California Burrito Pros Add Food Truck and SDSU Outpost - Eater San Diego

"Lolita’s Mexican Food, which launched in 1984 as a taco shop in Chula Vista and has since become a South Bay staple, is adding a seventh San Diego location near the SDSU campus which joins outposts in Kearny Mesa, Bonita, and the East Village. The new College Avenue branch of the family owned and operated eatery is scheduled to open in early 2019 with free student events and even a taco-eating contest." - Candice Woo

My carne asada burrito was a bit greasy. The inside is quite small & the salsa bar offered very limited items.

I'm on a mission to rank all the California burritos in San Diego! Number 8: Lolita's Mexican Food. This place is a gem.The burrito was huge, hot, and packed with flavorful meat and crispy potatoes. The tortilla was top-notch too. Out of the 8 places I've tried so far, this one takes the cake. I almost finished it before I could even snap a pic. The wait was super short, and they have a bunch of tasty sauces to choose from. It was $12, which is pretty standard for this city. Product: 10 out of 10 The staff was super friendly and respectful. They even called me "Boss". Service: 10 out of 10 The cafe was super clean and had a nice vibe. It wasn't super decorated with Mexican stuff, but it was clear they care about keeping it clean. It's stylish and you can even sit outside and enjoy your burrito in the shade. Ambiance: 10 out of 10

There is a young man named Brandon at the register who is a shining example of what customers service should be everywhere. He is very well spoken, kind, pleasant. So the entire staff is very nice, this person in particular is an excellent employee and would be idea for someone who could lead by example. Great job!!!👍🏼

I have been coming here since I was a child. Food quality has always been good. Prices have gone up quite a bit over the years, but what prices haven't. The new facility is actually quite nice compared to the old one. Avoid the lunch crowd though as it can get quite busy. Ample parking though, so at least that is not a problem.

Google
I go to Lolita's occasionally. I don't understand what the big deal is. The food is just mediocre and overpriced for what you get. The tortilla on the quesadillas are always soggy and not on the edge of being crispy which makes it feel like you got it to go, and it's been sitting in your car for 2 hours( I had it in the restaurant). The chicken is Pretty Tough. It almost feels like dark meat. I will say the chips for very tasty. and 35 minutes want for Mexican fast food is ridiculous.

Google
Gone way down hill over the past 10-15 years. Long waits, food is gross compared to the other SD style Mex food in the area. Your better off going to Graciela’s on Bonita Rd and Central.

Google
I’ve ordered from this location twice, and there won’t be a third. Both times that I’ve ordered, the order was placed around 11:00 a.m. with a 12:00 p.m. pickup time. Both times I’ve picked up my food, it was cold as if it was made the minute I placed the order and left to sit until I picked up. Also, they charge nearly $2 extra for guacamole on a California burrito, and they always seem to forget to put it in the burrito. I suggest checking your food before you walk out, because if you call to complain about it after leaving the restaurant, they make it nearly impossible to correct their mistakes.

Google
I contacted Lolita’s Bonita for a phone order 15 mins prior to closing and was told they weren’t able to take phone orders however I was welcomed to walk in, I rushed over and was able to make it 5 mins before closing. I was told the grill wasn’t working and that I would not be able to order any food. I believe this is bad customer service and I feel that the employees did not care to cook any food and simply refused to take anymore orders. I could’ve avoided rushing to get there if the person on the phone mentioned the grill wasn’t working. This location failed to provide a good customer experience.

Yelp
Today i tried the torta with the carne asada option. Can't forgot a glass bottle of coke to accompany your meal. I haven't eaten at this establishment in years but today visit was superb. The lady who assisted me was on the phone taking an order but quickly assisted me and was very prompt and nice. There isn't a lot of tables inside however the outside has a healthy amount of outside tables The Torta was prepared perfectly today. The bread was soft , light and toasty. The carne asada was seasoned well, the pico de gallo and guacamole were portioned evenly, that the overall composition of the torta was perfect

Yelp
Called in order. Rolled tacos, I forgot to say beef, but they didn't ask what type I wanted. I received the cheapest option (for their bottom line) POTATO...dull and flavorless. Carne asada Monster burrito was lacking a decent amount of meat

Yelp
Is it just me or has Lolita's gone down hill there food used to be good went today for lunch to give them a try again Tried the tsunami burrito wasn't happy with the burrito an now I'm home with a stomach ache Red salsa taste like ketchup Green is ehh I Didn't give them 1 star because their cashier gave good service!

