Here almost every Friday during lunch and every time it has a very relaxed atmosphere, always greeted and served in a professional and polite manner. I always order the green tea so I can only speak for that quality and preference because I think Tap Ex tea lacks strength and flavor but that is just my opinion. The owner Rick is a great God fearing family man and that is a plus for me also.

The staff are so polite and the new owner Mr. Rick is so friendly and helpful! Great drinks and so many options. The girl working even made a drink recommendations for next time! With great prices and friendly, fast service, This will be our boba spot for sure! My girls loved it!

i frequent Lollicup for the Boba which is an option for any drink on their menu- hot, warm, or cold. The menu covers the usual flavored drink combos with just as many unique signature flavored drinks. Of course, like the Boba you have the option to get a traditional iced tea or hot cocoa But Why?? Lollicup also serves Slushies, Smoothies, Milkshakes, Snow, Dairy & Non-Dairy just ask the staff are always friendly and know their drink 😎👍. Been here for 10+ years and Lollicup does not disappoint/hits the brain-freezing/warm-soothing spot Everytime.

The atmosphere at this place is extremely comforting a very welcoming. Among the amazing variety and great taste of coffee, the staff treat you like family. They’re extremely kind and Lollicup is the perfect place to go study or simply just play pool with your friends. My favorite drink is the Montmartre blended with whip cream, reminds me a bit of the dessert dish tiramisu! Super delicious coffee, and great place. The prices are also amazing and very affordable, will def be going here instead of Starbucks now lol. Would definitely recommend to everybody :)

I recently visited Lollicup Tea Zone, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, the overall ambiance of the place felt outdated and in need of a refresh. However, it was the quality of the bubble tea that truly disappointed me. Upon taking my first sip, I was met with a distinctly unpleasant taste. The bubble tea was far from enjoyable and could even be described as disgusting. The boba itself lacked freshness and any discernible flavor. It seemed to be saturated with artificial food coloring and preservatives, resulting in a drink that was devoid of any natural taste. For someone who appreciates the subtleties and flavors of bubble tea, this was a major letdown. As I browsed the reviews online, I couldn't help but question the validity of the numerous 5-star ratings. It's difficult to fathom how so many positive reviews could exist for a place that provides such subpar bubble tea. It seems that those reviews might be skewed or perhaps not truly reflective of the actual experience. For anyone who considers themselves knowledgeable about bubble tea, I would caution against visiting Lollicup Tea Zone. It falls short in terms of taste, freshness, and overall quality. If you're seeking a truly enjoyable bubble tea experience, I would recommend exploring other establishments that prioritize the authentic flavors and use fresh ingredients.

Rick and Jordan are such amazing people. From the time I walked through the door you could feel the warmth and friendliness. They were more than helpful explaining the menu and didn't rush or pressure us to make a quick decision. This being my first time here, I was able to look over the menu and chose Thai milk tea and two chocolate milk teas for the kiddos. The chocolate milk tea I learned didn't have tea at all in them which was great for me cause who wants antsy bouncing kids that can't keep still right? Lol. Rick was wonderful to talk to and Jordan who made our drinks was just as great. The vibe is so chill and laid back. We lounged on the sofa while we waited all of less than 8 minutes for three drinks. The Thai tasted as if the tea was actually brew and after discovering they take their time letting the teas brew sometimes up to 24-30 hours... wow now that's some good tea. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely come back when in the area. I highly recommend this spot to come hang with friends and shoot some pool or swing through for a drink. You won't be disappointed. As the prices are reasonable too. Thank you again.

My Jasmine milk tea was just ok and the boba was a little harder in texture than I'd like. Others got the taro slush, lychee slush, and strawberry slush which were really good. Maybe the tea stuff isn't the item to get here, more of the fruity. They have entertainment like a pool table which is the best $1 spent if you go with kids!

I've been coming to Lollicup Boba since I was in high school (over 13 years), and I have to say, it's hands down my favorite spot for boba tea! The variety of drinks is incredible - whether you're in the mood for a classic milk tea, fruity blends, or something unique, they've got it all. The boba itself is always perfectly chewy and fresh, and I love how customizable each drink is. The staff is always super friendly and quick, and the store is always clean and welcoming. I also appreciate that they have a lot of options for different dietary needs, from dairy-free to less sugar. My favorite it the mango slush with boba and chamoy! Highly recommend if you're a boba lover!

