On a Sunday night, the restaurant was pretty empty despite they had a lot of take out orders. People must not want to feel the summer heat and rather stay at home. I happened to be the only dine-in customer during my first time visit, nevertheless the waiter served me very well by patiently explaining to me about their food and also answered my many questions such as how they prepared the food, what’s the ingredients, and spice level, etc. I ordered the waiter’s recommended dishes, including an appetizer of Samosa and an entree of Korma curry chicken. The Samoa was served in 2 pieces and they were larger than what I got from other Indian restaurants. It was basically deep fried and filled with peas and mashed potatoes with drizzled brown sweet and green lightly spicy sauce. It was very filling. For my entree, I asked for a spicy level of 5 (from 1 to 10 where 10 is the highest spicy level) Karma curry since it would be in a safer zone. But I think next time I will go for spicy level of 8. The curry sauce is too sweet for me but probably popular for the most customers. It was pretty creamy and delicious although I wish it would be more flavorful and the chicken chick could use thighs instead of chicken breast. The Indian rice was a little bit of dry to me. Overall, I had a good experience and would return to try their weekly lunch buffet that is priced at $18.95 per person plus tax during 11:30 am to 2:30 pm M-F.

Google
So glad I found this gem in Laurel. Food is delicious but service by Ruchika and Ram were what sold me! Very attentive and made our first visit memorable. I had the bhuni curry that came with rice and my sister had the kabobs with garlic naan. Both really tasty! Definitely coming back. Support this business!

Google
London Curry House in Laurel, Maryland, is a must-visit for Indian food! The food was bursting with authentic flavor, and every dish was beautifully crafted. What made the experience truly unforgettable was Ram—his service was immaculate, attentive, and kind. It’s rare to find such exceptional hospitality. Amazing food paired with top-notch service—10/10 recommend!

Google
The food was pleasing, notably the sweet naan with nuts. I suggest they enhance their menu by incorporating chai and more snack selections. London Curry House - Laurel, MD

PS

Google
Good ambiance and a very hospitable staff. Food tastes good. Chaat, Garlic Naan were great. They add food-grade color to Butter Masala gravy, let them know beforehand if you don't prefer added color. They also add a 20% gratuity to a party of 4 or more. Overall good experience but do not recommend it for dinner.

Google
Came around 6:15 on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating. The food was very tasty. We ordered samosas that were spicy and delicious. Definitely get the Tandori saffron chicken breast; meat was tender and seasoned. The Naan bread was crispy and soft, perfect! We got spice level medium for all the entrees and everything came out just right. Highly recommend this place.

Google
Food was good. Need to work on Masala tea. Although it is upto individual. But still, in a desi cuisine restaurant should keep the tea authentic, more ‘KARAK’- more taste . Only A desi would understand

Google
This little gem is tucked away near Maple Lawn on the Howard County side of Laurel. Excellent food with your choice of spice level 0-10. We had 6 and it was just enough kick if you like spicy food. The drinks are strong. The bread is hot, crispy, chewy and delicious. We will put this place in our rotation. BTW, the cauliflower appetizer is reason alone for more visits.

Yelp
I was looking for a new Indian buffet, and my GPS surprised me, since there's a Montpelier Road in Laurel. Nope, this one's in a shopping strip halfway between Burtonsville and Columbia. The narrow space has veddy British decor, including an iconic red phone booth. I was disappointed by the size of the buffet, only 8 slots with two of them naan and a fried version. No chutney at all, only one dessert. The mains were all chicken, no goat or lamb, with very timid seasoning. The tandoori chicken was dried out and not very flavorful. Yes, I was spoiled by the late lamented Sapphire, but this was just bloody awful, and no bargain at $20. Meh.