Yelp
Bonita's Mexican food must go-to! Staple place to get a good carne asada fries or my mom's favorite-the carne asada chimichanga. Great location with lots of parking. Conventionally located in a plaza near a bank and dry cleaners. The meat here is truly flavorful which adds on to whichever dish you choose. I just realized they are now open on Sundays which is a plus so id make sure to stop by sometime and try it out if you haven't already. There's indoor and outdoor seating and a larger table that fits like 10-12 ppl for larger parties. Great selection of salsa's and friendly staff. One of my family favorite spots

Yelp
Always good. Always feels like home. I usually go for carne asada burritos first but to change it up I have gotten the street tacos. The carnitas this time was spot on. Sometimes it's fry and I get really sad. The kids love their rolled tacos with guac. Hubs loves the California burrito or we change it up to share carne asada fries sometimes. YUM
google avatar

Isabella R.

Yelp
My favorite tacos shop. I'm so happy they're open on Sundays now. My go to is usually a 2 n 1 since I love their carne asada burritos and rolled tacos. This is a perfect combination since it has both. On my last visit I had the roll taco combo plate in which I was very impressed that they didn't skip out on the Guac and added quite a bit of it which was great! The California burrito is a classic and I also recommend their Tsunami if you're craving surf and turf. I recommend ordering ahead of time because it does get busy and the lines and wait times get long but it's definitely worth the wait.

Yelp
I ordered food tonight and decided to call in so I wouldn't wait in the restaurant. WRONG! I called at 6:05 and was told the order would be ready in 30-35 minutes. I arrived at restaurant at 6:25 and paid and knew I had to wait a little bit. When I saw people leaving who came in after me and ordered at the front counter I finally decided to ask about my order at 6:45. The young lady who helped me ran into the back and came back to tell me "they are working on it". I think they lost my order as how hard is it to make 2 bean burritos and a chicken taco? No order still at 7:05 so I asked again and 5 minutes later FINALLY had my order. While waiting there I watched a long black haired young man at the counter packing food into the bags. On several occasions I saw him pinch his nose, wipe his face and touch his hair. All during this time he was packing orders and giving people eating utensils and napkins. I was lucky to not have him touch my order. When I got home and opened the wrapper I couldn't believe how small the burrito was. My son came out and opened his burrito and literally said what I had seen and thought. He said to start patronizing the other local Mexican restaurants in the area as he never has been a big fan of Lolitas. May have to consider that. I will miss the Lolitas next to Petco Park who always did a great job with their food.

Yelp
Getting absolutely fed up with the kitchen staff and their incompetence when it comes to reading orders! Every time we ask for no cheese on my daughter's food because she has a dairy allergy and every fricken time they put cheese on her food which means I have to wait for them to remake it! Like they seriously need to add a feature into their POS that puts ALLERGY in big red bold letters! Not adhering to someone's allergies can cause major issues! I've spoken with one of the owners kids in the past when it came to this and he was supposed to hold a company wide thing to address it. Well I guess that never happened or the kitchen staff just do not care!
google avatar

Yelp
The quality and the quantity could use some improvement to say the least. I have really tried to love this taco shop. Every time I come back I think "today it will be better, maybe it was just an off day" but again it's back to the disappointment! I have tried to order different things on the menu to no avail. I come here once a week to drop off our kids at art class and wish I could enjoy some good food while I wait for an hour. Needless to say I won't be back. La Lomita Taco shop has SO much more flavor AND decent portion. The service here is good but I'm not here to make friends. I'm here for the food! Kindly.

