10 Iconic Places to Eat in North Lake Tahoe That Live Up to Their World-Class Views

"The Lone Eagle Grille’s view — beyond the upscale restaurant’s oversized south-facing windows, looking all the way down Lake Tahoe’s nearly 22-mile north-to-south length — makes an unforgettable first impression. But that’s just the beginning. The Lone Eagle Grille more than lives up to its view: Its seasonal menu includes sustainable and humanely raised meats sourced from regional ranches, fresh seafood, and vegetarian options, paired with a highly curated wine list, craft cocktails, and desserts made in-house by the pastry chef. Located at the Hyatt Regency Incline Village, inside the restaurant, the towering stone fireplace creates an intimate and warm ambiance. The Lone Eagle Grille’s perch at the true northern tip of Lake Tahoe is also one of the best vantages for the sunset in the Lake Tahoe Basin." - Julie Brown Davis

Yelp
Beautifully decorated restaurant/steak house! It feels like you are inside a very fancy lodge or cabin which is the vibe we were looking for as we wanted a fancy night to end our ski trip to Lake Tahoe. The service was great! The sommelier stopped by to pour our wine and didn't try to upsell us to a more expensive bottle which we appreciated it. Instead she walked us through the bottle we ordered. I really dislike pushy sells people so I really enjoyed that. The food was expensive which we knew going in but it was delicious! The martini was well made and my steak was amazingly perfectly cooked with tons of flavors. Not pictured is the asparagus, au gratin potatoes which were outstanding. The deserts were delicious but the baked Tahoe was beautifully presented! Great "treat your self" restaurant!

Yelp
Food: 2/5 stars. Steak was supposed to be medium rare and came back well done. Bartender wasn't capable of making their speciality drinks on the menu. The cheese curds were good. The baked Tahoe was also good. Service: 4/5 stars. Our server and their assistants were great but the hostess was a young girl.. maybe her first job she just stared at us when we came in. A more seasoned host or the GM had to step in but was good. Ambiance: 5/5. Sitting outside on the water is the reason to come Unfortunately the terrible chef and bartender ruined what should have been a top level experience given the prices. I should have sent the steak back.

Yelp
Food was just okay. Service was great. The view was beautiful. Right across the street from the Hyatt hotel. Liked that we could just charge it to the room. Cocktails were ehhhh. Dessert was amazing & would come back just for their desserts!

Yelp
This is more of a cafeteria feeling restaurant than fine dining. It was jeans and t-shirts level casual so we felt ridiculous dressed nicely. Save yourself the $30 to sit at the window. It's nothing special and they don't credit the $30 to your bill so you just paid to guarantee sitting near the window. Other parties strolled in and were seating at the table behind us. We were also seated right next to the bussing station even though the restaurant was relatively empty. The food itself was fine. There are limited appetizers so you end up just ordering a huge steak. They have a limited cocktail menu but with a full bar could make us anything we wanted. The French onion soup was great. I would definitely order it again. The mushroom soup was just ok. The ribeye was good. It had a nice crust and great flavor. The béarnaise sauce was more like a hollandaise and tasted very eggy. The duck salad was not good. The radicchio base was very bitter, which made the whole salad bitter. The restaurant felt like it belonged in south lake. If you're staying at the Hyatt and it's convenient then it might be worth a try, but it's certainly not worth a drive to it for a mediocre experience.

Yelp
Beautiful view of the lake. Foods and service were good. Had the grilled prime ribeye that was cooked to perfection, although it a bit salty.

Yelp
Absolutely first class dining all the way. We arrived early and watched the sunset in the large bar area. It's got a nice fireplace and lots of comfortable seating. You can walk outside and enjoy the beach or deck area. We were seated right on time, next to another fireplace which was perfect on a chilly evening. If you're vegetarian, be sure and ask for a menu, there are more items available than on the main menu. I had a delicious pappardelle with broccolini. It was a generous portion and I believe the pasta is home made. The wine was served to us by the sommelier, who gave us some tips for an upcoming wine tasting trip. As other reviewers have mentioned it is pricey, but in my opinion, well worth it.