Yelp
We ordered delivery from here and it took a while to arrive but the food was really good. The quantity was great. I ordered the non-veg thalli. It came with two different types of chicken dishes and a chickpea curry. Everything was super flavorful. I asked for a level 10 spice but to me it was only a level 3, but the flavors were so good I was fine with it. I also tried the garlic naan and it was a nice size and just an average naan. I wish it was a little more fluffy. The onion salad was good. The chicken tandoori was very flavorful as well. I was really happy about the quantity and flavor of the food.

Mita B.

Yelp
The staff os super friendly and the ambiance is ok. The food had good reviews so we went. It was definitely lack luster. Flavors were not blended. Maybe their takeout is better?

Donna Y.

Yelp
DoorDash review I ordered from here using door dash. It was for pickup and the order was ready ~15-20 mins. Right in time for pickup! I tried the goat biryani spice level 7. It came with a side of yogurt sauce. The rice in this order was not as dry as I generally prefer. The spices were nice but not as spicy as I'd hope. The goat was large and chunky but a few pieces were dry and tough to eat. Overall, not my favorite biryani but I'd come back to try another dish maybe the lunch buffet?

Troy C.

Yelp
The food was excellent. I was excited to see Indian Street Food as part of their menu! My favorite is Pani Puri! I'll definitely be back.

Ifeoma I.

Yelp
This has been my guilty take out pleasure for a couple of weeks. We usually get a couple of appetizers and I love the biryani! Note that they ask for a spiciness preference and DO NOT joke with the level you indicate. I usually go with a 5/10 and really feel the heat. So if you'd like milder/are not really heat tolerant I'd say a 4 or lower. Would like to stop by in person one of these days.

Lloyd D.

Yelp
This is our first visit and it didn't disappoint. The interior is small but we'll decorated with flashes on India and London. I had the chicken tikka masala that was flavorful and the right heat level for me. When ordering your can select how hot from 1-10 which is nice. The naan was warm and delicious. There are many options for Indian food but this will stay on top of our list.

Eric H.

Yelp
Really good lunch buffet; friendly staff and owners. I was traveling home to Laurel from Columbia, and had wanted to try London Curry House for a while, so I stopped in. The lunch buffet did not disappoint. First of all, the place is small, and the buffet setup is also small. But don't let that fool you; these guys have got game. Their Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala and Palak Paneer were on point, clearly homemade and fresh, with just the right amount of kick. The lentil dishes are full of depth for an umami experience that balances out the spicier stuff. The sauces and raita were fresh and flavorful. The Samosas are huge and the Golub Jamun dessert is unusually good. It was served without the breading and with some rose syrup that made the whole lunch special. Is $18.95 a lot for a lunch buffet? It's more than before the pandemic, but unfortunately, that's where prices are today. Between supply shortages, price gouging from wholesalers, and confiscatory rents for commercial space, every restaurant is changing more, and people are eating out less often. But for my money, when I'm nearby, this is a great choice for a weekday lunch.

Anna F.

Yelp
I ate at London Curry today to try the lunch buffet. The service was spectacular and my favorite was the hot and sour chicken soup. The soup had a kick and was flavorful. There were a lot of buffet choices and tried them all. It wasn't crowded at 11 am and will definitely come back again.

Holman V.

Yelp
The hair curry goat is tasty- I also orders the garlic naan- it is burnt and ruined the experience of having bread with the my meal

AJ M.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place. I do a lot of British Indian Restaurant (BIR) cooking myself at home, and I wanted a change. I tried the buffet. The chana masala was one of the worst I've had - bitter and almost burnt (and no it wasn't smoked aromatics). Chicken tikka is overly salted in a thin, watery sauce. One of the vegetable dishes tasted like it had a hefty dose of vinegar in it (like no Indian dish I'm familiar with) and another dish, the korma was again thin, with the vegetables seeming like a bag of frozen mixed vegetables and a potato. Not cheap either. I did think the restaurant itself was nicely decorated, tables well spaced, and easy parking. But if you're used to good Indian food, this is not it.

Gwen G.

