we were ushered to our table fairly quickly. Our server was fast to the table and service was reasonable. The menu is actually more limited than I expected for a Mexican restaurant and I felt the restaurant was more drink forward than a traditional restaurant. One key note is that a significant portion of the menu that I had expected to be gluten free (as one team member was GF) is not gluten free because of the potential of cross contamination. While I should have checked ahead of time - while I had looked for mexican as it's typically safer, this restaurant offers little on the menu that is. Our food was generally fine, but should I have the opportunity to come back, I likely would look for a different restaurant.

Yelp
Not bad, not great. I made a reservation for my best friend's birthday for Sunday brunch, and it felt like they were rushing us the whole time. The restaurant was pretty empty, no reason for rushing customers. The drinks were OK, nothing special. They definitely needed more alcohol. The food was good. Sometimes less is better. Coming to the table every 5 minutes felt like they wanted us out of there. Beautiful decoration !

Yelp
Decided to try this place for dinner after a show. It's definitely a nice place but also very busy due to location, recommend to make reservations. Bar area is first come first served. Decided to try the ceviche tostada and ordered a side of plantains. The portion of the tostada was good for an appetizer and the sweet plantains portions was good and you can share. Both were good. To drink I ordered the This or That pina colada so it comes with 2 drinks to taste (original and a modern take) which was really good and loved both. They also have brunch in the weekend and music. Definitely will come back to try more of their menu.

Yelp
Came here during the week night. My friend suggested to meet at this place. It's an upscale trendy Mexican restaurant. Sat at the bar, got a couple cocktails, golden hue ($19) and spicy margarita ($19), very tasty. Started off with guacamole which was solid ($18). And for the main, got taco Al pastor ($22), which came in 3. Pretty pricey but it's NYC so yea.. still tasty. I would recommend this place for a nice date spot.
google avatar

Tracy D.

Yelp
Such a pretty interior. Was afraid the food was too fancy for our teens. But they liked the food. We made reservations but it wasn't too busy for an early Sunday dinner after the theater. We had asada and pollo tacos, Corn esquites, guacamole and chips. The Corn esquites was my ultimate favorite. Server was friendly. We were in a hurry and service was quick so we were in an out of there in an hour.

Yelp
Johanni was amazing! She tended bar upstairs and she was engaging and her drinks were amazing! We loved her and thank her so much for the extra treat for my birthday as well! Great job! Highly recommend for a fun time, great vibes and great food and drinks!
google avatar

Mary L.

Yelp
The service was pretty quick. It was so so for happy hour. The drinks weren't anything to write home about. It was definitely loud and we had to scream at each other to hear.
google avatar

Yelp
Parked ourselves there after got turned away from madame george without resy on a Thursday night, it was bustling and hustling after work crowds, we managed to squeeze ourselves in the jammed bar area, as you could probably tell but its name, it's a mexican theme w food and drinks, the decors are swanky modern, tall ceiling and beautiful backdrop of the bar. Drink choices are exotic and inventive, i had my eyes on a tamarind drink, and mind you, it came w a tamarind stick and it was very satisfying! my friend ordered a dual pina colada, supposingly 1 made traditional way and the other modern way, i had a sip of each and we both like the traditional way, but i have to say the alcohol content in the drink is bare minimum, also ordered some guac and tacos, overall very small portion w not-so-happy-hour price tags. believe they also have happy hour but it's weird late hours. It was very loud, tapers down once the crowd starts dissipated towards evening. Given there are so many choices nearby, I may not want to go back very soon.

Yelp
Decent dinner here. Took my mom with me. First time eating here. Space is nice and lots of seating available. Menu was small but had a little of everything. Little over priced imo. Drink was average. Staff could improve with being nicer. I called the server over to ask a question and they seemed very annoyed - although the restaurant was empty at 4PM. Overall decent meal - but I'd go elsewhere where next time for a more welcoming environment

Yelp
Lolita is from the same team behind Verlaine and Madame George. We stopped in for HH and tried the $12 margaritas. They're more sweet than strong, nothing special. We ordered the guac and salsa to share. I have to say, the avocado was really fresh but it was bland... and the salsa was mild but good. I went with the birria tacos, which were just OK. Honestly, $17 for two tacos felt overpriced for what it was. The service was really slow, even though it wasn't busy at all. Would I come back? Probably not. Nothing really wowed me.
google avatar

Pam W.