Yelp
Usually they're great but this time they took forever to take our order when they had like 10 people there. Then the order was messed up and had to wait extra. The taste of the food is great but the service can be better with an emphasis on organization, seems chaotic.

Elliot G.

Yelp
First time here. Going to be my 'go to' Mexican place. Had the Deluxe Breakfast Burrito and it was great, and the price was considerably less than Cotijas across the street. Matter of fact, everything was cheaper than Cotijas, and the portions were equal. Next time, going for the carne asada burrito and/or cheese quesadilla. And, the biggest plus is they DON'T charge the customer a ridiculous debit/credit card fee like Cotijas! I was charged $1.66 a couple weeks ago, and that was the last straw, plus the woman's bad attitude! Lolita's; you e gained a new regular customer.

Yelp
Ahoy, me hearties! 'Tis I, the surfing pirate known as Captain 619, here to give ye a tale 'bout the legendary Mexican joint, Lolita's Mexican Food in Bonita. Arr, this be one of me family's favorite haunts, where the food always be on point. Today, me lovely wife chose her trusty refried bean tostada, while I opted for a cheese quesadilla in a California burrito. And let me tell ye, it never fails to satisfy me taste buds. But alas, me mateys, there be one downside to our visit today - the wait be as long as a never-ending wave. It be no longer fast food, I tell ye. We had to endure a grueling 40 minutes afore we could feast on our lunch grub. Still, it be a cherished spot for me crew, though I may be searchin' for quicker meals if they don't pick up the pace. And to make matters worse, the prices be sailin' higher than the mast of a mighty ship. But the flavors and the salsa, both green and red, keep luring me back in like a siren's call.

Yelp
Walked in waited 45 minutes for my food. The staff is fighting cashiers cursing at the chefs also the chef's cursing at cashiers and to top it off they got my order wrong obviously they cannot handle on online orders not sure what happened to this place definitely stay away, not the first time, this has happened either the quality of all of their locations is definitely fallen

Eduardo M.

Yelp
Lolitas once upon a time was the best spot to go to but now they don't even care to live by their reputation. Their food quantity seems like they are rationing; the rolled tacos are as thin as pencils and barely include any chicken or beef. They don't answer phones promptly for pick up orders & overall are way overpriced. A quesadilla & 3 rolled taco combo is near $20. Sadly lost me as a customer with my last order of rolled tacos being such an offensive display of my cultures food.

Marie C.

Yelp
Found PLASTIC (saran wrap) inside of my carne asada plate. It was hidden in my lettuce and I didn't realize it until I had already chewed on it. Bad food, bad service and high prices are one thing but HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS are just unacceptable especially for a well known establishment! Lolita's might've been a staple then but PRICES have gone UP while portions and QUALITY have unfortunately gone down. Just the other day I came by and waited 50 minutes for a phone in order. There are so many amazing Mexican food restaurants that have come up over the years in San Diego don't settle for less eating here! It's sad to say but Lolita's peaked years ago and have been on their downfall since.

Jose M.

Yelp
Why would they say your order will be ready in 30 min and we are over an hour now and still waiting!!!! This was an online order. Looking at past reviews and issues remain. At least let people know how long they really have to wait.
google avatar

Russell M.

Yelp
Over 40 minutes and they still hadn't made my burrito. They don't care about customers
google avatar

Alex G.

Yelp
I would frequent this location weekly, but it's not worth the wait or the price. Calling in or ordering online is completely useless, Cashiers could care less, and there only response to being asked when will my food be ready? is "Ten Minutes" without actually checking or doing anything. What little Service left has taken a serious nose dive, and I don't plan on returning any time soon, I would happily drive to National City or old Chula Vista and give my money to a taco shop that respects my time and appreciates my business.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
I'm rather disappionted in this establishment. This was my first time ever ordering from this place and they couldn't even get my order correct. I literally ordered a Bean and cheese burrito. So how is it that I asked for refried beans but I got the whole ones and I wanted jack cheese and I got the complete opposite?. Like the fact that I ordered something so simple and it still wasn't made correctly? I ordered in advance. I didn't even get a text that it was ready to be picked up. When I got there the guy hands me the order and then takes off the receipt from my bag. The receipt on the bag should be mine. And he wasn't very friendly. This is just a really bad experience for a first time at a restaurant. And it's not even the fact that the service was so bad necessarily it's the fact that I asked for something really simple and that was wrong.