Yelp
We ate here last night. The service and the food were excellent. My 30-something child has eaten in many Indian restaurants in Pittsburgh and said that this was possibly the best Indian food they had had. It is a small, comfortable place. My 30-something had wanted a bloomin' onion at a steakhouse, but the steakhouse was packed. So we went here on a whim. In the place of the bloomin' onion, I got them an onion pakora - chickpea flour batter dipped onions. We had onion pakora with cilantro dip, garlic naan, palak paneer, corma paneer, chicken bhuna, and chicken tikka masala. We all tried each other's. You can order the heat to your dish 1-10. I had the corma paneer at a 3. I had kept the cilantro dip that came with the onion pakora, which reminded me of pesto. Dipping naan (like fry bread) in it between bites of the corma paneer cooled my mouth a little between bites, and made it all the more delicious! Highly recommend!

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Fabulous customer service. The servers and management were all very kind. I tried a few things from the lunch buffet and was a bit disappointed by the minimal choices. Rasgulla: 1.5/5 -overly sweet with an odd dry/spongey texture -chicken Tikka: 3/5 -naan: 4.5/5 -samosa: 4/5 -Chana Masala: 3/5 Judging by the many glowing reviews, I would assume that the regular dinner menu would be a better option than the buffet.

Val A.

Yelp
Convenient location however very disappointing. Small portions $18.00-22.00 for five cubes of chicken. Ordered Butter Chicken and Garlic Nan. Also ordered sparkling wine however the manager told the bartender to serve the open bottle of moscato. They tried to say that Rondel is champagne not sparkling wine. I thought this new local restaurant would try to give a better customer experience.

calvin h.

Yelp
To be fair i only went for the buffet but found it very limited in selection and what they did offer, such as chicken tiki marsala, had very little meat, only sauce. This was the case for every main meat dish at the buffet. I thought perhaps the food was just taken by the patrons and would be replaced but it never was.

Sophie K.

Yelp
This is the best Indian food I have had! I got the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. The flavor of the chicken tikka sauce is sooo tasty. They let you pick the spice level from 1-10 which was nice. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful! I accidentally ordered from the wrong location originally and they helped me to resolve the issue. I highly recommend this restaurant! I did carry out however the paintings and lighting in the restaurant were also cute. The food is by far the best part though.

Annette C.

Yelp
Have eaten here several times. Had the chicken biryani thali today and I'd dare say it was the best flavored biryani I've ever eaten. The spices were pure perfection! Kudos to the chefs who cook here because they season the meats and all the food exceptionally well. Samosas we're very good as well. Atmosphere is great as is the service. Biggest bonus was that my thali included a glass of wine. Bonus points for all meats being halal!

James F.

Yelp
Had the Malai chicken curry and the Tandori chicken . Fantastic. The Butter Naan was delicious. We ate indoors rather than takeout. Food was fresh and tender. Delicate flavors.

Arti M.

Yelp
Very good authentic food. I tried soya chaap , and eggplant curry and garlic naan. Even biryani

Mohamed M.

Yelp
They don't do customer service. I asked on the phone if they had tandoori chicken. He said yes. He didn't mention that it was just a little appetizer and that there's another separate entree version of it. He gave me my food in a double knotted bag. No fork no napkin. I had to ask him for silverware after I placed 3 orders. He gave me 1 silverware. I had to ask can I please have at least another set. You can't just ask them general questions. You have to be really specific because this place will not automatically donany of the basic customer service you'd get from any normal restaurant.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
The place is charming, like stepping into London. The staff amazing and the food was delicious!

Null V.

Yelp
Awesome food awesome staff. The greatest place to visit if you are visiting nearby locations

Justin C.

Yelp
Excellent all around. I stop here each time I am in town. I recommend the samosa chat!

Dakota L.

Yelp
Great food, unwelcoming vibe. The Bhuna is amazingggg. So is the garlic naan and veggie samosas (although they are extremely overpriced). You get your moneys worth here. I love the food. Hate the customer service. They do their jobs, but that is it and that is all. A welcoming attitude is apparently not a part of their job.