We got a Thai tea with boba and a milk tea with boba. It was ok, I personally wouldn't come back.

I mean it's a good boba shop with really good quality drinks been going here for years but - my only 'complaint' with this business is the Asian lady who mainly runs the business & the cashier doesn't call out your name and drink at ALL. Like, she's just quiet about it. Kind of just 'puts' your drink on the table expecting you to just 'see' it and grab it and go... I get it the high counter is visible enough, but sometimes I think she unintentionally hides drinks behind various items ie. the boba holder/decorations. It's especially frustrating when it's busy, I'm hella overstimulated, and doesn't SAY ANYTHING. Not even a whisper. If anything I've learned from working in the food & beverage industry, you should at least YELL the customer's order/name. ESPECIALLY when it's busy. I just sat there for 17 minutes wasting my time. :/ But good place overall nonetheless. :)

We spent an afternoon playing pool while drinking our preferred drinks. Definitely liked playing pool and having the option to sit on clinched or at tables. We all got something different. There's plenty of options to choose from. Take your pick of coffee, Boba tea, or fruit smoothie. It is a nice place to hang out after work or school with family and friends.

The workers are so sweet, the drinks are amazing, and the store is welcoming! I've been coming to this place for years now, since I was in high school. I remember walking to this place after school to get an oreo or coffee slush. I not only enjoy the drinks here, but there is also a pool table inside where you can play. This place is very nostalgic to me and I continue to go for the great drinks. Over the years, their menu and toppings have expanded, but the good quality remains the same. I've tried so many drinks here ranging from slushies, milk teas, fruit teas and I've liked all of them. I have no complaints about this place!

The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable about all the beverages on his menu. The menu was surprisingly overwhelming but he made it easy to choose. Top favs are- Vietnamese coffee, Thai tea slush, Ube/taro slush, & honeydew slush of course with BOBA! Best boba texture for sure! Cool hip lounge vibe. Pool table and couch to lounge and hang out. It could be modernized but we always take our boba to go. Best part is the drinks taste so fresh and perfect balance of milky/sweetness! Less than $5 for a large sized drink!!!! Thankful!

Been meaning to post this review, but just didn't have to the heart to since I loved this place so much. I ordered a Thai milk tea, milk tea w/ice cream & a cappucino slush. As I was sitting with my family in our living room, a really strong smell of spoiled milk (or dairy) was lingering. I couldn't figure out where it came from... I even went to smelling the couch cushions and blankets (thinking one of my kids spilled milk). But it wasn't that... it came FROM THE THAI MILK TEA. I know this for a fact because my son burped and it smelled like rotten dairy. I asked him if it even tasted funny, but he couldn't tell the difference. I was appalled that if I could smell this, how could the workers NOT smell this as making the drink?! What if my 7-year old son got sick from drinking a spoiled ingredient? To get a 2nd opinion I asked my husband to smell the drink and he confirmed the spoiled odor was coming from the Thai milk tea. Even before this, under new management this place was hit or miss. I really do miss the previous owner (who knew us since we came all the time). Things are just not the same since and the spoiled Thai Tea was icing on the cake. I'm sorry to say but we won't be returning and I do really wish the new owners the best.

Glad to see this location is still open, surviving Covid! They have a wide variety of drinks.I was surprised at the prices which are lower than other boba places. He accommodated my order - a hot milk with boba. Mmm!

I ordered 2 large ube slushes with extra boba and coconut jelly on this visit and I think I fell in love with this combination! But more importantly, the service was so great. I love the personal feel of a mom and pop shop like this one. They have a TV and a pool table to entertain you while you wait!

For the price point and taste, I will have to agree with everyone else here. I had a good experience in this little lollicup. Where else would I be able to find drinks starting at $3.25 for a regular that doesn't taste powdery nowadays?? I would definitely come back to this location and try more things. Parking was fairly easy in this plaza. Make sure to bring cash if you don't want to pay the 0.30 cent fee or so, since there's a minimum of $5 w card. I love Lollicup, this place has been our go to for mom and daughter drinks since my kiddo was 6. They have a pool table and couches, aside from your regular tables to sit at to talk to your friends. It's a good place for kids of any age to come hangout, teens, and even the parents can have a nice talk with their kids or with other people their own age. The place hasn't changed much, but it's always clean and has that nice hangout feel. Of course, what's a good place to go without good service. The service is always fast and very courteous! My favorite type I'm posting an old pic of this place because it just brings me back! But the place is still amazing, don't miss it when you walk by!