Sotero E.

Yelp
They ran out of onions at 6:30 PM and when I asked why, they said that they didn't order enough like that's actually a legitimate business reason. Manager didn't even say a word. Just stayed quiet as he overheard my conversation with the worker. I then got home and the taco was a chicken taco instead of beef. And that's after I corrected her when she repeated the order. Also, the 2 in 1 burrito was cold. So if you want your order to be wrong and cold, then go here.
google avatar

Steph V.

Yelp
This review is re wait time, which seems to get longer and longer each time I walk-in and place an order. I waited 48 minutes for a carne asada burrito and combo plate. Shame on me for waiting and for tipping. They appeared to prepare online orders first but there still seemed to be a long wait based on the number of people waiting around. I won't be back but my recommendation would be to place an order about 1 hour before you want to eat.
google avatar

Luke P.

Yelp
Love their green salsa, their bean tostadas, their carne asada burritos, their California burritos, their fish tacos! They get busy, but they're good about getting food out quickly. Always friendly. Quiet little corner with peaceful outdoor tables. Highly recommend. Just wish they'd get bigger salsa ramekins!

Anthony M.

Yelp
Definitely the best taco shops in town. The best portion and it's truly authentic Mexican food. Service is the best and they do law enforcement and military discount. Definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
this is our go-to Lolita's! i will never cheat on them again lol i went to the Lolita's on Telegraph and they were rude and had bad service; nothing like this location. this location has amazing employees; every time i go they're always so nice, polite, and attentive. there's always this one employee, i believe her name is Elise?, who is always there smiling and providing great service. as well as these 2 young gentleman whose names i'm not sure of. amazing place with amazing food and they rarely get our order wrong. would highly recommend this place

Jeff Q.

Yelp
Good food bad service called in an order you would think they would rush the order waited over 30 minutes to get my order. I guess they have so many customers. The customer service at least good customer service is out the window stay away from this place across the street, so arrogant these people message to the owners your customer service has went in the toilet. Don't forget who got you where you're at not even an apology for a late order that I called in unbelievable.. Taking my business elsewhere no wonder this store got three stars. or to the wise the prices that were paying for for this food and the customer service that you get horrible plainly horrible go to tacos El Gordo.

Nina F.

Yelp
so disappointed to find out they fry their chips + fries and cook with LARD. I really loved their food and every time I'd crave Mexican food I'd drive down to lolitas! As someone who doesn't eat lard, this was extremely disappointing. it is unhealthy and inflammatory, I really wish more places would move away from lard in their cooking.
google avatar

Olga M.

Yelp
Lolita's Mexican Food in Bonita, CA never disappoints. Our orders by phone usually take 10-15 minutes unlike the other Lolita's restaurants. Our go to is always the carne asada chips and carne asada burrito's so delicious and very filling.

Kathy V.

Yelp
They aren't cheap, so when you ask for extra stuff it's disappointing when they don't add it, plus they make no effort to compensate when you let them know it's happened before. Managers need to train on customer service and accuracy. Love the chile relleno burritos, but they go cheap on the Chile they don't even use the bigger poblano, they use anaheim peppers, so half way through the burrito the pepper is gone. They need to change their green and red salsa. Been around a long time to not be up on their game.

Chris G.

Yelp
Their motto is patience is the essence of fine Mexican food, well after an hour and a half my patience wore out and had to cancel my order. Lolita's sure isn't what it used to be. Their service has gone downhill as well as their food quality.