Yelp
Adorned with a modern touch of furnishings, plenty of faux plants line the interior creating a welcoming atmosphere. Getting to this place was tough only because the street and surround areas were closed off for a parade. Upon walking in, a live band was playing for the festivities happening today. Our purpose for visiting was to see a pop-up cocktail bar and luckily the drinks delivered. Cocktails were reasonably priced for brunch and with a fair amount of craftsmanship. Although the wait between for taking our order, receiving our drinks, and the single appetizer ordered left much to be desired. What was meant to be a relatively short stopover before our next spot ended up being a longer affair. Upon finishing most of our cocktails, we hoped to cancel the appetizer that had yet to arrive but were told it'd be coming out shortly. Unfortunately, the timing of the long forgotten appetizer made it difficult to enjoy as we were hoping to leave. A relatively average experience but if you're not in a rush, could be worth visiting.

Esme H.

Yelp
My husband's all time favorite shrimp Cesar salad found here! The Tropical IPA was amazing, I hope they keep it on the menu. Staff was friendly, the Cod tacos would have been better if they had more cilantro but they left a bland impression all round.
google avatar

Hunter S.

Yelp
Again, had to make a choice after a Broadway show. This time was a bit more of a letdown. Service not as personal (and I get it, it was about an hour before closing). I had the steak, which I ordered medium. It was closer to rare, but that's okay. There was no sear of seasoning, so that was a bummer. The mushroom quesadilla was a little better. Still not a ton of seasoning, but it was hot and melted well. I had these two dishes and one drink and it was over 100 dollars. Not unexpected in this part of town, but without the excellent service, it was pretty mid this time around.
google avatar

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at Lolita. First of all, this restaurant is visually pleasing. Once you step outside, you'll notice the Empire State Building - not bad at all. Check them out during happy hour. Lolita's happy hour menu includes $7 beers, $12 cocktails, and $9 wines. I highly recommend having the guacamole - spicy, if you can. It is served with tortilla chips, and the guacamole is prepared right in front of you. One of the greatest guacamole I've tried... They offer a nice variety of excellent cocktails. The margaritas were fantastic! I had the tacos al pastor, which were delicious, sweet, and savory, but there were only two. I wish I'd had more. I'd recommend the quesadillas, which were enormous and equally as delicious.
google avatar

Ginger A.

Yelp
Beautiful classy Mexican restaurant near us in NYC! They accommodated us without reservation, such a wonderful place to eat and relax! We enjoyed some happy hour drinks, Lolita Margarita's with our meals! Everything we ate was fabulous!! Our waitress was exceptional, recently moved from Florida and was so friendly! The Vegan tacos and the Camarones were one of our favorite meals in NYC!
google avatar

Maulik M.

Yelp
Amazing Mexican spot on 5th ave, with a beautiful interior, delicious food. Service was top notch from the Hostess to the very knowledgeable server. Would definitely come back for more food. We tried their queso covered in mole sauce and empanadas. They did a great job with attention to detail in their food, drink and decor. Even their menus are beautiful. But I was truly impressed with their cocktails! I tried several, especially the spicy ones, and each was an experience. The mixologists here know what they're doing. If you're a cocktail lover or just looking for a unique drink experience, Lolita has you covered!
google avatar

Lindsey R.

Yelp
Jade is hands down the most polite, efficient and amazing perfectionist bartender/mixologist. The Michelada and Paloma are my fav. The tropical Negroni is next level flavor profile is delicious. The bar is the vibe/spot to be.
google avatar

Nadia C.

Yelp
EXCEPTIONAL! wow. this was such a fantastic spot. the interior is very alluring: and the food is such great quality and so fresh. their happy hour selection is a great deal. their birria tacos and empanada were a hit. can't wait to come back and try other options!
google avatar

Jesse C.

Yelp
Lolita is absolutely worth it--especially for happy hour. The margarita might seem simple, but it's honestly one of the best I've ever had. The guacamole comes out fresh and generous in size, and their house-made salsa is incredible, easily some of the best I've tried anywhere. Between the drinks, the food, and the vibe, I'd highly recommend this spot. Service was spot on, and the esthetic is beautiful.
google avatar

Sandy Y.

Yelp
The guacamole was delicious. I would recommend putting an order. It is heavy on the lime so if you're not a fan, stay away. We got two different tacos - al pastor and birria (2 pc per order). It might be a little bit pricey but I think they were quite delicious. Do take note they use corn tortillas. Also got margaritas on the happier menu. Came out quick and strong.
google avatar

Alana K.

Yelp
I grabbed drinks here with a group of friends on a Saturday afternoon. We took advantage of the happy hour deal- great that it includes the weekends! I had a glass of wine, which was decent.
google avatar

Daniela T.

Yelp
Amazing vibes after work. Bar gets very busy during Happy hour so get there early. Drinks are yummy and the food it pretty decent Tacos are good
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
The corn and the quesadilla were very tasty. If I went back I would probably skip the tomatillo salsa as it's generally not my favorite and the fish tacos. The happy hour margs were actually from a draft, but they were nice nonetheless, if a little expensive. It's handy in midtown and the decor is very trendy
google avatar

Steph W.