Yelp
We came for an anniversary cocktail before dinner at another local restaurant. Very limited seating at the bar. Either sit at the small bar, the fireplace area or one long high top. Servers will not come to you. You have to order at the bar. For $50 for two drinks, I would expect a little service, some bar dry snacks in a little cup but you won't get that here. I've recently been consistently disappointed when coming here. It's such a special place and things can be done much better. It was too cold to sit by the outdoor fireplace and even if we wanted to sit there, there is now a sign that says see the server before sitting. We didn't stay too long, had our drinks, took a photo outside and off we went. I hope things change for the better soon but I have my doubts.

Yelp
Always measures up to expectations. Lone Eagle Grille is a waterfront restaurant that radiates an elevated log cabin feel. My party of three and I indulged in three courses (and a little bit of wine to wash it down). We started with the Mushroom Soup, followed by the Little Gem Caesar, next, the main dish of duck and sea bass, accompanied by the potato purée side (not pictured). We were served first with a warm assortment of bread (rosemary, sourdough, and molasses rolls) with a decadent butter. The bread was warm and fluffy, an excellent start to the meal. I miss the days where all restaurants served complimentary bread with the meal. I was pleased next to be met with a sommelier who poured the light but bold Goldeneye pinot. Mushroom Soup [4/5]- Although the soup had a delicate balance between the acid of the pickled mushrooms, the cream from the crème fraiche, and the spice, it fell short on earthiness and I was not too impressed by the soup. Little Gem Caesar [5/5]: The dressing perfectly coated the lettuce without overwhelming the freshness of the lettuce. The parmesan and prosciutto added a perfect amount of savory crunch. Duck [5/5]: Succulent and well paired with the pinot, the crunch and earthiness of the quinoa added extra texture and flavor depth to the overall dish. Additionally, the parsnip purée was creamy and delicious with the duck. Seabass [5/5] Buttery and perfectly cooked, this dish was a star. The outside was slightly crispy and the inside of the fish melts in your mouth. The sauce was perfectly balanced without overwhelming the dish. Potato Purée [5/5] Mashed potatoes are always a guilty pleasure and this dish was no exception. The potatoes paired perfectly with the duck and seabass. It was adorned with cream and green onions and was addicting. The flavor was delicate, allowing it to stand on its own, or as an accompaniment to the main dishes. I am sad to hear rumors that Lone Eagle Grille will soon be replaced by Nobu. I always enjoy this fine dining experience when I am in the Nevada area. I do find it to be a little absurd that they charge $30 for a window seat, but I did not purchase this because it was night time. It may be worth the while if you have a special occasion. At the end of the meal I was philled (filled). I would recommend Lone Eagle Grille to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in the Nevada Area.

Yelp
Just finished Sunday brunch at Lone Eagle Grille before we drive back to SF - great recommendation from my friend. Amazing ambience with mesmerizing lake view. It's a place where you want to hangout when the sun is out as you can't take your eyes away from the lake view with snowy mountains as the backdrop. It's picture perfect settings! Now let's talk about food and service as it's a restaurant after all. All the staff are friendly and courteous. 5/5 for service. It's a fixed menu for Sunday brunch. $70 per person. I got the fried chicken waffle. Hubby and most of my friends got the steak with king crab legs. One of my friends got the egg benedict. Everyone enjoy their food. I boxed most of my chicken waffle home as I am already 70% full after the pastries, fruit, and cheese starters. After brunch, we walked around the beach behind the restaurant and took a bunch of epic photos. Two thumbs up and we will be back for sure when we are in the neighborhood.

Yelp
The food is mediocre and very expensive but you're definitely paying for the ambiance too. I ordered the Grilled Ora King Salmon Fillet & while it was perfectly cooked & buttery, the maple glaze tasted far too syrupy. I'm not huge on sweets so I didn't enjoy a sweet salmon dish. The leek potato puree bed underneath was tasty though. I also tried a bite of the Wild Forest Mushroom Pappardelle and found it to be overly creamy & lacking flavor. The Angus Beef Filet Mignon was also not very tender or juicy, but I did also try the truffle mac and cheese which was tasty. Really strong truffle flavor which I liked. Complimentary birthday dessert was generous! Came during dinner/night and although it's too dark to see the water, the ambiance was so cozy! Service was attentive & friendly as well.