Yelp
Lolita's is a taco shop that has been a staple for my wife and I since our youth. The original one that I know of is the one in Chula Vista on L Street near 7-11. The family is deep rooted in San Diego and now have multiple locations throughout the city. Even one by Petco Park downtown. So myself and many others growing up in the South Bay have history with Lolita's. Sadly this is a Meh review. After a few errands we decided to go to Lolita's in Bonita for dinner. It was a online order that I placed on the phone. So the plan was to pick it up and then head home for the family to enjoy. The customer service is always good here. The staff is nice. It was the food that was the problem. It wasn't a difficult order. Two 2-1 burritos and an order of carne asada chips. Well one of the burritos was way over cooked. The burrito tortilla wrapper was burnt so every bite was dry. Even a cold beer couldn't mask the burnt taste. As far as the carne asada chips. We got carne asada fries instead. Not that carne asada fries were bad but it wasn't what we initially ordered. We have never had a bad order in forty plus years of eating at different Lolita locations until now. A great track record but still disappointing. They were definitely busy with orders coming from everywhere. Online orders plus endless people walking into the taco shop. Maybe the cooks were overwhelmed. It used to be in person or phone orders only. Maybe they should go back to that. Not writing off going back to Lolita's forever. I am just chalking it up as a one time thing. Unfortunately this one time thing wasn't good.

Katterine G.

Yelp
Worse place customer service at Bonita location and food was cooked nasty. Please pay this location an undercover visits to find out how bad this location has gotten. We have been going to this place for about 5 years now because of the quality and taste of the food and didn't pay much attention about customer service. However, today my husband went at night to buy food for To go. He asked the cashier at the register for some lime for my tacos and his carne asada fries, but the guy just flat out lied in his face that they ran out of lime. My hubby could visibly see some limes behind him and the other cashier even made a comment "we ran out of lime?" He flat out lied still and said "yes." Hubby left the store because it's not worth the argument but got home and found out that our food wasn't cooked the way hubby asked them to which is extra cooked meat. My chicken tacos are big pieces of unseasoned chicken. Tasted pretty bad! Worse place ever!
google avatar

Lino V.

Yelp
Wow , they have the smallest burritos in all of Bonita. What happened to u guys ? They want 15$ for a tiny burrito and they hide the limes behind the counter now . not a place to go for Mexican food. where's the meat? And , the red salsa has too much water in it. don't water it down !!!!
google avatar

Pricilla M.

Yelp
I have never paid more for less. I've included pictures of my Taco Bell sized Lolita's Carne Asada burrito. I used my recipe and some salsas to give you a better idea. I wouldn't mind this size burrito if I paid $3-$5 dollars, but $10.82. It's just disappointing. Would not recommend this location. I had to leave an extra star because I've always had good customer service.
google avatar

Creed B.

Yelp
This location is very understaffed and due to the amount of customers coming in and out the food looks and taste like it is rushed. Only 2 employees working the register where they have to take phone orders, online orders, and in person orders all at the same time. As I was waiting for 30-45 minutes for my order, 7 guests were complaining about how long their order was taking which is inconsiderate to the 2 employees and cooks that are working hard. I don't blame the employees or cooks for the mess at this location. The owner or manager of this location needs to do better! Customers come in this location with a smile on their face and leave with a frown! What a shame. Will never come back and will never recommend this location to anyone. Management needs to do better.
google avatar

Suz C.

Yelp
We really like this Lolita's location. Not as crazy busy as the others and the food doesn't take as long either. Staff is always nice and the guy in charge always brings our food to the table. My kid says their bean and cheese burritos can't be beat. The only spot I'll get a shredded beef chimichanga at. It's always delicious!

Francine P.

Yelp
Always fast and always delicious! Now they are open on Sundays! Our favorite place for Carne asada Fries and Tsunami Burrito!
google avatar

Karla P.

Yelp
I went to Lolita's for the first time in a year after last year they kept messing up my order, so I stopped going to Lolita's. Let me tell you my experience tonight first I called at 8:40 pm they put me on hold for 10 minutes I started telling them my order and then she told me since it was 8:50 pm they couldn't take my order over the phone because they closed but if I get there before 9 pm I can place my order in person I told her I was going down the hill. Ok, I got there and almost slipped they removed all the floor mats I placed my 59.53 dollars I asked for extra cheese on the carne asada chips which I paid extra. Plus I asked for napkins and forks too. A lady with a green shirt and glasses said I got a container of red hot Sauce since my order was more than 50 dollars I got home and no red sauce no extra cheese no forks and napkins which I asked for too. Understand I came in at closing time but does not excuse them for always having my order wrong. I was a loyal customer since they had a 500 sqft restaurant in Bonita since 2001.

