"Lolly’s Bakery is an East Boston staple that opened in 1997. Operated by Patty Guzman, this Latin American bake shop is known throughout the neighborhood for its array of Mexican, Colombian, and Guatemalan pastries. Look no further than Lolly’s for some of the best conchas and guava-filled pan dulce the city has to offer. Lolly’s is also famous for its custom wedding and birthday cakes, which come in flavors like tres leches, flan, and mille-feuille, which is made with vanilla cream in between layers of puff pastry. The bakery has a second location in Lynn." - Katie Draisen

Yelp
The tres leches flan was super super indulgent and satisfying, loved the soft mushy tres leches cake part combined with the custardy part of the flan, and the thick caramel top coating brought it all together! It is a lot for one person, and gets probably too sweet after several bites, but perfect to share with a friend

Yelp
This place is around the street from me and very cute. The inside is always busy but you never have to wait too long. The people working are so nice. You will want to come early cause they do have less options as the day goes on due to things selling out. The pastries are are really good, fresh, and cheap.

Yelp
We loved our unexpected drop in to Lolly's. We were en route home after lunch and spied this little bakery. Inside, the cold cases and shelves are chock full of Latin treats. We were so excited to see the amazing offerings. We settled on a cold treat; arroz con leche. I have always loved rice pudding. Lolly's version is quite good. It's not overly sweet, the rice is oh so slightly al dente and it's full of cinnamon and goodness. We cannot wait to return and try their cakes.

Yelp
Great sweet breads at an affordable price! Not far from the airport station on the blue line. Check it out!

Yelp
Hands down the best cakes ever, they taste so fresh and so delicious! The girls are always friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Yelp
The best bakery in east Boston. Everything is super fresh, the ladies there are super helpful and very kind

Yelp
Although the number of places I've tried in East Boston are limited, it seems filled with places that always surprise and impress. So when I'm walking down the street and am greeted by the smell of butter in the air, my curiosity is peaked. The thing that stood out was the massive variety of pastries. In fact, I was so overwhelmed that I forgot to take photos of what I got/the interior! The pastries were different (being that I'm used to American/Asian pastries). However, it is a very welcome challenge for me to try something I haven't tried. The price of the pastries are about 60 cents each which is a surprised given their size. The pastries were well made and not too sweet! I plan to go back in the future so I can update this review with photos. If you are in the area, whether you're getting pizza at Santarpio's or the many other places in the area, make sure to check this place out! You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
I live around the corner and love popping into this place. I'm obsessed with the pan the queso (bread in a large donut shape) and the various breads. Sometimes I don't know what I'm getting, but that's part of the fun. The staff is very sweet.

Yelp
I wanted a Tres Leches baby shower cake for a co-worker. I found Lolly's on the internet. I placed the order with very friendly staff. I let them know it was for a baby shower and wanted blue for a boy. The cake I received was beautiful! Everyone praised the cake. The mother-to-be was very happy. The cake was delicious and enjoyed by all. I would recommend this bakery for the friendly staff, beautiful decorating, and delicious cakes!

Yelp
I moved to East Boston about 3 years now. I rarely go out in East Boston but today my roommate recommended me this place. I'm thrilled about it and can't wait to return. 1. This is a small bakery. Because of Covid you may find a short line when you get there. 2. The pastry is inexpensive compare to a lot of bakery places in Boston but the quality is equivalent. You're looking around .50-.60 cents a piece. 3. I personally think this is one of the best bakeries in town considering their price.

Yelp
Still great price great taste. Haven't been there for few years, store is moderated, better lighting, and cute.

Yelp
Lovely bakery with delicious pastries and very friendly staff! Would recommend to all visiting East Boston.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. There is always a line out the door because they're adhering to appropriate social distancing measures. I went in and my Spanish is tough but I managed to order and the woman taking my order was so sweet about trying to teach me about what each pastry is called! I tried all of them in the photo and every single one was delicious! I especially liked the apple turnover and the churros! Great little bakery to support during this time. Not to mention all of the pasteries below were just $7

Yelp
This place feels like home. Reminds me of our best community bakeries in Latin America :) This is my happy place in Boston. Extremely reasonable prices, I always walk out with an enormous haul of baked goods as gifts for friends and family. Highly recommend the banana cake and coconut guava pastel. Thank you for existing!!

Liz B.

Yelp
I just got a Rosca de Reynes cake. Looks great. Story is very clean and all the baked goods look and smell great. A little bit of a line but it moved fast.

Hannah D.

Yelp
I got churros and Mexican Conchas, both wonderful, super clean and beautiful bakery. I'm excited to come back!

Robert H.

Yelp
This place is outstanding. Great great quality and well priced. The store is extremely clean and the owners are incredibly friendly and professional. There is an excellent selection of multiple breads and their tres leches cake is beyond amazing.

Yelp
Stayed in East Boston when we visited the city and this bakery was awesome! Pastries are cheap but delicious. I didn't know much about traditional Mexican pastries other than churros but WOW! They were so good! If you are on your way to the airport this would be a good stop to make to pick up some tasty breakfast. We went 2 mornings in a row and also had the Mexican Sweet Bread and Conchas. Next time I am in Boston I will definitely be coming back.

Ashley A.

Yelp
They have a decent selection (keeping in mind that this is in Boston). They had conchas and orejas and other pastries. The great thing was that it was cheaper than I thought it would be for Boston as well. I grabbed 5 pastries and paid $3.09. What a deal!