Yelp
The ambiance was magical, with high ceilings and dreamy lighting, all while keeping a cabin-like feel. We went here for my friend's birthday and they gave us a complimentary dessert and the service was wonderful. The food was pretty good but the ambiance is what made the experience special. I spent a total of $60 for just my entree including tax and tip. Truffle Pasta 3/5 The flavors of the truffle blended into the pasta in a nice creamy base which was delicious, but after a few bites I found myself full. I was expecting this to be a light entree but it was quite the contrary, and I took it home for lunch the next day because I could only eat about half. I would not get this again. Baked Tahoe 5/5 This dessert might've been complementary but it was absolutely delicious. It covered all the bases when it came to texture: spongy, crunchy and fluffy. This is one of my favorite restaurant desserts I have ever had with the different layers inside and the portion was enough for my friends and I (5 people) to have our own slice. Get this for your sweet tooth!

Yelp
The service was very friendly. We live in incline and have tried almost all places around here (beside the restaurant at the golf club) this restaurant definitely is the fanciest and most expensive in town, right by water which I think is the only one in incline village. the kids got their food super fast and we're happy. But other than that save your money it's just not worth the price. There are definitely better places around the lake as one of the guests said "Sizzler might have done better". For a restaurant that's serves mostly beef it's surprising that the sea bass was the best so skip the short ribs and steaks. And the kids have finished their food and we still had to wait another 10 minutes to get ours by then they were all over the place ready to sleep. After we order the food a another family sat down and when they got what I thought was the appetizer they all started to take pictures of it. Only later I found out they came just for the baked Tahoe which is cool (we didn't try it) but I think that says a lot about what you should expect. Maybe it was a bad night we've only been there once but for such a big restaurant that's that expensive I would expect them to do much better and be consistent ‍ Not sure I'll be back if I do I will update this review.

Yelp
Came here for the first time with 3 of my friends for dinner and find out that the food is amazing and all staff is amazing! We were served by Bill which I can only say good things about Bill was super super professional, helpful and easygoing.. highly highly recommend to everyone.. Will definitely come back and can't wait for next time.

Yelp
We got a beautiful lake view table. However that seemed to create a sense of urgency to turn that table over. They were polite but you could sense they wanted us to finish and go. Food was expensive typical flash and small portions. Probably would recommend the bar for a cocktail enjoy the view.

Yelp
We were in for lunch this last Thursday, a couple days ago. I enjoyed their French onion soup. It was particularly scrumptious that afternoon. My wife and I each had the burger and her mother the chicken sandwich. They were satisfied, but I particularly enjoyed my burger. They use quality, thick cut bacon and the cheese sauce was tasty. Their herb fries were crispy and hot. Service was attentive and friendly. Ambiance is scenic and most beautiful. Seating at lunch is primarily in the bar area and reservations are not taken during the week. They do validate for parking.

Yelp
Excellent dinner, ambience, and service! It's a little pricey for what it is, but not surprising considering it's part of a hotel. Everyone suggested getting. The bison, but we did not (and glad we didn't to be honest). The best dish hands down was the sea bass! We dipped everything in that lemon sauce. I would come back just for this dish alone. The filet was perfectly cooked, and the salmon was a little over- but that's how I like it anyways. We also got a side of scallops for the filet and it was perfectly seared. Even though the restaurant was busy, they did not miss a beat!

Yelp
This place was gorgeous for sure. We sat right in front of a window view which we payed for it extra to reserve the table to sit there. We brought our own special wine bottle which the corkage fee BTW, is $50. A bit steep if you ask me to open a bottle. I live in Sonoma, and even in Sonoma is 25-30$ max at any high end restaurant to open a bottle of wine. Food was good. Came out relatively fast. Was cooked to perfection, and all in all I enjoyed it. Service was excellent. Very attentive and our waiter was on top of things. My reasoning for my 4 star, is due to the super high prices in the menu. The extra charges to pay to reserve a table with a view ($50), and the unreasonable $50 corkage fee.

Yelp
Low average food. I chose the crispy braised rib salad. Deep fried in a very thick batter and 2 oz of mayonnaise on top. It was bad. My husband had a hamburger. It was mediocre and expensive. Ambiance was phenomenal. Right on the lake. Service was good
google avatar

Danielle V.

Yelp
If you have kids make sure you sit in Sherri's section! She is phenomenal with kids and has the patience of a saint. Food was good but the service was unmatched!

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Not sure why the negative reviews. They had a great wine selection and the meal we ordered was delicious. If you're coming to a fine dining restaurant, expect to pay fine dining prices and you won't be surprised by the bill. :) The service was on point, but most importantly, we couldn't get over the view and the breeze, even on a hot day. We would return!