Audrey L.

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was a little kid and love to see how much they have grown. One of my favorite things on their menu are the rolled tacos. They have some of the best rolled tacos around. I also like their burritos or carne asada fries! The carne asada fries have been a favorite of mine for a long time probably because they have some of the best carne asada I've ever had. They have a salsa bar with some really great salsas, but I love that they serve limes and radishes. I feel it just adds the perfect touch to any meal at Lolita's!

Azael V.

Yelp
One of the places I'd like to go for fries add some pico de gallo and got more flavor plus the fries are warm when they come out

Estela G.

Yelp
Great food great service and the sauces are the best especially the red one. It's the perfect spice. The place is great and the employees are very nice
google avatar

TianChee S.

Yelp
Got the tsunami fries which basically was a carne asada fries with few pieces of shrimp. It was decent but the fries were kind of soft to being with which I personally prefer some kind of crispy/crunch. They kind of over peppered the meats but luckily I was able to drench some salsas over it to make it less peppery.

Yelp
I've loved Lolita's since I was in middle school (I'm 24 now), and this location has never disappointed me UNTIL my last visit on November 21st, 2022. 1) I was craving for a chicken quesadilla and I thought to myself "Lolita's would have quality chicken" boy I was wrong! I literally despise shredded chicken in my quesadillas, but the fact that I found a BONE was just disgusting. 2) I ordered carne asada fries with well done meat + crispy fries. The fries were not crispy, the meat was not well done and the guac looked so old. When I came to return this, the manager said "it tends to do that when it steams up" but no because I literally called in the order 10 MINUTES away, was quoted 10-15 min, got there and tried the fries as soon as I got to the car. If the fries were actually crispy like I had asked, they would've been. Though I came back and got a complete refund for my order, I just felt obligated to post this so the chef would be held accountable. There were multiple chefs I saw working, and I just can't seem to understand how not a single one saw this mess-up. I think after this many years being in business and having multiple locations, there is a certain standard you have to uphold to because you are now representing a brand. And when I came to return this, the chefs were LAUGHING. Like is this funny to you guys? I'm not just some customer with high-standards, and I don't think it should be a laughing manner when there's a mistake that was made. I'm pregnant and God forbid I ate that quesadilla and choked on that bone. Very upset with this location. Hoping the owner sees this and ensures the chefs do better. Only two stars because prior to this day everything was always fine before.

Yelp
Food took an hour and a half to be ready after they said 20 minutes. This dumbass girl with red hair would rather flirt around with everybody than to do her job and ended up losing our ticket. DONT EVER COME HERE
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
Some menu items are pricey but they always do a 10% military discount which is nice. Pollo burrito is a solid choice and well not huge it is also reasonably priced and comes with a good amount of guacamole in it. Don't assume that ordering the $11 or $12 burritos will get you a huge burrito. I was surprised last time when we ordered one of the specialty burritos that it was not "oversized." I will say that the shrimp burrito even though it was 11 bucks was loaded with the jumbo Mexican sweet shrimp. It was very messy to eat but delicious. A lot of salsa fresco and sour cream is what made it messy. Things like a bean burrito are super cheap. It's very clean in the restaurant and they have different sauces and radishes on the salsa bar.

Yelp
I get things have gotten crazy expensive, but when you're paying $10 for a Carne Adada burrito, you'd expect some meat in it. This things was full of Pico and hardly any meat. Also ordered fries and asked for them to be crispy... Hardly cooked at all. Need to find another Taco shop!

Kris C.

