Merlin Labron-Johnson Leaves Michelin Star London Restaurant Portland | Eater London

"Lily O’Brien’s celebrated jam shop and café hosted a sold-out one-off izakaya dinner by acclaimed udon specialists as part of a Hackney pop-up; the event took place on 15 November and served as the venue for the specialists' one-off dinner." - James Hansen

Can’t get enough! full rackets experience and worth every penny. Brough market is always packed, so avoid weekends as can be quite busy and full of tourists, weekdays are the ones to go!

Lovely shop! Got a range of options for jams. Friday staff as well.

Absolutely amazing jam! I just tried the Damson and Black Pepper flavour and love the taste - it has a great complexity to it and the perfect amount of each ingredient. Also the tote bag is a great size for shopping - I would highly recommend!

We eat an embarrassing amount of their jams. The rhubarb is out of this world.

The best jam you can get - once you’ve tried you can never go back to Bonne Maman. The flavours all have a bit of complexity to them. I love the greengage, plum and fennel pollen.

I love this tiny shop, dishing up unusual flavours of jam (excellent presents, excellent for breakfast), a craft beer pop-up from local brewers, and oddities like flavoured doughnuts or jam jar drinking glasses. A little hipster, but I can forgive that for the high quality of what they sell.

The jam here is great. But what's even better are the incredible breakfasts, lunches and cakes. The atmosphere is friendly and you often end up talking to the other people having a coffee.

Just moved to the neighbourhood and discovered LBJ last weekend. We got the raspberry and hibiscus + gooseberry and elderflower and both delicious/almost finished! We’ll definitely be back (especially cause we live 1 min walk away now!)

Yelp
LBJ Jam is just... well, nothing short of amazing! We discovered Lillie's (we feel like we know her) jam while eating scones at a local coffee shop in Islington. My husband instantly fell in love with the jam and snapped a photo of the tag. Once he discovered the origin of the jam, he dragged me along on an adventure to discover where this this oh so perfect jam came from. It took us a little while to find the little hidden gem of a shop, but we were delighted once we arrived. My husband purchased 6 jars of jam on his first trek to LBJ and our counter has rarely had less than 10 jars sitting upon it since then. What we most love about this jam is the ratio of fruit to sugar (much more fruit than most store bought jams) and the creative flavors. Some of our favorites include: - Blackberry and Bay - Sweet Pickled Strawberry - Fig and Earl - Raspberry and Lavender - Sweet Pickled Peach Our friends are also lovers of LBJ Jam and we frequently meet up at the local coffee shop just so we can have scones, clotted cream, and LBJ jam together! I never was much of a jam lover myself, but since having LBJ jam, I find myself a true believer!