Andrea A.

Yelp
This was just ok. We paid $30 for a window seat which sucked, all we got was a view of the people who paid $50 to sit outside. Food is highly priced as expected at a resort. The soups were the big winners. French onion and mushroom were delish. Didn't even get dessert because we waited forever for waitress to bring the menu. Eventually gave up after 20 mins and found someone to bring us the check.

Yelp
I was searching yelp for restaurants with good reviews. I decided to give Lone Eagle grill a shot. I made reservations by the window which is $33.00 extra but the view was worth it. We had and absolutely fantastic time here. Food Caesar salad- well dressed little gem lettuce oozing with freshness. Pan seared chilean sea bass- perfectly seasoned and moist Cabernet-braised beef short rib- incredibly succulent, practically melting off the bone. Mushroom penne rigate -exquisite, and the porcini cream was very tasty and flavorful. It's screaming umami flavors! I highly recommend saving room for dessert, as the baked tahoe is truly a must-try. The cheese cake was also delicious. The customer service we received was topnotch. We had Billy and Ricky. Both demonstrated unparalleled professionalism and excellence. Ricky was assisting Billy, both ensuring that the dinner progressed at an ideal pace. Shout out to Ricky for being super attentive, consistently checking in on us throughout the meal. Ambiance- nothing beats the view of lake tahoe while dining with my favorite people. The restaurant was spacious and love how it was set up. My only complain is that the hostess was kinda rude, unfriendly and snobbish. I did not get a welcome/positive vibes from her. Her name starts with an E and ends with a Y. However, the hostess that took us to our table made up for it. Anna was super friendly, professional and was very welcoming. Parking We were staying at the hyatt so we just walked to the restaurant. I saw parking spaces in front of the restaurant so I don't think it would be a problem. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Quick Summary Great view of the lake. Food and service were good, but probably one of the worse molasses breads I've had. Cocktails were good as well. Pricing was a bit high but you are paying for the ambiance and the views Food- 4 stars Bread- the free bread was very disappointing. The molasses bread was probably the worst I've had. One bite and I was done Short rib- this was very good. Perfectly cooked and very delicious Chicken- the dark meats were good and juicy. However, the breast was pretty dry. Sauce was solid though Service- 4.5 stars Service was relatively fast and attentative. Had a few moments when we had to flag down our waiter, but was usually taken care of well Bottom Line Solid restaurant with one of the best dining views of Lake Tahoe. Skip the bread

Yelp
Beautiful room on the lake. Good service. and good food. Absolutely lovely room with all the characteristics of Lake Tahoe -mountain - romantic fine dining. Dark natural wood, dimly lit lighting, high ceiling, lakefront views, and nice fireplace. We started with the Onion Soup. Topped with melted emmental cheese which gives it a milder flavor than the typical Gruyère. I found the soup a bit on the sweet side which is most likely due to the type of onion that they used like yellow or Spanish onion which has higher sugar content. Personally I prefer the white onion in Onion Soup. But nevertheless it hit the spot on a cold Tahoe night. Jumping straight into the main event, we went toe 2 toe with Bison Tenderloin with bone marrow butter, mushroom jus, and the Ora King Salmon with charred Napa cabbage topped with a pistachio ailade and blue cheese maple rye crumble. The bison was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the bone marrow added a nutty fattiness to a lean meat. The mushroom jus didn't bring much to the party. It was thin in flavor and did not stand up to the bison meat. The Ora King Salmon was well cooked. Moist interior with a crisp char exterior. The Napa cabbage had a wonderful smoky charred flavor and the ailade added a nutty crunchy texture. However, I thought this dish was a bit disjointed as the Napa cabbage did not complement the salmon. The salmon although cooked perfectly, needed a sauce even if it was just Dijon mustard. We also had the Roasted Crimini Mushrooms as a side dish with Sherry cream herbs. We found it to be in the acidic side. Our waiter efficient and timely but on the auto pilot robotic mode. Our busser on the other hand couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Lots of parking in the front. Would definitely come back to this beautiful room and enjoy another meal. Happy Eating!!