Yelp
The establishment was pretty empty during peak brunch hours. The inside is absolutely beautiful with ornate décor and furniture. Service was on-point since there weren't many patrons. The brunch food selection is more unique than your standard American breakfast. I got the Roast Pork Sisig ($25). There was a generous portion of meat but it was so so salty. I had to guzzle down cups and cups of water!

Mel I.

Yelp
Sat at the bar. Loved Yohanny. She was great. Excellent service. Fun conversation. I highly recommend both Lolita and Yohanny. Sit at the upstairs bar.
google avatar

Marites C.

Yelp
Came here with my 2 girlies for Galentine's dinner on a Saturday. We had a 6:00 reservation, but arrived around 5:30ish and were seated right away. Lolita has 2 floors and we were seated upstairs. Such a cute spot! Loved that they had happy hour until 7pm. Their happy hour menu consisted of a few cocktails and like 5 small bites. We ordered one of each from the small bites menu. The guac was good, but not the best. The flautas were delish! The platano empanadas were not tasty. The star of the happy hour appetizer was the suadero tacos. OMG sooo freakin yummy!! For our entrees, I got the pollo enchiladas which were drowned in mole sauce and something that I wouldn't order again if I were to return. My friend got the pollo al carbon which was very good (good portion as well) and my other friend got the suadero tacos. I was pretty surprised with the portion my homegirl got for the suadero tacos. Yes, it says 2 tacos per order, but daaamn! $17 for 2 small tacos? I really wished they had like a backdrop of some sort to take cute pictures, but unfortunately they didn't. We took pictures on the stairs and at the bottom of the stairs. xoxo ty byyeee
google avatar

Katherine D.

Yelp
This place is a great place to eat with coworkers family or friends. I came here with my coworkers for a lunch and were surprised. We got there at 2pm a d the place was nice and quiet. There weren't many people sitting down, probably because they get their items for lunch to go. We got a lot of items from the mole entree to the rice and beans side and drinks. The mole is one of the best ive had. Since there is a specific taste with a hint of spice/heat that comes from the mole and they nailed it. The drinks were great as well! I definitely have to come back here. Highly recommend

Lena N.

Yelp
Terrific restaurant! Great Happy Hour, delicious tacos and Yohanny is the best bartender. Perfect before or after the theater. Highly Recommend!
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
Everything we had was SO GOOD. My only disappointment was that we could only order from the brunch menu on Saturday at lunch time, which was a bit limited. So, we'll just have to come back! The space is gorgeous! Especially the bar area. All of the dishes we tried were fresh, and flavorful. We enjoyed the guacamole and queso frito (spicy but unique and delicious) as appetizers. For entrees my husband had the breakfast burrito and I had the carnitas tacos. I loved that it came with a little salad but would've liked to try their rice and beans. The brunch menu online had a sides menu but this was not available in the restaurant for some reason. We will definitely return! There aren't a ton of good options in the area. So this is great!
google avatar

Celine C.

Yelp
My friends and I were barhopping in midtown over the weekend and decided to checkout Lolita. The restaurant is modern, clean, and gorgeous. The lights were also dim so it had a moody ambiance. Server was super friendly and attentive. I got the Golden Hues, which is a tropical alcoholic slushie with Caribbean inspired flavors. It was so sweet and refreshing. I enjoyed the cocktail and would recommend. I would come back!
google avatar

Marilu S.

Yelp
Lolita was a very nice experience I came here on a date. It is a modern elegant Mexican restaurant. The food was astoundingly delicious. The service was excellent the waiter made sure we were okay and if we needed anything else. 10/10 Mexican restaurant recommendation
google avatar

Ariana H.

Yelp
So very beautiful, stopped in for a quick cocktail before a dinner reservation next door. Wish I had tried the food, the drinks and service were great! The best part of my pico de gallo martini were the beads that truly tasted like pico the vibe, next level! Great jams, lotsa color and just beautiful! Don't know how else to describe it other than utterly cool.
google avatar

Celia T.

Yelp
The ambience is such a great vibe, the drinks are beautiful and delicious. Service and food was wonderful. I wanna go here every time I visit NYC! I don't write a lot of reviews but this was worth writing. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Maria N.

Yelp
Stopped by for happy hour and dinner at the bar. Note that happy hour is from 4 to 7 PM Monday through Friday. They have a few drinks specials, but I did not see any food specials on the menu. Bartender was very friendly as she prepared me a strong margarita :). I also enjoy dinner at the bar- a very flavorful Pollo enchilada. . Will be back for another happy hour the next time I'm in the area :-)
google avatar

Rebecca C.