Excellent service and delicious drinks! I have been coming here for years. I got married and moved to east county san diego, and i still make the drive for my favorite boba spot in all of san diego.

Compared to other spots, their drinks are more reasonably priced and taste pleasantly good. Love the Lavender Milk Tea. Employees are kind. The space is a bit worn down so I would just grab my drinks and go versus hanging out. Giving it 5 stars bc I value the quality of the drinks.

I have been going to Lollicup for almost 8 years and it never disappoints me. I live near Kearny Mesa now and get boba up there usually, but I still find myself coming to Lollicup at least one a month because there's just something that feels like home about it! They always have very good boba (fresh) and an assortment of drinks that the average milk tea drinker but also the "never had boba before" can get! Definitely a good hangout spot (prior to the pandemic of course) and I hope this opens back up for all the kids in the area. Things to know: they have non dairy creamer drinks! Small charge if small purchase on card! Ask for a punch card!

A classic in my book! This place gives me nostalgic memories, when I was younger and my siblings were forced to bring me with them when they hanged out with their friends here. And I still get boba til this day as an "adult" Boba always slaps, staff is very friendly!

This is the first time I've been here in YEARS (and during COVID-19). The place is exactly like how I remember it: big menu on your left when you enter, a pool table in the center (not in use during Covid-19) and black couches to your right. The tables are blocked off and there is a good amount of distance created between the front counter/register and customers on the other side. I am always a little overwhelmed when I look at the menu because there are so many choices! But this is a good thing compared to other drink/boba places. Lollicup also has a lot of add-ons to put inside your drink like mango jelly, assorted jelly, boba, extra boba, etc. Today I got the pistachio slush! The taste was just right--not too nutty and not too subtle. Ive gotten different flavors in the past but wanted to try something new today. Tip: you can mix different flavors together. The people who work here are super nice and quick making the drinks! I honestly prefer Lollicup over Tapex! Because this is a smaller business, the customer service just seems to always be consistently great. 5/5!

I really wish this place was open during covid. It's such a cool place to hang out and chill in between classes (it's literally right across the street or southwestern college) The menu is HUGE!! So many drink choices. I got the coffee milk tea! Super good! Not over powering with sweetness! Definitely will return to try more drinks!

One of the more affordable boba places in the area yet they have great flavors. Including one of my favorite flavors. Honeydew milk tea. Every worker is always friendly and greets you very kindly. They have a pool table & couch in the store which is pretty cool. Great place to hang out especially for local HS students or college students. Would recommend over many other boba shops. Plus they got normal teas. smoothies & milkshakes.

I went yesterday afternoon with my little daughter and the two young ladies working there were very helpful, courteous, and seemed to enjoy working there. They took the time to explain to me what the differences were in the kinds of drinks and we're patient. My family enjoyed the delicious drinks and really appreciate the young ladies helping out. The drinks are amazing very clean place and the guy on register is amazing always would get the pistachio milk tea and I asked him for any recommendations he told me about a couple of them so I tried one and wow u guy's gotta try this place out

Finally came back to this Lollicup after so so many years! Just found out that my friends recently took over this place so while I was in town I had to go and show face and some support! The Service was amazing, I ordered a regular Thai tea and it was perfect amount of sweetness! Excited to see what they will have in the future! This will be my new go to boba spot when I come into town

Out of all the boba shops In the Eastlake area, this place has the best customer service and drinks hands down. You can tell this is family owned and the staff is always so kind and very fast about making drinks (even if there is one or two people working). No matter which drink I get here it taste VERY fresh!!!! My favorite drink here is probably their Thai Tea with mini boba! It taste SO good! You can tell they don't use powder but actual tea leaves! The prices are also great! They have a lot of selection, blended drinks, coffee, they even sell snacks! The only con I would say is that it is a little bit outdated in interior design but it is still very clean to me. I think if they were to do a remodel this place it would be amazing and attract a lot more customers! With covid right now asking for a remodel is a bit too much. They probably lost a lot of customers already due to southwestern college being online now but if you can please support this business!