Steve B.

Yelp
This is by far the best Indian food I have ever had! This is a must if you are in the area. The service is fast and extremely helpful when there are questions. Restaurant is small but very bright and fun!

Vu N.

Yelp
Wanted to love this place but food was just average and quantity was minimal. Unfortunately fell short of our expectations.

George P.

Yelp
Great selection and many types of curry! The garlic naan was delicious. Spice level option is nice! An 8 spice level was pretty high for my tolerance but very tasty. Many Veggie options are available. The Taj Mahal beer is smooth!

Vipan V.

Yelp
Good food great service good location restaurant was nice decorated.Restaurant was very neat and very friendly.restaurant was great and very clean and relaxed.Butter chicken was very tasty and buttery naan was very tasty. I will definitely recommend this family friendly restaurant.

Cecile Y.

Yelp
Go now!! Omg this is my new favorite restaurant! Been meaning to check it out since it opened, and I'm so glad I did! Everyone was so nice and welcoming and made me feel right at home. I ordered the Butter Chicken and the garlic naan to go. Sat at the cute bar and had a glass of Cab while I waited. Tore into it when I got home (before I even thought to take pics!) and it was soooo good! The naan was so soft and fresh and the butter chicken had the perfect amount of spice (you select the amount of spice on 1-10 scale) with the hint of sweet. Best I've had in a very long time. Next time I will dine in. This will definitely be my new go-to spot. I'm betting once you go, it'll be yours too!!

Royon M.

Yelp
Came out of town and was looking for a place to eat. I was SO lucky to come across this place. Not only was the customer service OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! But the food was some of the best I've ever had. The interior was also so colorful and alive. Wil definitely be recommending this place to everyone and will definitely be back if I'm in MD again!!

Greg R.

Yelp
Food was very tasty and great customer service I took my my Dad their for a Saturday dinner.

Kavita T.

Yelp
Steer clear of this place. When I went to pick up the order, the cashier immediately added a 18% tip without giving me the option to decide (didn't notice until after I left). Ordered a chicken biryani and there was barely enough chicken in the order or spice. The chicken that was in the biryani was uncooked and the rice was greasy. Save your wallet and stomach.

Sofia C.

Yelp
This restaurant just opened near my house and I am so glad I tried it! I got butter chicken, garlic naan and samosas (pics attached, but i ate a few bites). The sauce for the butter chicken was broken a bit, but otherwise it was super flavorful! The samosas were hot and crispy 10/10 would get again. I will definitely return next time I want take out!

Suzanne B.

Yelp
This small Indian restaurant has good food and quick service. It's a great choice if you are looking for a quick bite rather than a dinner you will linger over. I had the butter chicken, which was good. My fellow diners enjoyed their meals too, Service was very friendly, the manager checked in to make sure all was good.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at London Curry in Laurel, MD. I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the fantastic experience that I had. Your food is excellent, and the service was responsive and prompt, and the ambience was perfect for the setting. First and foremost, I must commend for the outstanding quality of food that was served. Every dish that I tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. From the chaats to the tandoor items (veg and non-veg) to spicy curries, each dish was a delight for the senses. The balance of flavors and textures are just right, and every element is executed with care. I highly recommend trying it for yourself - your taste buds will thank you. I have been here multiple times and consistency is the key as you would want every time. The service at your restaurant is appreciated. All your servers are well trained and courteous. They were attentive to my needs throughout the meal, offering recommendations and ensuring that my dining experience was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It was clear that your team was passionate about providing excellent service. Lastly, I must commend your restaurant's ambience - where the images on the wall transport you to London. Picture of Anthony Bourdain is great tribute to the American celebrity chef. In summary, I cannot recommend London Curry enough. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. For food lovers, do experience the London Curry. - HP

Yelp
Wonderful staff and service. Food was very good but smaller portions than expected. We would come back again due to the excellent location and staff.