Yelp
This was a Yelp search for a place near Bryant Park to dine at that was not going to break my bank. Christmas time in the city is the best! So beautiful. Lolita was decorated so nice! Really classy! I was able to make a reservation so we were seated immediately upon arrival. The staff were very friendly. Our server was very attentive. Food was delivered appropriately and nothing overlapped. We had appetizers served first. Once they were done, our entrees came. Portion sizes were perfect for the price. Very reasonable, especially for this area of the city. Food was yummy! We enjoyed every single item we ordered! Definitely recommend and will keep this place in mind for the next time I'm in the area!
google avatar

Andrés C.

Yelp
Michelle was amazing! I sat at the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Michelle. She was incredibly nice, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable right away. Food was amazing as always, I would definitely be back!
google avatar

Panyin N.

Yelp
First of all, the service here is wonderful. My server, Rebecca, was so attentive and sweet, and she went above and beyond. She's awesome. The food was good and that's always wonderful but service like this makes this 10 out of 10 experience. I mentioned that it was my sister's birthday, and she brought out a a beautiful dessert without me asking. Rebecca is incredible!!!!
google avatar

Marc L.

Yelp
Had incredible chilaquiles here for brunch! Cute atmosphere, superb service. Definitely coming back.
google avatar

Mark D.

Yelp
Stopped here with my wife after exploring Times Square. The food was pretty good, but it was very expensive for what we got. We ordered the chips and salsa appetizer and while the dips were good, I didn't really like the chips. The chips are very thick and I prefer the more thin and crispy kind. I had the roast chicken which was very juicy and came with a really good sauce, rice, and black bean. It was a lot of food and I ended up sharing some with my wife because her meal was pretty small. Overall, not bad, but I don't think I'd go again.
google avatar

Darren C.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to grab a pre-theater dinner here. We're so glad we did. I had a Lolita Margarita (delicious). My wife had a Agua de Jamaica tea which she enjoyed. We ordered the Flautas de Pollo for an appetizer. It was absolutely delicious and a perfect portion for two people. We each had the Enchiladas de Pollo for our entrée. The molé sauce was so good and the chicken was shredded inside the corn tortilla. Perfect portion and an overall very tasty dish. We shared a side of their Corn Esquites. Ample portion for two and very good. Great location near times Square but away from the beaten path. Will definitely visit again if I'm craving Mexican food while in the city. The service was friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Jocelyn M.

Yelp
The portion size was decent. Prices for drinks are higher than most places. Waiter seemed to have a bit of an attitude, so I wasn't too impressed with his customer service and responses. The restaurant does look very nice but I wouldn't return because customer service is important
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Always a great night at Lolita. The drinks are amazing, and the food is fresh. I just got back from Grand Cayman where the Baja Fish Tacos are fresh and not breaded. This tacos here are a close second to the tropical islands. The service here is nothing less than amazing. The ambiance here is always perfect in every way. Damyan was behind the bar and took good care of me. He knows how to make a great Margarita. I highly recommend this place.
google avatar

Howard L.

Yelp
This place had a very cool vibe, although it was VERY loud! The food was good, the guacamole was good, not amazing. We had all 4 of the tacos, the best but far was the short rib, that one was fantastic! Overall, the food was good, the service was excellent.
google avatar

Kellie R.

Yelp
Tried to stop in here for a bite. We were seated by a hostess and then waited close to 10 minutes without any service and left. It's too bad because we were really excited to try some food but it didn't seem like they wanted our business
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
I visited Lolita tonight during their happy hour. The margarita was tasty. I prefer frozen margaritas, but this was not an option. Since it was happy hour, I ordered the chips with salsa and guacamole. The guacamole was tasty and wonderful. The salsa was just ok. I'm from Texas so I like my salsa with at least a little heat. Although Lolita's salsa was good, it lacked any heat what so ever. I also ordered the al pastor mini tacos. They were excellent! The wait staff was very attentive and the restaurant was very nice, clean and well appointed. If you are in midtown Manhattan and want good Mexican food, I would say Lolita's is your place.
google avatar

Franklin F.

Yelp
The restaurant is VERY LOUD! It seems every patron is competing on who can talk the loudest. The food portions are TINY! You get 2 tacos with no side! We ordered a side of rice and beans to share. The appetizer guacamole was very very good. The weight staff is very nice, friendly and helpful when ordering.
google avatar

Robby B.

Yelp
We came here for our 1st stop on our annual Whisky Walk. Probably the best decision we will make all night. This place is one of the sexiest and friendliest places I've been to in a long time. Sexy and friendly ambiance. From the host to our bartender (Michelle), we were throughly delighted with our Drinks and Food were all Epically made. Can't wait to come back.