Yelp
I booked this place for my husband's 30th birthday dinner with 9 of our close friends - a party of 11. We were interested in a nice steakhouse in the area near the casino to centralize our evening activities. My rating here reflects the experience we had regarding service and food. The food: Most of us ordered some type of cut of steak. My husband and I opted for the Prime New York (this was actually decent) and the Pan Seared Grimaud Duck Breast. The duck was so over cooked - it was dry, hard to cut, and hardly worth the $63 price. We ended up sending this back and not asking them to remake bc it was so bad. The sides were decent - specifically the Creamy Peas & Pancetta - I'd order that again. The baked tahoe was a fun dessert as well! The Service: We arrived at 8pm for our reservation and no one came to the table for 30 mins. It was moderately busy (which I understand), but would have appreciated if they at least checked in. When we finally had someone come to the table, she explained the menu and then disappeared for another 20 minutes. I had to flag down several people to even try to get a drink order in for a bottle of wine. The somalier also wasn't great - she poured the wine and gave some attitude when we had asked her to pour the rest of the bottle amongst us drinking it (the pours she did were very small). She didn't describe the wine or do anything special given she deemed herself the "somalier". Eventually we got our entree order in. We didn't receive our entrees until about 9:30 (an hour and a half from when we arrived at this point). This was super disappointing. We had an evening planned that we were not able to carry out due to how long we spent at this restaurant. The saving grace here was the assistant waitress - she was much more attentive than our main waitress and I felt horrible that she was carrying the weight of all the tables she had. When I told the waitress that our duck was over cooked she looked at me weird and said "you ordered it medium" and I had to argue that it was not cooked medium. I wasn't rude about this I just didn't want to pay the premium for an overcooked piece of meat. Another person in our party sent back their food as well - it was a bland vegetable pasta that wasn't worth the $30 price tag. The manager ended up coming over and said they would throw in a dessert and comp some other items. When we received the bill nothing was comped and the service charge was 20% (this is fine and expected but also the service was subpar). A friend in our party had to take the check over to the manager to call this out and he told the waitress "take off two salads" and then walked away without another word. All in all this was a disappointing experience with a giant price tag as the crappy cherry on top. If you're looking for a nice steakhouse - try elsewhere.

Yelp
A very poor experience. We are local, even supported this restaurant during the long COVID era. Kids menu, $32 and no drink included. Clearly their raw costs for the food alone for butter noodles, small compote of melon and a couple of blueberries, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, maybe $7? Which I should mention ice tea and soda runs $6 per. The restaurant or should I say the bar area lacked ambiance. One of their other "rules" is you can't sit in the main dining hall any more for lunch. So, we got stuck in the rear corner, no view. Worn seating, carpet, that's a few years overdue for replacing. Did I mention garbage on the floor from the patrons previously? We certainly didn't get the view we were used to, I mean, heck, we are spending an easy $200 for two adults and two tykes, it should provide a good space between patrons, this isn't Dennys, or is it? Not to be in a bar area with tables. Lady next to us was wearing pants that read "f*u€k. That was an experience when my little who's learning how to read to see and try to sound out. Also, they no longer take reservations for lunch. Now, let's chat about service. Well, that too was a bit rough. Perhaps they are understaffed? But we had no one come over and refill our waters, or our $6 beverages. Adult beverages; if you like your wine, just go to the local bottle shop. I mean, a 8oz piss cup of their house swill will set you back a cool $20. Look folks! I have no problem dropping Benjamin's if it was worth it, and I almost never post if yelp, but, consumers beware. Looks like the place is in its last leg. No longer has the north shore glamor that once was. Save your money, enjoy the grand views, and juicy stakes and craft cocktails and go to the charthouse! So, if you come back on holiday folks, save your time and money.

Yelp
The best thing about this place is the views of Lake Tahoe. Luckily, we were seated next to a window- right before sunset. The service was pretty good too. We started with octopus as an appetizer. It could've been softer, and the tip was burnt. I had the Colorado lamb chops as my main. It sat atop harissa tahini yogurt, which was not great. I expected it to be creamy, but it was thick. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly though, as was everyone else's grilled meat. We also ordered the asparagus and mushrooms as sides as our plates didn't come with anything else accompanying them. We loved the mushrooms. It's probably all that butter. Afterwards, we shared the baked Tahoe. It is definitely not a one person dessert. They comped the dessert as a birthday dessert, which was nice. Overall, the food is pretty good BUT the prices are quite high. I could've had an even better meal elsewhere for less. I guess I'm paying for the location/views.

