"If you scroll through Lolo's Instagram while you're hungry, the medically safe thing to do would probably be to place an order immediately. That’s because it’s filled with all sorts of delicious Filipino BBQ dishes, like glistening short ribs, garlic shrimp over java rice, and chicken adobo. The medically safe thing to do would probably be to place an order as soon as you finish reading this blurb. Actually, why don’t you just do that now? Pickups are in Eagle Rock, and watch their Instagram for an announcement about their next event." - Kat Hong

Friendliest place! We brought a road trip group of 8 at lunchtime and service was fast. Food was tasty. Fries were excellent. The cashier knew all the local customers by name so you know people who live there know Lolo's is the place to go.

First, I do not write many reviews. However, this is a hidden GEM! The food is fresh and tastes EXCELLENT! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I feel grateful that this business is located so close to my work. Every now and then when I get a hankering for a chili dog and okra this is the place!

Yelp
Bologna Sandwich 5/5 Service 10/5 Onion Rings 3/5 The true definition of southern hospitality. A restaurant run by a family that treats you like family. It was my first time and they took the time out to suggest items to me and ask me what I liked. I even had input from another diner who was apparently a regular, who told me to get the bologna sandwich. And BOY was it delicious. HUGE. Couldn't eat it all in one setting. I liked it because it was on white bread, the bologna was thick sliced and charred (which a good piece of bologna always has) and the toppings were fresh. The only reason I gave it four stars is really no fault of their own. It's just the onion rings were too greasy. I know, I literally ordered a fried side, but they were like drenched. Perhaps it was just my batch. When I'm in Fultondale, though, I'll definitely be stopping by. I want to come back for the hotdog which is supposed to be the standout.

Yelp
We stopped at this establishment after a flight into Alabama to visit family. We were greeted nicely and ordered chicken fingers with fries and a special dog and a chili dog. The food came out quickly. Both meals were consumed quickly and were enjoyed. The hot dogs were seasoned and dressed well and the chicken fingers were tasty and served with ranch dressing. Please give this place a try.

Yelp
I came here thinking that this was Daisy Dog & Burgers. I had heard talks about it , and wanted to give them a try. Turns out that it's now Lo Lo's, which was formerly in Avondale. The former DD sign is still on the building as well as Lo Los' being on the door. This was extremely confusing but the current owners cleared up my confusion. Lo Los Hotdogs (formerly known as Lo Los BBQ), isn't a large place but there are several tables, a few booths and a mounted tv available for dine in customers. I placed a TO- GO order for #1-Lunch Combo (combo was two reg hot dogs with choice of any side). I got fried okra as my side and it was some of the best fried okra I ever had! Highly Recommend! Lo Los serves up breakfast as well as lunch (tues-saturday/see pic of menu I posted). Some of their menu items includes: breakfast sandwiches, omelette plates, breakfast platters, breakfast bowls, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, corn dogs, fried green tomatoes, fries, okra, etc. to name a few - Since they sold bbq at there previous location, they were offering a bbq special. I was impressed with their overall menu & I really enjoyed my food! I am already planning my next visit! The husband and wife duo who runs Lo Los Hotdogs are extremely nice and friendly! They seem to truly enjoy what they do and take pride in it. If you were a fan of their location in Avondale, I suggest making the trip out to their new home in Fultondale, AL.....it's well worth it!

Yelp
I really wanted to love this little place. It is right by my house so I was really hoping to have a great little local place to grab some lunch. Something that Fultondale doesn't have much of. I had some confusion on what exactly it was. The current sign says Lolo's BBQ, it use to say Hotdogs, yelp says hotdogs, and then there was Lolo's BBQ in Crestwood in Crestwood that is now closed but looked to have an identical menu. I am going to base my opinions on this be Lolo's BBQ. We walked in, we didn't smell or see any smoke from a fire. The lady at the counter greeted us, she was super nice. She informed us that every plate came with a fried corn cob. The menu was spread out into 3 different spots. 1 was the main menu, then on a side wall was daily specials, then by the drink machine was a different daily special that we didn't see until half way through our meal. Our food came out pretty quickly. The sweet tea was very good, so that is an instant win in my book. On my plate I had, pulled pork, potato salad, and coleslaw. The pork was dry. It tasted like it was made in a crock pot other than in a crock pot it doesn't get that dry. It had no smoke flavor. Not that all pork has to, its just that with "BBQ" on your sign and being in the heart of Alabama surrounded by some of the best BBQ restaurants in the country it better be good. It came drenched in this thick sloppy sauce. 100% not my style of BBQ. The only time I had worse BBQ was when I ate BBQ in Chicago. This does not stand up to Alabama BBQ standards. The coleslaw tasted like it came from Sams club. The potato salad was decent, a little too mushed for my taste. The fried corn cob.... I'm really just not sure about. I don't understand the thinking behind frying a corncob. I felt that it took away from the flavor of the corn cob. A classic corn cob with some butter suits me just fine. We sat in there and hung out for a little over an hour. The last behind the counter was super nice the entire time and told us to stay as long as we like and get some refills. The cook came out of the kitchen and sat across the dining room from us and started making several obnoxiously loud phone calls. It was borderline yelling, its not a very big dining room. As we were sitting there people were coming and going constantly. Almost every single one of them came in and got hotdogs. Maybe the hotdogs are they're best. I will have to try them instead. However with the name "Lolo's BBQ" I though I should eat the BBQ. Overall the lady behind the counter was great. The sweet tea was great. Most of my meal went in the trash. However, I am willing to go back and try the hotdogs, and I may try their breakfast as well.

Yelp
This is one of the most down to earth restaurants I've ever been too. My husband works for Jefferson County and he stops here a lot for breakfast and lunch. They were so inviting when we came in. The service was excellent. The food came quick and was fresh. I had the bacon and cheese omelette with onions green peppers and tomatoes. It was really good. They had all types of options for food as well. I recommend this place for anyone that loves a good breakfast or lunch.

Yelp
If you are passing thru, check them out! A little dinner breakfast and lunch place with great food and friendly people. Very small on the inside but plenty of room for a table for 4. I got a plate of BBQ pulled pork, fried okra, and potato salad. And don't forget the fried apple pie! They are killer.
