The 13 Best Restaurants In Deptford - London - The Infatuation

"Lomond, a pocket-sized cafe in Deptford’s railway arches, is really good at the small stuff. Bagels are filled with avocado and bacon, but the bacon’s got a maple glaze and an oozy fried egg’s orange yolk waterfalls over the whole thing when cut. Unhurried chats with the staff are had about Guinness cake (it's very good) and the playlist (also good). On an average morning, there’ll be solo eaters, reading while slurping from turmeric-coloured mugs, and locals who have come specifically for the sujuk (Turkish sausage) and some deli essentials, all appreciating the comforting breakfast classics with a little added care." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna, daisy meager

Lomond Review Review - Deptford - London - The Infatuation

"Sometimes it’s just about heating up a cinnamon bun and serving it with lashings of butter. Lomond, a pocket-sized cafe in Deptford’s railway arches, is really good at that—the small stuff. Bagels come with the fillings of avocado and bacon, but the bacon’s got a maple glaze and an oozy fried egg’s orange yolk waterfalls over the whole thing when cut. Nothing is rushed here. It’s the kind of place where unhurried chats with the staff are had about Guinness cake (it's very good) and the playlist (also good), before helpful menu recommendations are given. Deli essentials like Torres crisps and wine are sold too, propped up against the racing green counter. On an average morning, there’ll be solo eaters, reading while slurping from turmeric-coloured mugs, and locals who have come specifically for the sujuk (Turkish sausage), all appreciating the comforting breakfast classics with a little added care. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Sinéad Cranna

Brunch was exceptional! I had the Shakshouka and my partner had the Turkish Eggs and both were done perfectly. The flavours were beautiful. Coffee was fantastic and service was 10/10. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

This café is absolutely amazing – it’s my go-to spot for coffee every day, made just the way I like it. The food is consistently great, and my favorite has to be the sourdough toast with extras :) – simple but perfect. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and even has a homely feel to it. The staff are always welcoming and super accommodating. I also love the new idea of wine evenings – a fantastic selection of wines at really friendly prices

Absolutely incredible food, I mean they never disappoint, my partner and I come here at least a couple of times a week and we’re always amazed at how insanely delicious the food is.

Visited this restaurant and bar a few times over the course of a week and was super impressed with the food, and the kind service was second to none. Great menu featuring fresh items thoughtfully cooked to perfection, and an extensive coffee menu served hot and fresh as well. Everything is made to order and worth every pound £. Try the breakfast and return in the evening for wine, you’ll love it here.

Came here for breakfast as I was googling breakfast spots in the area and Lomond stood out. Great coffee!! And the gentleman (assumed the owner) was really sweet and helpful. I ordered the Turkish eggs with chorizo and added halloumi, bread was fresh and thick and perfect for lapping up every edge of my plate. Majority of the seating is outdoor though we sat inside as it was cosy. Toilets were around the corner shared with the neighbouring stores, clean and big! Thanks for the yummy breakfast!!

Google
Outstanding coffee and brunch! Deptford high street is full of brunch spots, though Lomond is up there on the top. The coffee is amazing and the food is prepared with care and super delicious. When the cafe is busy the service is quite slow, but I am afraid that is because the kitchen is small and they are perhaps understaffed (?). If you are willing to wait then you won't be disappointed.

Best brunch in London. Coffee is amazing, food is delicious and such a variety of sandwiches, bagels, stews etc... Great ingredients, perfect seasoning and presented beautifully. Staff provide good service. Perfect spot for a breakfast, brunch or coffee

Possibly the best coffee and brunch in the SE We have been coming here since it opened 5 years ago and a testament to how good it is that we are here every week. So pleased this is on our doorstep as we love supporting local independents, we love our food and good coffee. The coffee is brilliant and the food is spectacular. Given the small size of the premises (in the railway arches in Deptford Market Yard, part of Deptford train station) and the popularity with support from locals, expect to wait over half an hour for food and during busy times a wait for the small amount of tables. Take the time to soak up the atmosphere, take something to read or a good friend for company. The food and coffee is worth the wait as it’s made with love and care and your supporting real people. We love the toasted avocado and chicken sandwiches, bagels and sweetcorn fritters but have tried the whole menu and it’s all amazing. There is always a delicious selection of cakes, pastries and treats which go hand in hand with exceptional coffee.