Yelp
The location by the lake was excellent. We went there for a romantic dinner, and the restaurant has 2 rooms- a big beautiful dining room and dining tables next to the bar. We got seated in the bar area, even though the restaurant was only about 10% occupied- which meant during our dinner we constantly had people's butts next to us at the table. My review would be 5-star - food was great, service was great.

Yelp
In town for a wedding and I found this restaurant on line showing 10 best in the area. The yelp reviews were not great but I liked the picture of the interior and figured how bad could it be? It wasn't bad, it was excellent. From the staff to the food! We were seated promptly, greeted by our server. Food came quick. The servers were all very friendly. Would definitely return!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places in around Lake Tahoe area. Whenever I have out of town guests, it'll always include lunch or dinner at this MUST GO restaurant. The restaurant itself is GORGEOUS and well designed with a luxury cabin feel and a huge stone fireplace. Then you get these amazing views across the Lake. Breathtaking, but especially when the mountains have snow in them. Service is always gracious, warm and friendly, without being trite or cliche. My guests and I have never had a bad meal here. They update the menu with seasonal offerings and keep their tried and true favorites. You really can't go wrong with this place.

Yelp
Fabulous food and service!!! We had Billie and Doug taking care of our experience and it was 5 star. Drinks were strong and food was great!!! Thanks for an amazing date night!

Yelp
NOT truly dog friendly. We had a 10 lb well behaved puppy poodle, in a stroller no less, and still we were rejected at the front just because we did not lie about her not being a "service animal." Considering the distance, time, energy, and money tourists spend to come visit Tahoe, you would think a waterfront restaurant like this (with outdoor patio area) would be a little more understanding and accepting of our furry little friends. That's OK. We'll take our business and money elsewhere.

Yelp
Food: Must get the bison! It was absolutely amazing. Ordered medium rare. Perfect crisp on the outside and lean and tender in the inside. The béarnaise sauce was so delicious and a perfect match for the tiger shrimp and the bison. I'm so glad I ordered it! Also, had the little gems Cesar salad. Great dressing, delicious and fresh, but the portion could have been slightly bigger. It was more of a side salad. For desert was the crème brûlée. I am kind of a crème brûlée snob as I must order it anytime I see it on a menu. It didn't disappoint. It was on the thicker side for a custard, which I didn't mind at all. Yummy vanilla bean flavor, nice hardened torched finish. Service: We showed up late for our reservation and they still nicely accommodated us with no wait. And even during a busy holiday weekend so we definitely appreciated that. We had a very nice server with our wine service and our food order. Both knowledgeable and checked on us frequently. Ambiance: Was a log cabin feel. Lake views! Large restaurant with 2 big fire places. A lot of large parties they easily can accommodate. My experience was lovely.

Yelp
Review for Dinner! This is supposed to be a nice place to eat. It is not cheap with single menu items costing $80. With that said we were prepared to spend a little money. The service was not great. But I will get into that a little more later. First let's start with the food. The only good item ordered from our entire table was my salmon and asparagus. It was actually very good and worth the money. My brother ordered the shrimp pasta. It was cold and in a bad red sauce. I love shrimp but when I tasted it I could not even finish the piece I took. My wife ordered the baked brie and french on soup. The brie was actually good but they served it with stale bread! WTF!! What was even worse was the french onion soup. It had rubbery cheese on top and the soup tasted burnt. There were 5 of us and a small child. The kids chicken fingers were extremely dry and the child with us could not eat it. The waiter was nice but never checked on us. When I finally got his attention I told him the salmon was excellent but the french onion soup was not good. Instead of apologizing he said that he has been serving it all night and no-one has complained?? I explained that he has two people who ordered it here and both of them are complaining. To those who are not nice when you complain I try and be very respectful of the staff. I stayed respectful even though he frustrated me with his response. After we were done it took us close to 20-30 minutes to get our bill. When we did the waiter put his tip on there already saying we had a large party? 5 plus a child. Be very wary of this place for dinner. It was not even close to worth the price we had to pay. No alcohol, 3 entrees, 3 appetizers, and a diet soda. $300. I dont care if you can see the lake from here (not at night). I would avoid coming back any time soon.