I've heard about the Lollicup franchise for quite some time and I've always wanted to try it but there has never been one close to me. I was in Chula Vista last week visiting a friend and I stopped by MJ's for some food, I was delighted to find out that Lollicup is next door to it. The place kind of has a relaxed coffee shop vibe to it. They have a lot of delicious flavors available of milk tea, smoothies, slushies and even hot coffee drinks. I ordered an iced caramel deluxe cappuccino and I got my friend a Thai iced tea. The caramel deluxe capp was actually really tasty, I like it better than Starbucks caramel espresso drinks. It was very flavorful and I highly recommend it if you like your coffee drinks sweet. Service was pretty nice too. The gentleman who was working there (I think he's the owner?) was really sweet and friendly. I'm not in Chula Vista a lot but if I were I'd be a regular here.

Very affordable and delicious drinks! They let me customize my drink for free. I added coconut flavoring to my strawberry smoothie. The ladies were very sweet. I look forward to my next visit here!

Grateful to find this little boba joint next to Bonita Vista HS! Came here on a Saturday night, and the owner HUNG was more than friendly. We appreciate his efficiency as he tended to all the customers in the store - all by himself. Like that they have Cups of Noodles ($1) and a wide selection of chips and ice cream. My favorite was definitely the AVOCADO SMOOTHIE! Will come back if we are in the area :)

My go to boba place even though there's a boba place across the street from me! The boba here is always nicely chewy and sweet. Usually, when you get boba late at night or close to closing, a shop's boba is hard and VERY unappealing. But fear not, this boba shop has fresh boba even to the very end of the day. The drinks are blended to perfection. Drinks are not too sweet-- if you'd like a modification on sweetness, just let a worker know! The shop is pretty spacious. However, if you go right after one of the schools get out, chances are you'll be around a lot of middle/high schoolers. If you do catch yourself in this time, don't worry because the line goes by pretty fast and your drinks come in a timely manner. The owners are amazing and friendly as always. Today, I went to the shop to get a friend a gift. I got a Taro slush with boba, bag of Sour Patch kids, and a gift certificate. The owner offered to put the bag of candy and gift certificate in a boba cup and seal it! It was super cute! To overlook this place would be a crime. It's not the trendiest looking place, but it is the tastiest.

Our third time here and it's been great every time! Today's fav was the Hawaiian Sunset slush. It has pineapple, watermelon, and papaya flavors. Delicious! Taste tropical and refreshing. I love that they let you request the level of sweetness--I usually go for half sweet and it's still yummy! Very patient and kind employees, too!

They are under new management now and everything is so hit or miss. Sometimes the boba is old or the milk tea tastes different every time. I really miss the old ownership he had so much pride in his business and recipes.

I walked in today excited to order a refreshing drink. I stood at their front counter for 5+ minutes and NOBODY acknowledged me. They weren't busy at all. They had two people sitting at a table who already had what they ordered and the other three customers received their drinks and walked out and yet not one worker bothered to say they would be right with me or took my order, so I walked out! Just rude and horrible customer service to not even acknowledge a waiting customer. I'll be happy to take my business elsewhere.

I've been coming here for over a decade and I'm so happy it's been able to stick around. This is by far my favorite boba place around San Diego, whenever I come down to east Chula Vista, I make a point to make a stop here. Staff is friendly and is a great place to sit and chill

I love going here. Hung is the owner and he is always welcoming everyone with a huge smile. I know there is a little wait at times but I don't mind because of the great personal service and the time he takes to make my blueberry banana smoothie perfect. He always asks how we are and when I don't go for a while he asks where I've been. My friend is addicted to the peach yogurt snow. It's his favorite he has gone to the lollicup in National City because he works close but rather drive the distance because its not as slushy there ha ha ha. Good times good people I love it! I love this place. Favorite boba place for sure. Not as busy as SD boba. I got addicted while attending the college and I stop when I'm nearby. They have tables, couches, and a pool table. The baristas are always very nice.

Our family loves coming here for bubble tea. Their menu is huge and not ridiculously priced, like so many other places. The drinks are always good and so is the service. Family owned and operated; gotta support that. Seems like they're crazy busy even during the pandemic, but we can definitely understand why. We've tried so many flavors and they're all yummy but my personal favorite is the taro milk tea with coconut jelly. The kids love the cantaloupe snow with mango popping boba and the hubby enjoys the almond snow with boba.

Super good! My BF & I go here all the time because it's by his house. They have a ton of options and it's always good. The boba itself is good too, Recently had another places boba and somehow it wasn't as good as this place. We get the Thai tea or Milk Tea, but we've tried other flavors too.