Barry R.

Yelp
I rarely do reviews, but, I gotta give this place a huge "thumbs up"! I'm a bit of a picky eater and it's rare that I'm willing to try new things. London Curry House (in Laurel - not D.C.) has the very best curry dishes that I've had the opportunity to try and the sides...OMG (esp. the Samosas) are absolutely amazing. Don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall fool you; the food is fit for fine dining. I would recommend London Curry House to lovers of Indian cuisine and those of us who want to try something new or people who have had previous experiences with Indian cuisine and would like to experience it at a much higher level. Thanks to the owner and his staff.

Tracy G.

Yelp
We had a lovely experience. The owner was patient with us (fairly new to Indian food). The cocktails were different, interesting, and very tasty. The food was great. The Hari and Vindaloo curries were both delicious. The restaurant itself is cozy and nicely decorated. Casual/fun. We would definitely go back.

Jo R.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place. The decor is really cute- British pop art/ Indian details. Great vibe. Their naan are really expensive but worth it. The spinach dish was really flavorful. Perfect spice level. Their rose sugar bar dessert was really yummy. I would want to order it again but I didn't like the syrup on it. I haven't seen it on the menu lately. Food was good but pricey. I wish they had more fusion or British Indian sophisticated dessert and food.

Angela W.

Yelp
Great fish and chips. Could have that as an entree.Service was friendly and fast. Would definitely visit again.

Jerry L.

Yelp
I gave this four star. I have been to this place for a few times and I love to be here. I wish their service can be improved better. But I love it so much I would come back again

Mahesh R.

Yelp
I love this place. As an Indian kid from north Jersey, whos family went to Edison nj every Sunday for dinner, I have high standards for balancing flavor and spice. London curry house is 'the best' Indian food I've had in Maryland. Go.

Andrea H.

Yelp
Hands down, BEST curry I've ever had. The staff are also very attentive and accommodating. We've eaten here a few times now since this location has opened and it's been amazing every time. My go-to is the Hari curry with chicken. You won't be disappointed, go check them out!

Andrew D.

Yelp
Delicious food, excellent ambiance, and fantastic service. 10/10

Team Bryce F.

Yelp
This place, is as amazing as advertised, I and in the Fulton MD area that is saying a lot as most places to eat in the Fulton MD area are very underwhelming. It's in a strip mall or shall I say a Food Strip Mall, and it is the best of the 4 choices to eat, Kolby's is a good second option, but this is by far the best, skip the low grade Mexican place, this place, the rice is cooked perfect, the breads, the drinks, appetizers, everything, all 4 of our main courses outstanding. We come into town each year for about two weeks and always make a point of eating here at least once, I highly recommend, go and try it, you will not be disappointed by the quality of the food, how the food is prepared and the attentiveness of the owners. Or go to Looney's Pub or Bandito's Tacos & Tequila and pay a lot to be underwhelmed

Neesha P.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Really enjoyed the crispy corn and chicken kebabs. Will definitely return!

Priti L.

Yelp
We went to the London Curry house over at Laurel. My husband and I were thoroughly disappointed with the quantity of the food served, no good service and it was overpriced. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Jeremy A.

Yelp
The food is delicious and the family vibe is wholesome I just love the options of the garlic, butter, and plain naan

Pinky 2.

Yelp
$17 Each for the butter chicken and tikka masala that only had 5 pieces of boneless chicken cubes inside and a ton of sauce. Disappointed. I asked the restaurant if it could feed two people and it could barely feed one if you're hungry. Not worth the price but it did taste pretty good. For the price point and the amount of chicken, it deserved 2 stars. If I wanted five pieces of cubed chicken it should've been $10. Great customer service. Really nice people and very clean and nice decorated inside. The smell of spices permeated the air and it smelled really good. Curry chicken portions just aren't reasonable for the price.