Yelp
The host staff at this place may win the gold medal for being the absolute worst in history. We've been here before and knew to make a reservation, so we did. In fact, we had no trouble getting a last minute reservation and even changed the time to earlier (7:00 p.m.) with no trouble. My point being they were NOT that busy at all. We counted about 20 empty tables upon arrival. As we were being seated we mentioned that we would only be getting dessert and drinks because we had an early dinner. That's where we went wrong. We should have let them seat us first. They refused. They said we could sit at the bar or on the couch if we weren't eating dinner. Now if you know me, or have ever met me you know I have a very bad next so I NEVER do high tops of any kind for any reason. That's exactly why I always make reservations. These people are out of line. This is not listed on their website as a policy and we have had this same things here more than once before (also dinner in the last as well once). Their grill is way overpriced for what it is but their deserts are very good. One star for the horrible service. My wife was legitimately offended. I just take my frustration out here. Won't be back!

Yelp
It's a nice place. I only started going here a couple of years ago. Dined here once at the restaurant in the back and sat at the inside bar a few times. The service was great, the bread was good, and my meal was tasty. What a beautiful view. my only complaint is that the bathrooms are always horrendous. They smell, they're out of TP in every stall, never any soap, and shreds of seat covers sprinkle the floor. You think for a place like this they would keep them a little more tidy. Oh well.

Yelp
Got here at 5:50 and they refused to seat us until 8:45 since they were "fully booked" Other people came in after us without a reservation and got a table immediately. Place looked nice though

Yelp
Came here with my husband for dessert. Had a reservation but they told us we could not be seated in the dining room unless we order a full meal. This is new and not a posted rule. We've had drinks and dessert only here in the dining room with a reservation more than once before. We have a weekend home here and I plan to tell EVERYONE how they made us feel. There were a lot of empty tables as well. It sure who runs this place now but what a joke. Won't be back even though we do like their desserts. Their dinner menu is very much overrated in my opinion.

Yelp
Came here for dinner the other night. Beautiful location right in front of the water. It was too cold this time of year to sit outside and enjoy but I'll definitely be back to take in the view in the summer months. Sadly The lighting in the restaurant is non existent, that's my biggest complaint. It was impossible to read our menus. Even our waiters agreed it is beyond dark and unfortunately they're unable to control it or turn on more. I get ambiance lighting but this is beyond that. Maybe some candles on the table? On to the meal. The fresh bread basket was crazy good! Loved the assortment. The butter was actually room temperature and not a frozen unusable brick like at many other places. I got the Thai pumpkin banana soup. Sounded too interesting, how could I not? I was so glad I tried this! The flavor was so warm and had depths of flavors. I highly recommend this starter. My son and I both had the linguini bolognese for our main course, it was absolutely delicious! Lots of beef and pork ragout. So yummy! My hubs tried the Elk strip loin with blueberry gastriche. It was cooked perfectly. Just in the picture itself it looked very dark against the dark sauce, like black lol. But still tasted very good. A tad startling to take in at first. For dessert we had to got the baked Tahoe, aka a baked Alaska. It was really difficult to cut in half but the insides were frozen so made sense. It was good, very sweet with the marshmallow but plenty big enough for sharing.

Yelp
A well know restaurant with its unique location and view. Next to Hyatt regency Lake Tahoe. Lunch reservation walk in and dinner reservation preferred with $50 deposit on window seats. You can tell staff your room number and the bill goes to your hotel charge. The ahi tuna tastes very good, has all the elements that I expect in a tartar. Smooth avocado, good sauce and yam chip. I would finish 3 of them if I can. Hubby likes his sandwich as well. Although one point that doesn't meet my expectation is that they only have limited number of window seats (3 tables) in the lunch zone and they are not opening the other half (dinner zone). The experience would be even better if everyone can enjoy the view while eating.

Yelp
Come for the view. Stay for the view! The ambiance is inside a cozy cabin overlooking the water. Order a drink and some food to snack on. We ordered the charcuterie board. The board had a variety of cheeses, meats and fruits. Their old fashioned was tasty and strong. To stay warm I ordered the French onion soup. Dinner time the Chilean sea bass was delicious and some of the best asparagus (shockingly yes I am saying asparagus was delicious). The customer service is attentive and very friendly and accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed. Their spirits and wine list is extensive a lot to choose from. Come here on your escape away from home.