Edith O.

Yelp
Tasty bread with good selection, the team is very friendly & prices are fair, I drive 20 min just for my bread. Tip: go there early if you want to get flan they just fly!

Kassy R.

Yelp
My mom always bought cakes here, she ordered a cake here for my cousins baby shower and she clearly explained how she wanted and they said they would do it, she went to pick it up and it's not how she wanted it at all. Instead of saying we are sorry we can fix it for you she said that the lady had it explained it to her over the phone that it would be like that and that they couldn't do anything about it, mind you the baby shower is the next day. Bad customer service.

Yelp
I have looked high and low for a baby Jesus to put in my rosca de Reyes, the pastry latinoamericanos make for January 6th (Epiphany). Low and behold! This place not only sells roscas, but also has the baby Jesus inside (its part of the traditional game)! A traditional latinoamericano bakery, Lolly's have Rosca De Reyes in small, medium, and large. I can't wait to dig into this lovely little treat, and find me a baby Jesus! Also has all your typical latinoamericano bread/bakery goods... mmm-mmm!

Suzanne K.

Yelp
Their pastries are good but I am inclined to give them only 1 star because certain employees will up-charge you if you are not Latino. We live in the neighborhood so we have come a number of times and generally get the same things. Some days - depending on who is working the register - we will be charged a couple bucks and other times significantly more. A suggestion to management is to have prices listed instead of letting employees charge what they feel is appropriate based on ethnicity. (Being Spanish-speaking doesn't help. My husband is fluent in Spanish and will speak to them in Spanish, but we still get over-charged.)

Yelp
Unfortunately I did not get to try a baked good from this bakery, because once we entered an employee who I later found out was named " Judy " who was taking on the phone yelled at us telling us no pets allowed! I explained to her he was a service animal. She answered with " I don't care he is still a dog! ". I immediately left as she was very rude and disrespectful, she has no customer service skill whatsoever and the manager of the location, should address this issue promptly. I would definitely not recommended this bakery to my friends and family and would actually advise them to beware.

Virginia R.

Yelp
I love picking up some bread when it is freshly done! So warm and well made! Both the French bread and any sweet bread you buy here will taste great. The location is small and sometimes hard to move around when there's a lot of people, but the prices and quality do not disappoint!

Heidi S.

Yelp
I been coming to Lollys bakery for years but lately their customer service level has been worst every time. I order a cake 2 Days in advance for an employee and when I when in to pick up it wasn't even done. I have to wait for the cake to be done, they need to add an extra employee in the morning.

Guillermo M.

Yelp
My new go to place for authentic Mexican bread. Loved the day of the dead bread although didn't like that it was pink! But the flavor was amazing. Conchas looked a bit different to what I am used to but they were amazing. Nice that you can order and pick up your freshly made bread.

Aldo A.

Yelp
Best Latin bakery in the Boston area! Prices are reasonable 0.50-$1.00. The staff is usually pretty friendly! The con has are the best and I love their biscuits! Only downside is that they are close on Sunday's which is when most people need their sweet bread craving. If you live in the area, best place to park your car so you can get the fresh conchas in the morning before work.

Anabel M.

Yelp
The best and authentic Mexican bread in Boston, Also the roscas de los reyes magos!! I love it

Stacie B.

Yelp
This place is a true hidden gem. I'm almost hesitant to review it because I want to keep it secret! It's VERY GOOD and VERY INEXPENSIVE. It's a classic bakery filled with mexican pastries and breads. Every time in downtown, I make the 7 min detour to Lolly's and bring back treats for my office, my nanny and my house! Today I ordered a traditional Mexican Tres Leches birthday cake for an office party, and EVERYONE wanted the name of the bakery. Beautifully decorated with fresh fruit inside and out, and extremely reasonable prices. If you haven't tried Lolly's- get there!

Zachary R.

Yelp
My husband and I were looking for a wedding cake in the Boston area and wanted a tres leches cake instead of the fondant nightmares we were finding elsewhere. We dropped by Lolly's and found exactly what we wanted--a scrumptious tres leches cake! Everyone loved it!

Diana G.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! My five year old loves their sweet treats. They make the most delicious tres leches cake. I go here for every special occasion. The lady at the counter is very helpful also, when you need help deciding on what decorations will be appropriate for your event. I had luau themed party and the cake was phenomenal, EVERYONE fell in love with the vibrant colors that they used. On top of it all they have great prices. The only bad thing about this place is all the carb temptations!

Yosiris P.

Yelp
Need bread, come here. Bread, cookies and back home pastries (South or Central America) are made fresh daily. Tons of people come in at all times. Expect for there to be a line out the door, but the wait is well worth it. A huge bag filled with bread, cookies and cake will only set you back $20 dollars and you will have baked good for an entire week! Parking is horrible at times but just keep going around, people usually come in and out.

Yelp
I just moved to East Boston and walk by this bakery every day on my way to work. I finally went in today, and i wanted to walk out with everything! Though its small, there are a ton of delicious treats-from regular bread to pastries, to Salvadoran/hispanic breads and sweets. I will be back to try more!

Luvv Z.

Yelp
My co worker is a Spanish ,since the first day he bought me a piece of cheese bread from this bakery I in love with this flavorful cheese bread and it so fresh ,and so cheap no the price. I alway ask him to bring me that when he go near to that area.I would really want to go this store and check it out for more delicious bakery.