Yelp
Used to be a go to spot for California burritos and carne Assad's fries but now there is little meat and portions are smaller and prices are higher. Not the comfort food we used to love

Yelp
Absolute worst customer service at the Bonita location. I ordered 2 tacos online and the website said my order would be ready by 1:33pm (little over 30 min from time order was placed). I head over there and arrive at 1:35pm to pick up my order and the guy at the counter says it's not ready yet and he will call me when it's ready. Well this happened before at this location and my order was actually on the counter waiting for me. So I'm waiting and thinking, wow, 2 tacos over 30 min and they are not ready, I don't have time to be waiting around for 2 tacos. I asked the guy to cancel the order so he goes and talks with the woman in the kitchen about canceling the order. He then comes back and says, the order is ready it's right here, do you want it? I said yes, if you can get it bagged so I can go.. well now I'm waiting more and then the woman in the kitchen comes out and starts messing with the register. I asked are you cancelling the order? He replied yes. LOL WOW! So I told them it will go back to my card I don't need to stand around here and wait for it to be done.

Yelp
Horrible service. We called 40 minutes ahead of time. Ordered 5 beef rolled tacos, 5 potato rolled tacos and a bean and cheese burrito. We arrived and they told us they don't have the 5 potato tacos and they don't have the 5 beef rolled tacos. They tell us this after they had already charged my visa for $21.37. This is ridiculous. Why charge me if you don't have food in stock. Someone could have atleast called us back and told us that they don't have our food in stock. Horrible! Why even charge me!!! To top it off the girl at the register was so mean! So rude! Very disrespectful! Is this how lolitas operates now? You hire extremely unprofessional people !!!!!

Yelp
Just came Back July 11,2024 . I ordered my Food around 7:55pm. I'm Not Offended or mad. But, I had to Stand up for myself.... 1. I'd Appreciate an Accurate Wait Time. I was told 10-15 min. I ended up waiting about 30 min....... The Manager in all Black whom looked like he was in his late 50's or in his 60's..... I don't know how my Order or Receipt got Lost. But, by the time I went to the Register, they couldn't Find my Receipt and I saw they had to Make it Right on the Spot.... (I've been waiting 15- 20 min.) Already....Even Left, drove around to Run an errand. And, Came Right Back.. *Take Out Orders should Always come First rather than Phone or Internet orders..... I Remember working at a Pizza place-Under a Really Amazing Boss, I had in La Jolla. The Rule was: First Come, First Serve. 2. Well, I don't Know how all the people who came in After me got their orders and were ALL Dining and sitting down Already.. But, they were There After me. And, I was Able to Beat All the Foot Traffic. There were was bunch of Junior High to Highschool looking Kids/Teens.... * I noticed the young boy on the Register knew one of them and gave a handshake..., The young boy was Respectful. But, I had to wonder if his buddies got Hooked up, though. 3. $18 cost. And, there's Very , Very Little cheese on my Fries. I was Confused, Looking at it. Did you guys run out of Cheese?! 4. I had to get out of my car, to go inside and ask them for more Cheese, to my Already Late Order..... On a Positive Note: + I Appreciated the other Manager whom had Lots of Tattoos + had a hat on. He was Excellent. And, Empathic + Caring. He double checked for me to See if there was sour cream and cheese on Both my Orders. He was Awesome. I'd like to give a 5/5 Rating. But, the Other Stuff was Disrespectful. And, I don't Tolerate Disrespect, Big or Small... I can tell the other Manager knows how to be Respectful -as he called the young good looking man behind me (in line) 'Sir'......... That Manager didn't even say 'Sorry', when I asked for more Cheese.....As, it was an Inconvenience for me. But, I do Acknowledge it was Nice that he gave a lot of Cheese, (in those black cups, that are bigger than the salsa cups) that could be shared between Both my orders. I just find it Strange how I was the very Last one to get my Order. When it was predicted it would only be 10-15 min. Wait time.... But, All those young guys After me had Theres Before mines....?? Make it ,make Sense. I made a comment... And, the other Manager told me that those orders were Phone/Internet orders.... But, Judging from the Comments and Reviews about their wait times, being 40 min-1 Hour. Something Weird is going on, Here. And, they should do Something About it to Keep the Customer's Happy.