Yelp
A lovely place with stunning view and a private beach. Parking is free for customers. The food is great but on the heavier side. Prices are a bit high (appetizers $20-30s, entries $40s-100s). Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. When we looked for a Sunday night reservation the day before, it was booked till 8.45pm. Our server Justin was amazingly warm and helpful despite being very busy. Free warm bread and butte were very high quality (rosemary, rye, and garlic country bread). The best value on the menu was for kids:) $32 for an appetizer (a delicious mixed salad), an entry (my daughter had a simply but tasty grilled chicken with Broccolini, there was also salmon, or pasta if you so chose), and a homemade icecream. The tomatoe soup was silky and well balanced. The peas and prosciutto was rich and umami. The cremini mushrooms were tender and juicy, with a perfect seasoning. These elegant sides plus the perfectly seared giant scallops were definitely a show of good chef skills. They also gave us a free crab salad, which was fresh but too salty. The best part of the experience were the unforgettable sunset on the beach and the friendly service. I think smaller portion sizes with more moderate prices and more first come, first serve seating would improve the experience.

Yelp
From views, to service to the quality of food: ALL was amazing! I'll start with the bartenders Joe and Carson! We went last night on the late side 8:30. No tables were avail in the bar which has the better views but there were two seats waiting for us at the bar. Carson and Joe welcomed us. They were great to chat with, had great recommendations on what to order. They made it very comfortable for us to enjoy our meal at the bar. Lone Eagle is lucky to have them. They make a great expresso martini! We talked their ears off and they made us feel like long time customers. Food was great, we shared the New York steak, big portion and cooked just right, wedge was great, French onion soup was delish! View is perfection! Go, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Overpriced garbage. $32 minimum for a kids menu? Who the hell do they think they are. $20 for a tiny cup of microwaved trash soup?

Yelp
Best dining experience in the Reno/Tahoe area, based on the food, service, and mostly ambiance! Notching beats this view! Party of 7 for my daughter's 21st was set up at a large round table in a room off the main dining room near the beach. We got scallops and the ahi as apps and while the scallops were beautiful, especially the parsnip purée beneath, the ahi poke was out of this world. My favorite dish here is the bison filet, but the regular filet, the braised short rib, the pork chop and the chicken were also ordered and everyone was really happy with their food. We ordered one of almost every side for the table: whipped garlic mash, fried fingerlings, broccolini, mushrooms, and truffle Mac n cheese. They brought a Baked Tahoe for dessert which we all shared and it was perfect to share that way others got to try the lemon tart. Everything except the Mac n cheese, fried onions on the bison and the lemon tart was gluten free. We love celebrating our family milestones here and were lucky to get in with a reservation three weeks prior. We live in Sparks and were planning on a night out in town but everything was booked for convention season - every hotel was completely booked! This was an even better plan b and we had the most wonderful experience with the skilled staff, excellent food, and, of course, the beautiful Tahoe sunset view!

Yelp
Well I have been going to this fabulous location for years Yet my latest visit for a birthday dinner was my likely last one My wife's birthday to celebrate... We arrived, not very many customers on a Sunday night The hostess wanted to seat us right next to the kitchen, they knew it was a special night The ambience is cold and sparse No candles , cold lighting, unfriendly feel The menu not very elaborate and no special dish available on a Sunday night ?! Prices have skyrocketed, not unusual in this day and age, yet not worth what was served The quality ok, yet very bland and unexciting Overall a disappointing experience This place could rock and be so wonderful Maybe the proposed change of venue has led to just letting things go Then we were told the proposed change fell through Overall a sad experience and disappointing to say the least Bye bye Lone Eagle !

Yelp
Drinks, food, service and ambience were all amazing. We had dinner with a view. A million dollar view! We had the cowboy steak, lobster, mushroom, onion soup, wedge and famous Tahoe bake, all were excellent. While we were waiting to be seated the bar tender made us dirty martini and coal miner's daughter.

Yelp
Place was good. Way over priced for what it is however. Ambience was nice. Imagine a lodge room with a big bar. Staff was wonderful. Price took it down to 3 stars.

Yelp
Good place. Loved the location, the staff was friendly, very accommodating to are larger party. The food was very solid. We each had different dishes, from duck to seafood to vegetarian. Love the traditional Tahoe vibe in this place. We've been around Tahoe for much of our lives (in and out) and it's always nice visiting one of the more traditional joints that is high end but not particularly for the new post 2020 crowds.

Yelp
I've always loved this place for many years so so disappointing to give a three star reviews. The location and ambiance is a five. The cocktails, quality and price are a two. Charged $26 for a dirt martini is steep! Staff however and service were great. We won't return for food sad to say.
